Great trip but bad weather

This was a great trip. Our guide was very nice. The only issue was the weather. I wanted to see the mountain range from the glass box, but we were all fogged in. I suggest bringing a warm jacket. It’s chilly.

Breathtaking views and well knowledgeable & friendly guide :)

Tony was a brilliant guide, the trip was well organised and worth every penny. Very knowledgable and a lovely Trip. Tony explained everything to us and showed us where to find everything in the town. Thee views are breathtaking and such an amazing experience. There were options too so we could choose what parts we wanted to do. It was defiantly the best past of our holiday and the kids loved it too (aged 3, 8, 11). It's very cold so defiantly dress for the weather. I will defiantly be returning. Just a warning if you take children then make sure they are ok with heights. My son only went half way and my 3yo was too small to go all the way due to altitude. But it was fine as my hubby stayed with them and my 8yo went all the way up with me. It's great as there are options for all abilities. You won't regret it!

Chamonix and Mont Blanc Day Trip from Geneva

I had an incredible time on this tour. The views were breathtaking and the tour provides excellent value for the price. Our tour guide was awesome at providing instruction, explaining history behind the places we visited and gave us an active and fun itinerary. I hope to be back soon to book this tour again.

Great tour

The spots visited were excellent, the tour guide was knowledgeable. Had some issues meeting up with tour guide at one point and got lost. They do give you a map which was helpful. Overall not disappointed and I would recommend this excursion.

My tour guide has not...

My tour guide has not been fair to all customers. I felt he didn’t treat us the same as the rest of the group. I felt mistreated and abandoned.He must improve and treat all customers the same way. Also needs to improve his English.

Chamonix was a dream!

We had a great time on the Chamonix tour! David was a great guide and even took us to a wonderful surprise before coming back to Geneva.

Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful time and the guide Poppy and driver Patrick were kind and professional. Amazing experience! The views are amazing! Chamonix is a lovely town. Everything great except train was under repair and they told us we would be given a refund. I contacted Viator and they said they were checking with tour company and still haven’t heard back. Hoping to hear about refund soon! Other then that lovely!

Wonderful views of Mount Blanc, disappointing rest of the day

The cable car experience was wonderful. The views at the top were spectacular. Unfortunately the rest of the trip was less than optimal. We did not get to walk on the glacier and the alternative plan (another cable car trip) fell through as the facility was closed (our tour guide apparently did not know this ). We were all very disappointed and have been promised a refund . We are hoping this will happen.

Best of Best

Was disappointed when Train ride was cancelled however it was compensated with another cable ride which was worth and with much clearer how from the top as glasses were more transparent. It was freezing cold and raining but worth it. Lac Gaillands lake nearby was worth a visit.Must try tour with awesome guide.

Affordable luxury on shoestring budget

We took this daytrip many years ago with my in laws. It was perfect conditions for the skiing and we took many photos of the snow and beautiful surroundings. The price is perfect for those of us in failing art careers (Before I became internationally renowned on par with Picasso). Amazing experience for poor families and students alike to afford a slice of luxury in Mont Blanc.

Chamonix/Mont Blanc

Stunning! David was great tour guide. Train was closed due to weather but we were given other options or refund for ticket. Too cloudy at top to see anything but in the middle it was gorgeous!

Great views at the top.

This was a great tour. It all depends on weather. Luckily most of the time there were breaks in the clouds that allowed for some really special moments at the top of Chamonix. Unfortunately the optional train ride was cancelled due to I believe repairs to the tracks due to an avalanche. I opted for a refund for that optional excursion. But the town of Chamonix was wonderful to lazily spend time in and eat drink and shop. David our tour guide was great. They filled all 50 seats on the bus…which was fine because the group of people were nice and diverse.

What a wonderful experience! It was an amazing experience to see the Alps, and this tour was fun, informative, safe and comfortable. The bus ride there was comfortable and easy. Antoine was our guide and he was entertaining and informative, if you were interested in learning more. As a solo traveler, I was happy that he was easy to find and willing to help. I actually had no idea when booking this excursion what I was in for, and it exceeded my expectations. Perfect view of Mont Blanc from Aiguille Du Midi - of course this is weather permitting - and we were even able to view the Matterhorn from the top. We were not able to take the train ride to the glacier and ice caves, due to longer than expected maintenance work - completely unpredictable by the tour company or anyone else - but Antoine made sure to take us to another vista to view the glacier and again, kept us engaged and interested. The town of Chamonix is beautiful and has plenty of places to shop and purchase macarons! Would definitely do again.

Edge of the World

One of the best experiences I had ever. The Chominx town and Mont Blanc mountain was excellent and I had a lovely time with my wife. This should not be missed under any circumstances.

The ice cave was amazing!...

The ice cave was amazing! Prepare to walk steps and then steps back up! But so worth the trek!!! Hard to believe that a family carves thus out EVERY year!

Brilliant day

We were lucky that the weather was favourable - brilliant blue skies and no wind. Chris the guide was nice and since it wasn’t too busy we didn’t need to rush too much or queue for too long. The walk down to the ice cave was easy enough but steep so perhaps not advised unless reasonably fit and steady on your feet. Nicely organised, definitely recommend.

A great day out!!

This was a great tour! The weather wasn't so good the day we went and it was snowing and freezing at the top of the Aguille du Midi, but it's the mountains so you get the weather you get, but we still had a wonderful day, and by mid-afternoon the sun was shining and we had great visibility at the glacier. Our guide was punctual and very helpful and made sure to account for every passenger. It's expensive to do the full package, but my mom and I thought it was worth every penny! I'd definitely recommend - it's a perfect way to take in Chamonix and Mont Blanc in one day and still be back in Geneva at a good time for dinner!

What a lovely trip. Enjoyed the whole day. The Rodeway and train rides were the highlights of the day.

Unforgettable

I had so much fun! Beautiful outlook! Fun ride on a lift up! If you are going in spring definitely bring all your warm clothes and be ready for a possible snow and wind! I was there April 22 and temperature was -15* on the top.

Trip is worth it - just do it !

Amazing views. Cable car was incredible engineering to go so high. The glass cave was a natural wonder. Just a note of caution that you should be able to go up and down lots of stairs and because of the altitude you will get winded. Only suggestion for the tour is to have the guide throughout the day not just at drop offs and pickups.

The Thing to Do!

Only a weekend to explore for fun associated with business travel - this was the thing to do! Beautiful scenery, sufficient free time with just enough guided tour to learn and enjoy!

The chance to touch a glacier - stunning

This was a phenomenal day trip to Chamonix. The start point was within a few hundred metres of our hotel which made for a gentle start. The coach ride was comfortable and uneventful (except for the van on fire by the side of the motorway). Thank you to Hakim for driving us. The trips within the day’s excursion (to the mountain peak and the Mer de Glace) were extremely well communicated and organised. The trip to the summit of Aiguille du Midi Mont Blanc was outstanding. The cable car rides and the views were fabulous. A word of warning though, the effect of oxygen deprivation at the peak can be unsettling. Our guide warned us so we were prepared for the effects. The train ride and walk through the Mer de Glace was an amazing experience. The history of the glacier is explained in simple terms and it is a fantastic trip. A comfortable ride back from Chamonix followed. A fabulous day out and worth the time and money.

just buy tickets to Chamonix by regular buses

The organizer brought us from Geneva to Chamonix knowing the cable cars would be closed. there was no tour, we were left to fend for ourselves. Just buy bus tickets to Chamonix, no value to pay for this organiser.

Beautiful sights, poor organization

It took us a while to find the meeting point ‘bus station’ - Apple Maps led us the wrong way, we had to ask a cab driver for directions, - sending directions and a photo of the place would be helpful. Once we found the meeting point, we were put on the wrong bus after presenting our tickets, there were several buses to Chamonix and the drivers/guides seemed to be confused about who should go where. Upon arriving in Chamonix, our guide didn’t wait for everyone to get off the bus before moving to the 1st location, there were about a dozen of us left behind and having no idea where to go, we were lucky to find him and the rest of the group eventually.

Waste of time

Had a horrible experience. The trip should have been cancelled as we arrived and we’re told it was too windy to do any of the cable car activities . So much time was wasted hanging around waiting on information and we got terrible information about pick up locations etc. the time table was completely wrong and we got no free time in Chamonix and spent most of our time on a bus. Worst £400 ever spent

Beautiful place, The town is cozy and has excellent views to both sides. The train ride up is an amazing experience. Highly recommend

An Amazing Trip

A short walk to the Geneva Bus Station for our 8.30am departure and we were off on our memorable trip across the border into France which took just over the hour. As expected the scenery at points was breathtaking with huge snow topped mountains looming over you. On arrival in Chamonix you are a short walk from the cable car which will take you up Aiguille du Midi and the breathtaking (literally when you get up there, so take it steady) views across the Western Alps including Mont Blanc from 3842metres up. This alone would have been enough but you then get to go on a quaint train upto the Mer De Glace and visit the Ice Cave, there are a lot of steps, remember you need to come back up them so need to be at a decent level of fitness, but it is worth the effort. Then back to Chamonix and some free time before returning back to Geneva. David our tour guide let us do our own thing but was about when he was needed, just how it should be. One of the best trips we have been on, truly fantastic.

A bummer due to weather (no fault of tour)

Booked for transfer to Chamonix & the mountain train. Unfortunately day of, the mountain train, cable car to the top and ice cave all closed due to high winds (100 kph). Our guide - Chris- helped to make the best of things, suggesting the other cable car (to Brevent). (However, once we reached the midway point, the 2nd car to the very top was closed.) This is all no fault of the tour operator. Was offered a refund for the mountain train portion, but those who booked both the train and cable car to Aiguille du Midi (but used for cable car to Brevent) were unlikely to obtain any refund. After cable car, wandered around town to enjoy leisurely lunch and some shopping. Again, tour operator tried their best, but can’t control the weather.

Amazing experience! Very good guide, unlucky couldn’t get to go up Mon blanc with the weather or go on the train apart from that enjoyed my time there and enjoyed the bus journey with the amazing views.

Great experience and highly recommended

Really good experience and the transfers ran on time. Chamonix was a lovely place to visit from our base in Geneva, and if you are not skiing, a trip up Aiguille Du Midi is well worth the time.

Great experience!

The views were amazing, well worth going to see! We went for my partners birthday and had a fantastic time. Staff were really friendly, unfortunately, the glass box was closed due to the weather but there were still loads of places to take photos. Would definitely recommend!

A life EXPERIENCE

Chris our tour guide was AMAAAAAAAAAZINGGGG!! So friendly, so kind and thoughtful but our day fun and EPICE!!

Expensive

Expensive and wasn’t worth the money worth. They knew about certain developments and never mentioned it online. Wasn’t able to experience the ice room or have a proper guided tour with the amount of money spent

Amazing day in Chamonix

Trip of a lifetime! This was an amazing experience and made so easy by our guide, Chris, and key tours. The pick up location was easy to find and the coach was very nice with reclining seats and USB charging ports. Everything was explained clearly to us and given a map and itinerary and contact number if we got lost. The cable cart was really good to the top and the views were breathtaking. We didn’t have to queue long to get into the glass box (20 mins) and then had plenty of time to take more photos outside, have lunch and a beer and take in the atmosphere. We then took the mountain train and our guide took us straight there and told us which side was best to sit for the best views. It was a shame the ice cave is closed this time of year but, other than that, the trip was faultless. Chamonix was gorgeous and we even had time to go on the alpine coaster/ luge and the Chamonix amusement park. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and was worth every penny. Our guide even got us a free ride back to the airport (our hotel was near here) once we had arrived back at the drop of point. All round great service and would highly recommend.

Amazing day trip from Geneva!

Incredible tour! Gondola ride to the top was awesome! Lots of spare time to eat lunch and shop. Train ride also very special.
