Budapest looks amazing at night. Book the evening cruise and arrive at least 15 mins early to get a good seat. You can also stand in the back of the boat for better pictures. The audio guide was helpful but not necessary.

Gorgeous views, convenient to be able to enjoy the island and then hop back on the boat, friendly service. Highly recommend!

Waste of time!

We went for an evening cruise. Disorganised embarkation and disemabarkation. The commentary onboard had no relevance to the sites we were passing. The commentary spent usless time on the showing fuit & vegetables and making useless comments like "the theatre performs musice and shows". The "champagne" was fiiy apple juice. All in all a waste of time and money

Beautiful break from a hot day

Great way to spend a hot day in Budapest. The wind of the Danube was a great break from the hot city. Beautiful photos and got to walk around a small island park.

Enjoyable boat trip

Well worth the ticket price. I booked this for a group of 5, excellent service that can't be faulted. We got off the boat for a wander.around the island and took the next boat back. No hassle at all! The commentary on the 1st leg was informative and engaging. Would thoroughly recommend.

Amazing trip

This boat tour was amazing. The boat was phenomenal and staff very polite and accommodating. The audio was also very well put together. I would definitely recommend this tour, great value for money and was shown a lot of the sites.

Good value but nothing special

It was ok but nothing special. Was an easy way to see more, and later in the day after a lot of walking, it was good to rest on the boat. I wish they had drink holders and a greater selection of drinks.

Relaxing way to orientate yourself

The crew looked after us all brilliantly with a great commentary on the headsets and a glass of alcohol on the way out and a glass of lemonade on the way back.

Would recommend

Very easy to book online. When we arrived, the dock was modern and clean and the boat was too. Upon departure we were asked what we wanted for our first free drink whilst we listened to the tour. On the way back we were given a second free drink whilst we glided down the Danube. Good price and well worth a visit!

Decent cruise but beware Legenda customer service

Pleasant staff on board and enjoyed the actual cruise, although the audio guide is not very good. However the administration staff at Legenda have successfully spoiled our overall experience. Our hotel very kindly offered to make our reseervation in advance, however there were problems on the Legenda web site (which they subsequently admitted), and whilst the site processed our credit card payment the system would not provide the confirmation paperwork. The hotel spoke to Legenda and we were informed that the payment would not go through and we should simply report to the ticket office on board and pay there. The following morning we checked our bank site and could see that there were in fact two payments, and within the next 24 hours Legenda had in fact taken both payments. Despite several phone calls and emails made by our hotel, and promises by staff at Legenda we rae still awaiting the refund. This experience has tarnished what was actually a lovely visit to Budapest,so please be aware of Legenda when it comes to customer service.

Pleasant Hour

This was a pleasant cruise down the Danube to the Margaret Island. Lasted an hour, Commentary was not over intrusive and staff were efficient. Good way to see buildings from along the river.

Nice tour on a sunny day!

We had a sunny and warm day, got nice views of both Buda and Pest. Stop at Margaret island was lovely.

Great way to see both sides of Budapest

A very enjoyable hour long cruise on the Danube river. The boat is comfortable with seating on the top and there’s complimentary drinks with a selection of champagne, wine, beer, fruit juice etc. Audio commentary is available in various different language and there’s an option to stop at Margaret Island. There are many cruises available - one per hour and during the evening/night they also have dinner options.

Great way to see Budapest

Solo trip

During my stay in Budapest I enjoyed a river cruise. The boat was lovely as were all the staff I encountered. It was an enjoyable cruise passing some lovely sights. I got off at the half way mark & explored the island that they stop at. It was all very nice & made a nice change from the busy city. I had a free beer on my outward trip. And a free lemonade on my return trip. Both drinks were much appreciated as it was a very hot day. I booked the cruise through my hotel reception. The whole experience was a good one. And I'm pleased I did the trip.

Best way to appreciate Budapest

Must do. The night cruise is must do activities as the building lite up beautifully and it’s a treat. The cruise is well managed. However you have to book in advance. Also be there 20 min before if you want to good seat in the roof

Excellent cruise experience & staff

Superb cruise experience. The entire journey allows us to take wonderful photos of the main attractions of the city. The drinks provided were nice and staff were friendly. This activity is a must go in Budapest

Enjoyable and Stunning Night Lights

Arrive early if you want to sit outside on top deck. We did 8:45pm evening cruise. It was excellent; one hour was just the right amount of time. We sat inside, four rows from front of ship; views were great. Narration in English was easy to hear and understand, and enhanced our experience. We did not have the free drink, but servers did a great job.

Great experience for good value price

Excellent value. Free alcoholic drink outbound to Margaret Island where we spent 2 or 3 hours before returning by boat using the same ticket. Good views of both Buda and Pest from the river and the cruise boats there and back were modern and very well managed by the crew who were very professional and friendly. Nice non-alcoholic drink on return journey. Highly recommended.

Get off the boat when you stop at Margaret Island. Wander around the gardens and take a later return cruise to town. Budapest is a beautiful city filled with friendly people .

Pleasant cruise with refreshments and potted information

Pleasant cruise around Budapest area of Danube with Multi language select audio guide.Easy to find at pier 7 just be careful crossing the road ,use the green man.Clean comfortable seats and pleasant staff.Toilets at the dockside office and on board. Served a choice of drinks including beer shortly after setting off. Took the option of getting off at Margaret island for the 45 minute stroll through the chinese/ Japanese style gardens. Nice spot ,watch out for the tourists on hired cycles who haven’t read ‘No cycling in chinese gardens’ notice. Boat returns and collects taking back to harbour office including a fresh orange drink.All in all very informative guide regarding the history ,characters and architecture of Buda and Pest.

Great value for money

Lovely way to spend a few hours Nice gentle cruise along the Danube with commentary. Get of at Elizabeth Island for a couple of hours, or as long as you want. Then get back on and cruise back to Budapest. Oh and they give you a free drink each way as well.

the views were amazing, the price was reasonable, the time of the cruise was optimal. everything was great and we enjoyed a lot.

Great boat trip

Lovely way to see some of the sites Budapest has to offer. Boat was big and not too crowded with audio guides in every seat. You could sit inside or outside - great views with big windows throughout. We got off on Margaret Island for a couple of hours, which is worth a visit, and got back on the boat using the same ticket to return to our starting point. Friendly staff and you get a free soft or alcoholic drink , which was lovely. Thanks

Just okay

We did a tour during the day, and it was okay. We had intended to get off at the Island for a bit, but it was so windy that we just stayed on the boat.

Worthwhile

We had a very nice time on board and half of our party also visited Margaret Island. It was lovely to see the city from a different perspective although the audio could have been a bit better.

Surprisingly good

Surprisingly good short cruise up and down the city stretch of the Danube. The accompanying audio guide was interesting and the complimentary drinks very welcome. Being able to get off at the island and enjoy the attractions as well as stretch your legs broke up the journey well. The staff are lovely and all in all well worth the money.

Amazing trip

Lovely way to go on the danube,drink included and the audio was interesting on all the local places. Got some lovely photos and got off to visit Elizabeth Island which is included in the price.the price was £13.07 each and it was well worth the money and reasonable.would definitely recommend this trip.

Lay of the Land

We have used Viator in the past. We always take a 4 hour tour when we get to our destination to find out the Lay of the Land and must sees/does. Our tour guide Alberto, knew his way around and understood what we were interested in instead of pure history dictation, we like where are fun spots, locals stuff and places to eat. Take the tour, you will not be disappointed.

Informative and fun, great views.

This was a wonderful tour; The narration was very informative. It was clever to have two Narrator one for each side of the river. The narration was slightly ahead of where the boat was, but that did not distract from the value and enjoyment. Bridges are so incredible from this unique perspective. The weather was perfect.

Great way to sightsee and explore Margaret Island

A lovely afternoon on this cruise. It was so comfortable and the audio guides on the headset are informative if you want them. There's an option to get off on Margaret Island and get on the next boat. The view of some of the highlights from the Danube is fantastic. Well worth it!

Well worth doing.

Great experience but watch where you sit. The front of the boat is like a green house when the sun is out. We moved further back eventually and asked to have the window open. Much better. Staff were great, especially the guy remembering all the drinks as the first one is free. Lemonade on the way back which was a nice touch. Would do it again but the night cruise to see everything lit up.

Don’t book 5pm if want to get off at Margaret island

I specifically booked this cruise because of the opportunity to get off at Margaret island. I booked the 5pm departure. When we got on the boat they told us we would be able to get off at Margaret island for 45 minutes but when we got there they told us not to get off as this was the last boat. When I asked a member of staff they said we could get off but would have to make our own way back via public transport. Very disappointing.

Very relaxing river tour

This boat ride was an absolute delight and very good value for money! The staff were extremely friendly and hospitable. We were given a glass of champagne on the way and a lemonade on the way back included in the price of the ticket! We made us of the audio guide in English which was very informative. The boat stops at Margaret island where you have the option to get off and explore, which we did! There are regular rides back to the Pest side where the tour begins! Highly recommend!
