Great cruise

Ildi was most helpful and the one hour cruise was sufficient. The sights were great just before dusk. Great time to see the sights and watch the sunset.

Bit of a cattle market at first with everyone queuing along the rivers edge without any guidance given as to what to do. View from the boat very worth while if you get a window seat

So nice we booked again!

We went on the 1 hour day time cruise from pier 11 at the last minute as a rainy forecast had proved wrong and the evening was sunny. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for the evening lights cruise tomorrow. The staff were all friendly and there was no pressure to buy tickets or drinks etc. They just seemed all genuinely nice - especially “Flower Girl” ( sorry forgotten how you said you spelt your name other than it began with a C) who was really friendly and helpful - with a lovely smile for everyone. Well done team! We’d recommend this trip when so many others running the same boat trips seem to get poor reviews.

Pretty much a money grab

Fairly average experience to be honest. Felt like too many people on the boat with most seats not being able to see much at all, some even looking directly at a wall. I advise lining up at least 1 hour early to get a semi decent seat.

Cruise along Danube in Budapest

10 of us were traveling together in Eastern Europe. We were impressed by sales lady Ildi and bought the cruise tickets from her. Her enthusiasm defied the chilly wind in Budapest and brought the warmth of welcome in Danube fashion. She patiently answered all our questions. We enjoyed the trip. We would happily recommend all our friends to purchase cruise tickets from her without any reservation. Thank you, Ildi!

Night time cruise on Danube

Plenty of room on board, table service was quick and staff were friendly and polite. Great way to see the sites of Budapest along the river.

Lovely pleasant cruise

We booked this last minute as we were not sure what time we had available. Really wanted to be on the cruise when it was dark but forgot that the clocks went forward so it was still light when we were cruising! We managed to get a seat by a window downstairs and enjoyed a pleasant cruise down the Danube.

Good Value Boat Ride Down The Danube

We were in tge docks areas by the river and accosted by agents selling tickets. Ildi, unlike others was very professional, explained pricing also giving option to pay in Forints. Handing cash to a stranger without ID is tricky however she was trustworthy which is why we took the tour which was fantastic, punctual and reasonably comfortable for 1hr 10 min. The waiting area is warm enough If you arrive early and audio guide app gives comprehensive info of the great sights of the beautiful city

Great experience to see Budapest from the river at night,with Castle Hill,the bridges lite up and the reflections on the surface of the river 👍👌

Sightseeing Cruise

The trip was very good, I think it is something you must do when staying at Budapest. The staff was exellent, especially Kitti was very helpful!! Thank you!!

Wow what a view and such good service

The cruise is a wonderful way to experience the size of the river, the buildings and to get a feel of the city by the river. We were a big group traveling and both Adam and Gabriela were extremely helpful and friendly and made it a fantastic evening for us

Beautiful experience

The trip was amazing, definitely something you must do when staying at Budapest. They emailed you the tickets with all information from the start to the end. The staff was super nice Gabriella and his partner were super kind and helpful. Love to have that service from when taking a trip like this. Companies needs more people like them

recommended,but i prefer take the seat in upstairs,it is little bit stuffy in downstairs but it is okay

The bartender, Viola, was very kind to us, and our waitress Nóri was really helpful. Also, the whole staff did a great job! We will be back for sure!

humiliation

Horrible experience. We selected night tour, bought our tickets online and were informed that we need to be on sight half an hour earlier. Upon our arrival we were left to wait on the street with -2 degrees and were informed that sightseeing guest are not allowed to warm waiting room. When we asked if we can pay for warm waiting room, we were not allowed - warm waiting rooms are reserved for dinner/cocktail guests. This kind of treatment is really humiliating for sightseeing guests. It‘s like a segregation of sightseeing guests - horrible!!!

Very satisfied

Fantastic cruise staff were all good, boat left on time free welcome drink was well appreciated, all the sights lit up at night were fantastic. Only gripe was lining up to wait for the cruise was a little chaotic with people not lining up and waiting there turn to board that was frustrating and with the welcome drink wait until a little while into the cruise as the 1 poor girl behind the bar was getting overwhelmed but all on all highly recommend for what you pay, the sights are fantastic.

Maybe look for a better ship

The ride is ok and cheap, but they allow smoking (even the crew was doing it) in the top area, which is not completely open (take that into account if all you want is to tale pictures). It ruined part of the experience for me.

good value for money

great value for the price we paid and got a drink with it. cruise last one hour and would have been perfect if buildings we passed were made know to the tourists . Many did not know what they were looking at . Think it would be easy like hop on hop off bus. However for the price a nice hour of relaxation

Cruise down the Danube in Budapest!

Wonderful staff, even helped me get a Bolt cab back to my hotel Very beautiful scenery and I would do it again next visit to Budapest.

Completed the cruise at sunset - was beautiful to see the city transform as the buildings/bridges lit up. Wish the boat had removed the tarp roof for a better view - looking out/taking pictures through the window was not as good.

Danube cruise

We bought tickets on Revoult and paid 9e/per person. We knew there would be free drinks or audio guide. We drove around the Danuber river for more than 70 minutes. We have seen the most important Budapest sights in the sunset which was beautiful ( we booked our cruise at 19.30 ). You can buy wine or some snacks on the boat. We bought 2 glasses of wine which were around 2400 HUF. The staff was quite nice.

Relaxing cruise ride

nice cruise, closing our trip passing by the places visited over the last days. No audio information but very relaxing.

Wonderful views and photo opportunity

We took the 8pm cruise and managed to catch the sunset, but not all the lights, especially those of the Parliament House. Bring a jacket.

Nice

It was better than we expected. The price was good and we got free drink 🍹. The boat could be in a better state but it was acceptable. The view was pictures and overall the ride was really great.

Value for money

Great value for money - boat was clean and staff very friendly - also got drink token which was not expected. Good to get a different view of the sights already seen on foot

Budapest Guided Danube Riverboat Cruise

Three weeks later, we're still talking about one of the highlights of our trip to Budapest—an entertaining and informative Guided Riverboat Cruise. Everyone in our group had an awesome experience and so I feel it's share-worthy here. We booked 2-weeks in advance with BudapestRiverCruise.com and hired a guided with their help. The communication was great. Email the cruise director your request for a guide at info@budapestrivercruise.com, since it's booked separately and not on the website. The tour was paid on their site at booking; however, as I noted, the guide is booked separately and their fee is paid at the conclusion of the excursion. When our group arrived, we were greeted by a friendly, smiling face--our guide! We had a great time! It's killing me now that I can't recall his name: so kind and cheerful, a beautiful man! It was a little hot in the sun before we got moving, but soon we were underway, having drinks and enjoying the presentation by our guide. We really enjoyed his trivia contest too (so competitive our group)! We spent an hour on the river enjoying the views and learning about the great buildings like the Budapest Castle, the Hungarian Parliament Building, and so much more. We heard about Budapest's rich history, and got suggestions about places to go explore in the city. After we disembarked, I paid the guide his fee and we were off to enjoy a dinner at Nagy Fa-Tal, Hungarian Hell's Kitchen, but that is another story. In any case, if you can get it, I highly recommend getting a guided riverboat tour when you travel to Budapest.

A Worthwhile Experience

The cruise was interesting and well organized. They gave us a bonus of a free drink. But only 2 girls manned the bar and people waited a loooong time for their drinks. There also areno explanations of what we are seeing. But we enjoyed this early evening cruise and the beautiful views of Buda and Pest.

A Wonderful Cruise

I had originally booked the cruise in the morning hours, but Viatours contacted me that the tour at that hour was cancelled and gave me other options. We chose the early evening tour. It was organized, left on time and was very scenic. The only problem was that they gave us a bonus--every passenger recived a chip for a free drink. But only two girls worked the bar counter and people waited a very long time to get their drinks. If this is going to be offered again, i suggest manning the bar with more personnel. Otherwise, the cruise was very good.

This boat cruise is the way to go!

I took this tour with my friends and I wanted to share a few thoughts: This cruise was a great way to behold the most important sights of the city! Definetly beats the crowded streets and buses. Plus we could take magnificent pictures of the high-lights of Budapest from perfect angles! We spend little time in each city on our trips, so a boat cruise is always a time efficient option for us to discover the true beuauty of each city. The staff was super friendly and helpful! We also got a complimentary drink onboard which was a really great surpise Absolutely would recommend this tour for everyone!

Worth every penny, we went through almost a whole river and viewing all the buildings, landmarks and bridges at night where everything is bright

Incredible tour

It was a so nice and enjoyable trip. The views were incredible! The atmosphere was very nice and fun. Definitely a must do!

Could have been better

The cruise would have been enhanced if the TV showed the interesting points on screen. No commentary and headsets not offered.

Average day time tour with no commentary

We paid 8.5 euros each so this is not an expensive trip. It goes up and down the Danube for 70 min as advertised. The big weakness is there is no commentary at all. If you want to know a bit about what you are seeing bear this in mind but if you just want a nice affordable trip on the river then this is fine.

Not bad for its price

It was nice , kind of a short trip. You can’t see much unless you are near a window/opening. Make sure to get there at least 45 mins early because the line is huge. The stop at Margaret island was kind of unnecessary. The upside is that it was really affordable.

Average tour

It was not very great experience. I would not recommend. Kids needs more interactive tour. For couples may be ok. Boat was clean and good. Staff was friendly.

Enjoyable time.

Well organised but thought there would be commentary. We went on 5pm cruise and saw daylight sights and also a lovely sunset !

Terrible experience

The service was really poor, I would like some money back. There was no audio to tell us about the sights, staff were not at all friendly. If I could give no stars I would.

Average river cruise

We booked this evening sightseeing cruise to see Budapest illuminated at night. We arrived 30 minutea prior to the curise departure time but had queue quite far back as many others had arrived even earlier so make sure to arrive early so when you board you get a good seat. There was a bar onboard on the bottom deck and drinks could be taken upstairs. There is no audio guide on this tour which isn't a problem if you've done a bus tour and have your bearings. There were no staff coming upstairs to check on the guests. We had several people on our curise smoking and messing around. There were signs when boarding stating there should be no smoking, however the top deck turned into a partu deck for smoking which was disappointing for non smokers. I'm glad we didn't pay much for this cruise as it definitely wasn't our favourite thing to do on our trip.

Overall good experience

A memorable experience and a must-do in while you are in Budapest. Could have been more engaging with a guide or someone speaking about the stories of the monuments.

Waste of time

Waste of time and money. Not worth it. Not guided, non informative, was moving unnecessarily slow, too many seats, passengers were unable to see anything.

Silence

We were excited to take part in this cruise to see some of the amazing sights of the Budapest Danube River and learn about the history of the building along the river. The staff was polite, the boat was clean and well-maintained. However, after the cruise started there was no audio guide or tour of where we were seeing. There was no information. We could see some of the amazing buildings but we were entirely unaware of what we were looking at. We went a spoke to the bar staff (the only staff member we could find) and asked if there was a tour as we could see a PA system as part of the boat. We were informed that there used to be a guided tour in English and audio available in other languages, however, the PA system on board the boat had broken several months ago and they were unaware if it was going to be fixed. We were not informed about this and it was not mentioned on the website. We would not have attended if we were aware. A walking tour would have been better. Disappointing.

Beautiful cruise!

What an amazing experience! We went on this cruise as a group of 10 and upgraded to the unlimited drinks for an hour (£12.50). The views were beautiful and the staff were so friendly!!

Interesting experience not night-time sightseeing

The cruise is 70 minutes long, a good way to see the city at night. It is a bit of a pity that you have to see everything through the windows, no outer decks. Almost fully booked and it got really noisy at times. I recommend to get there early to board the ship as soon as possible to get the best seats for good views.

Great way to see parts of Budapest

It was a nice ride until I was harassed by an older guy. The older guy kept on touching my back/shoulder and taking pictures of me so I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the tour because I was uncomfortable and on edge. I’d like to thank the male staff member and guests who helped me and told the man to stop (the person still harassed me after). There wasn’t much they could do since were enclosed on a boat in the middle of the river 😅 They have a bar at the back of the boat with some snacks. Also be warned that there is no audio guide. For the part of the tour I could enjoy, I used google maps to figure out what I was looking at.

It was a good experience. The boat was clean and easy to find. We saw all the main sightseeing points and we enjoyed it. The staff was also helpful.

I misunderstood though - I thought there’d be someone talking about the buildings & history of Buda & Pest. (Although to be fair to the company - it doesn’t advertise this) So we got some lovely photos - but no “tourist info”

Brill boat trip

Seeing Parliament building at dusk was an awesome sight. You can also just about see the shoes on the river Danube from the boat too. Toilet doors swing outwards and I did unfortunately knock the door into a woman who almost went flying!! Soooooo sorrrry

Amazing

5/5 I had a wonderful time and i will be surely sail with Silver line again in the future.Cant wait to visit Budapest again.
