Blue Mountains Bliss

Our guide, Ben, was exceptional. His wonderful upbeat communication style, coupled with his incredible knowledge of each of the sites he took us to was top notch! HIGHLY recommend the “small group” tour. We had just 12 of us on our tour, and it was delightful. The trip to the wildlife preserve was brilliant, as were the hike to the waterfalls and the Three Sisters. Both my husband and I had a glorious time on this day trip. The Blue Mountains are gorgeous, and the small town we stopped in for lunch was fun as well.

The wildlife refuge was great; we got to feed kangaroos and touch a koala! The Blue mountains were beautiful as well. Our tour guide, Ben, took us on some great hikes and took several nice pictures of us as well. I wish we had some more time at some of the stops, but understandable given the longer drive and numerous stops. Wonderful experience overall!

Wow! What an incredible day!

Wow! What an incredible tour. The scenery was absolutely stunning. Ben was so knowledgeable about the area and about Australia and its culture. He took care of us all so well. We got some amazing photos and even better memories. Would throughly recommend this tour company.

Look outs, valleys, hikes, waterfalls

Our first lookout was a great introduction to these beautiful mountains with clouds hanging in the valley. It all got better and better. The hike to the waterfalls was beautiful and provided time to immerse in the vegetation. Definite worthy.

Great trip

Great tour. Multiple stops and a very knowledgeable guide Ben. We had great weather and Ben knew extra spots we could hit based on weather and how busy certain locations were. Pick up and drop off were easy and timely. Would recommend to anyone. Fitness level required is low. Fair amount of walking but limited elevation gain.

Stunning views and amazing facts

This is an absolutely breathtaking experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting the area. I thoroughly enjoyed feeding the kangaroos and wallabies at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Katoomba, where we stopped for lunch, was a quaint village and I had a fantastic gluten free Mediterranean breakfast at Lily’s Pad Cafe. The iconic views from the Blue Mountains were stunning and our tour guide, Tony, made sure to provide lots of interesting facts along the route. It was the best day.

Super awesome day trip

I had a wonderful day trip. Patricia was an excellent guide. We went to Featherdale Wildlife Park first and beat the crowds. The animals are adorable and I paid $4 (AUS) for a cup of food to feed the kangaroos and wallabies. Since they are mostly bred there, they’re friendly and will take food from your hand (if it’s the morning and they haven’t had lots of food already). It was a bit foggy for the beginning of the Blue Mountains tour, but after lunch it had cleared up and we had a lovely view. ***this is a hiking tour so if you have mobility issues it’s not for you. I’m not in great shape (and will have sore legs tomorrow), but I was able to do it. Overall great day and great experience. I would recommend this!

Great day trip with a decent volume of walking

Lovely small group your! Patricia, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. She accommodated the group’s desires throughout in terms of lookouts, walks, and stops. We got lucky it was supposed to be a cold rainy grey day, but all the sites popped out in the afternoon for an unforgettable trip! Not to mention the lovely animals at the wildlife park.

Tony is awesome!

We had unfavorable conditions on our tour, but Tony did a great job making it fun. He shared interesting history of the Blue Mountains while pulling out all the tricks to find places to show us with visibility. I’d highly recommend the tour, even if the weather isn’t great, you will have a good time. We were lucky enough to see kangaroos in the wild!

Excellent 5 star day trip

Chris is a fountain of knowledge and information, the itinerary was spot on , beautiful blue mountains, wildlife , lunch stop and look outs . This is a 5 star packed day and the bush walk to the waterfall was amazing. Thank you Chris

Great Day Trip from Sydney!

a really wonderful day adventure! Featherdale Wildlife Park is wonderful with nice viewing areas, clean, and not too crowded in the morning. And the Blue Mountains Tour was just right - bringing us to the iconic photo stops of this national park & world heritage site. The bus drive/tour guide was really great telling us stories of the area and giving us plenty of time to walk & experience the lookouts.

Perfect day out in the mountains

From start to finish, our trip was amazing! The views across the Blue Mountains are truly one of a kind and the viewpoints along the trip were perfect. Ben was a great guide - really friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Great day out :)

Extremely pleasant blue mountain tour

Totally enjoyed the tour led by Chris, who is extremely knowledgeable about the region. It was a tour not merely sight-seeing but informative as well. Chris is more than willing to help you snap a few photos with your phones if you like. Exploring the Blue Mountains is an ease for all ages with Chris as he will inform the group the level of difficult of the hike. I’ll definitely recommend the tour to everyone!

Good tour with knowledgeable driver. Had some hiccups in the morning about changing the tire. The driver was helped by couple of tour members. After that it was smooth sailing!

Bring Your Walking Shoes

Excellent guide, so much historical content given, had a wonderful time! Everyone participated, we laughed so much and still had many more questions to ask even on the way back from from the event destination and guide indulged us. Please bring your inner walking person with hiking shoes. You will be hitting high heights and walking into lower caverns. Enjoyed myself thoroughly and you will too!

Great Blue Mountains tour with Scotty. Love his relaxed but knowledgeable style. He knows more about natural history than several other guides that I've had here. He even remembers your name. Tour was well organized and the smaller group was nice. Highly recommend.

Well designed tour

We had the best tour guide we’ve had in many years. Tony five stars knowledgeable, funny, and adaptable. Great time! 5 of us from 20’s to 70 and all happy.

Funny, informative, brilliant views

Scotty provided an incredible day for us all. He was flexible and offered options that appealed to all. Funny and informative. I enjoyed being told information on the mini bus and then wandering around and taking in all of the scenery.

Blue mountains

Jeff was an exceptional host and guide, lots of great information and a personal touch. The mountains were beautiful and the atmosphere was very friendly.

Great day in the Blue Mountains.

The whole day was great. The cloud cover was low at the start of the day but later cleared enough to see views and add atmosphere. Patricia was great and the day was well paced.

Best Tour in Australia!!

Scotty was great, and this tour was the perfect length. It was flexible and there were options for all! Scotty talked a ton, and was able to answer all of our questions! Great tour, kids had fun too.

A must do tour!

This was a great tour! Our guide Ben was a wealth of information and paid close attention to the weather to try to make sure we would actually have views. He took us to areas that weren’t nearly as busy as the typical tourist spots which made for fantastic pictures! Highly recommend.

Delights of a small group excursion

Wonderful time up close with animals at wildlife park and wonderful views from lookout points that we visited! Not too strenuous either. That was a plus after having walked 8 miles a couple of days before on another non-Viator excursion.

Our guide Patricia kept us on task and provided us with stories and history of the sites we visited. Patricia was pleasant, helpful, smiling and made our excursion enjoyable.

A great trip from Sydney

At Featherdale I got to see all the AUS animals I was unable to see in the wild. Bush walk and waterfall beautiful and a nice too. The lookouts we stopped at were breathtaking. Chris gave us lots of good info, took photos for us, answered all our questions and was very friendly and accomodating to everyone.

Wery good tour and the guide scott was amazing and even tough i sleep over he could catch me at the trainstation and was so lovely to me and had so good storries to tell!

Made our day in Australia

Had a fantastic day with Scotty. Super knowledgeable and fun, made our tour energetic and a learning experience. Definitely worth the time and expense. Dress appropriately for the season, wear good hiking shoes, and get ready for a great time.

Good tour to see a variety of things

The tour covers lots of the Sydney area with great commentary. The wildlife preserve was a great deal of fun. Many overlooks and great views of the blue mountains. The driver/guided was excellent.

What an amazing experience

Let me begin by saying that this tour is absolutely amazing, and what makes it more special is Scottie's touch to it. We have never seen such a professional tour guide who goes out of his way to make sure that his passengers enjoy themselves to the fullest. His knowledge is fantastic, and we would absolutely recommend boutique tours and Scottie's services.

Good tour

This was a good tour. Patricia our guide was very good and had a depth of knowledge allowing her to answer all our questions. The first stop on the tour was Featherdale Wildlife Park. This was a small zoo of Australian animals. We got to feed the very cute wallabies and kangaroos and see koalas close up. We then visited a lookout giving us a great view of the blue mountains. We then took a short walk in the bush to see the bride’s veil waterfall. We had a lunch break in leura which had plenty of choice. The final stop was the three sisters which are truly spectacular. Overall a very good tour.

Foggy Days

Lincoln Rock was the only view available as massive fog rolled in. The tour guide was entertaining despite having little to see. Featherdale was a great experience since it was not affected by foggy weather. Loved feeding the various Aussie animals. The bus seating would have been great for people shorter than 5'4". More legroom please.

Enjoyed the day with room to improve.

Pros - why we rated this tour as a 4. Loved our tour guide Jeff. Very kind, and friendly. Appreciated the tips and stories. Loved trying to get off the beaten path and away from large buses. Appreciated Jeff’s ability to be flexible and adjust tour stops as needed - even adding one! Cons - why we did not rate this tour as a 5. Seats in the tour van were not comfortable for such a lengthy ride. Seats and overall van interior need some upkeep. Definitely showed some wear and tear. Audio system was a little spotty at time. Air conditioning worked very well though. Jeff shared some great stories, some recent history and even did demos. We would have enjoyed more info on geology, and distant history of the region. Still recommend the tour but want the tour operator to know that the seats need to be updated; and tour guides perhaps more prepared.

Awesome tour

Great tour, I really enjoyed the day. The group is not too big, we got to see amazing views (also some of the more unknown ones which was really nice) and Ben talked about a lot of interesting things. Featherdale Wildlife park was also a nice stop. Loved it!
