Amazing couple of hours on the trip, loads of whales heaps of interesting information from the marine biologist on board and a smooth ride out in the comfortable boat. Great work team!!!

Don't Hesitate to go!

Best ever whale watching experience that I have been on, and I have been on a few elsewhere . Smaller boat enables everyone to have a viewing advantage whether sitting or standing. Warm wet gear clothing supplied so don't layer up yourself ; as well as safety harness but it's the whales! The humpback whales we saw were so active. We followed 5 of them for about an hour. Absolutely fantastic to see them breaching and hear them breathe so close. Don't hesitate, book and go, you won't regret it

An unforgettable experience!

An absolutely incredible experience. We saw so many whales spouting, breaching and doing corkscrews. We even saw a baby whale calf. Very capable skippering by Angus and informative commentary from Emily. Boat was very comfortable and stable. All in all, a fabulous experience and one of the highlights of our Australian tour!

Excellent!!

Heaps of whales! Crew were brilliant and really knew their stuff! Marine biologist Alice was amazing and so very passionate! Boat driver Dean was very cool and steered us in the right direction - kudos to you both xx

Excellent tour

Emily and Angus were excellent tour leaders! Very informative and very safe and lots of whales to see. Thankful for the ponchos on our cold morning.

Whale watching

Best whale watching experience of my life. So many whales and so close to them. Witnessed multiple breaches. At one point they were right under the boat and you could hear them singing under water

Great Whale experience

It was a fantastic experience, we witness a number of breeches by the whales (were told we are fortunate to witness that, we also have two whales that swam under our boats. The skipper Gabrielle was very knowledgeable and kept us informed about the whales throughout the journey

Fantastic cruise so many whales!! The skipper was brilliant as was the marine biologist Mas her knowledge was invaluable as we witnessed so many exciting breaches of these beautiful creatures. Coming back into the river mouth was smooth and demonstrated clearly the skippers experience. Thanks for making memories today

Highly recommended whale watching experience

We had a fantastic trip! From the seating and ponchos provided, to the expert sailing and live marine biologist commentary, it was a wonderful experience. That were many whales to see and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended.

It’s alway spectacular!

Another fabulous adventure! We saw so many beautiful whales doing their thing , they really put on a show for us . Every time we go on an Out of the Blue adventure it’s different and each time it’s spectacular and very informative.

WOW

WOW. What a day, incredible experience seeing the whales up close. A great boat with fantastic skipper Angus that gets you up close to the whales along with a very knowledgeable guide (sorry I can’t remember her name) makes this a must do at Cape Byron. Photographs just don’t do the experience justice. In the area get this booked, 2 hours of non stop whale watching.

Wow what an amazing experience this was. Our guides Emily and Angus were so professional and knowledgeable about the whales and seeing them so close is just life changing. Definitely worth it.

Awesome experience….so many whales!

The views were amazing! There were whales everywhere and they even interacted with the boat. Feeling very privileged to have had such an amazing experience. Emily and Angus were the ultimate hosts, impressive knowledge with Emily providing us with detailed information about the whales along the way felt very safe with Angus at the helm too!!

Out of the blue whale adventure

This is our second time aboard the whale boat and it was just as exceptional as the first Thanks to Dean the pilot for getting us out there and back safely and thank you Gabriel for your information on whales 🐋 I highly recommend that its definately a bucket list of to do's and a few more times 2 awsome day 👌🐳

We had a whale of a time!

What an incredible and fun experience we had from the initial enjoyment of the boat ride to seeing a multitude of whales. Also seeing the Dolphins was an extra special treat. For those sceptical as to whether you will see any whales or not, the crew on board are very knowledgeable and ensured we seen as many whales on our trip as possible - would highly recommend to all! Thanks again for the experience and memories!

Awesome!!

This was the best 2 hours ever. If you want to get up close and personal with humpback whales on the east coast of Australia in their natural habitat this is the trip to take. Staff - Angus and Gabriel were professional, knowledgeable and friendly ensuring everyone had a very satisfying experience. Absolutely worth it.

Premier Whale Watching

We had an amazing experience - saw so many whales. Gabby our guide was so full of information about the whales and was a joy to listen to. Angus the boat Captain was also amazing, the boat trip was just beautiful. We were lucky to be returning to Ballina later in the afternoon to see the sun starting to "go down". I absolutely, highly recommend Premier Whale Watching, you will not be disappointed !!

Whale watching is always fun

Right from the red weather proof coats, the wild ride through the heads, and the whales and dolphins, a fabulous trip. Gabrielle and Angus gave us an experience to remember. Angus guided the boat expertly and Gabrielle provided informative and responsive commentary. The whales played around us, wow.

Awesome whale adventure

GAdventures optional tour. Was the most amazing experience perhaps 10 whales breaching the surface. A professional and educated crew on the hump back whales and their habits. Thank you soooooo much!

Swim with turtles and wobbegong sharks

Great trip and great people, very informative, helpful and fun. So amazing to see turtles sharks and fish so close, made some great memories.

Underwater Magic in Byron Bay

Make sure you put this snorkeling trip to Julian Rocks "Nguthungulli" Nature Reserve on your Byron Bay bucket list. An exciting 20-minute boat ride with Out Of The Blue takes you to the dive spot where you will spend the next hour immersed in a unique ocean ecosystem and amazing underwater world. We swam with turtles, spied sharks (the cute kind) including the beautiful Leopard Shark and floated above a majestic white-spotted Eagle Ray while endless schools of curious fish circled us in a kaleidoscope of colours and shapes. Just when we thought the adventure was over and were headed for shore, we passed a pod of playful dolphins back-dropped by the lofty peak of Mount Warning ringed in cloud. Marine Life - see it while you can!!

Loved the boat, Out of the Blue Team were enthusiastic guides and the snorkelling was a great way to spend time in a beautiful marine reserve. We took photos with our eyes - sorry can’t share !! Beautiful marine life - iridescent colours - best way to spend time in this pocket of the world.

My day out on the water

Was very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, due to my age and limited walking abilities. The cruise was lovely. Really enjoyed myself

Amazing experience!

Amazing experience ! The staff were knowledgeable and the visibility was perfect Saw hundreds of fish, leopard sharks and turtles. It was quite choppy on the boat and in the water so seasickness tablets would have been a good idea !

Fantastic whale watching experience

Incredible experience this and well worth the drive down to Ballina. Lots of whale sighting’s and great information given throughout. The small numbers on board really allowed us to get great views and the most out of the experience. Even saw dolphins on the way back in Massive thank you to Gabby and Dean 🙏

Brilliant company for whale watching experience

What a privilege to be on this amazing trip! We were blessed to have a mother and calf stay with us for the whole time. The skipper Angus and the marine biologist, Emily were so skilled and knowledgeable, and such lovely people. Even in challenging conditions it was still an incredible experience. Highly recommended.

Incredible whale watch

We really had great experience and all crews were super supportive. There were few and shy whale in first location, so they put extra effort to take us other place we could see more whale. We were really enjoyed. Highly recommend this tour.

Hold your breath

The moment I Actually saw the Whales the mother and her calf happily swimming together popping above and below the waves the spray of water 💦 eminating from their blowholes.

Best whale watching trip

Excellent whale spotting trip, fantastic and knowledgeable guide and awesome captain. Boat was comfortable, felt safe at all times and the whales came so close to us you could see the barnacles! Thank you!

Lovely experience

Our marine biologist was very informative and captain handled the rough water perfectly, had a lovely two hour journey and enjoyed every second of it.

Funny, beautiful and interesting

The experience was amazing. We saw some whales (baby whale, female and male) and was amazing! I come with my mum who has been here to visiting me from Italy and she loved that! We also saw beautiful dolphins. The trip was funny and interesting due to all the informations that our marine biologist told us and due to the funny but responsible driving of the captain!

Great experience

A really lovely experience- after seeing whales around Byron Bay, I booked this pronto. We saw 4 whales… I think. The marine biologist told us three males were in pursuit of a female to breed. They sure move fast so we were in pursuit and was not disappointed by their tail slaps etc. We also saw many dolphins including a baby with its mum, we had been on a whale watching trip in NZ before but this was better. We loved every moment and despite being prone to seasickness I was fine on this trip. Loved it and would totally recommend.

A whale of a trip

We had a great trip with lots of sightings. The guide was very informative about the whale behaviours. The skipper took us directly to the whales and made us feel very safe on a windy return trip.

Incredible experience

We absolutely loved every minute! We were lucky enough to see a group of 4 whales and also a pod of dolphins even a mum and calf! Our marine biologist was so informative and friendly, how does someone retain so much information! We got some amazing photos and videos the whales were literally within arms length was an incredible experience thank you

Whale of a Day!

What an amazing experience. Two whales breaching, spy hopping and checking us out for the entire time. They were around the boat and curious. Excellent. It's my 6th adventure with OOTB this season. Highly recommend!

Such a great and informative whale watching tour! These creatures are absolutely beautiful… Very professional tour and very thorough when it comes to safety and providing a great experience for all. The boat is of a very high standard and felt very safe. Hearing the whales when out in ocean was absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful day. Early start. Loved every minute. Saw whales , not close but the experience was amazing. Go with no expectations as these amazing animals will do what they want to do. Enjoy . I did 👍

Professional whale watching with marine biologist

Very professional whale watching. Didn't chase the whales and still had many close up encounters with these beautiful giants. A marine biologist on board made sure you also learned heaps about the humpbacks and they had a sonographer to listen to the whales singing. Would highly recommend!

A perfect morning for whale watching with plenty about.

An early start, as we opted for the 7.15am tour. Well worth the effort, as we had several pods, and about 20 whales cruise past us as we drifted. Managed to get plenty of quality, close-up footage. Very fortunate to have them so close. I understand that nothing is guaranteed when you are dealing with wild animals, so consider ourselves fortunate. The OOTB team on our boat, Angus and Emily were very professional and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the experience. We would do it again for sure.

Great knowledge from the marine biologist on board, and we did get to see several humpback whales, some far in the distance, some much closer.

Fantastic morning out on the water watching the Humpback whales. Multiple whales came near the boat and played. Lots of tail fin action and got some wonderful videos.
