4 course Dinner Cruise with Operetta and Folk Show

Perfect night in Budapest!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Danube cruise. We had a table right by an open window, the weather was exceptional, service was really good and the entertainment was fun and engaging. The cruise boat was easy to find. Once onboard you could walk to the front or back of the boat for unobstructed views of the sights. They had light music throughout the evening mixed with live entertainment and opera singing. It was the right balance of entertainment and do your own thing. The food was good for boat standards. The bathrooms were nice and well taken care of. We had a lot of fun. There are two experiences going on at once, a piano concert group was on the top floor and we were on the bottom floor.

Great experience for a leisurely sightseeing

The cruise and dinner show were very enjoyable. The food was very tasty. We sat by the window which gave us nice views from both sides of the river.

This was a lot of fun, we arrived in town just a few hours before, this was what we did our fist night in town. Good food and lovely service

Disappointed

Not four courses as advertised Poor entertainment Over priced trip wouldn’t recommend to others albeit Staff on the boat excellent

My table was taken

When i arrived basically my table was take. Although i booked a window table. And there wasnt a table for me. I left and asked for a refund that i didnt receive yet Such a disappointment

Good cruise

Nice boat, good service and amusement 👌 Really good dinner, that exceeded our expectations, I recommend goind at 19h30 since you get to see sunset 👍

Fun evening on dinner cruise

Great way to see Budapest, enjoy local food, wine and music. We highly recommend this evening. It was a little pricey but worth it.

Great dinner & show

Dances, food service. Great folks. All dancers, food helpers, music and the band. We got to dance ourselves as well.

Excellent

The show, music and the beautiful voice of the singer, great attention. Unfortunately, I have one negative comment, please check that there is enough toilet paper in the bathroom, the boat was 50-60% capacity, meaning that it was not inspected before sailing, otherwise, everything was excellent, Thank you!

Food not worth money

First course was a bit of cheese rolled in a ball and was no bigger than a pea second course soup no rolls, third course meat or salmon no rice potatoes or veg. Fourth a square of cake. Would not recommend this cruise to anyone. Would have been a real disappointment but entertainment saved it

Exceeded expectations in every way!

Wonderful evening which exceeded our expectations in every way. Staff treated us like honored guests; food quality was some of the best we experienced all week; boat was smooth and quiet with. I vibration; entertainment was engaging and excellent even for us who are professional musicians! We definitely recommend for anyone. Kudos to your team!

Lovely fun evening

A great experience. Staff amazing, clean comfortable boat. Stunning views. Music and dancing incredible the violinist was exceptional. Food hot and appetising though the meat in the goulash soup a little tough. Hungarian wine gorgeous and reasonable. Other drunks a little pricey but expected. Great expresso martini. Lovely way to celebrate our anniversary

Amazing show and delicious dinner

Fue increíble, la cena super rica. Los músicos,la cantante y los bailarines lo hicieron increíble. Vale mucho la pena. Everything amazing, the dinner and the show, and our waitress Cseni, was so kind, the best waitress in all Budapest

Wonderful experience

We had so much fun on the Folklore show dinner cruise! The views at night from the water are amazing! We felt fancy and took so many pictures. The music was a nice atmosphere in the background. The food was good and our server Enikó was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. It is definitely worth the price!

Enjoyable evening would do this again

Really enjoyable evening. Lovely waiter Geogrly, friendly and efficient. Food was well cooked and tasty with good choices and taking account of allergies. Music was relaxing and Budapest by night was beautiful. Additional drinks were reasonably priced

Comfortable ride up and down the Danube. Budapest is stunning at night. Food was delicious and the entertainment great. Our waiter Gregely was cheerful and helpful. A great night.

Magical memories of Budapest

Fantastic experience! Firstly - the boat, the cruise itself was good, involving several laps of the Danube between the Margaret Bridge and the Liberty Bridge, where most of the sights of Budapest are located, offering ample opportunties to see and photograph the glittering castles and palaces, and there was just enough space between the tables so as to not feel crowded in. Secondly- the food is lovely- as is the service. Last but not the least- the musicians are top-notch, with enthusiastic folk dancers jpining in the last half-hour.

This is a "Most do" if you are in Budapest.

Definitely a most do while in Budapest. The dinner and show were great but the views of the city were breath taking. The cruise makes 2 rounds through the main areas so you have plenty of time to admire all the bridges, monuments, palaces and Churches. We took the evening tour (7:30 pm) and would say the night views were outstanding and would highly recommend this if you are in Budapest. A fantastic and wonderful way to see this great city from the river.

Nice nighttime dinner cruise

This was a fun evening! Even though the Danube had flooded, we were able to go on the boat. They put up a makeshift boardwalk along the river’s edge so we could walk onto the boat. The food was good and so was the entertainment. Loved it!

Well worth the Budapest Experience

Wonderful traditional Hungarian food, great service and fun entertainment in the Hungarian style makes this a must do activity. A three hour cruise in the evening along with Danube was simply magical; beautiful lights and exquisite architecture, lit by the beauty of the city. It was a romantic evening and perfect for a couple wanting a special date night. I highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Budapest.

Well Done in Every Way

The dinner cruise was well done in every way/ to begin with, the staff was awesome, so friendly, responsive and available. Our particular server, a young lady named Nora was especially warm and welcoming. I had the duck for dinner and it was delicious. the entertainment was so enjoyable and I loved how the entertainers engaged the crowd if they desired to participate. I have been living in Budapest for several months and have taken several visiting friends on cruises and this was probably my favorite.

Highlight of my holiday!

Highlight of my trip and I booked it completely last minute, on a whim. Food was good. Drinks good. Entertainment very good and staff were brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful night on the Danube

A great evening! The staff was wonderful, the entertainers were great AB’s the food was very good with the perfect portion size. They got the audience into the show and the views were magnificent. Highly recommend this dinner cruise.

Wonderful!

Great views! Worth it for the live music alone. Classical, traditional, and more modern songs all included. Folk dancing was fun and upbeat. The food was great- we got the chicken and salmon. Both cooked perfectly and tender. Great service on board.

Okay

We were recommended this dinner cruise by the hotel we stayed in we opted for the meal all inclusive drinks and window seats. The drinks package was not worth the money there was a very limited choice of drinks which were poor quality The food was ok the entertainment was ok the best part was the cruise at night when the sights looked amazing If you can avoid the toilets I would…..

Could Skip It

I have mixed feelings about this one. At the dock check in we were offered to upgrade to a window table and a drink package. We opted to just get the window upgrade. Upon boarding the boat we were placed at the rear of the cabin far away from the entertainment stage. We felt that we were duped because there were plenty of seats up near the stage in the center of the dinner cabin – not by the windows of course. We complained and got moved a couple tables closer to the stage, but were still pretty far away. Also note, that one seat sits up against the window so for a party of 2 only one person sees out the window – the second person must turn around to see outside the window. The food was not fresh. It tasted warmed over. A soft drink and/or water was not included in the meal. At the start of the cruise there was a lovely woman singing and she was pleasant to listen to, but we thought there was also dancing. The table and food was disappointing, and we noticed we were only going between the Elizabeth Bridge and the Margaret Bridge on the Danube so we kept seeing the same views multiple times. We started to question our decision to taking this cruise. Then about 1 hour 20 minutes into the cruise the boat returns to the dock for 15 minutes. We were confused why the ship returned to the dock so soon, two of the three courses had been served. Was this over early? As it turned out the dancers were being pick up to come on the boat. After they boarded in their street clothes they changed into Hungarian outfits and proceeded to put on a very entertaining show for the remainder of the cruise. The dancers performed some very intricate dances that were very impressive to watch. They also got interactive with the guests on the boat. The dancers “saved the day” so to speak. At the end of the day we would not recommend doing this tour, but we did enjoy the dancer entertainment so it was not a complete bust.

Great night in Budapest

Outstanding music dancing and food! Would highly recommend! The musicians were excellent. They played all night! And a great variety of music. The dancers were professionals. Just amazing. And the lady who sang was incredible. What an ensemble!

A " Must do" in Budapest

Had a fantastic time, a great treat, food was fantastic, crew were very friendly, and clearly enjoyed their job, the waiter (Zoltan) was attentive to all his guests, you get a complimentary drink on arrival, the rest you have to pay for, most of the food drinks were Hungarian, making a more authentic experience cruising down the Danube, the ship does two curcits of the Danube, lots of photo opportunities, Glad I splashed out for this

Friendly fun packed great experience

Hi I have paid a lot more money and got a lot less an absolute fantastic must do trip,easy to get to and we were early so they sat us in a seating area next to boat so no standing or queuing.we were seated by the front of the boat and served a glass of Prosecco.the wine cost about £14 a bottle so we 4 between the 4 of us and the food was hot and very well presented and tasty.the folk music singing and dancing was a hoot with clapping and joining in made it a friendly fun packed evening,the views of the parliament building etc were also superb a must try if your visiting.

Great dinner, excellent views

Views were spectacular, the food and entertainment were great, and the excellent service provided by the staff who were friendly and accommodating. Great choice to view the waterfront at night. A must do when visiting Budapest

Great picture opportunity Cruise at night for sure!

The traditional folk dancing and the Men doing their part which to some resembles the Mens Folk dancing of the Irish had to be a highlight. Also, the conga line dance that everybody can participate in voluntarily was fun. Food was Ok, not as advertised in menu, but good. The boat ride included a trip up to the Margit Bridge and back past south of the Liberty bridge and back to port, crew exchange and back for another round trip cruise for a total of 3 hrs. Good time!

The whole night was entertaining, the food was superb. Overall I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Budapest.

Excellent way to spend an evening

Good food and drink, fun music and dancing entertainment, views of the Danube in Budapest as the sun goes down. Excellent way to spend the evening. Staff and service were great and all we had to do was sit back and enjoy the view. Worth booking a window seat.

Traditional river cruise with entertainment

Lovely, traditional Hungarian evening with great entertainment. I've done a few Budapest river cruises before but this has been the most special. Food was also lovely and good quality. I would recommend the goulash and the salmon pasta.

Must do Budapest Danube

This evening cruise was fantastic! We were ushered to our table by the window and offered a complimentary glass of bubbly. The table was very tastefully set, and we had choices for soup, entree and dessert. The deck for viewing and photography was nice, we were able to get pictures of the spectacular Budapest Danube panorama, both during daylight and in evening. They had nice folkloric entertainment, singer, dancers and of course, several musicians. Highly recommend and for sure worth the money 😊

Budapest Silverline Dinner Cruise & Show

Great views of Buda and Pest sides of the Danube. The boat was nice and the staff very attentive and accommodating. The food was very good, especially for a dinner cruise. The musicians and show were good and fun spirited.

Slow service, no drinks and really hot and stuffy

The inside of the boat was super-hot with little to no air flow. We were supposed to get free drinks, but our table never received them, even though the rest of our group did. When we asked, they finally brought out horrible wine after our meal was almost finished and they charged us for it. Service was super slow, some of our table finished their food before the others were even served. Food was okay, but nothing to write home about. The entertainment was great, and the view of Budapest was lovely which is why I gave them 2 stars.

Chose a different cruise.

We bought the drinks and 3 course meal package. It took 40 minutes to get our first drink and none were offered after that. The wine was almost undrinkable. Terrible! Food ok, very salty. Entertainment was good. But for £100 per head, not worth the money. There was no smoking on the boat, however even the band members were outside smoking and throwing their cigarette butts in the river.

This dinner cruise was amazing! The food was delicious, the drinks were plentiful, the music and and entertainment were excellent and of course, the views were stunning. Our family had a wonderful time!
