Amazing tour

Val was amazing. We ended up being the only 2 on the tour and she made us feel like family. We got to try some very interesting meats and came home with delicious wine! Would highly recommend.

Not really a "food tour" of Geneva/Switzerland

My guide was lovely, and all the vendors were very friendly and welcoming - however it was underwhelming as a food tour. The highlight is the food market and wine and cheese experience, but the tea, olive oil and sweets were not specific to Switzerland and I found this to be very over-priced considering the experience.

More than a food tour…it’s an experience!

This is a must for anyone looking for a great food tour. This tour exceeded expectations and our guide Val made this an unforgettable experience. She was very personable, highly knowledgeable. Fabulous food tour in Geneva

This company (Tom and Val especially) were so kind to us. They helped us reschedule when our flight to Geneva was cancelled and were very communicative. We loved how the tour was centered around what was unique and local. It was the perfect way to spend the day. Highly recommend!

Terrific afternoon with Val

We had a wonderful time on the food tour in spite of the fact that it was in the 90s that day. Val was a terrific guide and all the owners of the stores we went to were so friendly. It was a very enjoyable day.

A PALATABLE EXPERIENCE!

This whole tour was spent with a delightful, knowledgeable and fun guide, Irina. My friend and I loved sampling the variety of foods, wine and oils. Our wine coniseur was extremely interesting, sharing his love for wine and the history behind it. The oil sampling came as a surprise to me because I never realized the many flavors that are possible. Meats and cheeses at the deli were a first to my palate. Fun and delicious

My family and I had the most amazing time with Irina as our guide. We enjoyed everything from the olive oil to the cheese to the chocolate and everything in between! Irina was knowledgeable and really enjoyable to spend an afternoon with. I would highly recommend this tour if your visiting Lake Geneva.

Walking, Eating and Drinking with Friendly Val.

I was ready for a walking taste of Geneva and got much more. Val was so happy and accommodating to take me to all the places she loved best to share the culture and food of Geneva. I felt Val took great care of not only me but the venders we visited, greeting each by name and introducing me to tastes and flavors I would have missed on my own. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this great experience.

A great tour to see local food & products

A wonderful tour to see adorable local shops and taste authentic Swiss food through Lausanne. The shop owners we visited were so passionate about their products and were so kind. They shared many foods, olive oils, wine, teas and products with our group. Bring comfy shoes (Lausanne had a lot of steep hills and steps) and an appetite! Keep your fingers crossed Val is your guide. She was exceptional and kind and set up an amazing tour with the vendors. As soon as you meet her she is warm and welcoming and by the end of the tour you are family. This was a very cool tour and we are so glad we spent time exploring Lausanne. Thank you and thank you, Val!!

Fantastic Experience With Fantastic Guide And Delicious Goodies

I booked this food and wine walking tour as a surprise for my fiancée during our recent trip to Geneva, and let me assure you that it deserves all of the 5 star reviews it has received. Our tour guide, Val, lived up to the "hype" in the reviews - she loves people, loves her job, and loves Geneva! She is also very clearly has a good working relationship with the various store proprietors, which greatly enhanced the experience. We really appreciated the wide range of food, wine, and store visits that gave us a well-rounded tour of "goodies" and places. I also think it's worth noting that my fiancée and I were the only two people on the tour that day. Many other companies might have played "the numbers game" and canceled or treated us to a lesser tour. But not these guys. That speaks a lot to their business model and I really appreciated it.

What an amazing & memorable day. I can't say enough how much I loved the entire tour, my day with my awesome guide Val and the truly wonderful vendors we visited. I appreciated so much the time & thought that went into to where we visited. The tour was so much more than just the wine & food. A fabulous food tour with Val

Val our guide was knowledgeable, fun and very sweet! We had an absolute blast touring with her!! As we traveled with her it was clear she was a favorite of all the places we stopped. The Hall of the River was like nothing we have seen before!! All the foods displayed and the meat tray we were served was incredible! We loved tasting all the different kinds of delicious meat! We loved the wine store and visiting with David! He was so knowledgeable and very fascinating. The history of the store was also fascinating! Not to mention two wines and cheeses we were served. Such an enjoyable time! The store with the olive oil and playing along as Silva tested our sense of taste and smell was so fun and my wife won hands down. We had never tasted truffles before and found that we liked it! And to close off at the fabulous award winning pastry shop was the icing on the cake (pun intended). Such a fun joyous time with Val!! This tour with Val was clearly worthy of the 5 star rating!

Val was a spectacular guide. She gave us a great time in Geneva, the history of the city not to mention about the food and wine. The providers we went to on the tour were really nice people and sure knew what they were talking about as we sampled their products. This tour was worth more than its cost.

Amazing !!!

Eat and chill is a must if you visit Geneva. Val is amazing, smart and funny. She made me feel at home.. we laughed, danced, sang .. omg we had so much fun. And not to forget, she is very knowledgeable and knows all the hidden gems that Geneva has to offer. Oh and … she is also is a masseuse.. best massage ever! I honestly feel asleep lol . Just perfect after a long day walking through this amazing town. Definitely will recommend this for a great unforgettable experience.

Great introduction to the city!

Great tour - Val had lots of fantastic information about Geneva and introduced us to so many lovely people on the tour. Because of covid we weren't able to eat on the tour, but Val called us in advance to let us know the situation and offered us a refund if we didn't want to take the covid option. We were keen to do the tour so went for it anyway and we just took the food and wine home to eat and drink- and it was very generous. We were snacking on the cheese for days! All the food we had was delicious. Highly recommend.

Highest Quality Food and Fun, Energetic, Personable Guide!

Val was a great guide, we felt a tremendous local connection to Geneva. The variety and quality of the shops and restaurants were excellent. The wine, cheese chocolates, and charcuterie were delicious, along with the shop owners who explained what we were eating/drinking. Thanks to Val for a wonderful last day in the city!

Fun time with food& drink tour in Geneva

I did this tour with a friend and we had a great time. Val was our guide, she brought so much energy and passion for this tour ,she made it an absolute blast. We stopped at several neat places to sample some delicious food ,wine and chocolates. At each stop, Val was well known and made sure we were well taken care of. Vl gave us some tips on where to go in Geneva and some interesting facts. A great experience!

Fun with Val

She was really a scream. It was really memorable, just Val, my wife and I. Need I say that the food was amazing? David, the wine merchant was the most knowledgeable and personable individual we have ever met, and we’ve toured countless wineries.Val instantly became family. Geneva is certainly a gourmands dream.

Fun and tasty!

We had a great time with our guide, Val! She took us to some interesting places that we wouldn’t have found on our own. All the food was delish!

Enjoyable tour with Val

Val is personable, lively and fun, and being with her really made the tour great. She's friendly with shopkeepers in several quality food shops and stalls. We would never have found these places ourselves. Here are a few highlights. She first took us to a market where we sampled tasty cured and cooked meats from two stalls (while it was interesting to see the difference, I'd have preferred more variety instead of two similar stops). We visited a high-end condiments store and tasted olives and various interesting olive oils. We climbed a church tower for an excellent view of the city and the lake. A visit to a fancy perfume shop was an nice twist, and we ended with a wonderful chocolate store. Along the way Val shared some colorful stories about living in the area and the history of her extensive travels.

Highlight of our trip to Geneva

Val was excellent. We sampled several new foods and some wine with a few surprise stops as well. Val was a friendly and well informed guide. We would recommend this tour for the beginning of your time in Geneva because she had several suggestions for other activities to do there. The food and wine were all excellent, and we learned a lot about the city.

Fun time with Val!

Had a great time on this tour! Val was a blast and we loved eating our way through Geneva! While we didn't try a wide variety of food, we tried high quality of foods and I would definitely recommend this tour!

Awesome tour. Don’t miss it.

I am submitting this review on behalf of my friend, Martine, who toured with the amazing Val on 14 May 2019. Val was simply excellent. She customised the tour for me as I told her that I am blind and that my ankles were quite sore at the time because of all the long-haul flying. As such, she made sure to include tactile, tasting and hands-on experiences instead of visual scenic stuff. I got my own private tour but they do definitely guide groups of people, of course. The staff at the outlets we visited treated us like long-lost family. The tasting platters were generous, the guessing games in terms of what you’re tasting were fun and one gets a lovely history lesson as part of this all without even realising it. I couldn’t finish all the lovely treats, wine and goodies received. Val packed it all up for me so that I could enjoy a “party after the party” as she put it. I definitely did that later in the evening. When Val arranged for a taxi to pick me up following the experience, she told me more than once to call her should I get lost or some such. I felt as if I got to know an unexpected, lovely friend. Extra note from me (Jocelyn): When I contacted Val to book this tour for Martine, I was impressed by many things. Firstly, the speed and the enthusiasm of her reply. Next, was her thoughtful offer to customise the tour for Martine to include additional sensory experiences. Third was her speedy and helpful response when Martine’s flight to Geneva was delayed, which meant Martine would miss her tour with Val. When Martine got in touch about the delay, Val was able to reschedule without fuss. Of note, I recently tried to book Martine onto a food tour like this in another country. I received an instant ‘no’ because that operator thought it would be too difficult and they blamed ‘health & safety’ laws. Clearly, Val does not view any disability as a problem. Instead, she offers ways to help everyone to enjoy her wonderful tours. A big thank you, Val, for your care and professionalism so that Martine had an awesome tour with you. I recommend Val for anyone. You will be well looked after by her as she is kind, thoughtful and focussed on what her customers need and will enjoy. 5 stars from me, too.

Wonderful food tour with Val. Every place she brought us was fantastic, and we got to take food/wine away from every stop. We had such a good time walking with her throughout the city and learning about Geneva’s history. Val is absolutely wonderful!

Great Food Tour

Our Family of 4 very much enjoyed our private food tour including a stop for cheese & meat, olive oil & vinegar, wine, & pastries. We also climbed to the top of the tower in St Peter's Cathedral in Old Town. Fantastic views! The highlight was definitely the all you could eat chocolate tasting at Sweetzerland. The best chocolate we've ever eaten. Can't wait to see the photos they took during the tour.

A Must Do Activity in Geneva

It was a great tour. Our guide was Sylvain,and he showed us around the Old town and cathedral, explained everything, and took our pictures. The gourmet food selections were really good, and the wine stop was great. We really enjoyed this tour, thanks in a big part to our guide Sylvain. This tour is definitely recommended when in Geneva.

Geneva Spectacular

We had an amazing tour with Val. She greeted us at the flower clock on time and she was amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable about the city. we enjoyed our visits to all the local shops that she took us to. Everyone was very nice and willing to answer any questions that we had. We enjoyed our visit to the church steeple and taking pictures of the city it was absolutely breathtaking. This trip is highly recommended and we had a wonderful day.

Perfect Team Event

Had a great event yesterday with our multinational participants in the sunny Geneva. Learned new things about coffee and olive oil. Very knowledgeable wine cave owner! Ended tour with Sissi experience at Beau Rivage where I never did dare enter privately. Fun walking tour of Geneva

My husband and our teenage son and I had a wonderful time on this walking/eating/smelling tour of Geneva. Our guide, Valerie, was delightful - fun and engaging, full of interesting facts about Geneva and its buildings and institutions, and always keeping things easy and fun. My son is not a big fan of walking tours, but Valerie kept him in mind at all times - he ended up having a great time. We walked about three miles altogether, so wear comfortable shoes! And everything we tasted was so delicious - this is not some cheapo food tour. It was expensive, but we all agreed it was worth every penny.

Good food, amazing company!

Very authentic tour, Val made seem like having Geneva being shown to you by an old friend who know where the hodden gems are!. Also, loved the fact that in every stop, the shop owner/cletck was attentive and happy to talk/answer any questions about their craft and yhe city in general Would definitely recommend it for Geneva first timers!

I can't say enough wonderful things about the tour. Our tour guide was so engaging and shared much history of the old city of Geneva. The shops we stopped at for the food and wine were friendly and passionate about their products. The food was delicious. We had a treat of experiencing perfume at Fragrance Du Bois and perfect ending of spectacular chocolate at Sweetzerland. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Geneva!!!

Amazing, to do !

A great original way of discovering or of rediscovering the city with in addition tasting of regional quality products, and visit of an atypical perfume shop. Guide, Valérie, makes us straightaway very comfortable. She is dynamic and joyful and tempts us to pursue this walk in her company. And she's wonderful with children. In summary, a visit not to be missed and a great value for money.
