Rainforest River Tubing from Cairns

A great experience!

What an awesome afternoon we had on our river tubing activity. We had a small group - only 8 of us with two guides - Kyle and Jay. The equipment was great and safety was an obvious priority throughout the afternoon. We had an amazing experience as we tubed down the river with some excitement during the small rapids and a peaceful and relaxing time during the quite areas of the river. What a beautiful location! I wish it went longer. Our only regret was not taking our gopro as the guides did not take many photos during our trip which was disappointing as we would have loved to have these as memories of our great time on the river.

Nice blend of excitement and relaxation

Unique experience, maybe 5-6 rapids on our tour which provided a bit of a rush, the rest was pretty chill. Fantastic way of viewing the rainforest and it’s wildlife. Guides were great, they provided clear instructions and helped people select the right safety gear, as well as getting in and out of their tubes. Had over an hour on the water which I thought was good. Do recommend.

Tubing fun

Thanks to Jay and Kay for a fun day tubing on the river. We were novice "tubber" and felt comfortable floating down the river and even going through the small rapids, knowing both of our guides were close by to assist.

Amazing rainforest and river experience

The hosts were amazing, felt safe and secure whilst having fun....incredible. would highly recommend to anyone visiting Cairns.

Great day out

Lots of safe fun. Great tour guides and well planned. Water was a bit cold but it was still fun. Great for all ages.

Recommended Activity

The tour operators were fantastic, both girls were friendly and very knowledgeable. Took care to make sure everyone was safe throughtout the mornings tubing experience. Only downside is that Viator listed pick up time at 7am on all our documentation from our pickup point. The actual pickup time from the tour company was 7.50am, so we sat outside for am hour waiting for no reason. .So id be checking pickup timevwith actuall tour company not go on what Viatpr sata.

Had the best time! Went with my mates over the Easter break and the whole experience was well managed. Definitely recommend and must do activity!

A great half day tour!

Not exciting, too short

Not exciting at all, the trip was tooo short. The tubing plan was changed to rafting, and it was no fun:(((((( The staff were sweet tho, but didn’t worth it

Fun and chill

I went tubing as I had a spare day and looking for something different. I was expecting just a relaxing glide down a river but I was really happy to discover that while it IS that, it is also a bit of excitement with some rapids to overcome. They were not too threatening but enough to make it an exciting ride that is fun for the beginners and experienced. The team of 3 experienced facilitators were very informative and were always there to help and guide us. So despite the rapids, everyone always seemed to feel safe. It is it worth doing. Hopefully I can try the rafting next :)

Awesome experience for the family

It was an awesome experience and my 6 year old just enjoyed it. It’s a must do thing while in cairns !! All the crews were wonderful. Just after my recent heart surgery I was not sure of how it would go. But it in the end it was an awesome experience !!!

Beautifully stunning & fun

All Aussie crew who were lovely. The recent flooding made the river too high to rubber ring so instead of cancelling us we went rafting which was fun!!

Tubing

We rafted due to weather instead of tubing but what sooooo fun and the tour guides were extremely fun and friendly and had so much energy made the experience so much more delightful

Great experience with great team

It was amazing experience with the great weather and perfect water temperature. Mix of adventure and relaxing feeling going down the river on a tube. The two guides Kei and Kris was very professional, entertaining, and made the experience extra memorable and enjoyable.

Fun morning on the river…..

Our family of 4 (with two kids) loved the adventure. We tubed through some class 2 rapids, which was enough for our group. Our guides, Liv and Kate, were fantastic. Would definitely do again the next time we are in town.

Awesome tour and super nice guides. We booked the night before and were concerned about getting processed on time but everything went smoothly. All stars 🌟

River tubing in FNQ is a must do!

What a great morning! It was over too quickly!!!! The water was amazing. Just enough rapids to keep it interesting but not make it a white knuckle river trip! The team of guides were great. Great patience and helpful when getting stuck! Highly recommend.

Great, fun activity in the river

Tubing was a great way to travel down a rainforest river while soaking in the views (and the water). As always, safety is given its utmost consideration and there are a sufficient number of guides for the number of people. Life jackets are provided and the river is shallow at almost all points so this is a good activity even if you are not a confident swimmer. A bit of an arm workout when the current is slow, however, there is plenty of time to take a break and relax.

A really fun time

The staff were amazing a credit to the company .They clearly love there job and they made the experience so much better because they were helpful friendly and understanding. Everyone has different ability and it was clear they were aware and ready to help.Tubing is so much fun and really worth trying. I had a beautiful morning, thanks to the great staff.

Fun for families

Greet for the family or ones who can’t swim or not a massive thrill seeking rapids although relaxing and fun. Water handout midway at the bridge would be ideal minimise dehydration.

Fun day on the river - loved the little swimming hole they took us to and an opportunity to jump off a small bridge. Easy pick up/drop off.

Best experience in cairns

We were a family of 4 and we brought our sons 11 and 8. They loved it! We had the best time. It was well organised. The guides were awesome. I would highly recommend for families.

Rainforest rafting

Great experience rafting through the rainforest. Make sure you have good gripping shoes either hired or your own as the stones are really slippery.

Exhilarating!

Exhilarating 1/2 day tubing, the water temperature was perfect and the rapids were just the right for tubing through the rainforest. Absolutely delightful trip.

Great experience

First time doing tubing and I loved it !!! They picked you up from the destination and when we got there it was so much fun !!! The tour guide was a bit hard to understand but that's okay, he was still great. I did end up being the first to capsize, it did hurt but because you're riding above the rocks however, they give you great advice, like to hold your legs up. They also stayed back to make sure I was okay and helped me back on. The group we had was so fun !! They were so nice and we all helped eachother out. Beautiful views all around and an overall great time.

Exciting way to explore the rapids

We had a lovely morning cruising down the rapids. Our guides were knowledgeable and helpful. We were picked up and dropped off local to our hotel. Warning though, lots of walking along slippery rocks! Definitely recommend.

Great experience!

The guides were great, really laid back. We had a small group so was a great opportunity to take a relaxed look at the river, with a few rapids thrown in! We have teen and pre-teen kids and they really enjoyed it.

Best Morning Ever

Up there as one of the best experiences

Had the absolute best time! The water was so calm and not too scary but just the right amount of small “rapids” for fun. The guys running it were super lovely and made an effort to have a chat and a laugh to make us feel comfortable. I felt safe the whole time. Highly recommend.

Blissful Fun

Our group had a super fun day on the tubes. The guides were excellent and the morning went very smoothly. The location and river itself was stunning - just the right balance of fun with the mini rapids and gentle floating to take in the spectacular scenery. The water temperature wasn't a problem, even in the morning. Thanks to the team who put together this brilliantly fun activity.

Lovely, relaxing fun adventure!

What a fun experience this was! Right from pick up through to drop off! Riley was just really nice, polite and friendly, as well as being very informative and helpful with anything we asked. Both he and Ash made us feel welcome and comfortable. We would do this again if we came back to Cairns! Thank you for a lovely morning adventure. 😁
