We had a tour guide Abdou who was excellent. Our tour started in the Museum of Civilisation- which takes you through the rulers of Egypt from 5000+ years ago to the present day as well as allowing you see the Mummies (all 20 of them ) Abdou explained the history - we did this at the end of a week long tour having completed Saqqara, Giza, Aswan, Luxor etc it really brought the tour together and I would highly recommend it. We moved I’m on to the hanging church and then the church under which sits the cave where Jesus and his parents were meant to have stayed when they had to flee Herod and so went into Egypt - it was stunning. Next we visited the synagogue (one of the oldest) this was built were Moses had resided as a prince of Egypt before he helped the Slaves escape. Finally we visited two mosques so we transitioned through the religious life of Egypt. We completed our tour with a bit of the oldest Market in Egypt. I loved this tour and Abdou brought the history to life once again I highly recommend him 10/10.

Well built intinerary and a great guide.

It was the best day of my whole trip, I liked the program - it included 3 places and even a lunch buffet on a boat. My guide Mahmoud, with whom we could speak both Russian and English languages easily, is kind, cordial person and highly knowlegible historian. Please, send my big thanks and warmest regards to him - I really appreciate his attention to my or, would to any traveller, individual situation, needs and spiritual interests.

Coptic Cairo adventure

March 9th, 2024. Our guide was awesome! Super communicative and in a good mood (unfortunately I can’t remember his name). He seemed to know almost everyone around Cairo and we felt super at ease and safe with him, even at Al Khalili market which was packed with people. We started our day at the Egyptian Museum, where he explained the most important info about the Old and New Kingdoms, and the museum has some pieces that are just breathtaking. After that, we had lunch at a boat restaurant in the Nile and it was pretty good, it had lots of options because it was a buffet (drinks sold separately). After lunch, we headed straight to Al Khalili Market, followed by Old Cairo, Ben Ezra Sinagogue, The Hanging Church and a few more spots before coming back to the hotel. Worth mentioning that we were staying in Giza and the agency picks you up there, so it’s super convenient :)

Good tour to spend a quality day in Cairo

Very fullfilling tour. In one day, we saw the highlights of Cairo without wasting time and on our own schedule. We chose an option of the driver assistance only and had a great time. He drove us around all places we wanted and gave some insights and directions. Sala was a great driver, very helpful and we enjoys his company. My recommendations are to take a 1 hour private guide at the museum to get a better understanding. You will see them around by the ticket booth and it cost just $20, money well spent. We also took a local guide at the Citadel for $10, which was also very interesting and helpful.

A quick wonderful taste of Cairo

There is so much to see and our guide Omar did a fantastic job of catering our tour to exactly what we wanted to see. We saw all the highlights and couldn’t have had a better time! The mosques were breath taking. Coptic Cairo had lots to see and learn. The museum had an overwhelming amount of artifacts and our guide Omar took us to all the highlights and really gave us the most for the short amount of time we had! It’s the most fun I’ve seen my two teenage boys have on a tour!

Careful with which option you pick

The tour itself was good - both the guide and driver were knowledgeable and tentative. However we picked the option that includes the driver, guide and entry tickets (which was ~ 100 dollar more than the option without the tickets when we booked it). Turned out we only needed two tickets for the meseum (~ 20 dollar) during our tour. Probably good to check the ticket price before booking so that you don’t end up paying the extra for nothing.

Great experience to see the real Cairo

Zainab was amazing as a guide. She is very knowledgable and speaks great english. She will tailor whatever you wanted to see on the trip and will give you a great experience on all the included items. I had a great time and she showed me a lot of the city and it's real feel.

Amazing experiencie

The guide was amazing!! Hesham Mohmed is really kind and always makes you feel confortable. The museum is amazing, altough there is a lot of people and there is no air conditioner, the time spent there is really valuable. Also the car driver was an amazing driver in the crazy Cairo.

Perfect way to start my trip

I booked this tour solo for my first day in Cairo, and it was absolutely perfect!!! My guide, Sayed, was very knowledgeable and super nice. He told me about the history of Egypt and Cairo as I expected, but he also made time to tell me about Egyptian culture and some good places to eat. I felt very welcome and taken care of, and I learned so much during the tour. I can not recommend this tour enough, especially for your first time in the city.

The tour was fantastic! My tour guide, Mahmoud Anwar, did an exceptional job of explaining all the history of the sites in this tour and introducing me to great local food in between. Two thumbs up from me!

Old Cairo and museum

We liked the trip a lot. The museum was unique and full of beautiful artifacts. Coptic Cairo surprised us, we didn’t expect such nice place. Our guide told us interesting stories about this place. We had a trip with lunch. Lunch was in local restaurant, we like sitting under the tree eating food and observing people the street.

Family private visit to Egyptian Museum Coptic Christian Cairo and old Market with our Spanish-speaking guide. The guide picked us up at the scheduled time close to our hotel. The visit consisted of exploring Coptic area, the old cairo market and the Egyptian Museum. The guide spoke good Spanish and told us many interesting things in his explanations. Perhaps in the museum there were moments of overinformation about the dynasties, pharaohs and others. In general we liked the experience very much, maybe I would eliminate the visit to the market because it is just stores to sell to tourists.

We went on a day tour with Essam and had a great time! He was very knowledgeable about the Egyptian Museum and went into great detail about a variety of the artifacts there and the history of Egypt. We only had 3 hours there which is not enough time to see everything but he was patient and answered all our questions. We then stopped for some delicious juice and went to Coptic Christian Cairo. We went to the hanging church and St. George’s church. We then had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Nile. Afterwards we went to the old market. We enjoyed learning about the history there and Essam did a great job of navigating the vendors. We then got dropped off at our hotel. In all, Essam did a great job and we had a great time.

Egyptian Civilization Museum and Market Tour

We got paired with Essam from Emo tours to go visit the Egyptian museum as well as the market downtown. One of my favorite parts about the whole trip. Essam was super knowledgeable about everything in the museum and even helped us bargain for items in the market. Don't hesitate to use them, ask for ESSAM!

Our guide deserves 5 stars, he was very informative. The Market just shouldn’t be a part of this tour. Maybe they should offer an option to choose something else.

Sayed’s hospitality can’t be beat!

Sayed Mahmoud did a fantastic job of showing us all around Old Cairo and the Egyptian Museum. He organized our day in such a way that we successfully beat the crowds everywhere we went. He was very knowledgeable about all the places and things we were seeing and explained everything completely, all while making sure we were having fun too. He constantly was checking in to make sure we were comfortable, having a great time, and was quick to take care of any needs we had. He took time out to share with us Egyptian culture and foods and always made sure any vendors were treating us fairly. He was also sure to point out all the best photo spots along the way. Sayed is constantly going beyond the requirements of the job and his hospitality shines through the entire day! He will leave you feeling like you’ve made a new friend in Egypt!

Don’t miss this tour in Cairo

Our guide, Khalid, was an incredible source of knowledge on all things Egypt. A licensed and certified Egyptologist he was full of fascinating facts in the artifacts in the museum, churches and synagogues. He was charming and we shared many laughs over the day. His driver, Mena, was professional and courteous; always opening and closing my wife’s door for her. Traffic in Cairo is like nothing we’ve seen in our life but despite charging cars, pedestrians simply walking into traffic, buzzing motorcycles he was calm and composed. We spent around 3 hours in the Egyptian Museum and Khalid navigated us to all the important and not to be forgotten artifacts always explaining in great detail it’s history. Onto Old Cairo where we visited a store that specializes in essences and oils. Then later we visited the Papyrus store where we saw how they make papyrus. Fascinating stuff! The merchants are exceedingly hospitable and there is no pressure to buy. From there we went to the Hanging Church and visited a beautiful mosque. We also saw the tombs of King Farouk and the late Shah of Iran. Lunch was on a large boat in the Nile and was quite enjoyable both for the food and the conversation with our guide. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk with a purpose. We really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this tour.

Amazing cairo city tour (Egyptian museum, Citadelle, Mosque and market)

My boyfriend and I did the Cairo city tour (Egyptian museum, Citadelle, Mosque and market). Our driver, and our tour guide Essam were both so nice and hospitable. We had such a fun day, learned a lot and got to see so much. This tour is a must do, I ABSOLUTELY recommend!

A Great Intro to Cairo

The day tour of Old Cairo and the Egyptian Museum was perfect for our first day in Egypt. Our guide, Sayed Mahmoud, was considerate, flexible, and very knowledgeable. Our driver, Abdo, amazed us with his skills navigating the notorious Cairo traffic. The Emo vans are extremely comfortable. Sayed continually made sure we were getting our questions answered, and he went out of his way to satisfy our every need. We finished the day’s activities with a relaxing sunset felluca ride on the Nile. This tour with Sayed is one we highly recommend!

Great tour and amazing experience.

This tour was awesome. The visit to the Christian neighborhood was an incredible experience. The visit to the bazaar was great because my tour guide allowed me to spend my time walking and shopping around with freedom. He gave me a couple of advices and we decided to meet after some time, I did not have the pressure to go to any store and I was able to purchase whatever I wanted. The visit to the Egyptian museum was really nice but you can see they are preparing everything to be move to the new museum. My guide tour was knowledgeable and patient and I appreciated.

Amazing Tour of Cairo with Sayed Mahmoud

In one word: "Tamaem", means 'perfect' in Egypt. Our guide Sayed was incredible, very highly recommended if you can book him. He was more than happy to teach us Egyptian Arabic throughout the day, anytime we asked. Arrived at the hotel on time, his English is well developed, humble and his character is of very high quality. Our driver Ahmed was amazing, given Egyptian driving styles, felt very safe the whole day and always collected us from each place with no problems. Sayed's knowledge on Ancient Egypt and Islam is impressive, he is a walking encyclopedia and his passion for these subjects is addictive. Spending time with him in the Egyptian Museum and Citadel was an honour! Sayed made sure we were comfortable the entire day, was always helpful with photos and made sure to inform us on local customs. He even bought us tea at a local cafe. If we return to Cairo, we will be booking with Sayed and Ahmed again for sure. Shukran!!

Pleasant Cairo

The visit to the Citadel, the Coptic area and the Egyptian Museum were excellent and it was an eye opening experience. The lunch by the Nile was a great addition. Special thanks to our guide Mamdouh Kamal and chauffeur Yasine were taking care of us and helping us make the best use of our time. It's a bit cold in January so dress warm and try to take a weekend tour to avoid traffic.

Fantastic day in Cairo

I loved the local markets and walking in the alleys and having authentic local food and mint tea. Just soaking in the ambience. My guide Issam was very polite, courteous, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about ancient history and gave me a very detailed tour which.i loved. I would highly recommend him!

This is a must do in Cairo!

Very important tour, a must when visiting Cairo as you go to the museum first and our guide Issam was great and exceeded expectations when providing historical details from Egypt. Later we went to the market and he even help us negotiate souvenirs and guide us about price. Lunch was great (buffet style ) and then we visited the Church; this hanging Church is full of historical details and Issam knew them all. I do recommend to be ready to walk, take a cap or hat and water.

Best tour and best guide!

We had an amazing time with Ehab Hoba on our tour of the museum, Coptic Cairo, and khan el Khalili. He was super kind and so knowledgeable. It was truly a pleasure to spend the day with him. He was very patient with us and let us stop and take photos everywhere. He was the best and can’t wait to come back and do other tours with him.

Enjoyed my day

I enjoyed my day with Ali. The Museum visit was very fun and informative. Ali helped me to buy some souvenir in a local shop with a reasonable price. The Coptic visit was average. This tour is advertised as a 8 hrs tour, but technically there is not enough stops and material more than 3-4 hrs for a solo visitor. So 8 hours is including launch, and chit chat of large groups. Viator and TripAdvisor should fix this as in other countries the duration of tours are more accurate. I deduct 1 star because of the tour manager. He contacted me before the tour happens and told me that he will tell me who will be my tour guide and also give me some info about PCR tests. However, he didn't respond any of my texts till the day after because "was sleeping". so I got lucky that i didnt rely on him for my PCR test. for some weird reasons, he doesnt give you the contact info of the tour guy, so again I got lucky that I came back to hotel early after my breakfast as my tour guide was waiting for me in the lobby and I had no idea that he has arrived. Overall I am happy with the tour, it could be a bit cheaper.

Cairo, Luxor hurghada emo tour with

spent 3 nights in cairo, 3 in luxor , 3 in hurghada. I travelled with me and wife and 3 kids. We visited giza pyramids, memphis and sakarya, cairo by night, luxor valley of the kings , and amazing temples, Big thanks to Ahmed, Omer, Abdul our tour guides. All spoke great english and very knowledgeable. We were able to leave kids i. the car with trusted driver.

This tour was excellent, the driver Ahmed Aboelkheir was amazing, very profesional and safe...help us a lot and very flexible, we start the day with him waiting for us in the lobby of our hotel very puntual and relax the most that I like was he's a real human, thinking about us. Must do tour to explore the istoric part of Cairo

We were the most fortunate to have Mahmoud Al Wakeel as our guide for this day full of history. Not only is he the most knowledgeable guide we ever had, giving good explanations for everything, but he is a great person to be around. He also offered us glimpses of history whenever crossing a building or street in Cairo. We wanted to take a little walk in Tharir Square and he was so kind to come with us, to make sure that we are safe. He also took us for a coffee at a nice place in Khan el Khalili, called El Fishawy (we recommend it).

MUST DO tour, Cairo is Dangerous Driving and Crowded at times, can get easily lost!!!

a full day of historic places and locations throughout Cairo. We started our full day of adventure by being picked up from our Hotel at Mena House and visited places like the Nile, the old Egyptian Museum as the new one is still under construction where our Guide Mohamed really shone thorough with knowledge and we were taught about the different kings, kingdoms and time frames, he knew everything and answered every question i had in the most utmost detailed fashion. From there our trip focused on Coptic Cairo which I believe Coptic means Egyptian Christian, we visited several ancient churches including Abu Serga, Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Virgin Mary Church, and the Hanging Church, we then proceeded to have lunch at a local and quite quaint little restaurant( try the soup), as we were satiated and hydrated we proceeded to head out back to one of the Souqs or old market.
