City Sightseeing Bath Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour

Very informative

Both the city tour and the skyline a great overview of the beautiful city of Bath. The audio gave the right amount of historical detail as well as information about the present.

On my last day in BathInrode the city tour with a driver named Tony. Very nice man. Excellent driver. Cares for his passengers. I am old and a solo traveler so I sat on the upper level. Before the third loop Tony came upstairs to inquire if I was okay and if he could help in anyway. I told him I was tryingvto capture a photo of a beautiful tree near the Royal Cresent on Marlborough St. Sunce I was the inly passenger on the last loop of the day, he slowed a bit so I could capture the photo. A very wonderful way to end my adventure to Bath.

Typical nice way to Orient to the City

Nice way to get oriented to Bath, history tape onboard interesting, drivers friendly. We only took the inner city route. Unfortunately not all the audio jacks work. Test them your ear bud before taking a seat

A Bit Pricey

Nice overview of Bath and surrounding area. A bit pricey for what you get. Audio tour informative. Stops very convenient to downtown area.

Well worth a visit

This was my 1st time to Bath and loved it all. The tour was good, seen some nice places. The history is interesting.

Toots Tour Bus Bath

Bus noisy, commentary sporadic and drowned out by engine noise! At £22 very poor value. Would not recommend probably better on top!

It was so beautiful and the audio guide was so informative!! The Georgian areas were the most beautiful in my opinion but it was overall spectacular. Would definitely do it again!!

Best way to visit Bath for first-timers

Well worth it, not having to drive (nor park) in Bath! Informative audio, helpful, kind drivers. Beautiful old city architecture, especially as seen from top of double-decker bus.

Good way to see Bath

Second time on this tour. Enjoyed it, but the audio guide wasn't tailored for children so didn't keep their interest. They liked being high up, looking at everything. The basic circuit takes about 45 mins. Lots of stopping. Staff at the bus stop by the Abbey didn't seem overly happy with their work, although the driver himself was friendly. Bit of a swizzle that the skyline bus only went every hour so we didn't end up with enough time to fit that in and I'd really been looking forward to doing that. Feels a bit overpriced for what it is. Viator requires an app install just to get the ticket with QR code on to show the driver, which was a pain, and I found their app hard to navigate too.

Way about town

Nice way to get around the city and see attractions. The two tours are about 45mins each. I would recommend others to make time to hop off at some key places and have a closer look. I didn't have much time but would have loved to see the prior park, Royal cresecnt and Jane Austen museum. Do the in city tour as soon as you arrive so you know where everything is.

A great experience - take both trips, city and skyline

So glad we took both trips. We saw so much of the city that we would never have seen otherwise, and it was beautiful! Earphones and map supplied, very good commentary to describe what we were seeing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Bath Bus Trip

Normally, I love these bus trips, but I do feel the drivers were not really feeling the love. The information on the headset was okay, but it was a small circuit, and it felt a little overpriced. Would recommend it only if you had mobility issues.

Dont book through trip

I booked through trip advisor. I never recieved an email, so i never got my tickets, so i never got even on the bus as driver said i needed the QR code...tried messaging for help never got anywhere...we are home now. I called an because i booked through trip the bus company couldn't refund me...i have now messaged again for a refund. I will never book through trip advisor again....

Need to review tour routes and commentary

I was dissappointed at how underwhelming this tour was. I was looking forward to enjoying Bath this way.I concur with prior visitor about tbis being one of my bottom 20 city tours. Needs to change.Can hardly see anything or voew of city on the Skyline tour due to tree coverage perhaps even tbe route. Except for tbe avon river being river river commentary was pretty boring and the volume controls were working properly hope this can be changed the routes and commentary its a shame indeed as how pretty the city is from the ground but one wonders whats really the city about and its history except the shops restaurant and queen Victoria hating the place. Please improve so we come back again be good to know spa places also.

Bus driver driving too fast

The routes planned are good. Staff outside were available if you have any questions. However I was with two kids on the skyline route next to palladian bridge. We just missed the bus so waited 20 mins for the next bus which was fine. But the bus driver driver for the next bus drove so fast and missed us even though we were waving hands he saw us too. I had to get a taxi in the end which is unfair when we paid nearly £50 for 1 adult 2 children what a rip off when it's not reliable

Terrible

Buses were nowhere to be found. Several stops were not being stopped at. We gave up and went with another company.

A great value tour

We pre booked the tour and were pleasantly surprised that not only did our tickets include the hop-on hop-off of the city tour but also the skyline tour. We felt it was an excellent tour and good value for money. A great way of seeing the city without endless/aimlessly walking around.

Good for getting around city but not value for money

£50 pound for myself and Hubby . We purchased as i have mobility problems .It was only a day vist so not really value for money 5 out of the 6 drivers We experienced where miserable and not helpful at all . The one and only driver who was extremely helpful made a big difference to the experience. Not a great impression to visitors aspecially from other countries. Would I recommend yes if you have trouble getting around by walking .

Historic District

Bath is an amazing place. Highly recommend the hop on hop off bus as it takes you around the inner city & the outskirts of Bath. Loved the history of Bath

Really good after initial start.

Really enjoyed it. But we had booked online through TripAdvisor We got an email saying you have to get a ticket from high street and it was a different name on the bus " tootbus ".I Thought it would be an office or something where you get the ticket. It is just as easy to go and pay at the bus and is the same price. The bus stop is near the abbey. Apart from that we had a great time and it was well worth the price as you get 2 trips. One around the city and one around the edge of the city, like a country side drive. I would definitely recommend the experience.

Lovely experience ....recommended for anyone new in bath.I first started in the Toto tour bus to get to understand the city and know where to tour most afterwards ...It was wonderful

A comprehensive tour of Bath City Centre, especially good when tired from walking. Helpful and friendly drivers.

Fantastic tour

Fantastic tour, so easy to pick up around the city. Very comfortable journey.The audio commentary was excellent and really told you all the information you wanted in a clear and concise way.

Getting around in Bath.

I decided to take the Hop on Hop off tour in Bath since I have done this same thing in many other cities. The tour gives you a great orientation to the city. Bath offers two tours, city and countryside, both available on the same ticket. I would recommend doing both so that you can get the layout of the various attractions. The commentary gives a brief history of Bath but allows you to see the gorgeous architecture of this fabulous city. Get your camera because the views are great.

Great way to see the city and surrounding area

Enjoyed the city centre tour and the skyline tour. Interesting history. Shame about the amount of roadworks the buses have to manoeuvre round. Didn’t initially appreciate that the Toot bus tour and City Sightseeing are the same company. Slightly awakened to find the High Street bus stop to collect our Viator tickets as it has been temporarily moved for more roadworks. City Sightseeing reps and drivers very helpful.

Sightseeing through city of Bath.

Lovely trip inside the city. Amazed by the driver’s skills to navigate the bus through the narrow streets. Trip was informative and humorous history. Had a 2 day pass but unfortunately couldn’t make it for the Skyline tour. Next time!! Loved it!!

Great way to get around to further out places in Bath and great for information

We viisted Bath in late August 2022. Thought I had done this review before but couldnt find it. It is a great way to get around and get information on the sites of Bath and of course saves your legs as some of the distances are quite a distance out of main town so great way to get to them.

Loved it all except...

Loved it all except sorting the tickets loved the circus one of the drivers was exceptional giving lots of extra info, only wish we’d had more time would’ve jumped on and off more Great Putney Street is fabulous also

Bath is Beautiful

I do this almost every city I visit, it is a good way to check out the, "lay of the land" along with narration. Bath is small so it is a short tour. Disappointed we did not get a good view of the Lansdown Crescent.

Would have been better of walking. Very disappointing

Nothing memorable. The bus trip was a waste of time. Bus stops marked on map but not on actual bus stops

Useful Tour

We went on both tours and both were very informative, as well as a good way of getting around Bath to points of interest. Also good in the rain as you can see the sights from the warmth of the bus. Only downside was the price, which was very high, £45 for 2 people is very steep.

Disappointing tour

This was the most boring trip I’ve ever been on - it’s such a shame that Bath only consists of cafes restaurants and shops & hardly any history at all. The bus literally goes around in circles staring very generic information- so disappointing

Good Way to get an Overview of Bath

The city tour provided a great overview of the city with frequent useful stops. Audio guide was a solid informational asset. The skyline tour was more of a foliage tour as many views were obstructed by greenery. Polite drivers on all of the busses we boarded. Solid value.

Missed the whole thing

While we did book late, the stops were never clearly explained and we never made it in the bus tour.

Glad we did this tour!

Enjoyed the ride around the city - gave us ideas of places to go back to explore. The skyline tour was interrupted when our bus stalled three times going up a hill. Driver managed to get us back to beginning point. I asked him what happened. He said battery had acted up. I’m just glad there was never a complete breakdown!

Great value beautiful city

Great value and enjoyable tours. City tour plus scenic highlights included in ticket. Great laughs being hit by overhanging branches on the top deck

Easy Ride

Due to mobility problems and only being there for the morning we took the opportunity to re-see Bath but this time on the bus sightseeing tours On previous visits we had walked all around the city and visited many of the attractions so we just needed to fill a few hours before returning home and the bus tours were just the job!

Informative and regular bus tour.

We enjoyed both tours which were included; however the skyline tour stopped only once and there were no views over the valley to Bath. We were reluctant to get off because it was a 30 minute wait between buses and a walk to a view spot was perhaps 5 minutes? Shorter times between buses might help?

Wonder way to see Bath!

This trip is very informative and it is a great way to see Bath. Do both the city loop and the skyline loop.

Two tours with tickets that last 2 days

Two different tours included in the price earphones provided that gave interesting snippets of information. 1st tour took us out into the countryside with views of the city. 2nd tour was in the city. Great that you could hop on and off at different points of interest.

False advertising! Ripoff!

Not only are refund requests not honored, the second you make the request your ticket is canceled. I will be disputing with my credit card.

TOURS..Yes to city no to country

Bus driver was very cordial and helpful, equipment was good. City tour good, not enough stops and a little too fast. Bus driver and equipment were good on country tour however I thought it was a waste of my time. You could not see anything due to trees and shrubs…. No views. More time should be spent on the city tour and stop the country side if it cannot be improved.

Handy when visiting on day trip

Polite drivers, Easy to roam around and reach attractions, be mindful of traffic as we were delayed and ended up paying EV parking penalty☹️

Fantastic tour and Nick was a wonderful guide. Perfect amount of time in each location. The towns were beautiful and the henges were something to see! I would highly recommend this tour and the tour company. Excellent communication.

Interesting tour
