The water falls and the fig trees and the violets were beautiful. The ant hills were fantastic. The trip was excellent in all areas.

Michelle gave us an amazing tour with my family! She was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable! She helped when I started to feel sick, was flexible with our touring itinerary, and overall shared a ton of information about Australia/Cairns. It was such a unique experience and so much fun.

Steve was great! We didn’t have a lot of time in Cairns, so I booked the private half-day tour for my two adult, sons and myself. I am so glad I did! We saw highlights of the geography learned about the flora and fauna, and had a generally fantastic fun afternoon experience.

Amazing Tour!

The guide Jean was really nice and he knows everything you need to know about the forest! The tour was amazing, with some great views of the forest and waterfalls!! I really recommend the tour for everyone!! We could also see some Wallabies near by! Great memories!

Great trip!

Our guide, Steve, was awesome and very knowledgeable about the tour and country as a whole. It is a very unique trip that allows you to experience the more suburban parts of Australia. My family greatly enjoyed the excursion and would definitely recommend!!

Absolutely amazing

This tour is amazing picked up and returned to accomodation train up to rainforest lunch at the pub best hamburgers I’ve ever had stroll around markets people friendly and welcoming skyrail back was thrilling do yourself a favour try this you won’t be disappointed

Family adventure in Cairns

My daughters and I did the half day 4wd tour of the rainforest and waterfalls. We were picked up at our hotel and spent the next 4.5 hrs viewing waterfalls and beautiful landscapes. Steve our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. We really enjoyed the tropical fruit tasting as well. Highly recommend this tour.

Brilliant Tour

Wow I was lucky enough to experience this amazing tour of the world’s oldest heritage rainforest I experienced this lush rainforest with beautiful creeks weaving through the terrain with gorgeous water falls and there was also board walk around one the oldest fig trees in world and to my surprise at the end of the board walk our wonderful tour guide Steve had a picnic basket prepared with tea & coffee and fresh Anzac biscuits it was a wonderful little treat to be able to enjoy a cuppa with this amazing fig tree in the rainforest, but with this tour you will also see Kuranda “before the tourists arrive” the far north farming region and our amazing outback. What made this tour so special and different from other tours was the simple fact they cater for small private groups and our tour guide Steve was truly amazing with his wealth of knowledge of the region and the forna was exceptional, he went out of his way to accommodate everyone’ s requests of things they wanted to see and do, and this is the only tour that I have been on that you have the flexibility to do that, and we were a group of 4 which was fantastic and when you visit sites there is no one else around because it is a heritage site there are only a couple of passes a year given out to tour companies so it is still in prestine condition, with only your little group. Overall this tour is a must see not only for tourists but for locals as well I have lived here for over 25 years and I there were so many places that I never knew existed on our tour today so a big thank you to everyone at Discovery Tours for giving taking pride in giving guests such a unique experience. Great Tour with a great Guide!

We very recently did the "Word Heritage Rainforest and Waterfall Tour from Cairns", and certainly the scenery was spectacular..... but the combination of scenary and exceptionality of the guide made a package truly beyond our expectations. We were met at the Airport by our guide Warren, and he was our host for the rest of the day. It is always a pleasure to meet a professional who knows and loves his job. His excitement was contagious, so that we spent close to 6 hours in a permanent state of learning and admiration of all the beauties of the region We were a family of 5 and we truly recomend the Tour.... especially if your guide is Warren!

Fabulous tour off the beaten path to see the Rainforest and much more

We did the half day tour with wonderful guide Steve. He shared many important details about the rainforest, very knowledgeable and helpful. We stopped just the right amount to help us appreciate this wonderful part of Cairns away from the busy bus tours. After spending most of the day in the Rainforest, we visited Barron Falls. The van and ride was very comfortable ending with tea/coffee and treats beneath a giant strangling fig tree. We had a wonderful day in our group of 6 with Steve.

Best way to see Cairns in half a day

We had half a day as we had to take our flight back to Sydney 4pm. So we started early at 7 am from our hostel. Our guide cum driver Mr. John was a great knowledgeable warm host. We were first drove to the city top and the lake which supplies the water to the city. A good coffee with cookies were served to us. Next we drove inside the restricted area of rain forest and saw some of the oldest and huge ferns , red Penda tree, the to dinden national park , clohesy fig tree. We then also went to surprise waterfall though October was wrong time to visit that as water was very less. But still the place was beautiful. We also saw Barron waterfall and saw the famous kurunda rail. As we had a flight back so John dropped us at Cairns botanical garden to spend some time before we catch our flight. Had a great day with John seeing Cairns.

Best tour ever

What an amazing tour this was. Our driver Mick really showed us the best places. We expected to have a nice trip with some small 4x4 part. But this trip was super. Mick showed us the nice rain forest and the dry forest. We really had 2 hours or more 4x4 on small paths. We had the best guidance. Nice to see the beautiful forest with a good explanation.

Beautiful tour with a nice guide

A rainforest half day tour close to Cairns with surprisingly places to visit. Our guide was an experienced naturalist who explained us about wildlife and history of the area. Ideal to spend half day when you arrive or leave Cairns and have some unplanned hours.
