Relaxing way to cruise and learn

Very pleasant way to see Buda and Pest with an interesting audio guide. Not all the headphones were working though and some people tying to move the windows which were blocking their view and thereby disturbing others. Get there early for the best seats.

Worthwhile

We sat on top. 22:00 trip and it was very nice. Fireworks went off when we were still at the dock so the 21:45 would have probably been perfect. Boat was clean and boarding was quick and easy. I listened to the audio and it was interesting. No one else in my group did.

As you would expect!

Great way to see the sights from the water. Exactly 1 hr and a drink included which you could pick from a few options. Limited seating up top in the open air. First come first serve so be early and stand your ground when boarding. Many people try to cut so they can get up top. Overall well worth the money while visiting!

Very nice

We had a lovely time on the cruise and that it was close and not open . . We liked the fact that in an hour we saw a lot of the city by night

Be prepared to be mesmerized!!

Magical Danube by night. Must see!! Come early to get a seat on the top deck. Glass of bubbly a nice touch.

Really enjoyable and good value for money

There are quite a few alternatives for evening river cruises and, after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we plumped for this one, leaving at 9.30pm. We were not disappointed. The boat was extremely comfortable and, having removable glass sides, it meant that we have uninterrupted views of the sights, making for some excellent photos. We had intended to go and sit upstairs at the back which was outside but plumped for downstairs instead, 'in window' seats and it worked a treat. The staff were very pleasant and efficient and the drink was welcome if you pardon the pun. The mooring point is conveniently just south of the chain bridge, docking point 7. Book this trip and if it was anything like ours you will really enjoy it.

Great fun

Great cruise and we were lucky enough to see the fireworks too 👏🏼 we all received a drink and great service. My email wouldn’t open and lady in ticket box printed off a ticket for us. Awesome service

Stunning Views

Beautiful way to see the stunning views from the water at night. Definitely recommend. The only thing we wish was different was that there were more seats outside.

Definitely worth it - little chaotic

Seeing the Parliament building lit up - a true sight to see! What wasn’t great was the unruly gun fight to get on board. No organisation, people coming from the back to the sides and pushing through. Need a dedicated queuing system. We were there first and didn’t make it on board until about 20 people had pushed through

Worth it to experience the Danube by night, comfortable cruise and informative audio tape was useful to listen to.

Amazing view of Budapest from the river!

Enjoyed our cruise down the Danube River.. the trip was narrated with lots of facts regarding the history of the river and surrounding villages. Simply amazing views.

Very Satisfied

The narration was very informative, the route was beautiful, even though it was raining the visibility through the glass was very good. The only complaint I have is the quality of the headphones

Nice Cruise

Had a good time - nice views of the city with an optional history recording to listen to at your seat. Received one free drink of your choice. From loading to unloading cruise lasted about an hour exactly.

Must do when in Budapest!

WOW -- just WOW. Views were just incredible. This is a MUST DO when in Budapest. Everything looks so alive with the lights - just breathtaking.

Thermal spa

What a wonderful way to spend a day relaxing. A very worthwhile activity to do mid week. Turned up on the day and paid ( which was cheaper than booking online). With it being mid week it was less busy. Highly recommended.

City by Night

The lights of the city at night were spectacular. This venue by river is the fastest and best perspective to see the large buildings, landmarks and bridges. Tickets, location, access to boat and boat itself was very easy and high quality. We walked from our cruise ship to the venue.

The Legenda Danube River night cruise exceeded all expectations! The lovely free Prosecco added a touch of elegance as we sailed along the beautiful views of Budapest. Booking was a breeze, making the experience even more enjoyable. A truly magical evening on the water!

Enjoyable night on the Danube

The boat trip was very informative with an audio guide and video to accompany the journey. Great views of some of Budapest’s famous site. The only thing that let the trip down was the massive scramble to get onboard the boat at the start.

Not as advertised

Was good as long as it lasted, but advertised as 1 1/2 hour cruise. It left several minutes late and came back 55 minutes later. Unorganized boarding, just pushing and shoving to get on board,

Great views, but it could be a better experience.

The sights were great. The reception area was really nice. The Queue to scan tickets was chaotic; beer/wine was poor quality; the video’s voice was incredibly boring; the boat crew were not welcoming, it felt very transactional.

Amazing experience, bad audio guide

Very beautiful view (we went at night). All the buildings on each side of the river were lit up and reflected in the water. There's both an option to sit inside and outside. However, the audio guide was really weird and didn't really have an intro. It talked about buildings we couldn't see and very confusing.

Beautiful!

Amazing view! Definitely go at night, the skyline is incredible. We had a blast and the wine was good. Only complaint would be that they had glass surrounding the boat, which was a lot less enjoyable than being in the open air. Also ruined the view a bit because of the reflection of the lights inside the boat against the glass. However, they had some space out in the open at the back of the boat. Once we went there, easily became a 5 star experience. We recommend doing that.

Excellent day and night cruises.

We did a day and a night cruise. Really clean boat, lovely staff and excellent information given. Loved the little stop at St Margaret's Island and, of course the included drink. Well worth the money both times.

A MUST

really enjoyable sight seeing cruise! It was great to go at night to see everything lit up. We only got one drink and it was very busy. Pay attention when you arrive as its easy to board the wrong boat!- Isn't very well organised and gets very busy inside.

Very enjoyable and historical tour

Im so happy I read all the reviews about this tour before booking. This cruise is such great value for money. All the crew were just lovely, the sights and history did not disappoint , The boat was easy to find and very comfortable. I think there is 32 languages/translations and all headphones supplied. The crew take your drinks order on board and deliver to you in person. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy. I would happily take this tour again.

Nothing special, cruise with prosecco. Took too long to serve the drinks. Clean boat and friendly staff.

Beautiful sights, horrible service!

Seeing the monuments lit up is truly incredible and gorgeous. That is about the only good thing I can say about this experience. We never received our “free” drink, nor did we have headphones at our seat. When asking for them, we were told they were on our seat, but we were upstairs and outside without headphones so no audio to describe what we were looking at. In addition, the video screen was broken on our deck, so no visual to follow along with either. The customer service is sorely lacking and it was a disappointment on what could have been a magical experience

A few buildings were beautifully lit, although it was difficult to see through the windows on the boat- too much glare.

Great views! Big tip is...

Great views! Big tip is to go to the rear side of the boat and upstairs, this way you will seat at the top of the boat without ceiling, it will give you a great opportunity to take stunning pictures

Excellent night tour of the river

Very nice and relatively inexpensive tour. They have the process down! Efficient and a great tour. I would do this again.

A must!

Absolutely recommend this!!!! A beautiful city all lit up at nighttime is a must. We sat on the top deck, Prosecco was given out and there were blankets if you needed it with the chill which was a nice little extra touch. We went on the 8.45pm cruise and the sun was just setting which made everything come alive. It’s an hour of just relaxing and soaking up the beautiful surrounding with a glass of fizz

Great evening cruise

Best to go when it’s dark. We did the 8pm cruise and the buildings looked stunning all lit up. The boat was covered but you could open the windows . I got great photos through the glass.

Night cruise thrills

Well organised, friendly staff. Beautiful views along the river after dark made even more thrilling by the unexpected thunder storm and lightning!

Exactly What I hoped for!

Legend cruise line was easy to find, located centrally along the Pest side and timed perfectly to see the spectacular scenic lights along the Danube. 1 hr cruise went both ways along the river. Would recommend to others.

A great experience on our first evening in Budapest, giving us an overview of some of the best places to visit and all looking at their best when lit up.

Nice Birthday Boat Ride

It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend! I sat at the top deck get the best views of the buildings lit up. There were blankets provided since it was very cold. I went right at sunset and the views were beautiful. I didn’t go any earlier than sunset if you want to get the buildings all lit up; it’s best to go after dark. As others have mentioned, the audio does not follow the sights so I didn’t use it. Overall it was still a good time and I enjoyed my included drink!

I great experience in Danube river

It was a nice cruise. Moreover, there was a Greek audio guide so everything went perfect. I strongly suggested.

Just Stunning!!

Beautiful Scenery! It was an amazing experience to be able to see the Danube from such a unique vantage point, with the historical and informative audio guides for history lovers. This was a perfect way to end a beautiful day of sightseeing. Must Recommend!

Great views, nice boat but was disappointed not to receive new earphones and they were out of drinks.

Beautiful views! We went when it was totally dark, so you get to enjoy all the lights from the buildings. It's worth it and a must-see. We were disappointed that we didn't get new earphones; we had to use the ones that others had used before us and who knows how many more people before that. Also, the sound was very low, so we could hardly hear and understand what they were explaining and saying. You get one drink, but they were out of many, so we ended up drinking water.

It was ok but staff were friendly but not informative.

Being on the Danube was indeed beautiful, but the staff were not very good. It was bedlam at the beginning of the tour as there was no order to the line of people by the staff. When staff arrived to take tickets everyone just surged forward. Quite dangerous!

Relaxing

A great way to see Budapest from a different view and relaxing evening! Go late in the evening so you can see Parliment lit up - it is stunning!

The cruise was very enjoyable, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Would recommend. The views from the boat give a different perspective to Budapest, certainly worth doing at night as we did.

Beautiful at Night

We were recommended this cruise by our hotel. We turned up but the ones we wanted were fully booked so the first available was 2130 hours. I have to say the city was stunning at night and we were happy with the way it turned out. Well worth it for an hour for under £20.

People stood around the boat blocking the view. This of us that got there early to get good seats were blocked from these individuals.

Worth it

You get what you pay for, and this cruise is pretty inexpensive. Seeing the buildings all lit up at night was absolutely beautiful. That in itself was worth the tour. Having said that, the outside section is VERY tiny, so be sure to arrive plenty early so you can be near the front of the line. Most of the people had to sit inside an enclosed cabin. There are headsets on the front of the seats, but so many ppl were taking pics and having fun that a ton of them put them on extremely late or not at all. There isn't any announcement telling you it's going to begin. My headset went out a little bit, but it was fine. Overall, for a $20 activity, I thought it was worth it.

Leisurely speed to allow for photos. Nice boat, sailed both banks of Danube, refreshments provided, great crew!

It was ok

The sights of the city itself were amazing, but it was disappointing to have the boat covered in good May weather. The audio description of the landmarks and history was a bit bland and not engaging.
