Best city tour bus of our European vacation. Frequent buses, not too crowded and included major attraction tickets. Nice way to see the city in 2-days.

Great learning experience!

Having a live tour guide giving commentary was great! The guides were knowledgeable and so friendly. Our guides all had a great sense of humor too.

The buses were clean. We even had a live commentary on one bus. Silence was enforced . Brilliant experience.

Frequent buses and good commentary. Easy to find the bus office near Waverley who booked us tickets to the Castle at a time of our choice. Friendly informative service too.

Hop on hop off bus is great way to see sites

Bus stop was right across street from our hotel. Easy to buy ticket right on street. Bus stops are near all major historic sites. Great tour guide who gave all the interesting funny and bizarre facts

Great Option

We were a group of 2 couples with the Royal ticket. Great convience for getting around town, as long as you have the time. The skills of these drivers are very impressive. We only used Blue Line and Red Line. Red light automative recording doesn’t uncle the stop number so you have to be very aware of where you are and where you’re trying to be.

Excellent tour package and worth the cost!!!!

Tour bus Hop On/Off was a great way to see Edinburgh and it included great narrative. The live tour guide on the Green line on May 24th was the best I've ever ridden with. Steve had great knowledge and a great sense of humor. Tour of Castle was included and extremely interesting. Tour of Royal yacht Britanica was an interesting view of the royals from the 1950's. Worthwhile trip down memory lane. The overal package was a bargin cost wise and very worthwhile.

Great way to see Edinburgh

Great way to see several parts of the city and to get a broader view of Edinburgh. Dropped us off right at the Brittania, but we got to see the new town and several other part of the city. Good value.

Great ride

Always love the hop on hop off busses. This was no different. We were not able to take full advantage of our vouchers due to our unexpected Scotland weather, shower had a great time. Saw so many sights and so much education.

Good Service

Very good service and stops close to many of the attractions. Our tickets included access to the Royal Ship Brittannia and Edinburgh Castle (access only, not tour). Ideal way to get around the City and very convenient.

Just do it

Perfect way to get around. Very punctual and friendly drivers. Very knowledgeable guides. Spend the money and you won’t be sorry.

The Tegal Tour

Great way to see Edinburgh!! Everyone is so friendly. Having tickets to the castle, Royal Yacht Britannia and Hollywood Palace was very convenient.

2 days' travel & 3 attractions for bargain price!

We bought 48 hour tickets, which for £65 - yes we're oldies :-) , included entrance to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace and Royal Yacht Britannia. What a bargain with 2 days' travel as well! Finding to the designated stop on the first day was easy. The guide explained everything to us and gave us entrance tickets to the 3 attractions.

Excellent way to see the City

Hop On Hop Off is always the best way to see the City. The staff and drivers in Edinburgh were some of the best!! They were so kind and helpful. We bought a 48 hour ticket with entrance tickets to Castle, Holyroodhouse, Brittania yacht and then the next 2 days we bought 24 hour tickets to see more of the City. Well worth the money!

Unforgettable birthday trip

Had just 3 nights to spear in this beautiful town so we try to make the most of it. The tour buses are amazing. You can reach all the historical locations with them and also learn about the history of this amazing place. The green buses have life guids who are so so friendly and entertaining. The red and the blue buses are operated guides in multiple languages with headphones wich you can pick up from the bus. The staff are very professional helpful and going above and beyond for you. All trips are well organised and easy to found. The trip to the castle was the biggest and longest from all. Holyrood Palace it is just amazing and the last but not list is the Britannia Yacht visit was a real pearl of history to visit. This 48 hours tickets are the best if you want to see this gorgeous town and learn about his history in budget. Thank you for all of the staff to made our trip stress free and relaxing. High recommended.

Great value

Visited Edinburgh last week, got this tour tickets in advance for a bargain price online. I don’t consider myself a huge royal family fun, so Britannia yacht wasn’t that impressive for me, the castle and the palace on the other hand are definitely worth the time and money. We also enjoyed the buses, used all 3 of them. If you speak English - the green one is the best, the live guides are amazing. Self audio multiple languages guides are also great.

Outstanding bus service with nearby stops to Edinburgh Castle, the Holyrood Palace, and the Brittania. Choices of headphones with commentary or watch with closed caption. Very enjoyable!

Worth the money

Three busses with different routes but so worth the money! We managed to see all the attractions (Edinburgh Castle, Royal Yacht Britannia & Palace of Holyrood). Green bus tour guide was fantastic! would recommend the Royal Edinburgh Ticket - well worth the money. The ticket is valid for 48 hours - so you can activate at 1 pm on the first day and it's valid until 1pm on the third day, so that was really good.

Easy Access, Fun Stories

This ticket allowed 48 hour access for 3 different tours, entry into the Edinburgh castle, Holyrood Palace and Britannia. This was the best value. The drivers and tour guides were very nice and entertaining! Would recommend this all access ticket!

A great way to get around

If you're clueless about what to see and where to go - this is a very handy option. I didn't want to walk 50 miles a day to see everything I wanted to see - this provided the perfect solution. Enough stops, close enough to major attractions that you just hop on and then get off when you've reached something you wanted to see, then get back on again and head off the the next attraction. I booked the 48 hour pass that came with entrance to Holyrood and Edinburgh Castle and the Britiannia. Definitely worth the money.

Really convenient, great value and allowed us to plan our trip in advance. I would recommend. It allowed us to move around the city and visit three landmark locations with great ease. All Customer Service Assistants I spoke with were polite, knowledgeable and helpful.

The castle was Very interesting, took Nout 2hrs to go around, if you stay for 1pm they have a gun salute with cannon

Great New Year in Edinburgh

We enjoyed the Royal Hop-on Hop-off excursion during the very busy New Years Eve /Hogmanay weekend. Everyone we spoke to was kind, courteous, and helpful! The advanced tickets were a trip saver for such a busy weekend!

Great ride/great guide

We had a wonderfully engaging young man for both days of our tour. He gave us a lot of interesting information in a fun way. We enjoyed it very much.

Great hop on and off tour.

This is a great hop on hop off tour. You get tickets to the royal yacht Britannia, Holyrood House, Edinburgh Castle. Make sure you visit the tea room onboard the Britannia and have tea and a scone.

Good experience

Bought the hop on / hop off for the additional tickets to the castle and palace included. It did help to have the bus option as it was drizzling and rainy throughout the day.

The bus guide was good to explain. The palace was more enjoyable than the castle, for me. The bus covered the whole city and was east to access.

Wonderful days in Edinburgh

The Hop-on Hop -off tours are always a great way to see more of the city than you probably would on foot and with extra information. The extra admissions to the Britannia, Edinburgh Castle, and the Palace were so wonderful. We had the best lunch on the Britannia. Loved all of the experiences.

Clean frequent service

Bus was clean and on time the several times we got off and on. Trading the voucher for tickets was easy. I did notice ticket seller located at St Andrew Square, but I don’t know if he would transfer the voucher to tickets as he did. The skip the line at the castle was nice but not necessary as there a small line when we were there. It was great at the Holyrood Palace. I found the recorded tours to be a bit of a hit or miss on seeing what was being talked about.

Great Way to See Edinburgh

Great way to get around Edinburgh and see the major sites. Staff were friendly and helpful and the drivers were amazing in getting those big vehicles around the tight streets.

Excellent tour

Had a great time touring around Edinburgh with the hop on and off buses. We had the ticket that covered the 3 different tours. Really great tour guides and bus drivers on each trip, special shout out to Jonny and Faye on the Edinburgh tour bus who were excellent, both went out of their way to make the tour special. Really recommend this tour to get around the city and learn more about Edinburgh's rich history!

Bought the Hoho package

We bought the package that included 2 days rides on the three different lines, the Edinburgh castle, Hollyrood palace and the Royal Yacht Britannia. It was an easy transaction and everything worked perfectly. We always enjoy the Hoho in various cities.

Good to get a guarantee entry into the castle.

We had to walk quite a distance to get to the point where we could pick up our tickets. The operator was very good and gave us our time allotted for the entry into Edinburgh castle which worked out very well. However, no one mentioned the fact that there was a parade down the Royal Mile and the bus would not be operating. So we had to scramble to get a cab which wasn't easy. Bus was easier than finding a cab unlike other cities.

Retirement Trip

This is a great way to see Edinburg when you come for a first time. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Having this ticket gives you access to all three bus lines with 3 access tickets with 2 full days access to the buses. This made our trip very easy as we did not have to waste times getting tickets for each of the areas especially the Castle. We would definitely recomment this ticket.

Edinburgh overview in a day

Edinburgh Castle was amazing to tour and using the HOHO bus aloud us to find a cute local pub. Great way to see a beautiful city.

The tour buses with live narratives. The city was easy to navigate, tour people so great! Scott was amazing. A wonderful experience!!!!!

Could have been better

Would try another company next time. Recording often didn’t jibe with sights along the way so a bit frustrating. The human guide was OK but my preference would be that personal family stories not be used in narration.

Edinburgh is Amazing!

The people are friendly and knowledgeable! What a wonderful way to spend a day! The hop on hop off bus was a perfect way to get the “lay of the land” then we walked around.

I have really enjoyed being able to travel on three different lines to see more of Edinburgh. The ticketing system for the three included visits was great; no issues at all and no standing in line. It’s a great way to get around and see the important sites as well as explore restaurant options in the various areas.

The bus took us to the attractions we wanted to see. On one trip we had a nice lady who gave ongoing commentary.
