Best way to explore Budapest for a 3 generation family.

A most enjoyable and informative private tour which catered to our family of 5 with 2 elderly and 1 teenager. Our guide Christina had a pre-tour discussion with us to decide on the places we would like to visit before setting off. Christina was very knowledgeable and shared with us a lot of information about Budapest’s past and present, spiced with her own sense of humour!

Excellent small group tour

Andrea is excellent and did a great job in providing a succinct overview of the rich history and culture of Budapest as well as Hungary in general. The tour was efficient and tailored to our interest. Would recommend to anyone interested in a small group, personalized tour.

Great private tour of Budapest

Our private tour was everything we wanted it to be. It was perfect. Our driver/guide Zoltan could not have been more knowledgeable, pleasant and wanting to make our four hours with him as fulfilling as it could be. We heartily recommend him and this tour to anyone wanting to get a full experience to the beauty and history of Budapest and Hungary.

The best tour I ever took.

We extended our 4 hour tour to 5 hours because it was FANTASTIC. Our tour guide, Christine, and her driver my man Laxlo were the perfect team. Always on time and always wiling to help us with all the spots we visited. Christine was very knowledgeable and informative providing us with all the important details of every site we visited. She never lost her enthusiasm during the 5 hours and was always showing excitement about the many beautiful spots Budapest offers that we visited. We are so happy they were our tour guides. I would ask for this team if anyone takes this tour. You will NOT be disappointed. Al Ferrara and George Serel.

Great Experience

Outstanding. Christina took us to “top sites” as well as little known places. She really knew her stuff. Peter was a great driver. All in all a great experience and worth the money.

Very informational

Our group of 6 loved Kristina. She and the driver took us all over Budapest as well as a quick stop to a department store for a swimsuit needed for the Szechenyi spa the next day. She was incredibly knowledgeable on Budapest history, led us all over the various districts and found us a nice place for lunch.

The best way to enjoy Budapest!

We took the 6 hours private tour and Christina was absolutely amazing. She was so knowledgeable and funny. The itinerary was modified for my elderly mom so that she would not be too exhausted. The driver was also considerate and polite. Truly recommended.

Christine arrived on time and with a big smile! She is exceptional with regards to her knowledge of history and obviously history of Budapest! Christine and her driver work beautifully together and took us to all the spots we wanted to see. She also suggested a few not in our list to get us the best views of the city from above. Budapest is a beautiful city with so much history and architectural diversity. Christine did a great explanation of all the point of interest. She is very knowledgeable and passionate, she is a great guide. Dessie did a very good job driving around the city.

A wonderful tour if you want to cover the main sites in the city and see certain areas in depth! Erica was a fantastic guide and the driver knew exactly where to go!

Zoltan the Magnificent

Our tour guide Zoltan was right on time, in fact a few minutes early. His car was clean and he had water bottles for us. He was very knowledgeable about the sites and the history and tailored the tour to the specific places we were especially interested in seeing.

Completely worth the cost for this private tour!

We went for a day to Budapest, and our driver Zoltan was fantastic. We wanted to see all of the major sights and attractions, as we were short on time. He was very friendly and informative. Gave us brief history of all the areas we visited and allowed us time to stop, exit the vehicle and take pictures. The day was a little drizzly but still fantastic none the less. We stopped on both sides of the river, Buda and Pest. They were also very flexible on pick up location as we arrived via train early and they accommodated picking us up from our hotel very last minute. While it seems pricey, for the time we were there, we were able to see all of the sights in a short period of time. Normally we would do a hop on hop off bus tour, I cannot be happier we chose this option. Would absolutely pay for this experience again!

Private tour of Budapest

The driver and guide could not have been more attentive or informative. We had a great experience. The car was very comfortable and as I can't walk very far I was able to see all the sights with minimum inconvenience. This tour made our holiday.

Excellent tour wit Sweet Travel

Christine and Peter were amazing! We disembarked from our boat on Dec 25th and Christine and Peter were there to pick us up exactly at the time we agreed upon. In all honesty, we did not have high expectations for the tour we had scheduled because it was Christmas Day. We were pleased by Christine our tour guide and Peter our driver. Our tour was exceptional. Christine was very knowledgeable and willing to customize the tour. She has great historical knowledge and shared information in a way to keep our interests, while not giving so much information that you get overwhelmed. Peter was an excellent driver and was able to get us close to the sites we visited! We are thankful they shared their Christmas Day with us. We would definitely use Sweet Travel again!

Well worth it!

A heavy dose of history as you visit a number of sites and landmarks. We did the 6-hour tour and think we could have been just fine with the 4-hr option! Our tour guide was a deep historian and very knowledgeable!

Excellent tour, extremely knowledgeable guide

Great tour of the city. Love the four hours spent on the beautiful city. Joseph was entertaining and showed us all the best highlights.

Lots of information. But exhausting. Less is more.

The tour was packed with many things to see in Budapest. But I felt like maybe less is more. He was very knowledgeable but it wasn’t necessary to hear in that much detail.

Good variety

Stefan was great! He complimented another tour itinerary and provided good informative history and sites.

Refund policy is a joke

The tour was just ok. Our guide showed us nice sights but gave too much history and never took a break. Was shocked when we asked to sit for a moment and have a bite and a drink. The biggest problem was the refund. The refund “promise” is a joke. I cancelled one person due to illness 48 hours prior to the excursion and we got no refund. Refund policy is not stated as such. BE VERY CAREFUL.

Denise led a very informative tour highlighting the key sights of Budapest. She is knowledgeable and friendly and geared the tour to our interests, so we were all happy with the experience. Would highly recommend

Beautiful Budapest on the go

We thoroughly enjoyed our four hour tour with Christine and Laslos on our last day in beautiful Budapest. Laslos was a great driver with intense traffic patterns and was the best host - always making sure we had an open door and water. Christine was a plethora of knowledge and clearly loved her country! We saw all the great highlights of beautiful Budapest and got the perfect dropoff for the start of our river cruise. If you’re on the fence about this tour I highly recommend with Christine and Laslos

Excellent!

Excellent car tour of Budapest! Our tour started promptly at the scheduled time with the pick-up from our hotel. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and worked with us to customize our tour and stops for walks around Budapest. He gave us the right amount of explanations and trivia and answered all our questions. The proposed route is excellent; we added only a few stops. It is a private tour, so we set the pace of the tour and the length of time at each stop. It is also a comprehensive tour that is impossible on foot. The car was sparkling clean and very comfortable, and our driver expertly negotiated the traffic and street. Definitely recommended!

Right length for teenage kids

Our guide was very good and knew all the history we asked about. 4 hours was about the right length for my three teenage children. Personally, I would have preferred a longer tour, but that is not the tour's responsibility.

Budapest 6 Hour Tour w/Car

I like to start by saying that our guide was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Our car was clean and the overall service very professional. When I booked this experience I was under the impression that I had booked a driver and a guide. I found out that there was only one man doing both the day of. It is hard to guide while driving and looking out of a car window. Seeing the sights through the window of a car isn’t what I expected or wanted. The walking elements of our tour (limited and only a few) were great. Experiencing the sights while standing and walking is what a tour should be. The issue is we had to park to do so (since there was only one man doing both). The car was a burden, I would not recommend it unless it is a two man team so you can actually tour. Overall if I had my day back I would have booked a 3 hour walking tour in one area and perhaps another tour a different day.

Excellent Private Tour

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Budapest including historical, cultural & educational items of interest. He was very personable & answered all of our questions satisfactorily. He was prompt & made several stops during the tour which was nice. Would highly recommend!

Excellent private guide tour

Our guide was great. Although there was an agenda to follow he was great at listening to our needs and adjusting. Central Market was to be the first stop but we wanted it at the end. The guide (can’t remember his name) was very knowledgeable and had facts / figures for everything we saw. Well worth it!

Christine was amazing! Knew Hungarian history and every inch of Budapest. She freely answered our questions and pointed out things we never would have noticed without her. So enjoyable and Peter was a great driver and so courteous to all of us.
