Lovely drive to the Dampier Peninsula, very informative guides when we arrived at each destination. Could have had a bit more food for afternoon tea!

Not a well planned excursion.

A 12 hour day in a 4WD air conditioned bus. The blurb states that they cater for morning and afternoon tea and lunch. Well the lunch was a single course of delicious fish but the teas were some shop bought fruit cake and sliced fruit and dry biscuits with the afternoon tea being the last dregs of the morning leftovers; poor. There are 2 stops in local communities. 1 stop too many IMO. An hour spent in each one. This seemed to take priority over the chance to get to a beach which we were given a drive by of. It also seemed to take priority over lunch which felt rushed. There was also a schoolchild feel to the request to all sit at long inside tables. The pearl factory was fascinating and well worth the visit. This also had a pool but we had no time or opportunity to stay there instead of going to the second community and a fish tank area. The whole trip did however become chaotic and over long with driving back and forth to commute 3 passengers who were flying back to Broome. Poor planning and very annoying when the trip was already into its 9th hour. A long day that became a bore.

Sensational, educational and brilliant ocean views.

We did the Dampier Peninsular trip with Pinnacle Tours our guide Brenda and driver Mark were excellent. Brenda’s knowledge of the area and history was brilliant and I took notes so I could write a journal of our whole trip. We visited the Cygnet Pearl farm and I was lucky enough to harvest a lustrous round pearl. Very exciting. The views were stunning and we also visited two aboriginal communities which impressed us, a great community spirit. The vehicle was comfortable. We highly recommend this trip. Vicki Smith

Good for the older traveler.

This trip is good for the older traveler. The ride through the Dampier peninsula is not very eventful or exciting. It is a calm ride to the pearl farm, with a visit to a very dead silent, quiet, lifeless aboriginal village (where we saw no one), with a church build by children from the stolen generation and other orphans, later we visited a fish tanks with more local crafts. When at the pearl farm you have some time to sit and eat, hear a story about how they came about, and about the people who were sent to go diving. The lunch was great. The driver drops you off at the hotel. If you have nothing to do, this is a great way to see some of the coastal vegetation. No crocs seen, but no swimming aloud. Unless you like them to nibble at your legs.

Great day tour in the Dampier Peninsula

We had a wonderful day on this full-day tour. The transport is in a 4WD bus that seats up to 27 people. The interior is very much like a coach bus. It is very comfortable with sheepskin seats, seatbelts, air con, lights, USB power supply and wifi onboard. The drive is smooth along sealed roads. Our tour guide, Brenda, is an asset to Pinnacle. Along the way, she presented her knowledge of Broome and the Dampier Peninsula in a very insightful and engaging manner. Brenda also took genuine care of everyone, and kept us well informed of what was happening at each stop. I loved the first stop at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Beagle Bay (~1.5 hrs from Broome). The mother of pearl and shell altar is something unique to the area but also a thing of beauty, love and faith of the local Aboriginal community. The town itself is so tidy which made for a lovely morning tea stop (supplied). Brenda kindly provided tea, coffee, fruit, muffins, museli bars, water and juice boxes. The next stop was at the top of the peninsula at One Arm Point (another ~1.5 hr drive). The picturesque blue/green views of the ocean were beautiful. The following stop at the local Indigenous-operated sealife habitat displays and hatchery was also great - you can see how the local reef and sealife look like up close without needing to scubadive. The highlight was the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, the oldest operating pearl farm in Australia. There is a licensed bistro and kiosk on site. The burramundi lunch ,(supplied) was heavenly. The 1-hr pearl farm tour (supplied) was very educational about the industry. The venue itself is so beautiful that you can easily just sit quietly with a drink under the trees and relax. The day started early with pickup before 7am. We finished by 3:30pm and we were back in Broome by 6pm. Thank you to Sami for promptly arranging hotel pickup/drop off after booking. This was a wonderful, comfortable day tour to experience the greater area outside Broome with some must see attractions. Thank you Pinnacle Tour Group!

Trip up to Cygnet Bay

Australian Pinnacle Tours trip to Dampier Peninsula, Aboriginal Communities, Sea Safari and flight was a very full day. The stop off at Beagle Bay Church was very interesting. The trophy's shell hatchery stop off did not provide a lot of information and was a bit disappointing. The Cygnet Bay pearl farm was fascinating and the lunch provided delicious. The 2 hour sea Safari was exhilarating! It was lovely to fly back to Broome, which cut down on time, as the day started very early. Angelica was a fantastic driver and guide for the day. She is passionate about the Kimberley and has a vast knowledge of history and issues affecting the area

A beautiful part of the Country to see by land, sea and plane.

Brenda from Pinnacle Tours was our driver and guide up to One Arm Point, we stopped at several places. Her knowledge of the area was fantastic. The Bardi Jawdi people were very happy to share their culture. It's well worth purchasing the book to support the school from the fisheries if you get up there. Cygnet bay put on a lovely barramundi lunch and pearl tour. We also paid for a boat out to see the The Buccaneer Archipelago off the coast and Sunday Island, an aboriginal elder shared his knowledge of the area and culture. Our driver was full of knowledge also.-Fantastic trip. We chose to fly back. Jack our pilot was also very informative on the way home. A trip of a lifetime.

Very Interesting

Very enjoyable long day tour in a very comfortable 4wd drive bus. Our driver, Maz, was most hospitable and a very skillful driver. The final five km into One Arm Point and Cygnet Bay certainly displayed those skills. The main road was bitumen and very smooth. We enjoyed free time to explore the church and the history of the mission at Beagle Bay, which had been introduced by a video on the trip from Broome. Sub titles or individual ear plugs and volume controls would have helped here. Morning tea, served by Maz, then on to One Arm Point for a tour of the trochus shell hatchery. Here our guide, Zac, was very entertaining as he showed us a variety of marine creatures up close. A few more bumps along the road to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, delicious barramundi lunch and an outstanding tour with Wendy. Wendy outlined the history of pearling in the Kimberley and explained the growing of a cultured pearl concluding with the opening of an oyster to find a pearl inside. Our only disappointment was no availability for the flight option on the return trip but another video whiled the time away. The bus has USB charger points, but there was no connection on the road. At Beagle Bay and One Arm Point, connection was brilliant.

An educational and enlightening experience

Very interesting and educational tour. The mission at Beagle Bay was particularly enlightening . The visit to the hatchery near Cape Leveque was brightened by the local guide Zak with his amusing commentary . We were shepherded all the way by our very capable and knowledgeable guide Maz who was attentive to our every need.

Different experiences

We loved the Sacred Heart church , We found the Hatchery at long arm very informative, and great to see some water animals up close. The trochus shells were beautiful and our local guide and presenter was very friendly and informative.

The pearl altar at Beagle...

The pearl altar at Beagle Bay, the aquaculture farm at One Arm point, especially the guided tour. We also loved the tour of Cygnet Bay and the lunch was delicious. Our guide/driver was a lovely person and a careful driver. We were disappointed that you advertised this as including Cape Leveque when it is actually closed for 2022. As a result we spent an aimless 2 hours hanging around waiting at Cygnet Bay

Very disappointing for the price.

To start the bus was 40 minutes late to pick us up. It would be courteous for someone from Pinnacle to message us to warn of the delay. The driver was new to Broome and he got several names and facts wrong along the way. The morning tea was dreadful, packet cakes from Woolworths not even put on plates! The urn broke and no attempt to find another hot water source on Lombardina was made by the driver. We missed half the fish tour due to our late arrival. Cygnet bay lunch and the pearl farm tour was good. It was however very busy in Cygnet bay which took away from the beauty of the place.

Great day all together, the scenic flight was the absolute highlight, so unique to see the area from that perspective. Our pilot Tom was great!

Great day trip from BROOME

Adams service was outstanding. We were picked up on time, Nathan can be highly commended for his service and attention to detail. Unfortunately most Aboriginal communities are closed to visitors so that part didn’t happen. The highlight of the trip was the boat ride from Cygnet Pearly Farm through the currents and whirlpools - hats off to skipper Lou whose knowledge of the area and marine life is awesome. Cygnet Pearl Farm was interesting. Lunch was very second rate - my 8 year old grandkids can cook rice better that what was served. Unfortunately the bus had a mechanical fault and Nathan couldn’t bring us back to BROOME but he was able to arrange for everyone to transfer to another tour company who very kindly took us back to BROOME. I would definitely recommend this trip as a highlight in BROOME

Nathan the tour guide was...

Nathan the tour guide was good and informative. A little disappointed with the entire tour. The tour was rushed. There wasn’t any time given to explore Cape Leveque. Too much time on the bus and not enough time exploring. Need to provide people with more opportunities to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Beware Adams Tours!!

The Cape Leveque and Aboriginal.Communities Tour with Adams was SUCH a disappointment! They contacted me to tell me that Beagle Bay was closed but I told them that I was interested only if there was Indiginous cultural content. They sent through their itinerary which (in BOLD) stated "Aboriginal Commnity'. We drove through a collection of buildings but didn't see a soul and weren't told anything about them. Even the Hatchery tour, although lead by an Aboriginal man was purely about aquaculture and nothing to do with the Aboriginal people. Nathan, the tour guide, grudgingly offered ONE small bottle of water (only once asked) in the entire day and although happy to talk about himself, told us little to nothing about the areas or the peoples. Will NOT use Adams again!!

Fantastic day

Traveled to Cape Leveque from Broome in a 4 wheel drive coach driven by our Guide Evan who provided an amusing and very knowledgeable commentary throughout the day. Couldn't visit Beagle Bay due to Covid restrictions but the rest of the day compensated us fully. The Aquarium Trochus Shell Hatchery at One Arm Point was great and the Aboriginal guide was passionate and gave a really interesting tour. We went on for a beautiful Lunch at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm followed by a look around the farm and the harvesting of what turned out to be a $3500 pearl! We opted to do the Sea Safari from Cygnet Bay. This is about an hour and a half trip out to the fringes of the Buccaneer Archipelago. Spectacular scenery, great guides provided insight into local Aboriginal culture, geology as we enjoyed this exhilarating and breathtaking experience. We the transferred to Cape Leveque where we boarded our light aircraft for the 1 hour scenic flight back to Broome. Flying down the Dampier coast at 700-1500 feet meant that we got glorious views of the pristine beaches, rugged red pindan cliffs and mangrove swamps. Our Pilot Ben (3) of Air Kimberley was great and provided a running commentary for the duration of the flight. Not the cheapest of trips if you add in all of the options but if you decide to do this tour, you will be left with unique life long memories.

A great day at cape Leveque

My wife and I spent a great day with Evan Davis on our trip to cape Leveque. He delivered a delightful commentary on the interesting points along the way. Had a great lunch at cygnet bay. Recommend this for anyone looking for something interesting and a great day out … thanks Evan

Not tone missed

Visiting the aboriginal community and hatchery, the swim at Cape Leveque and all three knowledgeable, friendly and helpful guides. A great day.

Long day

It was disappointing that the aboriginal communities were not open and we didn’t know. We were told the church was not available but not the communities Morning tea was on the side of the road with no facilities. When we finally got to the hatchery, we were told to tag on to a tour that had already started. We couldn’t see the tanks or what was going on. Obviously we were running late because we had a set time for the restaurant and there would not have been time for a full second tour Cygnet Bay, lunch and the Pearl farm tour were good Then some people left for a boat ride which meant at the next stop we had 1 1/2 hours to take a swim and sit around and wait. We got there 1 minute before the coffee shop closed so not everyone could get a coffee It was a very long day with little results

Magic and spectacular views great experience

BEST EVER EXPERIENCE 4wd tour Absolutely would recommend this tour. Loved the Emma Gorge. Swimming in the gorge big highlight for our experience. So amazingly stunning The 4wd vehicle bus was comfortable and great to have a day where you don’t have to drive and do anything. The tour guides were all very helpful with information and lotsa fun. El Questro was pack with spectacular views. Zeebee warm water springs just lovely under the canopy of a rain forest. El Questro station so fabulous. Lunch served steak or Barra delicious. Then the Chambilan river cruise spectacular over 2 hours of serenity, fab photos, great info and guides. So much to see and experience, fish feeding wine and fruit platter provided too. 5 STARS. A long but interesting day

A very enjoyable tour. The guide was very knowledgeable though a little opinionated about some things. (Really best to reserve your opinion on a tour). Beagle Bay was a good insight into a present day aboriginal settlement. Interesting to hear some forthright explanation from the pilot on the return trip. The toilets stank - much better to find a bush. Though this made it obvious that this is not a tourist attraction. Even for a non religious person, it was great to see the efforts the priest had gone to with the opal oyster shells. The trip to the aquarium hatchery at One Arm Point was very interesting. The local aboriginal guide had a brilliant repartee with interesting facts and humour. The cliffs at the Cape were a wonderful hue and the beach a pleasant place for a dip. The flight back was spectacular. Unfortunately spoiled somewhat by a presumptuous couple who gave the impression we were impinging on their flight. This was amplified by them being presented with photos and coolies in our presence. We were not hitchhikers; rather fare paying passengers who deserved more respect. (eg. acknowledgement and not reaching over me to take pictures without permission). Overall however a great tour with knowledgeable . A lot packed into a single tour.

Check your facts

Overall an interesting tour. I found the pearl farm at Cygnet bay particularly interesting. Unfortunately the trip was somwhat marred by the driver/guide talking about the injustices done to the aboriginal people. Sure, no denies that they were sometimes treated appallingly, but if you are going to go on a rant to a captive audience make sure you are accurate. I did not pay good money to be lectured to with this inaccurate commentary. Stick to the facts driver , not just your opinion. Case in point, Aboriginals were not classed as fauna as claimed . This is an urban myth that can easily be checked with a simple online search. Yet it was stated it as fact to the group which included overseas visitors who will go away actually believing this to be true. I find that offensive. I could argue other points of the narrative, but will just leave it by saying, just check your facts before inflicting your views on us poor tourists. Other than this I found the overall experience worthwhile and very interesting.

Great day trip from Broome

We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip from Broome to Cape Leveque and return. Dave our driver and guide from the day was excellent, ensuring that we were briefed about the areas and aboriginal communities that we drove through. The bus was super comfortable, considering that at least 90 kms of the journey was on a corrugated gravel road. This was a drive we were reluctant to tackle ourselves due to distance and the rough terrain. It is a very long 12 hour day, but plenty of time to chill out on the bus. We loved the beach at Cape Leveque and the opportunity to enjoy a swim there. The included lunch at Cygnet Bay pearl farm delicious, and learnt a lot about pearl farming on the tour there.Some people took the option to fly back to Broome from Cape Leveque. We were happy to do the return drive on the bus. Totally recommend this day tour with Adams.

A very enjoyable day.

We had a very enjoyable day travelling to Cape Leveque by a 4X4 truck and home the horizonal falls seaplane. We were given plenty of time at the falls and visited them twice via jetboat. we also flew over them on our return journey by seaplane. It was a pity that the return journey there was a lot of smoke from a bushfire which spoilt the view from the plane.

A great day out

Had a great day in an area where I would not travel by myself. I enjoyed visiting the aboriginal communities and learning about the pearls at Cygnet Bay. We took the optional boat tour and had fun looking around the islands.

Suitable for the elderly.

Quick and easy to book, you will be picked up from your hotel or hostel. Then picked up a lot of other people from their hotel. Truck is comfortable. Driver talks on the intercom with passengers. Not much is told about the environment, culture and history, so that is a bit of a shame. Every now and then we took a bathroom break and a drink break, during which we visited 2 villages (communities). The villages were completely silent, no interaction with the locals. You were allowed to take a photo of the pearl church. That was quite boring. I also saw a few tanks of fish somewhere and heard a short story about what it was like there in the past. Also visited a pearl farm at the end, where you got a clear picture of what it was like. Had a nice lunch. Swimming in the sea was not recommended, especially with the crocs. The passenger list consisted mainly of 60+. Price quality: 6/10. This trip is ideal for the elderly. The return journey could vary: fly back or take the truck again. Flying costs extra. I personally thought it was a shame that you saw so little and that there was so little interaction with the locals. It mostly felt like entertaining tourists and selling souvenirs.

Spaß für die ganze Familie

Der Ausflug wurde von uns als Großeltern für uns, unsere Tochter und drei Enkelkinder gebucht, alle hatten ihren Spaß. Das Allradfahrzeug war sehr komfortabel und keinem der Kinder wurde schlecht. Höhepunkte waren die Kirche mit ihrem Perlmuttschmuck und die Perlenfarm, wo meine Enkelin und ich sogar eine Perle ernten und dann kaufen dürften. (Ein schönes Geburtstagsgeschenk für den Opa).
