This was an amazing experience. The only complaint was the driver dropped me at the wrong terminal at Cairo airport which was no a good start to the day. After that everything was excellent. Luxor was amazing but my guide Ayman made the tool the whole experience to another level. Extremely knowledge, flexible and had great suggestions to make the most of the 2 days. The guide really makes the difference and Ayman was top notch. Thank you!

A trip worth it!

The best part of the trip was being humanized by fellow Egyptian brothers and sisters. Eating at the restaurant in the city, yes I deeply appreciated seeing all the priceless artifacts etc., but Sayed and driver showed us kindness, educated us and kept us safe.

Great Experience in Old Cairo Pyramid Tour .

Get your guide is great, staff are fun and knows it alll about history and facts about this tour. They even gave us snacks and water. Ha ha Our guide wasn't great at taking pics, fingers in front of camera, we still give him A++. Driver was great and gentle. Nilo tour was excelent. We thank you all for taking care of us. Just make sure you tell them what you really wAnt, they all can be a lil pushie trying to get the most money out of your pocket in Cairo. City is out of this world. A diferent planet. BEWARE OF BOSSI With Emo tours!!!!!!!!

My sister and I did a ton of research and of course used trip advisor to find a highly rated guide for my once is a lifetime trip to Egypt. We noticed "Bossi" with Emo Tours got AMAZING reviews so we requested her. To be fair, I would agree she did a good job showing us the sites we booked and tailoring the tour to our likes and interests. The problem was that we actually trusted her. We asked her to bring us to a reputable shop to buy some silver jewelry. We told her we needed a good place and we didn't want to get ripped off. She promised she knew of a great place that we could trust that was government owned and had the driver take us to a place that sold jewelry and other stuff on one side and was a papyrus shop next door. When we arrived we were met by a lady from the shop. It was evident this lady and Bossi were great friends because then hugged and we quite talkative and friendly towards each other. We ended up spending close to 1000 USD for jewelry and papyrus for friends and family. The lady at the shop sealed up the jewelry we bought and told us not to open it till we got home so we would have no trouble with customs. She also charged tax saying because we paid it to her we would not need to pay it at customs. We ended up opening our purchases. The "silver" jewelry was turning yellow and they switched the papyrus. We got scammed big time. You dont need to pay tax in Egypt and what we bought looked terrible. We were suckered by Bossi and her friends. So you decide whether you want to book her or not but please dont trust her. She has no problem with scamming people for their money. The tour guides get a commission off of anything you buy so dont believe she was innocent in this. She sat at the shop smoking and laughing and talking with her friends who work there.

Exceptional service

We booked three tours with Emo after a lot of research. We are experienced travelers and used to navigating ourselves around cities, but we’re concerned about the traffic and complexity of Cairo so looked for a guided option. Our reason for choosing them over other similar companies was the reviews and the fact that they collected and dropped us off at our hotel, instead of thymine to find our way to another location meet them. The three tours we did was night one we got them to transport us the the Pyramid sound and light show. The service was good, arriving on time and safe transport. On days two we did the half day Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis tour. This was an exceptional day made all the better by our guide Majid. Majid’s knowledge and passion for Egypt history was wonderful and we learnt so much from him. On day three we did the Coptic, Islamic full day tour. We again had the pleasure of Majid guiding us and this again was an exceptional day. Majid tailored the tour to suit our questions, including ensuring we got the experience drinking Turkish coffee outside a mosque adjacent the bazaar. We had three wonderful tours will Emo and I cannot recommended them or Majid more highly.

The place to see before you die!

The best company to book with

Emo are a 21st century online booking company. Ultra efficient and good prices. They are excellent at communicating and providing all the services you could possibly require. They will arrange to your individual needs and keep you fully updated. Moreover their tours are fully private with just you and a driver and your guide. We did a full day to the pyramids and a half day to the mosques and coptic churches. Our guide on both trips was Ibrahim who was excellent. We were delighted when we learnt that he would again be our guide for the second tour as well. He brought Egyptian history alive through his immense knowledge and insights -coupled with a clear love of the subject matter. He was very flexible and accommodating and it was totally left to us about how long we spent at each site. His english was excellent. If you get a guide then make sure it's Ibrahim and you will be guaranteed a fabulous tour.

Great Egyptian experience with Emo Tours and Maged!

I had booked half day Saqqara and Memphis tour online before arriving in Cairo! Maged was an amazing guide, showed me the sites in great detail and gave me an introduction to the Egyptian history! I ended up booking the next full day for a private tour with Maged and Emo Tours and I am so glad I did it! Not to forget our driver Mustafa! The tour was very well paced, I got ample time at every site. Maged customised everything according to my preference and even gave suggestions based on my interests. Answered all my questions patiently! This is something any good Tour operator or a tour guide would do! But Maged and Emo Tours made my time memorable by being so personable, yet professional throughout! I felt taken care of and safe all the time! He helped me had two amazing lunches both the days! Awesome tour

Mamdouh was our guide and Salah our driver. This incredible team were amazing at getting us around Cairo, seeing the sights and getting us to the front of the lines, and covering a lot of territory quickly. We really appreciated his expertise at every turn to navigate the area. He made it seem easy! Momdouh was also extremely knowledgeable with ancient Egyptian history. He also gave us many special snacks and treats, like stopping for dates out in the country and for bananas in the city. He got us a great deal on a camel ride and took lots of family photos with us. Salah was a great driver which in Egypt means a lot! They were on time for both days and always prepared. Our time was well spent, and we made friends too. Would highly recommend them.

My Cairo experience.

I had an amazing time during my private tour with tour guide Sayed Mahmoud.He had vast knowledge about all the historical sites we visited and took his time to ensure that we understood the history of the sites properly. We were so fortunate to gave Sayed Mahmoud as our guide during our stay in Cairo. He was very knowledgeable and absolutely friendly which made us feel right at home. We managed to cover so many sites in just a matter of a day and he was very attentive to our needs. Such as water and dinner. He was very active in taking pictures of us and for us. Mohammad moussa was my tour guide for two days from the pyramids to a day in Alexandria . He was very informative about the artifacts in the museum to the different arqueológico sites in cairo and Alexandria and made sure I was always well taken care of ;) definitely would recommend ;)

Unforgettable 2 Days in Giza/Cairo

We had an amazing and unforgettable experience with our tour guide Ahmed Tonsi! Over the course of 2 days, Tonsi took my girlfriend and I to the Great Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, Saqqara, Egyptian Antiquities Musuem in Cairo, Mosque of Muhammad Ali, the Coptic Church and a number of local shops! Each experience was absolutely amazing and eye opening, all due to the knowledge and passion Tonsi brought and imparted on us during each tour! Amazing 2 days in Cairo with Ahmed

We had the joy to have Ahmed Mahmoud and his fantastic driver as our guides for a couple of days in Cairo. First day we did pyramids and archeological sites at Giza, Dahshur , Memphis and Sakkara, we visited so many places that we would never could have done on our own. He is knowledgable and was ready to answer all our questions and made sure we had the best pics possible, we even got to see a papyrus and carpet factories where products are made the way ancient Egyptians used to, he made us aware we will be offered things to buy but that we didn’t have to if we didn’t want to. Second day he took us to the Citadel, Egyptian Museum and Khan al-Khalili with same enthusiasm and kindness.... thanks so much

Incredible 2 days with Essam

My mother and I had an incredible experience with our wonderful guide, Essam, and we strongly recommend this tour. The 2 day-private-tour in Cairo was filled with a lot of exciting activities and stories, which exceeded our expectation. We were so fortunate to have Essam as our guide, and our experience in Egypt wouldn’t have been the same without him. Essam was very knowledgeable of the Egyptian history and culture and was a great storyteller. He made our tour very interesting with both suspenses and surprises. He was also very thoughtful, kind, and considerate, and he made sure we were safe and comfortable throughout the days. Learning about the historical background from Essam enhanced our appreciation for what we were seeing. If we had visited the same archaeological sites without a quality guide like him, we would have missed many of the details and meanings behind each object. My mom and I also enjoyed learning some Egyptian expressions from him, and through close interactions with Essam, we learned some of the important culture and the way of life there. Since it was my mom’s lifelong dream to visit Egypt, I was so glad to see my mother enjoying the tour. It turned out to be an unforgettable trip of our lives!

An excellent way to see the best of Cairo

If you get our tour guide Hossam Mousa with EMO tours, you're in for a treat, he's well known with the other tour guides and site officials. Pick up and drop off were prompt and his driver found our apartment with no problem. Day one: a delve into ancient history with the Giza Plateau, Memphis and Dahshur. Take Hossam's advice on which pyramids to go inside and what to look for, he knows his stuff. He'll also find you a good place to eat, although snacks and water are provided, it is a long day with quite a bit of walking, so you'll need to stop for a meal. He is also good at taking photos at the best locations. Day two: a bit less travelling as you stick mainly in the Cairo area for the Citadel Mosques, Egyptian Museum and Bazaar. Again Hossam will guide you through the day, pick out the best bits in the museum (his knowledge is impressive), tailor the day to suit your needs and advise on where to eat and what (not) to buy. General: the minibus was air conditioned and well driven which is quite an achievement in Cairo and Memphis traffic. Contact the tour operator if you have any questions beforehand, they respond quite well to concerns. Remember that the entrance fee to most of the sites is not included so you will need some local cash, the fees were very reasonable though. A recommended tour. Enjoy!

Day 2 with Emo Tours

The Day 1 tour was rated by Vlad B, so I come with the Day 2 review. So day 2 of our 2 day package was as well as the first one! In this day we got to see the Citadel , the Bazzar and The Egyptian museum! Our tour guide Ahmed Hamed was at his best like in the first day! He had shared with us many informations about the Citadel and The Egyptian museum. At the Bazzar he had negotiated with the sellers for a good price for the things we wanted to buy. I think that this 2 day package is one of the best deals you can make in Egipt.You will pay the entry fee to the monuments but if u are with the right guide u will have a great time, he will tell you which are the best local restaurants where u can eat very good food with little money and he will save u money on the Bazzar.

Great experience

We travelled to Egypt in July this year and booked a total 10 days private tour with EMO tours. The tour guides were very friendly. Our guide in Cairo was Essam who was extremely friendly and had a pretty good knowledge about the place. Our next guide in Aswan and surrounding area was Ahmad and he was also very nice. Overall our experience with EMO tours was great. We just didn’t like their Nile cruise part. We felt the cruise ship even though they are rated 5 stars are not worth at all. We were not happy with their service and it was kinda disappointing.

A great experience in Cairo!

Day-1 Our tour guide, Ahmed Hamed and the driver Cortega from EmoTours Egypt picked us from the hotel in Cairo and they took us according to the schedule to pyramids, sakkara, dashur and memphis. We had a stop at the papyrus factory but he told us that if we dont want is not necessary to buy(we liked something and we have bought). Ahmed Hamed took us to exchange money and to eat some traditional egiptian food (the lunch wasn't included in the program but he took us to a restaurant with good food and good prices, he also helped us with some good advices)was very professional, super friendly and client oriented.On every stop he helped us to take pictures and he told us all about the monument,the story and many more details! The driver was a cool guy ,joking and also helped us to buy local food! The monuments that we visited in the first day is a must for everyone (of course with the right guide)! Tomorrow we will go to visit The Citadel, The egiptian museum and The bazzar ! I will get back with an edit to complete the review !

Amazing guide and tours

We had an amazing 2 full days with a private guided tour from Ali Nagoya. Thank you very much Ali for being so welcoming and helpful with our family. We did a full day at the pyramids, Sphinx, and the Egyptian museum. Ali was very patient and kind with us. The second day we enjoyed really seeing the city and learning from Ali about the Mosques and Islam as well as exploring the markets. Great guide. The best guide I ever had. I booked the 2 days Tour. The first day was Giza, Sakkara and Memphis . Ansary, our guide gave us very useful information to start our wonderful tour. I was really impressed by his knowledge, passion and professionalism to explain and tell the history of all these magical places and egyptian culture. (I learned a lot). 2 day Cairo with Mohamed

We did the 2 day private guided tour with Mohamed in Cairo. Our experience was a mixed one. On the first day we toured the Giza, Dahshur and Sakkara pyramids, and Memphis. Mohamed explained the sites relatively well and the our driver Asrafa was the best (an additional star rating is exclusively for him). On the second day, we had told Mohamed that our domestic flight to Luxor was at 4:40 pm, but he insisted we be leave for the airport at noon. There by we only saw the Egyptian museum for about an hour, though we would've liked longer. He was also kind of aggressive on the second day, so I did not push him for longer time. We did not see the Khan Khalili bazaar at all. Also, since it was Ramadan, Mohamed was understandably tired and hence was looking to cut short our tour on day 2. Another thing I noticed in entire Egypt including this tour, is people actually expect and at times demand a "tip". The guides actually demand an exact amount at times, which is weird as the concept of tip is, you give it if you like the service and if the person goes above and beyond their job duties and provides service to you. This concept seems to be lost in Egypt and it's people, or may be it's because the tourism industry is down because of the bomb attacks and internal strife, and hence they're trying to extort money from the limited tourists that are daring to come to Egypt. That is a little sad for both parties involved.

Amazing Tour Guide

This was honestly one of the best tours I have ever taken. My guide for the two days was Mohamed Moussa. He was very knowledgable, and really took pride in his job. I learned so much about Egypt, and came home with so many facts I never knew before. On top of the planned itinerary, there were a few extras I wanted to do, such as camel rides, ATV rides, and Felucca rides. He went above and beyond to make ALL of these happen for me, at the very best prices. If there is anything you want to do, just ask and he plan it for you. I also felt extra safe in Cairo by having this tour guide with me. I couldn't have asked for a better two days....do not hesitate to book this tour, and ask for Mohamed! He is the best!

Awesome tour and guide!

We had an amazing time with our guide Ayman Saeed. He was fun, super knowledgeable and gave us expert advice that made our time all that more enjoyable. We had other friends in Cairo at the same time that visited the sites independently and their experience wasn't nearly as good as ours. So my advice is if you come all the way to Cairo, book this tour and ask for Ayman!

Best way to explore Cairo's famous attractions esp with Mahmoud and Ahmed!

This tour is definitely the best way to explore what Cairo has to offer. It checks ALL the boxes inclusive of all the "must sees". Emo tours did an incredible job planning and organising this tour and provided us with tour guides that spoke perfect english. Day 1 was a full day tour of all the pyramids, Giza, Dahshur, Saqqara and Memphis. Mahmoud El Wakeel was a great tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the historic details, he's clearly passionate and experienced. He pointed minor details and interpretations that we would have missed. Mahmoud was also very patient and hospitable - he took our photos all day! Day 2 was a visit to the citadel and covered all the grounds inside (incl the 2 famous mosques!). After the citadel we had a full tour of the famous Egyptian museum and ended our day in the bazaar. Ahmed Yassin was our tour guide. He was friendly upon arrival and was extremely well versed in all the minucia details of everything we saw which made the experience far more interesting than if we did it on our own; again another passionate tour guide. One note - the tour does not cover any entrance fees, all in all it came to roughly £45pp which was TOTALLY worth it, so make sure you bring some Egyptian pounds! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour, Emo tours and our 2 tour guides Mahmoud and Ahmed, we could not have covered Cairo any other way!

Amazing time, especially with Marwan!

My friends and I were visiting Cairo for a limited period of time and knew that both the pyramids and Alexandria were high up on the list. We therefore hired Emo Tours and Marwan (our tour guide) to take us around while there. Marwan was incredibly informative, professional, and experienced. He spoke great English and took good care of us! I even left my hat on the bus, and he tracked it down and returned it to me. I cannot recommend the company enough!

Great 2 Days exploring Cairo

Thanks to Aymad Fouad for a great 2 day tour. He is a great tour guide and also took great photos of us as well. He navigated through the crowds and made it very easy getting around the city. He has a lot of knowledge about every location and made it very interesting for us. He even offered to help us if we needed anything after the tour was over and before our flight. The icing on the cake was him taking us to try local food which was incredible. Request for him when you book! The driver was great as well in taking us around through people honking and traffic. Our tour guide, Maged El behairy (pronounced Magic), was great with our children and helping out. He is very knowledgeable, had lots of patience with us, and was a pleasure to be around. I also have to give huge props to our drivers. Driving around Cairo is an experience on its own. I have read through other reviews and seems like all their tour guides have been great. But if you go with kids, I would highly recommend Maged. He explained a lot about Egypt, answered all our questions, and we all learned a lot of great facts about the sites we visited. Remember "Hot Chicken Soup"! As far as being in Cairo, we felt pretty safe. The locals were very nice and hospitable towards us and the kids. The hotel we stayed in was great and took great care of us. If you are thinking about going to Egypt let Emo Tours be your pick to get you around!

Learning about Egypt could not have been done any better than going thru Emo Tours! Tonsi (Ahmed Tonsi) our tour guide is the best ever!!! From the moment we were picked up at the airport til we left, it was an experience that was outstanding! He is extremely knowledgeable about Egypt. We learned way more than we could ever dream. Tonsi goes above and beyond with his wealth of knowledge of his beloved Egypt. We even experienced some local cuisine which was yummy! Don't look anywhere else. Friendly, Incredible Guides Made our Dream Come True!

I searched Tripadvisor for all the private tour groups, the packages they offered, and their rating. Emo Tours was top in all categories. So, I began emailing Emo Tours (specifically, Mahmoud) asking if they could provide a private tour for 2 days and airport transportation. Mahmoud was always courteous and answered questions quickly. I gave him a list of places and things we’d like to do, my flight information for airport transportation , and was given a very reasonable quote. I was picked up at the airport by Mohammad Hammad and a driver. Mohammed was very friendly and confirmed our itinerary. I told him we had a couple of last-minute changes, but Mohammad was happy to accommodate them. So, off we went to the hotel. All along the way Mohammad pointed out sites, gave historical tidbits, and made me feel extremely welcomed in Egypt. Before we got to the airport, he gave me his phone# and we agreed to use WhatsApp to communicate (How cool is that?). We had an 8am pick-up the next morning and began our private-guided tour Day 1 with Bouly Saad our outstanding driver and Walid Afifi our extremely knowledgeable guide. We visited the Giza pyramids & Sphinx, the Valley Temple, Sakkara, and Memphis City. We were riveted to every word from Walid because he told the story of Egypt’s history and culture every place we visited. He was very vivacious and enjoyed that we were just as passionate to learn. We told Walid we wanted to experience anything local – including the food, so our lunch was at a local restaurant, Royal N, which overlooked the Giza pyramids. We sat rooftop and enjoyed fresh vegetables with rice, babaganoush, fresh pita bread with dips and then BBQ’d chicken. The cool part other than it was all local food made by a family? The BBQ grill was a little stone box with a grill on top and cooked right in front of us! We went back to the hotel for some rest then were picked back up by Bouly and our night-guide, Eso Adel. Eso is a ray of sunshine at night – happy to make sure our night cruise and dinner on the Nile was memorable. There was a buffet meal, a local folk band, and a belly dancer. Eso’s smile and jovial conversation endeared us to her by the end of the night. We were so impressed with Bouly & Eso that we asked to have them again on Day 2 (Walid was already designated to us, which thrilled us to no end). Day 2 we set off to the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. We wanted to see the highlights and King Tut and that’s exactly what Walid showed us. He enthralled us with historical descriptions of each artifact we marveled at. Walid continued to enchant our imaginations with his vivid descriptions of Old Cairo and the religious houses that are there. He was always attentive to our needs, provided us with bottled water, and kept introducing us to Egyptian people and places. Lunch on Day 2 was at another wonderful restaurant, Abou Tarek koshari, in Cairo (see my review for that). It is THE PLACE to get authentic koshari (an Egyptian lunch tradition) in town. Walid once again impressed us with showing us Egyptian culture. We were picked-up by Eso again to go to the Sound & Light Show at the Giza pyramids. Once again, her infectious smile and enthusiasm made our evening special and unforgettable. Our last day, Mohammed picked us up to bring us back to Cairo airport. He was friendly as always and helped direct us to the right area for departures (Cairo airport is a little confusing). To sum up Emo Tours, they made our trip of a lifetime magical and memorable. Mohammad made sure everything went smoothly and started/ended the trip with ease and wonder. Walid, Bouly & Eso gave us more than memories to bring home, they are now an extension of our family. We continue contact and enjoy weekly updates, hellos and even recipes. Emo Tours is the way to go when you travel to Egypt.
