Alister was very nice, well explain his country and the history, we have enough time to visit all the attractions, and the sun was with us 😉

Day Trip to Sterling Castle

Our on the Tour was Heidi and did a great Job. She is a very friendly and helpfully Person. She told us about scottish History while we on the road and Shows Spots were we good Eat and Drink on Our Tour.

Wonderful day exploring Scotland

Had a wonderful day travelling to Loch Lomond and Stirling. Heidi was very knowledgeable and made the day entertaining and enjoyable. The smaller couch made it more personal and interactive than larger tours.

Great coach, driver best!

Laurie was a great driver. Very sympathetic. Telling interesting and funny stories. Also helpful with kids. Coach also nice, clean, comfortable.

Wonderful trip with Alistair and Torvan

We saw a most beautiful part of the country and learned a lot about its history thanks to Alistair and Torvan. Stirling Castle is stunning, much more interesting than Edinburgh castle. They had exhibitions and actors in 16th century costumes. A very enjoyable tour, highly recommended.the autoguide in other languages, however, needs updating

Great tour!

Ryan was a great tour guide! His stories really helped paint he picture of the country. My only complaint is that it felt that there was too much time dedicated to sterling castle and not enough to Loch Lomond.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Our guide Noah was excellent both in terms of guidance and knowledge. The time was plentiful for each stop which was great. Our favourite one was the Stirling Castle but the combination of nature and historical sites as well as the more modern Kelpies was exquisite. Lovely tour and lovely guides!

Each of the spots we went to had wonderful views. The guides (Chris, Laura, and Paul) were all really friendly and informative, and gave some great recommendations for the rest of our holiday.

A trip much better than I expected

Stirling Castle was magnificent, The Kelties were beautiful, and Loch Lomond so serene. Our tour guide Laurie was upbeat and knowledgeable.

Great trip with interesting stops along your way

Laurie was very informative and had interesting stories along the way. Each stop was appropriately timed so that you had enough time to see the site but did not feel bored waiting to move on.

The Kelpies and Sterling Castle were the highlights for me, as well as the driver’s delightful commentary.

Great hotspot tour

Lovely tour with nice hotspots! Tiegan was a great guide! Only Doune Castle was a bit underwhelming, but the great highlands views made up for it.

Diverse tour from edinburgh

Steven and Brian were a great compo! Steven had a great sense of humor and it was nice to listen to all the scottish stories on the bus. The trip was not also too long and the sights amazing! The only complaint would be that it was not really pleasant to wait in the rain for 40 minutes in the morning before getting to the bus.

Fun day out

Great day out, visiting the Scottish countryside, Loch Lomond annd Sterling Castle. Also enjoyed listening to Steve and Ryan giving us a good Scottish history lesson.

Great tour, Laurie was our very knowledgeable guide and driver, great job!. Kelpies are stunning, as is Stirling castle, especially interesting to see the recreated tapestries and the exhibition on their weaving

Highlands experience

Ryan and Laurie were great, really personable and knowledgeable. They had lots of stories and history. They also managed to get us a few minutes to see the Forth of Firth bridges on the way back.

Brilliant day out from Edinburgh

Ryan and Laurie provided a great and informative experience. The extra stop to see the three bridges over the Forth of Fife was an unexpected bonus. Plus: Ryan’s playlist is great … it reminded me what a great band Del Amitri is. Well done.

Amazing day in Loch Lomond and Stirling

The views were amazing. Loch Lomond is a very beautiful place and undoubtedly a must see place. We absolutely recommend this tour. Laurie and Ryan were our guides and were very nice and kind with us. Also they told us a lot of Scottish stories and legends.

Countryside drive and walked around inside a castle.

Wonderful ride through the country. We stopped at a nice little village with a deli that sold local food. Our driver Philip was very informative on the history of Scotland. Stirling Castle being restored and some beautiful work already done.

A breath of fresh air

Lovely day trip by car heading for Luss and Tarbet. The views of the hills, the colours and the water is spectacular. We had hoped to stop at the large car park to have our packed lunch and a boat trip. Unfortunately the car park was under construction, something I was not aware of, so be warned if you’re heading up there in the next few weeks. I can only assume they are making this popular hot spot bigger to accommodate the huge numbers of people who enjoy the vista from this spot. As we couldn’t park up, we headed onwards to Arrochar and then on to Inverary. A lovely round trip with our flasks of tea and coffee and home made sandwiches. Everything tastes better when out in the countryside! The weather was the usual for March and did not deter from our trip. This part of the world is just glorious and worth a visit.

Highly recommended

this was my first time visiting loch Lomond etc and I couldn't recommend this enough. It is a great highland tour if you want something a little shorter than the rest of the day tours and to see the amazing scenery and find out some great history . Also huge shout out to the Driver/guide Ally.G (if I'm not mistaken) and her co driver/trainee Brain. Ally had some great fun facts along the way and a true Scottish playlist, she was also very helpful with any questions and happy to take you on a little explore at each stop.

Phenomenal guides!

I did two tours with this company and thoroughly enjoyed both because of the awesome guides. The first tour was Inverness: Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle Day trip with Harrison, Torquil, and Amber (the stops on this tour were beautiful, and if you aren't from Scotland I would recommend this over renting a car to visit the Isle). The second was Loch Lomond with Louise, Charlie, Martin and Noah. Amazing teams who did a phenomenal job both in explaining the area and also making sure everyone was having a blast. Couldn't recommend enough! Many thanks again to the Highland Explorer team.

Great tour!

Tour was just what I expected. It was well arranged and the guides were great. It was nice to have shorter stops during the bus drie for a little walks and toilet breaks. I highly recommend even though we didn't see Nessie.

Great day trip to Stirling Castle.

Outstanding tour! Really enjoyed Paul's friendly banter. We really enjoyed all the stories of Scottish history and how he pointed out different views of monuments such as The Kelpies. Paul let us on a walk up a hill for a good view of the lake as well.

Great tour guide

Paul was an absolutely amazing tour guide. Great attitude and always had interesting historical facts. The activities were great and the food in the surrounding restaurants is better than in edinburgh itself.

Great one-day tour from Edinburgh

A fantastic one-day adventure was had with Dusty. What a brilliant driver and guide for the tour. He was extremely knowledgable with a great sense of humour, making the journeys between each destination fun and interesting. The weather was good for February so we got great views at Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle. The Kelpies are also worth a visit. A very well organised tour that represents great value for money. If you get Dusty as your driver and guide, you are on to a winner! Thoroughly recommended and brilliant way to learn about the history of beautiful Scotland!
