Awesome experience

We all had a sensational time. The service was impeccable and the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Enjoyed standing on the top deck taking happy snaps of the beautiful scenery.

The customer service was excellent. I celebrated my 40th birthday - with birthday table setup. They also surprised me with birthday cake onboard. The food was great with wide selections. Highly-recommended!

No sunset, this happened prior to departure, but was lovely cruise. Nice food selection and drinks too. Would go again.

An ok experience and something different to do, but unlikely to do again

The weather wasn't the best however, this did not dampen our mood and we arrived in time to sit and prepare to depart. The buffet meal was ok, but the hot food section was not hot (we questioned whether the heaters were on and apparently they were), plus my wife felt the oysters weren't fresh (she was the only one who ate them from our group). Lights at night were good to look at when we were out in the bay.

Great boat, good staff, poor food for non seafood eater, bit long, woud be better as daylight cruise.

Good meal something different for dinner

Not o much of a view as it was raining. Meal was ok good range foe all we booked last minute given a side table but there were free tables once we set sail which i think we could have been moved to but weren't but it was a good time anyway

Repetitive Cruise

I mean.. I can’t complain. It was exactly what’s listed. 2 1/2 hours is WAY too long. The cruise went back and forth about 6 times down the canal. Not much to see after the first and second pass. If you have a dead day in cairns go for it, but I’d recommend going out for dinner and controlling when you wanna leave

A Rainey Night in Cairns

Unfortunately our experience was marred by horrible weather with torrential rain. That being said the ship was very nice and the crew was hospital and attentive once we boarded. We misinterpreted the tour, since it was listed on Viator we expecte a tourist inspired journey through the harbor with dialog of the area and history, instead we found it was really a romantic cruise. There was no narration and after cruising the harbor for several times through the rain Cairns harbour is not all that picturesque. We had dinner and again the staff was excellent and the food presented was first quality if only it was hotter all would have been much better. What was delivered was as promised but I wish the description of the cruise on a tourist website would have been clearer. After 2 hours cruising the same route we docked and we’re ready to leave.

Over all good experience

Firstly, shout out to Ben our waiter. What a lovely young man. Great sense of humour. All staff very attentive. Food was great. Only have one negative, not being a cairns local, getting to correct boat was a very wet challenge as it was raining . Adding a map to dock location would have been great. When we boarded we asked the captain for a towel or something to dry off as we were soaked! He said they didn't have anything. Took the staff to give us a heap of napkins to help us out.

Disappointing experience for Christmas lunch

I rarely post a negative review but I feel in this instance this really has to be brought to the operators attention. We attended the Christmas Day lunch cruise at $250 per head. It was disappointing to say the least that to start with the air-conditioning on board the boat wasn't working and every single guest was begging for something to be done. If it was faulty, either fix it or cancel the cruise as it was verging on causing health risks, it was getting so hot. Every guest was visibly distressed and drenched in sweat. When the cooler option is to stand outside in 36 degree heat in the sun, that says alot. As it was a Christmas Day lunch cruise I expected it to at least be decorated in a Christmas theme. Small reindeer in the windows just didn't make for a festive environment. Again, for a Christmas Day lunch, I would have expected some effort in making the boat a bit more festive. The food was average, I'm really sorry to say. It certainly wasn't value for money and it certainly wasn't comfortable on board. The journey itself didn't venture anywhere it was advertised to go. I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone unless a major overhaul is undertaken....as it so badly needs.

This was my second time attending this cruise. First on a date and the second for a work Christmas party. I recommend it to everyone! It's just relaxing, and the staff are always so polite. The food is awesome and it's just a nice change of scenery.

Sensational Cairns Sailing

The night was amazing.From the beginning to the end.The food was excellent.The Staff were so friendly.I would highly recommend this to anyone coming to Cairns.

Amazing dinner cruise

The scenery and lights were beautiful but best of all the food was excellent. Plenty of variety and a buffet with seafood, chicken, noodles and a variety of salads. Desserts were scrumptious. Great set up and staff were super efficient and very friendly.

Do not recommend

The dinner cruise was cancelled last minute and we were not notified. We only learned of it when we were at the dock and called 5 mins prior to departure. Will not be recommending this experience to anyone. They also insisted that they let us know but they were several people waiting and no one had received a communication

Don’t waste your time or money

The staff didn’t seem to be trained that well, we had to send back drinks twice. As did many other guests near us. The ‘cruise’ was just sailing up & down the marina for 2 hours which was boring. Not much to do after eating. A table near us had a birthday & they brought out the cake 10 mins before docking so they couldn’t enjoy it. Waste of money

Don’t waste your time & money

I would’ve rather spent $200 on pretty much anything else. You just sail up & down the cairns marina for 2 hrs. The staff seemed untrained, we ended up not paying for our drinks because it was just vodka & tap water. I seen a lot of people sending back drinks. Also bringing out someone’s birthday cake while docking really is pointless.

Not worth the money

Not sure. It was just overall a little boring and disappointing. It was hard to find our vessel, and a disappointing cruise in general. Food was okay - staff were wonderful. Can't really add much more.

We had a superb evening....

We had a superb evening. Perfect conditions on the water for cruising and a first class crew that made sure that we were well looked after. The buffet was of a very high standard. Would most definitely recommend the experience.

Great people and food!

The crew was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious with special note given to the calamari and the au gratin potatoes. We had a very pleasant evening.

Going in circles in Cairns

The cruise started good with a sunset and nice breeze. The food was not very good, slim pickings if you did not like seafood. The desserts were good. We drove in small circles around the inlet for a couple hours often going slower than the current. We kept smelling our own exhaust. I was starting to get dizzy and nauseous. It almost seemed like they were trying to conserve gas?? We finally said something to one of the crew and asked what was going on. She said she would check. Shortly after this the ship headed out of the inlet into the bay and it was beautiful for the last 1/2 hour. We don't recommend.

Fantastic Cruise

What a wonderful cruise and dinner this is we have now done this three times it has been wonderful every time. Would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone traveling to Cairns

Ok.

We did the dinner cruise last week, we had a beautiful clear night but didnt see the sunset as the cruise seems to be a little late to catch it. We found the buffet meal was reasonable but not exceptional and for the cost tea and coffee should be included in the price. The other big disappointment is that there is no entertainment only background music which is a real minus. We did a 2.5hr dinner river cruise in Bangkok that had a small band, people up dancing to Abba songs etc and the vibe was just so much better, so overall pleasant enough but wouldn't bother again.

Wonderful evening cruise

Beautiful evening cruise and the food was lovely! The crew was very attentive and it was a very relaxing evening spent on the water. The views of the city were really lovely!

Good dinner cruise.

The food was excellent. I observe a gluten-free diet and there were a lot of choices for me. The staff were friendly and helpful. The seating was great, comfortable. Lots of photo opportunities.

Great way to experience beautiful cairns during this sunset cruise.

Dont always believe in all negative reviews as this experience exceeded our expectations, the staff/crew were exceptional. You will be greated will large smiles from the crew with a complimentary beverage (of your choice) as soon as you board. The food was a buffet like set up (in which i cannot fault) large variety of tastey foods and to finish with multiple yummy deserts. This was a wonderful experience to see beautiful cairns at night, cruising just offshore. Highly recommend if you visit cairns.

Worth the price of admission!

We arrived early and were allowed on the catamaran at exactly 6:30pm. The catamaran was nice, and we were greeted with a drink. The food was really good and plentiful. It was left out for the majority of the cruise. My husband said it was the best calamari he had ever had, and he's had a lot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only negative was that we went in late August and the sun was pretty much set, before we left the harbor. That of course was bad timing, not anything that the crew could have changed. I would definitely do this again!

Rename to ‘food hall on a catamaran’ not sunset dinner cruise

Amazing staff worked so hard the entire time but certainly shouldn’t be advertised as a sunset cruise when it departs the same time as actual sunset! We found there were far too many people (75) and it just felt like it was a packed food hall. Overpriced for the experience of going out a little and then up and down the river looking at a cargo ship. There was limited viewing of anything when we had to go inside to be seated for dinner.

Fantastic Cruise

What a wonderful evening the cruise was great. We had a great meal the captain and crew were excellent. We would recommend this to anyone who visits Cairns and we will definitely be doing this next time we come to Cairns.

Oh what a night

What an awesome night and a fabulous way to start our holiday in cairns. The boat is large and don’t worry if the weather isn’t the best. Dining is inside. We were fortunate to spend some time on deck both forward and rear and that was wonderful. There is even a lounge upstairs undercover. The food was delicious and plentiful, diners were able to get up and have 2/3 servings. (I recommend the oysters). Staff were very friendly and ensured all we’re having a good time. Very highly recommended

Sunday Dinner Cruise Cairns

The Catamaran was spacious with plenty of room to move. Unfortunately the departure time meant we missed the sunset. Complimentary drink on arrival was a great start. Comfortable seating Great service, especially with the at table beverage service and one bill on completion of the cruise The buffet had great variety for dinner and dessert. Fresh prawns and oysters were amazing. My partner and I enjoyed this dinner cruise.

Very poor business practice.

The Cairns Luxury Catamaran Harbor and Dinner Cruise was booked through your business. I made request for a change in date for this cruise. I did not receive a reply for this request from your business. I contacted the local provider upon arrival at accommodation in Cairns. First, the local provider had technical difficulties. When I was finally able to speak to a local customer service operator of the local operator, I was informed that the cruise was fully booked. With bookings for forward travel, I could not book another available cruise. I requested a refund for the cruise from your business. To date, I have not received a reply. All in all, very poor business practice.

Relaxed evening dining.

A very enjoyable evening cruising along the foreshore of Cairns. A very good range of food and very helpful staff. If I had one slight disappointment it was that I wish we could have left earlier and perhaps enjoyed a sunset ( weather permitting of course) over the water. In saying that there may be a reason this is not done?

The staff were very hospitable on our arrival and that continued throughout the evening. The meal was good but being a lover of seafood I would have preferred a little more, 3 oysters was not enough and the prawns were frozen and very watery when peeling and eating them. A little disappointing as far as the seafood section was concerned. Overall, the evening was most enjoyable and I would recommend it to others.

Great cruise if you don’t want to eat

What a dissatisfying night we had . We had 3 couples on this dinner cruise the service and staff were amazing so accomodating with everything you needed great drinks too . Then there’s the food which I would rate 1 out of 100 it was disgusting 🤢 We were so disappointed walked along to food unlabled moussaka had run out so they replaced it with processed frozen arancini balls then when you got to the so called PRAWNS which I would call shrimps they were rationed out by a staff member 3 per person and 2 oysters which were inedible . Desert was Sara lee cake pieces fruit and bits of cheese cut up came home hungry and really annoyed at the money we wasted

Disappointing second time around

We did this tour 7 years ago on the Spirit of Cairns so I was looking forward to doing this again. Weather was not the best and very windy with rain threatening. There was a delay on the boarding time of about 10 minutes and with the weather was not ideal. Once aboard we received our complimentary drink and were seated. The food choices were not as great as last time, and as someone who does not eat seafood, there was only a couple of menu items left by the time we could go to the buffet. The dessert menu was very good though and plenty of different choices. As we were only a table of 2 we found getting table service to order a drink impossible. I had to go chase down another girl after waiting an hour with an empty glass and no water available as other tables had. Other than that, we did enjoy the cruise and the views of Cairns lit up at night but disappointed unable to go outside due to the weather.

Recommend

From the time we boarded until the time we disembarked it was a lovely experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly with excellent customer service. The buffet was very good, BUT the prawns had been frozen, not fresh. The oysters though were very nice but went quickly and not replenished so you had to be quick. Up on deck the views at night were lovely even with it so cool. Recommended.

Meh

This cruise was included as part of a tour package I booked. The cruise takes you along the Cairns city coast and offers a buffet dinner (+one complementary drink, and then beverages for purchases). I found it really boring, since there isn't much to see along the waterfront, and the food was just ok. Might be fun with a large group of friends and lots of alcohol though.

Company of other holiday...

Company of other holiday traveler's, food was poorly managed and not to the standard we expected by the time it was our time to get our meal it was cold and very little left , then when we went back for a second serve there was nothing at all left we have done dinners cruises in Hamilton island Tasmania Sydney Harbour I appreciate it’s not fine dinning but the food was plentiful and fairly distributed with staff stationed at the buffet table .with that this is not a reflection on the staff themselves as they were friendly at all times
