Great excursion

From the time we were collected at our hotel by Abdul we knew we were in for a great experience. He is very knowledgeable about Dubai and answered all of our questions. He explained the tour we were about to experience in detail. Was a great insight into desert life once we were on the land rovers with Nizar as our driver and then in the Bedouin village. A great meal was served with entertainment. Abdul has great knowledge of astronomy and gave a good presentation. Highly recommend this excursion to anyone

Great tour

I discovered this tour on the @Morando_em_Dubai Instagram page. They recommended it to us and it was truly an incredible experience. I'm going to all the tours they recommend and I'm loving it. They are a reference for Brazilians visiting Dubai.

Tour with the very best!

Had a wonderful time at this authentic safari near Dubai. We were picked up by Khairi who was an excellent driver and tour guide. The car was very new and clean. Upon arriving at the camp we received water and a traditional scarf to wear. The dates, tea and coffee were a welcome treat. Then off into the desert in an open air Land Rover to see wild life and learn about the terrain. Khairi was careful to arrange events like sand boarding before returning to camp for dinner and a falcon show. Can't say enough about this tour. The camels were an experience for my group...not me LOL.

1st year wedding anniversary

Everything exceeded our expectations. Duncan was amazing, since we got in the car he started answering all my questions, his level of service and knowledge exceeded our expectations as well. I commend him for a job well done. Thank you.

Good value, great experience

We were 2 middle aged females travelling alone and really enjoyed it. Picked up at 4pm from our hotel by Nizar who looked after us from start to finish. The meal was really good...including the vegetarian main. The team at the camp worked hard to look after us, nothing was a bother and they seemed happy to cater for us. Even the camels were well behaved! I think to enhance the experience it would have been nice to spend a minute or so on the top of the dunes where we stopped for a photo shoot to just put the cameras/phones down and just be silent so that we could appreciate our surroundings and take the opportunity to ground. Would definitely do it again.

Must do in Dubai, highly recommend.

Great experience, Duncan was our tour guide and did a phenomenal job. Water was provided throughout the whole trip and food was amazing as well.

Fantastic and amazing experience, great food and hospitality! We chose the land rover over the camel on our conservation tour since it was summer. Duncan was our designated guide, he was very informative and helpful and so was Lionel(hope I have spelled his name correctly). Food was a lot and very tasty! There was stargazing at the end, super cool! Henna design was pretty.. falcon show was cool too and have pictures taken with Ragna (not sure if spelling is correct)

The best Desert Safari Experience

I have experienced lots of Desert Safari excursions but nothing bet with the Platinum Heritage experience. Starting from the pick-up to the end was fantastic. Our tour guide Tim picked us up on time and assisted us along the journey. The experience is different from other safari as it shows you the cultural and traditional way of the UAE. We enjoy the Safari trip in a landrover with very nice weather. A short stop to enjoy the desert scenery and a photo stop. Along the way, Tim and Shrusti explained and showed us the places with lots of gazelle and Arabian oryx and experienced the falcon show. The highlight of the trip was during the dinner at the camp. A warm welcome was given with rose water and Arabic coffee. We also enjoy the camel ride and henna tattoo. Dinner was also interesting, aside from the traditional and delicious food, the team had a good way to explain each dish and entertaining while waiting for the food. We also enjoy dancing along the traditional Al-Ayyala dance. The highlight of the show was the star gazing which was the best ending of the trip. We had the chance to enjoy the night without lights and only gazing at the sky. The guide explained the constellations and it also helped us relax throughout. My friend was also celebrating his birthday that day and they had arranged a small cake even on short notice. A most special thanks to Shrusti for accommodating us, and also to Tim who was with us throughout the journey. "_"

Worth every cent!

This desert safari is a must-do! Booking was really easy and smooth. Our guide, Oscar, was a expert in desert flora and fauna, a very good driver and a most entertaining host. The drive in the vintage Land Rover through the desert was fantastic. Dinner with food cooked onsite and entertainment in the form of song and dance, henna tattoo, camel ride and star gazing was wonderful. And of course the falconry show was expertly executed. We will highly recommend this tour!

Highlight of our stay in Dubai. Our guide was fabulous, providing insightful information and making the trip enjoyable from start to finish. Riding through the dunes in vintage Land Rovers was outstanding. The highlight was learning about Bedouin culture, which was both educational and fascinating. The tour concluded with a feast of amazing, plentiful food that left us thoroughly satisfied. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the desert and immerse themselves in local traditions.

This was an outstanding experience! We saw a display of falconry along with a short lecture of the habits and importance of the bird.

This is a fantastic excursion

Super fun late afternoon & evening in the desert in Dubai. They pick you up at your hotel in a very nice SUV. Everyone can pick a head scarf that they will tie it so you look pretty authentic lol and you can take it home, I loved it. It was about a 45 min. drive to the desert. The open 50’s style Range Rover is festive & fun. The falcon demonstration is pretty cool. We saw several types of desert animals. The best part is the traditional dinner. It’s a beautiful set up and the grilled chicken, braised lamb & camel stew was delicious! So much food!! There is music,camel rides, hookah, henna tattoos, and lovely star gazing. Our guide, Tim, was amazing. It’s well worth the 6 hours. FYI unfortunately no alcohol is served but it didn’t hinder our experience.

Amazing Day/Evening in the Desert

From being picked up at my Hotel to riding through the private reserve in a 1950 Land Rover the trip was fun and just good for my soul. I had two fantastic guides one from Pakistan and the other from Kenya that shared taking care of me and making sure I had an amazing time. The desert was beautiful so close to the city but a world away. I had my hair wrapped in a beautiful pink Shelia and was given a great water bottle on arrival. We walked barefoot through the dunes and I spent the rest of the evening barefooted. The peregrine falcon demonstration as we sat in the sand on beautiful pillows with our drinks during the sunset was fantastic. Then we drove camp for our evening activities and meal. Again a beautiful camp setup with activities, comfort, and beauty. More local drinks and the very best lentil soup that I’ve ever had with a bread made in the camp over a fire that is very thin and crisp and really good. Then the starters came. Yummy middle eastern treats that were so good and fresh and filled me up completely before the main dishes were served. The couple at my table really enjoyed these dishes especially the lamb, chicken and the rice with nuts. Desserts came next but I didn’t even look at them. I got a henna tattoo, and enjoyed the star gazing with all the lights out. I was going to take a elephant ride then but by that time I was full and tired after a very long flight the day before. Then it was a ride back to my hotel with lots of conversation and the end to a perfect day.

Definitely the best safari in Dubai, was really good fun and you are looked after well. Don’t expect to see too many animals !

The highlight of our holiday!

We had an amazing afternoon and evening. We were picked up from our hotel in a luxury truck. En-route to the conservation area our guide Danish gave us a quick detour to the camel racetrack where we saw many camels being exercised. On arrival at the conservation area we were all given a headscarf and water bottle. We went out in a 1950’s Land Rover and Danesh was an absolutely wicked driver, we had to hold on tight as he gave us all the ride of our lives! Thanks Danish!! 😄 We had the opportunity to walk in the desert and see the beautiful landscape and wildlife. In the evening we went to a Beduin camp and had great food and entertainment. The stargazing was amazing. Danesh looked after us the whole time and nothing was too much trouble for him. It really was the highlight of our holiday - thank you Danesh!

The best desert safari

The desert safari was excellent. No dune bashing, comfortable for everyone and lots of interesting facts and information from our excellent guide (Khairi). Our daughter's dietary needs were also catered for, which we appreciated. They also made a video of our safari, using drones, which was amazing. A wonderful experience that we highly recommend.

Desert safari in a vintage 4WD

Communication with the Heritage Safaris was very good - very helpful via email. The guide was punctual, friendly and informative. Food and activities were great. Very organised.

AMAZING Experience!

We had a great time, Runel was the best guide and very informative about Dubai history and culture. Runel looked after us throughout and we were really entertained, it was great! Cannot reckoned this tour highly enough!

Amazing experience

Everything was great!! The tour guide, the location of the camp, the cars, we saw soo many oryx and some gazelles, it worths the money you pay for!Just go!

10/10 - Our guide Ravi was the best!

We set off from our hotel in the afternoon, and from the first moment we met Ravi he couldn’t have been nicer. He was with us from start to finish, and was on hand to answer all our questions (and, we had many). Ravi made the entire experience so interactive from start to finish. His knowledge of the area is second-to-none, and he added so much to our experience. He drove us back to our hotel, and provided music for our group of eight on the journey home. It felt like a party bus, and Ravi got involved with the singing and dancing, too. A true gentleman, and we would recommend this tour to anybody who comes to Dubai. The food was amazing, the entertainment even better & every tour guide provided us with an interactive experience. If we could rate the experience higher than 10 out of 10, we would. Yassssss

It is a must be, when you plan your trip to Dubai. Amazing views, show, dinner and people. Lionel was a great guide and overall the whole organisation is on a 5 star rating. Everything is well planned. After my 4th trip to Dubai, and many experiences, this is my No. 1 advice to friends and family who plan to go.

Desert Landrover Trip

A wonderful desert trip. The guide was very informative. The peace of the desert, sunset and meal didn’t feel touristy. Free Head dresses were just the thing for the sun. Meal was excellent! Highly recommend!

Exactly what we were looking for - Brilliant excursion! We were picked up from our hotel in a lovely comfortable car and taken out to the desert/conservation area. Our guide Dilnur was fantastic, very friendly and very knowledgeable and we came away feeling like we had learnt a lot as well as having a great experience, We wanted to explore the desert in a relaxing, and fun way and this rocked the boxes for us. The food was really good and the whole day was 10/10!

The whole Safari put together was a wonderful experience. This one is less aggressive and lot smoother than others. Sammy was awesome! Friendly, Polite and could communicate in various languages.

Very well ran and popular tour, would absolutely recommend to anyone coming to Dubai. Seeing the real desert in a 1950s Land Rover and beginning the understand the sheer vastness of it all was pretty awesome. Our guide was able to add a lot of good commentary throughout the journey. I especially enjoyed the 4-course dinner, even though we are quite familiar with middle-eastern cusine, eating it in a Bedouin camp and seeing it cooked in front of us elevated the whole experience. My son loved the Camel ride and his henna scorpion tattoo (that looked more like a shrimp). The falcon show was educational. We were impressed by how quickly the team we were able to patch together a 3 minute video of our 5 hour adventure - and upsell of course - but we thought the product was quite good even if it was 300 AED for the photos and 300 AED for the video. That's obviously quite expensive but that's just Dubai in general I felt.

Day in the Dubai Desert

Noman was a great tour guide and created a friendly and funny atmosphere for 6 people who have just known each other. The ride to the desert was smooth and Noman told us a lot of information during the trip. Then we switched to a vintage car and the ride through the desert sand was simply awesome. We also stopped for 2 sight seeing + falconary show where we were served some beverages. We also enjoyed the 4 courses dinner and the entertainment we had at the camp. Highly recomend this trip.

Excellent tour and tour guide.

This Safari tour was excellent as was our guide Mohammed Afzal. His knowledge of Dubai and the Heritage Safari was extensive. Afzal looked after our tour group for the whole afternoon and evening, answering all of our questions and taking many photographs during our tour. He ensured that our time on this Safari outing was extremely enjoyable. Thanks Afzal.

An exceptional experience with exemplary customer service!

This tour is the real deal. From the moment my friends and I were picked up from our hotel this tour did not disappoint. Everything exceeded our expectations from the incredibly knowledgeable staff, cleanliness of all the facilities, the traditional middle eastern food and the very well maintained Land Rovers. The pace of the tour is very relaxing. We opted to stay overnight in the traditional huts and wake early for the balloon ride which was worth every penny. I opted to sleep outside under the stars because of my husbands snoring and I did not regret it. It was such a unique experience. An experience I will not forget. The balloon pilot was incredible. An Italian balloon enthusiast who did not mind sharing his passion. The flight was flawless. The breakfast after the flight was 5 star. I was surprised to find eggs benedict and the most delicious smoked salmon. We ate a feast once again. Our hearts and bellies were full. On our return back to the hotel I found that I left my noise cancelling headphones in the hut (because my husbands snoring is that bad :-) ) I emailed and called Heritage and within 10 minutes they were located and their return organized. A sign of a world class company. The customer service was second to none. And in today's climate that is vert rare.

Totally Awesome

Absolutely loved this experience. Our tour guide Berke was throughly polite, humorous, informative and educational. Complimentary head scarf and aluminium water bottle provided. The drive in the Heritage Land Rover through the Empty Quarter was amazing. The generous four course dinner was delicious. And the stargazing session was mesmerising. As a solo traveller I felt completely safe. I would highly recommend this very professionally organised tour when visiting Dubai. Thank you Berke and Platinum Heritage.

Fantastic desert safari

Fantastic desert safari experience. We got to see the antelope reserve, falcon training, camel riding at night, stargazing with the naked eye, and delicious local cuisine. The guide had excellent driving skills, extensive knowledge, and was very courteous and attentive. Highly recommended!

A day & evening under the stars to remember

This is the best safari we have been to. The concept was well thought through, the food great but best of all was our guide, Khairi, who made us feel welcome and at ease. He explained the history and traditions very well, made frequent photo stops and made sure we were back on time. I would recommend this trip for couples and families looking for high quality experiences. The stargazing slot was amazing!

A desert excursion full of sensory impressions - tastes, smells and beautiful views!

When we celebrated one of our big birthdays, we wanted to do something completely extra and that was special for this particular part of the world. So what's better to do than a real desert safari with accompanying falconry show, camel ride and 'Bedouin dinner'! This is a desert safari in a more traditional sense where you go in small groups of 4 to 8 people in old classic Range Rover cars with separate guides. We got to see lots of beautiful white Oryx with their long narrow horns. The desert was also unusually green when we visited just after the rainy season in March. During a falconry show, we learned a lot about why this tradition is so strong in the Arab world and how to train these skilled hunting birds. The opportunity was also given to hold a falcon yourself for a photo opportunity. The safari ended at nightfall with a 'Bedouin dinner' in a fenced tent area. We got to taste classic Arabic side dishes and main dishes, as well as try riding a camel (a very bumpy experience, but fun!), get henna tattoos, try water pipe (Hookah) and were treated to some traditional dance entertainment with e.g. drums. We would also have had the opportunity to experience the fantastic starry sky, but the overcast weather (which was nice during the day) made it impossible. All in all, a very pleasant experience, although perhaps also the one that feels like a very 'tourist' experience. At the same time, you contribute with your participation to ensure that they can continue to care for all the animals and keep some of the old traditions alive.

Perfect way ro see desert and get introduced to arabic culture!

Excellent service, very interesting excursion. I highly recommend visiting the desert with Platinum Heritage. Very interesting places and customer service. Excellent program and perfect selection of national food, I really enjoyed it! I had an unforgettable experience and want to return there.

Luxurious 🏜 desert experience in Dubai!

I had a very enjoyable experience with the desert tour, Heritage Safari. All aspects of the tour were of a high standard, including the clean and comfortable vehicle. Our guide, Jay, was highly knowledgeable, intelligent, and well-educated. He was also very polite and helpful, providing us with a wealth of new information about the history of the UAE. We visited various camps in the desert, and the highlight of the tour was the unforgettable falcon show at sunset. We were served delicious cheese dates, cinnamon tea, and mocktails, which were a refreshing treat at that time. Upon arrival at the camp, we were warmly welcomed with traditional Arabic coffee and dates, and we also had the opportunity to have henna tattoo art drawn on our hands. The dinner provided at the camp was exquisite, with a wide variety of delectable dishes to choose from. All the facilities in the camp were meticulously organized to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of all guests. The tour concluded with an unexpected stargazing and astronomy session led by our knowledgeable guide, Jay.
