Sound and light show, ok but not great

The Sound and Light Show is an experience that we were both looking forward to. However we both felt that there was a lot of superfluous noise from the local bars and hotels that was quite distracting. We also felt that the commentary was not always easy to follow.

Unreliable and untrustworthy

The operator informed us that our tour was cancelled at 23.05 the night before our show was scheduled. They offered to reschedule but we couldn't make the alternatives. They then told us that we would need to cancel the booking, which as it would have been within the 24 hour notice period we would have forfeited our money. We ignored repeated 'what's app' messages telling us to cancel and contacted Viator on our return, who were excellent and refunded our money immediately. It's a shame that the tour operators seemed more focussed on ripping us off than helping!!

Pyramids at Night

Was wonderful to experience the Pyramids of night. Guide Somaya & driver Mohamed help were personable & engaging from pick up to drop off - highly recommend

Pleased I saw the pyramids but ……

Egypt Tours were great. On time. Friendly and efficient. The show itself must be 50 years old. Poor audio and cheap graphics. In Cairo on business so the night show the only chance to see the pyramids. But a tourist with more time should give the show a miss. Basically the two pics the best of a pretty cheap show

Messed up

Very bad experience. We were driving around our hotel for more than an hour and when we asked for the reason why they told us that the electricity is off at the Giza Pyramids and the show was cancelled. After while and as soon as we told them to continue driving to Giza they told us they have a secure place with a beautiful terrace and free drinks to see the pyramids & the sphinx. We finally went to Giza after to see the pyramids from a nice terrace very close to the main area. There were no problem with the electricity, of course. We’ve seen a lot of people to attend this sound & light show in a private event so most probably this is the reason why we lost the show or it is a complete fraud. Andreas

Knowable, safe, fun

Jessy our guide and Shady our driver were absolutely fantastic! My husband and I felt safe and had a great time!

Not worth the money.

It was not worth the money. On site it said snacks and bottled water were included. I didn't care that we did not receive snacks, but planned for the water. This is very important in a country where you can not drink the tap water. Our guide did not have tickets when they picked us up. We stopped twice close to the Pyramids where he asked people on the street what tickets they had. Maybe this is standard practice, but expect more from a viator trip.

Inspiring introduction to the Giza pyramids

Seeing the Giza pyramids at night was awesome! Tour operator was late; we missed the first part of the presentation. The drive from hotel to Giza was terrifying and, in my opinion, unnecessarily dangerous.

A great light show and lesson about ancient Egypt

This show was fantastic. We enjoyed the way they used the lighting on the pyramids and sphinx. In addition we received a good introductory history lesson of ancient Egypt. We went on the VIP tour and were able to sit right in the front row for unobstructed viewing and picture taking.

Good experience. We were a bit late. But this is good for feel than story. Cold in the night. Good for photos

Convenience at a price

Dahlia was a superb guide and the friendliest person we've met in Egypt. She was an absolute treat and spoiled us like a mum with some of her personal treats. I booked this because I could not get tickets from the official site and was worried it would be sold out by the time I hot to Egypt. This was double the price but included transfer and guide. Turns out I could have booked the tickets on the night BUT Dahlia had made the experience worth it and I would do this again thanks to Dahlia

Light and Sound show

The show was nice but a bit dated. I’m glad I went but the sound was not good quality and the lights could have been better. We read that the VIP ticket included snacks and a drink. Our guide did get us a Coke and bought us sine cake It was nice to be in the front row.

Good experience

The show is enjoyable and worth doing, but somewhat outdated and “cheesy”. Our guide was good, but basically served as direct transportation to and from our hotel.

Show canceled

One hour before pickup time we received a phone call informing us they had decided not to do the show that night. We were not able to reschedule due to our schedule. Very disappointing.

Do it for your first look of Sphinx and Pyramids.

The setting and lighting is awesome. We got there 20min early and took some awesome pics in the setting sun. The voice was loud and clear. The content got boring after the first 20 min of the show. They should revamp the content. Beware if the dogs in the area, they bark a lot and can scare the kids.

Great show, delicious snack, amazing seats for a great price.

I really like the light and sound show of the pyramids. We got picked up from hour hotel on time. We learned a lot about this magnificent place. We got amazing VIP seats, with a snack that was very good, for a great price. I really recommend this company.

Show can be canceled and difficult to get refund

It was really bad. It was cancelled by the operator without a reason and we were not given any information about how to get a refund.

Nice but some mistakes could have been avoided

The experience, the show and the guide and the driver were nice, confusion about the dates and the show time shouldn’t have happened, since the show time differences In Ramadan shouldn’t have been a surprise.

Great service and experience!

Great service! Once in a lifetime experience! Unique place with very nice story and lights, I would recommend it to the people who will appreciate the ancient history!

Not impressed

Menna our guide, decided last minute to arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled pick up time. We of course planned for the original schedule. Menna missed us causing us to pay for another tour with someone else. Not impressed

Incomplete & The Pyramid Tourism Guys shud take note

This could have been an amazing Show if not for frequent cars moving up & down when the light show was on. If not for stray dogs Barking through the show. This was such an Important Place & to have stray dogs barking was a bit Off for me. The Audio was terrible. Make no Mistake this is a Must do but only for you to see the Pyramids in the night. Apart from that you understand no head or tail about what they say as its Audio is bad & the light show is not as upgraded. I really Hope someone form the Authorities seee & Take a simple corrective measure of just moving those 5 dogs & also telling no cars to move when the show is on.

Not a sound and light you would be expecting.

I was under the impression that it would be a impressive light show but it wasn't. It just gives you the story behind the pyramids with a couple of lights here and there. Great to visit to learn the history of the pyramids but it's not really a sound and light show like one would be expecting.

a company that makes money by deceiving its customers

We lost our money. They canceled the show and we can’t get our money back because there is no way to contact them. We are so disappointed.

NOT RECOMMANDED AT ALL

Viator has canceled 30min before the show and took the monnay. I am not refund yet and don’t even know where to contact the customer service. I would definitly NOT recommend VIATOR.

Loved seeing Pyramids at Night

Seeing the pyramids at night was totally worth the the trip and adventure. However, The reason I gave it three stars is because the actual sound and light show was pretty lame! I don’t think it has been updated in years. Story was hard to follow and not very creative. However, our guide and driver was great and so glad we had them to navigate and get us there and make it a seamless event. Just know that you may not like the actual “show” and narrative but we LOVED seeing the pyramids at night.

Beautiful night

Tour guide and driver arrived promptly. When we got to the Venus, the guide got us tickets and show us to our seats(awesome front row) and where to meet afterwards. Bring a light jacket, it can get a little cool at night. History of the pyramids is so interesting. It was a great time.

BEST VIP Night Show

This was the 1st activity we did when we arrived to Cairo from Italy! This is where we met the BEST tour guide of our trip. HAZEM made this night wonderful, We were greeted at our hotel as mentioned. Took a 40 min ride to Giza, I was still little tired from our flight and he stopped and got me my 1st Turkish coffee in the area ( wow was so good and woke me right up). Once we arrived, we waited comfortably in the car while he got our tickets (the area is a frenzy of local sellers to tourist, and can be very overwhelming).Once we entered he had 1st row seats waiting for us. We posed for some pics and enjoyed the show. It was very informative and quite nice to enjoy in the open sky with the pyramids. once the show was over was we were taking back to our hotel safely. ** In conversation we realized most of our activities were thur this company that we requested HAZEM to be our private guide for the other activities as well. SAFETLY AMD GREAT COMMUNICATION is highly important when traveling international and Hazem represented that 100% !!

Amazing show and great customer care

Excellent customer care from both our driver and guide. We were met at our hotel and taken to Giza with a history of the area on route. The show was atmospheric and informative throughout. Can totally recommend.

Light Show

An amazing organization, everything was at the highest level. Excellent driver and guide. The show was very impressive! Must-visit!!!

A different view of the Pyramids.

The guide was very informative and helpful. He was a few minutes late and we quickly understood why as we entered Cairo traffic. We arrived with time to spare and he was there to make sure we we covered for language head sets if needed. I would recommend this activity especially if you are a fan of the James Bond movie "The Spy Who Loved me".

A little dated.

Although it was fabulous sitting and looking at the Sphinx and Pyramid in the evening, the show itself is a little dated.

Classic experience

An awe-inspiring experience that lived up to the hype. Really well organised, especially because the times changed for Ramadan and they kept us informed. The guide was amazing too, really helpful. Driver and car were smooth too.

An interest in experience if it your first time In Cairo

We arrived early and had front row seats, having paid extra for VIP seats. As it turned out, this was not really necessary as there were only about 4 rows taken altogether, but the VIP ticket did give a cushion on the seat!) However, on a previous Cairo trip the S&L was very busy, so your upgrade was certainly worth it. Be warned, it can be quite chilly as the winds comes across the desert. Although we think Egypt is always warm, the evening temp dropped to 8°C that evening, so a fleece was definitely necessary. The S&L was impressive but not outstanding- it is possibly a bit dated now but it was an experience it is worth having.

Ayman Abed was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and funny. When I travel I typical travel alone. I felt completely safe.

New Years night light show at the pyramids

Had a lovely night, escorted to the sound and light show, arrived early, friendly, learned so much about the pyramids on the car ride to the event! Mohamed hamed is an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Great trip, full of experiences, nice atmospere and fully profesional. High standard of higiene and protection. contact before and on time. I decided to take one more trip with them next day and also was great. I enjoyed not only turist atraction but also great atmosphere and a lot of social and historican information. Very friendly.

Booked them via trip advisor. Very prompt email correspondence. Pick up on time. Reached the show just before it started as traffic was rather heavy. Guide was rather quiet and could have pointed out at the historic buildings on route. But still it was worthwhile booking them. Highly recommended.

1st class treatment

We were picked up on time in a nice AC van, Omar was very nice and friendly as was the driver. The show was amazing, it told the story of the pyramids and the sphinx throughout time. Really well done. I know it was a touristy activity but it was worth it to me, my wife & daughter!

Nice Show

I was picked up on time by Mohamed Hamed and the driver. He had a bottle of water for me to take with me to the show. I enjoyed the show and once it was over Mohamed was outside at the gate waiting for me. I was happy that I didn't have to search for him since there was a lot of other guides waiting for their clients as well. I was taken back to my hotel just as smoothly as I was picked up. I would use Emo Tours again.

Spettacolo di suoni e luci emozionante che racconta la storia dell'Egitto attraverso la costruzioni delle Piramidi. Lo speaker è in lingua inglese ma siamo stati dotati di audio guida in linga italiana. Avevamo acquistato i posti in prima fila e abbiamo fatto bene.

No vale la pena

Hacía mucho frío a la intemperie y el espectáculo no ayuda, demasiado hablado, muchas veces la música tapaba el relato, los efectos de luz dejan mucho que desear, se escucha mucho ruido de fondo del barrio vecino.

Dated and boring show

Show dated and not very spectacular, lights on the pyramids practically absent, the only positive note is seeing the pyramids and the sphinx at night, but after 10 minutes you would already want to leave: it always seems like something is about to start that never starts! For us who had to pay the driver from the hotel it was an absurd price, money that I wouldn't spend again

Everything very antiquated

The sound and light show was a big disappointment. Although it was advertised as being in German, the performance was actually in English. This was extremely annoying. In addition, the entire show seemed very antiquated and not at all contemporary. The technology and effects were very reminiscent of the 1970s and could not keep up with modern productions. The road that ran right through the performance area was particularly annoying. The lights from passing trucks and other vehicles were extremely disturbing and significantly reduced the atmosphere. Overall, the sound and light show was a big disappointment. The wrong language, the antiquated staging and the annoying traffic contributed to the performance not offering the desired experience.

Ottimo servizio con pick-up, accompagnatore parlante italiano. Bel biglietto Vip sono inclusi: posto in prima fila, bevanda presso il bar e audio guida nella tua lingua. Il prezzo è interessante per chi alloggia lontano da Giza. Spettacolo carino, nulla di eccezionale. Potrebbero rinnovarlo e renderlo più spettacolare e moderno.
