Half Day Tour to Khan Elkhalili & Islamic Cairo

Great experience!

Hamada was a very good host and ensured we were happy. He kept checking in with us and allowed us to tailor the tour to our requirements. We experienced the hustle and bustle of the bazaar and as an added bonus we visited sayeda Zainab mosque and sayeda Nafeesa mosque and the experience was incredible. To finish off we had some traditional Egyptian Koshary which was delicious.

Great Experience at Khan Elkhalili

Hamada brought us for dinner a real Arabic restaurant and brought us to this famous Arabic Tea and Coffee shop…what a place!!! We did this tour at night, and was So beautiful and friendly people!

Islamic Cairo and market tour

Great experience with our knowledgable guide Mahmoud. He knew the history of the buildings and his way around the market. Was a very interesting tour.

Fabulous half day in old Islamic Cairo

We had a wonderful half day tour exploring the old Islamic area of Cairo with Hamada who was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. We enjoyed our tea stop and lunch. We would recommend this tour. We went to the papyrus museum as an extra treat at the end of the tour.

A fabulous half day experience

Fabulous half day tour with Hamada as our guide. He is so knowledgeable, obliging and fun to be with. We really enjoyed exploring the historic part of Islamic Cairo and the Khan Ekhalili markets. Our tea stop was delightful and lunch delicious. At the end we went to the Royal Papyrus Museum which was fascinating. A fantastic half day which we would highly recommend.

One of the best tours in Cairo!

One of the best tours we've been on. We booked to see the bazaar and Islamic part of the city. Rodiina could not do enough for us, very knowledgable and felt like a personalised tour. She made us feel comfortable and safe throughout and showed us parts of the city we otherwise wouldn't have gone too.

not worth it

it’s not really a comprehensive tour of Islamic cairo. a lot of major landmarks are missed not worth it. you better off taking an Uber by yourself and doing a walk around of Khan El Khalili yourself because that you really do in this tour. and it is definitely not a half-day tour.

Great Tour of Old City Cairo

Hamada gave us an excellent tour of the old walled city in Cairo. He has great knowledge of the history of the country and ancient religion as whole and was able to answer all questions as well as add interesting additional context. He is a very warm person and we enjoyed getting to know him. Bonus points he’s the best cellphone photographer we’ve ever had for a guide, he has a great eye for making a nice picture and even taught us multiple things about our phones cameras and how to use them we didn’t know. Who knew we were going to learn about old Cairo and gain a skill at the same time!

Great and Informative Old Cairo Tour

Our family had an excellent tour of Old town Cairo. Loved seeing the amazing architecture, mosques and the bustling alley’s of the Khan Khalili market. Our tour guide, Hamada, was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain the history of Islamic Old Town. Definitively recommend this tour to see this area of Cairo

Magical visit in Cairo

Fantastic Tour with Hamada through the Islamic Cairo and Khan Elkhalili, very interesting and entertaining, it was our last day in Egypt but if we had stayed for longer we would have continued visiting Cairo with Hamada. Great explanations and also photo opportunities. We also visited the Egyptian Civilization Museum with its mummies and historic artifacts. We’ve had a very beautiful day!

Well organized tour and the guide!

Mohammad was out tour guide and we could not have asked for a better tour guide, ... , to show us around the Islamic side of Cairo. He had asked us what we would like to buy and made stops according to our needs and showed us the perfect shops. He was extremely kind and generous. Also, he showed us around the Khan E Khalilli market in Old Cairo and brought us to the shops with the best deals and amazing quality. As we walked around, we would stop to admire the beautiful architecture and he provided us with the fascinating history behind each building. It was an incredible and insightful experience which we could not have done without Mohammad. We highly recommend this tour!

Amazing history with a knowledgeable guide

Hamada was an amazing host! Spoke perfect English and was happy to move through the market at our own pace. Stopping to show us different crafts man and point out little known historic points throughout. Was great to hear his history of religion throughout history. 100% recommend!

Wonderful introduction to Cairo

Thoroughly enjoyed the driving portion of the tour from the hotel to the site. A lot of information was given about the city and its origins. Guide was very knowledgeable. The background and tour given at the market was great. As a tourist we would have been lost and had little idea what we were looking at. Was a great way to start our trip to Egypt!

Amazing experience

This gentlemen has knowledge about any subject you open and he is not keeping it for himself. We loved everything about this tour. Walking in the city center

Walking among people forgetting that you are a tourist. You can learn so much about the local history and culture. The intact architecture hidden in the city center is impressive. Insights on history and tradition always precise and detailed. The food tasted delicious during the tour. Highly recommended.

Dissatisfied

Starting 2hrs later than expected. Being driven around in an old vehicle with no air con. Walking quickly to try and keep up with the tour guide and finishing early! The tour guides knowledge was very good when in the old buildings, but not a lot of discussion had between sites, just quick walking. The market was interesting.

Unprecedented Experience

I could not have expected such a knowledgeable guide, unprecedented and professional service. I would recommend this tour but moreover, I would recommend Mohammed Hussein to anyone who wants to fully appreciate Cairo, it’s history, culture and people.

Amazing and best tour and guide!

Hamada is a very knowledgeable person whom I learnt alot of information from about Islamic Cairo. He took me around the Market and stopped off at a few shops and waited while I did some souvenir shopping. We stopped at a lovely cafe to have some cold juice as it was a very hot day and he also went out of his way to stop off at a coffee shop as I wanted to buy some Egyptian coffee beans. Will highly recommend and use him for his other services.

Best tour services so far in egypt!

The whole experience with Hamada was a great experience from start to finish. Hamed is a very knowledgeable man who taught me a lot of the History about Islamic Cairo. Took me around the market without any issues and we even sat down at a lovely cafe for some nice cold juice. He also went out of his way to take me to the coffee shop as I wanted to get coffee beans to take back home. Will definitely book with Hamad and his company again for sure!! 100 will recommend his services to all my friends and family.

We learned a new perspective on the history of Old Islamic Cairo and the development of the 3 major world religions, Islam, Christianity and Judaism Hamada our guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us insights that we had not realized before. We booked the half day tour through Viator, our guide picked us up, was very friendly and took us to see Islamic Cairo and the Khan el khalil souq, our tour guide was absolutely brilliant really enjoyed it. Would 100% recommend for anyone who visit Cairo for the first time, you get to see the locals and get to see what Cairo is really like,

Perfect Taster of Old Cairo with Young Children

What a wonderful experience Hamada created for our family in such a short time. The half day tour was exactly what we needed with young children (6 and 10 years old) in order to get a taste of Old Cairo’s history. Hamada provided fascinating insights and pointed out incredible historic gems hiding around each corner that we would have completely missed had we been walking on our own. Great half day in old Cairo

Hamada gave us really interesting information and historic content. The mosque we visited was gorgeous. We felt safe in the souk. We hate in a great restaurant, authentic Egyptian food.

My husband and I did this tour with guide Hamada. He was very knowledgeable and a great guide through the confusing streets of Khan Elkhalili. He gave good tips about where to shop in the bazaar and knew where all the great photo ops were! Had a great meal of feteer (Egyptian pancake). We had not been to any of the museums and he was amenable to adding this on to our tour. All in all we had a great experience. Thank you Hamada!

A wonderful atmospheric tour of Khan Elkhalili and Islamic Cairo

We spent a lovely informative half day touring Khan Elkhalili and Islamic Cairo with Hamada and his wife. Unfortunately my wife was not feeling so well so we had to skip eating out, however, we stopped at a small cafe in the centre of Khan Elkhalili to enjoy coffee, green tea and soak up the amazing atmosphere.

Our Best Tour in Cairo

We booked an evening/night tour and Mina was our guide. We loved his mix of information, humor and good spirits. The night grew busy and festive as people broke their fast for Ramadan and we made our way through the architecture that came alive with Mina's storytelling. Excellent falafel and coffee finished our evening. Thank you Mina for a wonderful tour and Ahmed for your skillful driving in the chaotic Cairo traffic!

This tour with Mina was delightful. He was flexible when we were running late and very gracious. We enjoyed learning about the area and found the tour thoughtful and enjoyable. Very highly recommended and thank you so much for a fun and informative evening. Ahmed our driver was very skillful in the nightmare that is Cairo driving!

AVOID Egypt Fun Tours.

Egypt Fun Tours never showed up for a pick up and did not answer their customer service contact numbers and emails. This is despite booking and confirming the location pick up. Got a refund from Viator but nothing from the company - not even an apology.
