Day Trip to Giza Pyramids Old Cairo Citadel and Bazaar

Recommended-Great opportunity to see many things in a day

This day trip is highly recommended for people who wish to have a great time in key sights and care about listening to some very interesting facts about the history of Egypt. Our tour guide was Marwa and the driver was Hasan. MARWA is a very sweet person that really cares for what she is doing. She is also very helpful and kind and will not let you get overcharged for items of local markets. The sights were amazing and very interesting and the trip was not so tiring -having in mind that it has many sights in one day. The van was also amazing and comfortable.

Brilliant guide and driver, amazing tour

Our tour was FABULOUS. Essim Ali (hope I spelt that right), was quite amazing. Perfect English, understood my many questions, we understood him perfectly. He went out of his way to point out fabulous things most would miss. Truly unbelievable tour, bravo, and our driver was exceptional, all that busy close of day mad Cairo traffic (I have forgotten your name), you were exceptional.

Isam Ali of Emo Tous is an excellent guide.

Our guide was Isam Ali (I hope that is the correct spelling). He was fabulous. We were NOT rushed; he went at our pace, and he took some really fun photos for us. All our questions were answered regardles of the topic. There did not seem to be any lack of understanding for him or for us. We did not want to stop for lunch and he was happy to work right through the whole day. By the end of the day he was limping, but he just kept going pleasantly thoughtfull, extremely knowledgeable and graciously. Our driver He was excellent and forgive me, I have forgotten his name. How he managed to maneover as he did in the constant traffic and hooting was incredible. A day with these two gentlemen is well worth the price; a full 9 hours. That was yesterday, 16 March 2024. Today, 17 March 2024. We chose a different company and it was no where near as pleasant. Our guide could not speak much English and he did not understand most of our questions. We were supposed to be taken to a felucca trip and they pushed not to go so much, we gave up. We were supposed to have about 12 hrs and we got about 6 and a half. We really understand how fortunate we were yesterday.

Dashuur and Memphis

Sayed Mahmoud led us around the Dashuur, Red and Bent pyramids. After he led us around Memphis to see some statues. We had a great lunch and visited the carpet school. Our driver Ahmed was amazing and a very safe driver. He kept the vehicle very clean after each trip!

Best Guide with Emo tour

The best guide ever in Cairo is Oussama, male you laugh 24h know the best spot in the city ,a super guide and eazy goin guy. Wonderful enerfy and positive mindset. Ask him about the spot for keftah and chicken bbq. And if you visit Loucour and Aswan the only reference is Ahmed E. he is a GOAT. Will do everything to make you comfortable and enjoying your stay. He is one of my favorite personn in Egypt.

Pyramids of Egypt

I very much enjoyed my tour today with Essam! He is very knowledgeable of Egyptian history. It was very interesting listening to him share this knowledge throughout the tour. He also helped me with taking photos and kept everyone away who was trying to sell me things. Definitely recommend him for anyone else wanting to do a tour around the pyramids!

Amazing tour with Maged!!

A lot of ground to cover in this tour in a day, but Maged was brilliant in organizing the places in the tour so that we could get sufficient time at each place and at the best time of the day. Was very hazy on the Sunday morning, so Maged suggested we finish old cairo first since cairo city traffic would be relatively less early in the morning and we would get better shots and visibilty in the afternoon at the pyramids, and he was spot on. We saved time on the commute so we could take our time soaking in the citadel and old cairo without the crowds. Later visited Khan-el-khalili before the evening crowds started. Ended the tour at Giza when the sky had cleared up completely with plenty of time to spare for an additional camel ride too and we got some brilliant shots. Also, Maged in highly knowledgeable about Egyptian history and knows all the best spots for photos and is an amazing photographer. We got some of the best shots of our Egypt trip with him. We saw everything on the plan and never felt rushed. Highly recommend EmoTours and Maged!!

Very pleasant

My tour guide was called Menna. She was lovely and very enthusiastic about history. She explained the history in detail and very well. Very courteous and polite. Didn’t rush the tour at all. Took awesome pictures of me. Went above and beyond in making sure i had a great day. Fully recommend asking for Menna for your tour.

Nice day trip

Adel Hakem was my guide very courteous and professional and had great knowledge of ancient Egypt. I'd recommend him.

Essam was the best!!

After a fantastic outing to Giza, Memphis and Saqqara with Essam, I booked a second tour with him!! I only had about 5 full days in Cairo, so wanting to maximize my sightseeing, I booked a trip with Emo tours; I’m elated that I did. Essam should receive am award for his dedication to my happiness, his willingness to take incalculable photos, and how knowledgeable he was. What blew me away was that on both tours, no matter how niche or obscure of a question I asked, Essam always knew the answer. Additionally, Essam catered to my vegan dietary needs and helped me unearth some delicious and authentic Egyptian street food. There can be consternation not only as a solo traveler in a dissimilar culture, but also as a queer individual, however Essam made me feel most welcomed in an unfamiliar place. While the resounding theme of this trip thus far has been how fallacious Western media can be regarding those living in the Middle East, Essam and this particular tour was especially singular.

Simply Amazing!!

Our tour guide Ali Nagoya and our driver Ibrahim were fantastic! We did the Giza pyramids tour and the Citadel - bazaar with the feluca option. Everything was better than expected. Ali's knowledge and professionalism are remarkable. We are so happy with our experience in Cairo that we highly recommend Emo Tours to anyone who wants to have a hassle free, easy and complete tour in Cairo.

Nice day in Cairo

It was nice experience. We learned a lot about Egypt history, enjoyed in Giza, rode cammels, saw outstanding artefacts in Egyptian museum. At the end we visited bazar and it was very nice experience. Our guide Ola was fantastic, her knowleadge is enormous, as well as devotedness.

My trip to the pyramids

Amazing day trip to the pyramyds og giza. My guide Essam was very good of explaining everything and his english is very good. I recomend this trip to anyone that is intristed in seeing the pyramyds.

We liked it!!

The guide was really nice. He picked us up at our place, outside of the city. He knew what he was talking about, and gave us a lot of good information. He offered to take pictures and made sure we were ok. We can definitely recommend him!

My tour guide Essam was amazing!

Unbeknownst to me I booked a private tour for just myself. Essam was essential for me having such an enjoyable and safe experience in Egypt. I did a full day tour from the pyramids, the citadel, lunch, the bazaar, and an felucca ride on the Nile. I could not have asked for a greater experience. Thank you Essam. You were kind, patient, and great at taking pictures!

We booked 3 different activities with EMO Tours - I'll admit I was taking a chance. If this tour company sucked then I was in trouble. So - whats the polar opposite of sucked? That's EMO tours. They were awesome! Started with an airport pick up and transfer to our hotel. So much more than your average transportation. The young man that met us was a wealth of information during our short drive to our hotel. He was also pleasant and welcoming. It was the best way to start our trip to Egypt. The next day we did the Day Trip to the Pyramids, Old Cairo, Citadel and Bazaar. We were met in the lobby of our hotel by Nesma (I may be spelling her name wrong) and she basically took care of us the whole day - pretty much catering to what we needed and wanted to do. We got to see everything on our list and thoroughly enjoyed the day. She was not only friendly but she had a wealth of information and fun facts. We learned so much. We also did the Nile dinner cruise with EMO tours - this time Mahmoud was our guide and they were 3 for 3 - he was a delight. EMO knows how to find the best tour guides. We felt comfortable, safe and entertained. One thing about the dinner cruise - the entertainment is awesome but the food - not so much. It's pretty average buffet food - don't get excited about that.

They were great! We were kinda scared visiting Egypt because of all the negative reviews I got from family and friends. Because of this, we just decided to take a daytrip to Cairo. Emo tours guide TITO was exceptional! Thanks Tito! We were picked up at the airport and also, dropped off at the end of our tour. Tito educated us on everything about the Pyramids that we needed to know. He is very knowledgeable and loves his job. We are very happy with the tour and the least we can do is give exceptional reviews on trip advisor!! Better get them when you are in Egypt. Will not regret it😀

LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE! EMO TOURS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

I love to travel but Egypt is the best vacation I've experienced by far and a lot is due to EMO TOURS! We spent almost 2 weeks in Egypt, everyday with a tour guide which made my experience the best. The first accommodation they made was making sure every restaurant we visited had a vegan meal for me. The tour guides were very knowledgeable of Egypt's history and we learned a ton. Hotel accommodations were top dollar with awesome views of the pyramids. I visited with my sister and friend and we all had a blast. We visited over 10 temples, pyramids, museums, monuments etc. The tour guides took great care of us to make sure we were safe, comfortable and happy! I would do this trip 10 times again. Highly recommend EMO TOURS for your Egypt adventure. Everyone was very nice and customer service was magnificent. And lastly, YES IT IS SAFE TO TRAVEL TO EGYPT! Check out or pics!;-)

It was ok

Overall i would say OK. The guide has some shady business with local shops. Tell them not to take you to these shops. Though a souvenir shop in old bazaar was nice. But guides have commissions with them. I saw the owner handing our guide money.

Excellent Experience

I had an amazing experience venturing Cairo, and the tour guide Iman Ahmed did an astounding job explaining everything to me and making sure the trip went smoothly! Definitely recommend requesting Iman Ahmed!

What a wonderful day!!

We booked two trips for the same day; we did the visits of the pyramids, the museumand the Bazar. Our guide Ahmad Mohammed was super kind and Professional. The visit was super interesting , we had the guide just for us, and he made the visit more interesting by sharing his knowledge with us. We also made the cruise on the Nile on the evening; wich was alo very Nice. I absolutely recommend the tours!!!!

Amazing day in Cairo with Ahmed Tonsi!

Another wonderful day with the amazing guide Ahmed Tonsi. Not only did he explain all the history as we traveled through every sight but made us feel safe and comfortable while in the busy streets of the bazaar. Took us to lunch in the famous and oldest cafe in Cairo and brought us to a local gift shop away from the crowd. That had unbelievable prices so we wouldn't get haggled and overcharged. Truly amazing, a must see!

Great Days in Cairo

Just finished 2 days with Emo Tours with Essam (guide). I booked the tours but no other groups joined so they were personal tours. We were picked up from the hotel on time. Essam made us feel welcome to his city. We started at the citadel and spent as much time as we wanted in each places.Then we went to Islamic Cairo. Once Essam figured out what we liked and changed the your to suit your interests. It was buffet lunch at a nice and clean restaurant. After lunch we ended the day at the Egyptian Museum. We went to the pyramids on the second day. This was an amazing day and the reason to come to Egypt. Please note that the entrance fees are not included for the day due to high entrance fees and lots of options. It is extra to visit the tombs and enter the pyramids. The costs can really add up so consider the Cairo Pass if you intend to visit many places. It was a full day and every place was amazing. Essam was a great guide and treat you like a friend. He was very patient and waited while we took lots of photos including some of us. He always asked if we were content with the tour to make sure that we were happy. The lunch was very nice as well. A camel ride was included and 10 minutes is adequate. We highly recommend Emo Tours and our guide Essam. They really take care of their guests and offer great value and expertise. Cairo can be very chaotic and confusing but the tour was a great way to see the city and get you right into the keys things to do and see. Highly recommended and hope to use Emo Tours again.

Emo Tours Rocks. Awesome Day Tour to Giza Pyramids

I am giving my feedback again to Emo Tours Egypt after another great experience on a different tour booked after the successful 1st experience with them. This one is for a full day Tour in Cairo to Giza Pyramids with camel ride, including Citadel of Saladin & Mohamed Ali Mosque, Khan el-Khalili Bazaar and Egyptian Museum. Again this company keeps surprising me with the excellence of guided tours service provided. Very especial Thanks to our knowledgeable guide “Eman” and our driver. Excellent job! You made me feel very welcome and protected during the journey. Also especial recognition for “Mohamed” and the previous driver that booked and planned this tour for us while hotel-airport transportation during our previous tour. Great Team!!!

Amazing Guide & Company

Me & my wife visited Egypt last week ( Dec 2017 ). We hired Emo Tours with there guide Mr. Mohammad Goda. Just to keep it plain & simple, he had deep knowledge of all the Monuments. He even protected us from scammers as well. I highly recommend Mr. Goda & EMO tours & travels.

Much better than when we went alone!

We had previously gone to the pyramids without a guide, and that was miserable with so many scam artists approaching us. Emo tours and our guide Mr. Marwan made the experience much better and definitely worth the cost. Not only was our guide very knowledgeable and helpful, but he was also willing to customize the tour for us when we needed to stop for lunch, and waited with one of our group while the rest of us went inside the pyramids. Plus he was an excellent photographer when we needed group photos. We really felt like we got a great experience and learned much more than we had in a week in Cairo. Definitely recommend this tour, as well as paying the extra ticket fee to go inside the pyramids - it really feels like an adventure. And with a guide, the scam artists do not approach you.

Amazing Tour of Cairo

We were a party of 10 including 3 children. We went in the halls term holidays October 2017, 1 day in Cairo and the rest of the week in Hurghada. EMO tours had arranged everything for us for the Cairo day. I booked everything in advance and they confirmed the excursion via email. Great customer service and instant responses to any (many) of my questions. On the day we were picked up on time by our guide for the day Mahmoud Ahmed (Hoka) this guy was brilliant, full of knowledge and spoke perfect English. He had asked if I had a camera, I had a DSLR and he was familiar with the functions, he had said that he would also be our photographer for the day. So we travelled and enjoyed our day with constant photos being taken of us. Almost felt like a celebrity. We were picked up in a new, air conditioned vehicle and taken to Giza. On the way we told Mahmoud that we wanted to celebrate my nephews (3 years old) birthday at the Pyramids. He arranged for us to visit a cake shop so we got a birthday cake and candles, plates etc etc. When we arrived at the Pyramids we did not need to queue up or get tickets, he had arranged everything and we just walked straight in. After seeing the Pyramids we went to a Panoramic picture point, great place for photos. Went to eat at a restaurant on a boat on the Nile, again great service and food. It was a great day and very organised. Would highly recommend EMO tours and especially the guide Mr Mahmoud Ahmed (HOKA). Thank you for making our day very memorable.

Sehr lehrreich und spannend

Tolle Tour mit einem sehr kundigen Guide. Mit wurde neben den geschichtlichen Aspekte viel über die Lebensweise und das Leben der Ägypter beigebracht. Alles in allem ein toller Tag!

Mala suerte con la guía Rania de emotours.

La expericiencia de las excursiones en Egipto depende de mucho o todo del guía. En esta excursión tuvimos la mala suerte de estar con una guía llamada Rania de emo tour. Y fue muy malmpor los siguientes motivos. Su nivel de ingles era bastante malo. Sus conocimientos en egiptologia eran muy inferiores a wikipedia. Nos hizo posar para un montón de fotos que nos sacó con su movily nunca las envío despues. La visita en vez de 8 horas duro 5. Tan solo vimos 1 mezquita, la de la ciudadela en todo old cairo. Cuando fuimos al bazar nos llevó u puesto de precios desorbitados una camiseta 20 euros, como no compramos nada aunque necesitabamos porque nuestras maletas estaban perdidas, se enfado y nos dijo que el resto del bazar era muy peligroso y que no podíamos ir y nos de devolvio al hotel. Y le dimos propina aunque no se lo merecía. Pero repito todo depende del guía. En el crucero del Nilo más tarde tuvimos muy buenos guías con go tours y nos enseñaron mucho y nos divertimos mucho.

É interessante visitar as Pirámides de Gizé embora ache que deveriam estar mais protegidas. O Cairo tem um trânsito caótico e é difícil a deslocação dentro da cidade. O Bazar é interessante e grande

Excellent rapport qualité/prix
