I would recommend this half day tour to young and old

Exactly what was advertised. Van very comfortable and our guide very accommodating and knowledgeable. Very hot but the guide positioned the van so I (74yrs) could see my family walking and the actual sites

Awesome day tour outside Cairo/Giza. We had a private small-group tour. Air conditioned van. Our guide was great. Included lunch. Note: the descent into the bent pyramid is particularly difficult.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Memphis, Sakara and Dhashur with Martina your lovely guide and driver Shady. We had a wonderful and memorable time. Lots was packed in. Left 9am returned x7 hours later. Hotel drop off and pickup was given. The drive took 1.5 hours through the city then the countryside. We learned a lot of history, though at times our guide misunderstood us due to not being 100% fluent in English. Nevertheless, she was friendly, caring (keeping us safe from touts / locals at sites expecting tips etc) and was thorough. She took lots of photos for us too, always with a smile. On your breakdown, it says free admission for all pyramids seen, but we were disappointed we could enter the Red and Bent and Titi pyramids, but she took us to walk round the whole Step pyramid, but said to go inside the Step pyramid itself, it was extra to pay? We did not know this? If so , you need to make this clear on your itinerary as it says entrance included. Lunch stop food was good, though the service there was a bit slack regardless of number of waiters hovering around. Eg Had to ask x3 times to get some ketchup. Drinks extra. Thank you - we do recommend this tour our friendly driver Shady and Martina our charming guide.

Had a super informative and fun time with guide Asmaa and driver exploring Saqqara, Dashur and Memphis. Was a bit apprehensive that a personal tour would be too intense as i was travelling alone, but they were both friendly, relaxed, organised and informed. From a call to say they were outside my accommodation, to tailoring exactly to my interests (i wanted to go inside several of the pyramids), they were great. It made a great intro to my Egypt trip and I found myself referring back often to things Asmaa had told me throughout my time there. Many thanks both of you!

Lack of knowledge from your guide,not very good speaking English,telling untruths on things. Very poor lunch. Pressured into shops to buy & give tips.

Excellent trip with expert guide

This was an excellent trip and our guide Omar was an expert Egyptologist. He took his time to explain things very well and made it a very enjoyable experience. My daughter and I were very satisfied with the trip, the lunch was very nice and Omar was a fantastic guide. We will definitely use Emo Tours again.

Great experience

Overall, it was a great experience. My guida Fatma was nice and with great knowledge. Driver was also super nice and kind. The tour itself is great although personally I choose to skip some visit to carpet and oil shops. But I went to The papiro and I really enjoyed. The only thing that I didn’t like so much was the subtil pressure for positive review and tip - your tour is great, you don’t need to do that. I would recommend it to whom really want to go inside a mastaba without “suffering” with too many people and to have something great to actually see. I loved it 😍

Enjoy the treasures outside of Cairo

Great experience, the guide in Italian and the driver were very professional, I enjoyed the tour, always ready to answer to my questions and fulfill my wishes. Very interesting to visit the different pyramids in Sakkara and Dashur and Memphis areas. All entrance were included and the guide was very prepared. I booked the tour the evening before, even though it was everything well organized and I got immediately the confirmation. Bravo. Lunch was in a menu restaurant, very good food. Drinks were not included, but not expenses. I highly recommend this tour, I was very satisfied.

Half day tour with Amira

Me and my partner went yesterday for a Memphis, Saqqara and Dahshur tour and we loved every single moment of it! Our guide Amira was amazing, incredibly smart, supportive and kind! The driver was so fun, the food was very nice, the commitment with timing, the vehicle, everything on point! We will definitely recommend for friends!

Making lasting memories

Had a thourghly enjoyable day. Mehmood was here on time waiting for us. Made us very welcome. The tour it self was a lovely experience, very knowledgeable about all aspect of our tour. VERY GRATEFUL

I got to Cairo early passed midnight, in the morning and we went to the hotel , my tour package would start next day so at 5 am I thought I could take a tour to Sakkara so I wouldn’t waste my very first day and Eco tour scheduled my tour the same day at 10 am , I haven’t had a tour in that short time, thanks to my guide Waleed and “Afroto” the driver, with their knowledge and kindness I had a great day in Cairo and I didn’t waste my day at the hotel pool because even on vacation the time is money, highly appreciated and highly recommended

Unforgettable visit of the oldest pyramids

The pyramids of Dashur are unforgettable, pleasant day! Menna our guide was very nice, full of energy and good vibe to tell us history of Ancient Egypt. She was authentic and nice talks with her. I definitely would recommend her! Only small negative point is lunch, the food was good but the place a bit cringe.

Superb!

Myself and my friend both enjoyed our trip to Saqqara, Dashur and Memphis very much with Sayeed Amin and his very smooth, safe driver Abdul. Sayeed was so informative about history and archaeology and his love of both was quite clear. A great trip was had with time for information, pictures, questions and much more. I certainly recommend Sayeed to anyone. Hes very relaxed and funny too.

Great tour!

Amazing half day tour of Saqqara, Dashur and Memphis! It is a great combo, with lots of information and fun facts about ancient Egypt and the sites. My guide Sayed Amin was very nice and knowledgeable and our driver Said Elsayed was very kind. I highly recommend this tour!

A great day in the desert

I was hesitant to book any guided tours but I’m so glad I booked this one! Menna was a fantastic guide. She was very knowledgeable about the Sakkara and Dahsur pyramids. Her friendly and outgoing personality made us feel like we were on a trip with a friend. She encouraged us to take pictures and also was open to walking and talking in the desert when we didn’t feel up to going inside the final pyramid. And Mohamud our driver had no problem to pick us up along the street. We started at Sakkara, where we saw the step pyramid and explored a very well kept tomb. Then we continued to the Mit Rahina Museum in Memphis to see the outdoor display of the statues of Rameses II and from there headed back into the desert to visit the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. We finished the day with lunch in Giza. We were offered to visit the carpet schools and the papyrus museum but declined. As I mentioned at the beginning, I was hesitant about the tour but this was amazing.

Amazing - must-do!

Sayed, our guide, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We visited the red and bent pyramids first, and went inside the bent pyramid. This was an amazing experience and better than going inside the Great Pyramid, because there were far fewer people, and the climb is more interesting - down a long ramp, then up a series of stairs and through tunnels. Very Indiana Jones! We then visited the museum in Memphis and on to Sakkara. The tombs in Sakkara are very easily accessible, compared to the bent pyramid. Again, Sakkara was very quiet. Obligatory visit to a rug makers on the way back - but no pressure to buy anything. Definitely recommend this trip - very well organised, good to do just a half-day, and very few other tourists. Going in the bent pyramid was a highlight of the trip for me.

Perfect start to our Egyptian vacation

We choose the Half Day Tour To Memphis Sakkara And Dahshur Pyramids. It was our first full day in Egypt and a great start to our vacation. Our guide was Essam, he was so knowledgable and explains things in an easy to understand way. All of the site visits were well timed with plenty of time at the end to wander around on your own. I would highly recommend using this company and specifically Essam for your tour needs.

Great to see some less well known sites

Excellent teip with Sayed Mahmoud our guide and Amgad our driver. Brilliant to visit some of the less well known and less visited places around Giza and Cairo. Going in the bent pyramid was a real highlight - better than the Great Pyramid. Must-do!

Incredible tour!

We visited Sakarra, Dashur and Memphis with our guide Mahmoud, an independent guide through Emo tours and he was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, courteous, took great pictures of our family, and best of all, didn’t smoke, which we discovered later in the week is really hard to find in an Egypt guide. He offered the papyrus museum but didn’t pressure us when we declined. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.

The pyramids of dahshur...

The pyramids of dahshur as well as Sakkara noble’s tomb were very impressive and interesting. Guide gave a good overview to be more well informed for the Giza pyramids visited later on.

Amazing tour !

I had a great private tour with guide Mohammed and our driver. Mohammed is very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time and it was a privilege to visit Saqqara and Dahshur with hardly any other tourists. Memphis was also amazing. I recommend leaving your hotel at 8am and you will have Saqqara to yourself ! Don't bother researching other tours, just book this one 👍

A wonderful day out

Fantastic visit to the oldest pyramids with a brilliant guide and driver. I strongly recommend this trip, Saqqara alone is worth it plus the chance to enter some wonderful decorated tombs and pyramids make it an amazing day out.

Awful experience

Terrible experience. The “guide” was just offering things I did not want. If I paid you is to guide me where we went, it was obvious how poor his knowledge was. After that, he took to my to an overpriced papiro store, where they didn’t let me buy just a small piece. I already paid for the tour so be prepared and stop trying to sell stuff

Enjoyable Half Day Tour to Squeeze Into Your Schedule

My guide today was Mohamed (aka Rob) and I had a great time! He was on time, gave me some good historical background and was very friendly. He gave me plenty of time and room for me to chill and enjoy each site! This is my third day in Cairo, and I had 3 different guides and I feel Mohamed was the best so far! Not too loud, excessive information, nor too rushed. It was just about right! (at least for my taste) Good itinerary to squeeze in your schedule to explore Saqqqra, the Bent and Red Pyramids, and Memphis!

Desert Power!! With the best guide!

We been super super happy and fulfilled by this tour. Afifi (Habibi) is just the (officially!) best tour guide in Egypt. Not only as a guide but as impeccable guy . Full Egyptian History telling but/and also give us all necessary space and time to feel everything by our own. He chooses an spectacular typical Egyptian restaurant for our lunchtime on our way back hotel. Great hours. Ahh and 'bout Dahshur/Memphis/Saqqara? You just need to go and explore that. Desert Power ...like Arrakis:)

Great Adventure

We had a great day with Salah, our driver, and Rania, our guide. Doshar, Saqqara, and Memphis were so interesting. We loved our adventure inside the Bent Pyramid. Don’t miss going to the oldest pyramids.

Thoroughly enjoyable

Our guide Han? was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Climbing into the pyramids was ‘interesting’ but well worth the effort. We were given the option to stop off for lunch which we did and it was both lovely and sensibly priced. Overall we loved it.

Sakkara tomb was excellent. Dahshur a long drive but gave good opportunity to see surroundings. The first tomb very closed in but interesting.

Wow. A bucket list dream come true - Sayed made this the best day

I saw the Sakura and Dashur pyramids, along with Memphis, on a half day tour with guide Sayed Mahmoud and driver Ahmed Amer that turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Sayed organized the tour so that I had time alone in one of the Sakura tombs, he bought fresh dates for me to try, spent more time than the tour accommodated, and made this the best day I could have asked for. He even stopped so I could try Egyptian tea well past the end of the tour. Really, this is the kind of tour you always want but seldom get. Ahmed was an expert driver who was courteous and safe every step of the way. Shokran shokran shokran! I have made new friends and couldn’t have been happier with my guide, driver, and tour. Until next time habibi!

Excellent tour of wonderful sites

Incredible tour of pyramids with Mona as our guide and Joseph as driver. Mona is an experienced archaeologist who have us wonderful commentary and great advice. Could not have been better. Fine lunch included.

Adventure outside of Giza

The driver and the guide tour were nice. Pick up from outside the hotel. Went first to the Red pyramid where I had the opportunity to get inside (a challenge as it's 65 meters down and up doing squats but nicer than the Giza pyramids). Then we went for the other pyramid in Dashur (chose to stay in the car park instead of walking around). Next stop Memphis and the only thing I saw there was an open museum with same statues. Next was Saqqara and the oldest pyramid of Egypt and the temple next to it. Finished the tour in a restaurant where we had some grilled meat and lots of sides to choose from. The guide told me to eat all of the meat even when I told here I was full. It was weird. But overall a good experience.

Great day at Sakkara

My guide, Afifi, was very knowledgeable and his English was very good. I learned a lot about Saqqara and Memphis and had a once in a lifetime experience of climbing through the very narrow and claustrophobic tunnel into the broken pyramid at Dahshur

Excellent Tour of Saqqara

I had a great tour with Sayed. He was very knowledgeable and personable. The only downside is the add-ons like carpet and papyrus factories. Just stay firm and say not interested.

We were escorted on our trip to see the Stepped, Red and Bent pyramids by Sayed Amin What a fantastic half day we had. We were picked up right on time to commence our tour from Cairo. Sayed gave very detailed descriptions and explanations of everything we saw. He was a clear expert in the pyramids and tombs of this area. He was also very patient with our questions and provided clear commentary. We took the lunch option which was received at a local Egyptian venue. Food was great. We highly recommend Sayed Amin to escort you to Sakkara and Dahshur to view pyramids and tombs.

The Original Pyramids

If you’re interested in seeing the pyramids which were precursors to the Giza Pyramids, this is the tour for you! I booked a private tour to see Memphis, Sakkara, and Dahshur and had as much time as I wanted to visit each site. Mohammed, my guide, ensured I knew the history surrounding the sites and I never felt rushed. The stops at the rug and papyrus shop were well worth it and I surprised myself by coming away with purchases I will treasure forever!

Good to visit, but not so much time on a tour

Being part of a trip felt a bit rushed. If I visited again, I would take a taxi (you can easily arrange a taxi for the whole day for about $10), and spend more time at each site. Sakkara and Dahshur are definitely worth visiting, but there is almost nothing to see at Memphis (except for an impressive statue of Ramesses II).

An awesome day in the ancient times

Hamza was on time, very professional and gave us the explanations that suited our needs. He was respectful and caring. He loves what he does and he is extremely knowledgeable. He was also resourceful, we wanted to buy good quality souvenirs and he showed us an awesome place

We only have limited time but wanted to see as much of Egypt as we could. Brilliant tour! With amazing tour guide. She was brilliant and very informative. She went above and beyond to ensure we had all the information we needed and even stopped to get us some refreshments. Highly highly recommend.

Booked this online and lucked into Said as our tour guide. Truly the best guide you could ever dream of. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. We learned SO much and if you are fortunate enough to get the same guide your day will be a personalized immersion into ancient Egypt. Definitely a recommend!!!

Once in a lifetime experience

Our tour guide was wonderful and gave us great information. We were able to go inside of two of the pyramids which was interesting. The insides are plain, no art or heiroglyphics which was also interesting. It takes a good amount of effort to climb down and back up. There is a steep ramp to go down and many stairs inside. But a once in a lifetime opportunity. I wish that we would have been able to see some of the current work that they are doing in that area, because I know that they are recovering items almost daily in digs there. We saw the pyramids, but it would have been interesting to see museums with items that have been recovered. I know they have recovered several mummies including those of many cats. We did get to see several crocodile mummies.
