Perfect trip

Stunning! We arrived just after it opened and managed to get a sun bed each, it does get busy. Beautifully clean We stayed outdoors as it was a sunny day. The prices are a little expensive but totally worth it. We had a great time

Excellent Spa Day

A great at the spa after a hectic few days exploring the city. The whole area was clean, the water was amazing and the saunas and steam rooms were lovely to use. Loads of sun beds on offer, a handy tip is to bring your own towel and flip flops as they charge you a fortune to buy their own.

Had to pay twice for entry to this spa

Had to pay in twice as. they do not accept booking.com tickets even though they are for sale via booking.com. Only pay at the entrance, do not pay in advance. Staff had absolutely no interest in helping, pay up or leave even though we had valid tickets

Do not get your hopes high

If you book a five star hotel with spa option at Budapest then you can skip this experience. The thermal bath basically a heated pool. The indoor pools smell really bad. The outdoor pools are bearable but there are usually a lot of people in the weekends. Private cabin is better than a locker. Our tour included a complimentary palinka museum tour but we were told it was under construction so no tour. I wish we knew it before booking.

Excellent Experience

Our group of 12 had the best time enjoying the multiple baths, especially the outdoor ones, which are stunning.

What an amazing, therapeutic day in Budapest. The springs were amazing!! I was great to see people from all over the world and different cultures enjoy the bath.

Great Spa

Despite swim pool closed for repairs and trying to locate the changing cabin, enjoyed a few hrs trying out the various pools both inside & out. Not overtly crowded so managed to get a lounger. Sauna experience with aromatic ice balls and being fanned by a towel was not to be missed, unless your shy!

Happy Days 😎

We did go and see the inside pools, which were fine but enjoyed the outdoor pools. Had fun in the whirlpool. There were so many people there. It was really busy.

Fun afternoon

Easy to use the voucher and access the cabins for changing. We were a group of 5 and had a cabin each for changing which you lock with a wrist band . Seems to work well and felt very secure. Loads of pools all different temperatures. Great experience,

A must do when in Budapest

Totally enjoyable and unique experience. A definite do if you’re in Budapest. Try all the different pools.

Extraordinary and beautiful

Wonderful experience moving between the hot to temperate to cold pools. The outdoor pools were great fun! Be aware that it is a little shabby in places, but mostly well maintained. There is a cafe for snacks, if you want to stay for the day. I recommend that you allow 3-4 hours, more than that and you will turn into a prune.

A highlight of our trip

A great day spent at the spa. We had booked tickets before we arrived in Budapest and booked treatments when we arrived as we were unable to prebook online. All the staff are friendly and helpful. 5 f us had the anti-aging facial and three had back massages which were fantastic. All the pools/spas are lovely with varying degrees of warmth. Restaurant good as was the cocktail bar. A thoroughly enjoyabe day for very reasonable prices and well worth a visit. We all left quite late having stayed all day very relaxed.

A Must see! Perfect way to relax and experience a big part of Hungarian culture!

This is a must do in Hungary! We arrived early and had the whole outdoor thermal pool to relax in and enjoy the nostalgia of this part of Hungarian culture. We then enjoyed our day going from pool to sauna to steam room. Repeat. I was so impressed with how clean they keep it!

Wonderful relaxing day

Spent five wonderful hours here, relaxing on sunbeds with frequent dips into the beautiful very warm water (38 degrees!). It was so relaxing and just the tonic after pounding the streets in Vienna and Budapest on our city breaks. We enjoyed a tasty sandwich for lunch and a lovely large G&T - which were good value. We wanted to bottle the experience and couldn't recommend it more!

Good experience

The main pool was closed when I visited at the beginning of May. I arrived early which made the experience enjoyable, just before midday the place gets crowded. Great to visit to tick a box and say I’ve visited the main thermal spa, but otherwise I feel the other spa’s in the city would be worthwhile a visit instead. I would recommend an option to hire a towel be made available. I forgot mine and wasn’t prepare to spend €20 on a towel from the gift shop.

Well worth a visit

Lovely place well worth a visit. Could easily spend a full day here. Would rate it a 5 but lack of information on arrival was a bit of a let down. If you book a cabin for 2 make sure you activate both wristbands or you end up in a small box trying to get changed. Also the showers are mixed so getting dried was a tad awkward

Venue is overcrowded,...

Venue is overcrowded, worn and in need of a refresh especially the indoor areas. Given the high price I was expecting more.

Baths amazing. Pálinka tour a waste of time.

The baths were amazing and definitely something I would recommend! We found the whole experience fun and easy. The changing cabin was something I would recommend and made things so much easier and convenient. If your ticket comes with the Pálinka tour I wouldn’t waste your time. It’s a train ride away from the spa and it’s advertised as a guided tour which it isn’t. There is now guide when you get there just a dark underground bar with a few things on the wall, lots of reading and 1 small free drink which wasn’t worth the money spent on the train to get there. Relaxing and just what we needed

This was great!! We recommend going early to make the most of your ticket as you won’t want to get out. We spent hours in the spas and exploring. It was very busy, but we found a space to ourselves and chatted all day. My back has never felt better and we will return! For us a towel was not included, so bring one with you, but we had a locker and changing room with our ticket, and there was a dryer machine for swimsuits after.

Fun day especially on a sunny day 🌞

The day we visited the Spa it was boiling hot so a good start albeit no where near enough sunbed for the foot fall. If I am to say anything negative it’s very aged and in need of a major refurb almost feels grubby. Generally a good trip whilst in Budapest

Absolutely vile

I did not want to believe the low star reviews and felt my partner and I should give this a go as it was a must do whilst in Budapest. It was absolutely vile! The ‘spa’ (pools) was overcrowded, smelly and falling apart (literally flaking paint and cement falling off). The indoor areas were poorly maintained and disgusting (brown stained grout). The whole area smelt awful and was overcrowded. Outside areas smelt awful (cheesy) also! The water was hot as expected but the pool itself had flaking paint. There were no chairs or loungers available even if we had wanted to stay. The cabins were easy to access with a wristband but not clean. Showers (communal) were not clean either and very much a holiday resort from another era. The whole space is in disrepair and lacks a relaxing vibe. I am surprised we did not catch anything/disease (although only lasted 15mins and would never have put my head in that water!) Waste of money!

Budapest oldest spa

The Spa itself was very nice. Lots of pools jets for everyone. However, my friend and I paid for a cabin each, but we were only given one to use between us. Yes, we should have queried it and insisted on a cabin each as they are very snug. We did manage as there was a cabin next to ours not being used, and we stored all our belongings in the one cabin. As we flew Ryanair with underseat hand luggage only (it is possible for a 3 night stay!), we had no room for microfiber towels so bear in mind the added cost of a towel. Would I recommend this spa? It is the oldest spa in Budapest and very spacious, but there are other spas equally as nice, and if you are on a budget, they are cheaper too.

Spa

Excellent spa and pool area however staff were not particularly friendly, one man in particular in the changing area was very rude. Changing cabins were very dark and you could not see to get changed. Other than that we had a great time.

Thermal Spa Day

We thoroughly enjoyed the thermal spa. The buildings around the pool were beautiful (a little run down but still pretty). The water was like a hot tub and enjoyable for a short amount of time. I’m glad we did it for the experience, but would not do it again.

Very good

The facility was excellent and the staff was very helpful. I enjoyed myself a lot. The only problem was that the event included a shot of Pálinka and no one knew where it would be served and we didn;t enjoy it.

Relaxing

Lovely spa and pools. Wouldn't spend all day here however good if you want to relax for a few hours. Pools were very warm and lockers/cabins made it easier.

Big, warm Lido

Big Lido with warm water! Be early if you want a sunbed. Indoor pools also good. Don’t forget flip flops or towel.

Relaxing Afternoon

It was very relaxing after a few days walking non stop around Budapest. The place is very well organized and the facilities are good.

Don’t miss this fun outdoor activity

The facilities were excellent we had lockers for our clothes and a changing room which two of us fitted in . The hot baths inside were excellent and the pools outside were such a lot of fun, lots of of laughter and beautiful weather, one tip in the summer it’s exposed to full sun so cover up

Extremely disappointing

Unfortunately we won’t be going to the spa. Despite paying over £200 the confirmation came through for a different date to that we booked. We notified immediately. Several emails later, not willing to schedule when we intended to book, not willing to refund. It’s their policy — apparently. Exercise extreme caution when booking, the website is clunky to say the least and once you click confirm they’ve got your cash. Based on their version of customer service, I would be very wary of using this establishment.

Super

Szechenyi baths are super relaxing and satisfying. A nice part is, that you enter without a line, and get your private changing area.

Amazing experience

35 pound for a secure cabin, all day access and a poolside locker, all locked by the wristband you're provided. Clean with no issues. Highly recommend

Great day loved it

Had a great day there. Do get there early to get a sun bed. The thermal bath are great very well organised with lockers and food on site. Did not notice any smell but the I door pools are not great.

Not good

Had a confirmed confirmation number, but could not download tickets. First receptionist was rude beyond description, she was more worried about how all her silver necklaces looked on her. Finally, a young lady understood our situation and helped us to get access to the spa (after 1 1/2 hour delay in the afternoon).

Disappointing

Disappointing and run down. The outdoor pool was warm and that was fine, but the indoor pools appeared dirty and it smelt. It was a waste of money and I wouldn't recommend it. If you want to do a spa I'd try one of the others.

Budapest Weekener

Fascinating building and excellent spa pools. Worth taking flip flops and towel. We invested in a cabin and well worth the money as it transported one back in time to a more elegant time. The surrounding area and parkland were also worth a walk around.

My wife and I had a great time here. The warmth of the water is really therapeutic. The place was clean. Thoroughly recommend an unforgettable experience.

Széchenyi Spa

Amazing but could not take my camera into spa as not water proof so could not show off the place. There were so many spas dotted around the place so big and excellent weather as hot day; very lucky with weather we were. Definitely worth the experience if you haven't done it before.

Bath and Spa day!

Great day! Appreciated the flexibility to change date at the last minute! We really enjoyed the spa and having tickets allowed us to avoid long line up.

Spa

Lovely experience. Worth a half day activity for anyone visiting. If you have time it’s also worth visiting Gellert Baths as well. Both offer a different but equally lovely experience.

Gross is the only word needed

I was so excited to try this. We had a private changing room which was fine but it felt like and old convent. Then we walked into the indoor area and the stench hit me. The smell was unbearable. I love water but there is no way i would get in to any of those baths. It was overcrowded and i just wanted to get away. Outdoor area wasn't as bad but super crowded, no beds and pool was packed. Loads of couples in pool snogging and grinding🤢 We stayed an hour and left. Don't waste your money.

A good experience

A good day, and we were lucky with great weather. We got there about 10.30am and was already very busy. When we left in the afternoon they were queuing even for the fast track entrance, so go early.

We were very lucky with the weather and made use of the outdoor spas. We did book a private cabin but they were all full so didn’t get to use this. Drinks not overpriced

Definitely worth a visit

Great time. I’d say allow atleast 4 hours to be in the spa. With this ticket, use the back entrance to enter. We also paid for beer spa which was a great experience. Would definitely recommend
