Mariana was a fantastic tour guide! She took us through all of the areas that we wanted to see. Would definitely recommend this as a great way to see a lot of the city in a short period of time.

Very worthwhile!

The tour was really fun & informative. We went early in our trip so we could return to some places. Our guide, Ale, was absolutely fabulous! We learned so much about Catalunya from her, and gained a much deeper appreciation for the place.

What an incredible experience! Alejandra the very BEST!! I've done other bike tours and they've been average at most (cough, cough Paris...). However, this one stood out like no other! It was fun, spontaneous, hip, and incorporated some very unique sightings. We even visited a Botero sculpture. 5/5 Recommend!! Best bike tour I've been on and also solo traveler friendly :)

This was an excellent tour that started at the beach, took us through much of historic Barcelona, and to many places we never would have discovered on our own. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable and the riding was easy and appropriately paced.

Great afternoon!

We had an amazing afternoon peddling around the Gothic and Borne neighborhood with Mariana. The pace was great and the experience was awesome. Very neat way to see parts of the city you wouldn’t normally see! Mariana shared her Barcelona with us, right down to one of her favourite coffee shops! 😀

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful bike tour

This was quite simply an amazing bike tour and all 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed it and it was one of the highlights of our weekend in the beautiful city of Barcelona. Our host and guide Alejandra was fantastic and so warm, welcoming, friendly and informative. Alejandra also took us during the tour to a great tapas bar (Els Sortidor del Parliament) where we enjoyed wonderful food, beer and wines. If when visiting Barcelona you are looking to do a bike tour then I would look no further than Steel Bike Donkey Tours as they will not only provide you with a very enjoyable tour but also provide you with a wonderful insight into this beautiful city and take you to places you might not otherwise get to see.

Best Bike Tour!! A must do!

Absolutely amazing tour, can't fault it one bit! Our wonderful tour guide, Alessandra was incredible. She showed us parts of the city we would not have seen without her experience, the graffiti area was a particular hit with us, especially as our bride to be (we were on a hen party) was able to graffiti on one of the walls - all arranged by our guide. We all felt safe at all times, we felt welcome, special and had a really fun time with lots of laughs. Great activity!

Fantastic bike tour with Julio

A great tour around Barcelona with Julio who was informative & knowledgeable about the historical & modern Barcelona. We had a great time and really enjoyed Julio's map drawing in the sand - great fun!

Fine, but bring snacks

It was just fine. We enjoyed the tour, biking, and guide, but we were given no real food or drink breaks the entire time; not at all what I expected give the tour description including cafes, churros, etc.. The whole group was quite hungry and unhappy by the end.

Fantastic afternoon bike tour with Nico

Nico showed us a great, informative ride around Barcelona! We stopped for a snack and water which allowed time for nice conversation! I’d highly recommend this tour. We rode e-bikes so it was very relaxing! Ask for Nico, he’s a great guide!!

See the real Barcelona

Excellent way to see the Barcelona you normally would not see. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and very patient. All that is required for a good time is some basic cycling skills and a sense of adventure.

Fantastic way to see many different neighbourhoods of Barcelona. Leisurely pace. Great tips of locals places to eat and drink. So much content. Alejandro was enthusiastic and interesting throughout the whole tour.

Wonderful Bike Tour Experience with Augustine

Really great bike tour of Barcelona. Our only regret is that we didn't do this tour on day 1 to give us a small overview of Barcelona. Augustine was wonderful. Lots of knowledge.

Alex was an amazing guide. We saw true Barcelona!

Alex, our guide was very charming, and took us through the most beautiful back streets of Barcelona where everything is pedestrianised. It was stunning.. and Alex was just so informative, and it helps that he is a history and geography teacher in Barcelona. Born and bred here - he knew everything!

Alex was great! He was so knowledgeable and gave such interesting information. Absolutely loved our tour. Was so happy we decided to spend our afternoon with them!

Great way to see the Real Barcelona

Our Guide Was Alessandra. A Little Pocket Rocket, full of life and passion for her city of Barcelona, it's history and it's culture. She was engaging, friendly and inclusive of everyone in the group of 7 riders. We went to places around the city that we may have never visited. We stopped for some delicous Catalonion tapas lunch at one of her favourite places. Would never have found it as most eateries around hotels and touristy areas have same Anglicized food. It's safe and easy to ride the streets as there are dedicated bike lanes throughout the city. Well worth the money.

Best Part of Our Trip to Spain!

Our tour with Steel Donkey Bike Tours was the highlight of our trip to Spain. It was the perfect way to see the city with our five , eleven and Thirteen year old children. We were able to see some of the most iconic sights in the city and some lesser know sites as well. Overall it was a great experience!

Great overview of City by bike.

Nil was the perfect tour guide for the fun ride around the city of Barcelona. My husband and I and adult sons and one of their girlfriends rode all afternoon through the city. We learned so much from Nil and experienced different neighborhoods up close. I’m close to age 70 and was able to keep up with no problem. Definitely recommend.

Tour of a lifetime

Our tour with Alejandra was AMAZING!! Her love for Barcelona is obvious - she’ll take you to incredible spots along the route & will always take the time to snap the most amazing pictures!! I felt safe the entire time - I would ABSOLUTELY take another tour with Alejandra!! If you want to see spots that you wouldn’t probably find on your own in such a BIG city she’s the guide for you!! I will NEVER forget the bike tour with her!!! Absolutely loved her!!

Best way to tour Barcelona!!!

My husband and I had the best time touring the city with Alejandra! She was an amazing guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the sites we saw and very sweet. We were able to stop and take pictures so we didn’t miss anything. This was by far a great way to see the city. We were able to see so many different neighborhoods as well as culturally important sites not listed in the guidebooks. Definitely recommend

Great way to cover a lot of the city. We had a bigger group than advertised but Alejandra kept us together and safe. Beautiful day.

Pablo was a real gentleman, made sure all of the team was comfortable on the bikes before starting then took use around all the main sights with details review of each landmark we cycled past! Definitely hit him up for a city tour as a business activity

Great way to explore Barcelona

We went on this tour on a Friday afternoon, the day after we arrived in Barcelona. It was a great way to spend the afternoon and to cover much of the city. We seen alot more than if we had chosen a walking tour. Our guide was Paolo and he was knowledgeable and fun. If you had a question about something, he would answer. Otherwise we had time to just enjoy the scenery and discover quieter parts of the city.

Super fun and educational

We hit the shoreline first which was nice to gave the shade later in the day. Our group talked a lot and asked a lot of questions. Mariana and Pablo were wonderful!!!!

Great bike tour with Julio

Sceptical at first as I was worried I was going to be cycling up and down hills and struggling to keep up. This was not the case. Good experience, got to see a lot of Barcelona and without getting sore feet. Relaxing bike ride taking in the sites and history provided my Julio. Julio is excellent - ask for him Highly recommended

Good fun on two wheels!

The tour was execellent because the tour guide was very friendly and a fountain of infomation. We (adult, 9yr and 13yr old( would thoroughly recommend it! Off the beaten track, good fun and a nice chilled pace with a very small group size compared to other tours we saw. The only thing I would change is that you seriously need to give better meet up location instructions. 100% of the people on our tour, ie not just us, got lost trying to find the meet up point! If you are reading this and are lost it is actually in front of the big red Barcelona Yacht club sign down the steps under the bridge. Google Maps takes you to outside the casino on top of the bridge...

Fun for families

Our family enjoyed the 3 hour tour around some of the quarters of Barcelona. They had a kids bike and a baby seat for our young ones which made the trip super fun. They didn’t go too fast and the guide was bilingual making it easy for us to keep up with the guide

One day in Barcelona

The tour was not as expected. We have done many city bike tours around the world and I would put this at the bottom. Our guide was very nice and tried hard, but her English language skills were not very good so we really didn't understand much of what she said. She also lost the group in the crowds and kept stopping in very sunny and noisy spots rather than looking for some more shady areas as the temp was around 35C and it was very hot. We ended the tour early as we simply lost interest at a certain point as did the other family that was on the tour. It's a shame as Barcelona is a beautiful city with lots of history and architecture, but this was not the best experience unfortunately. On a separate note, it's also very clear that the people of Barcelona do not like people on bikes and make that very clear as they seem to go out of their way to block bikes and make comments and get angry if you ring your bell to let them know that you're behind them. In fact our tour guide warned us not to ring our bells as she said that people would not react well.

Alejandra was such a wonderful and fun tour guide catering to group of 6 people both with a mix of ages. She was very knowledgeable and passionate with the history of Barcelona. She takes pride in her tours rehearsing safe routes and is very attentive to the members ensuring we enjoy our time in Barcelona giving us recommendations. Would highly recommend

An Absolute Must!

What a phenomenal afternoon! Alejandra is solid gold and exceeded our expectations in every way possible to create the BEST day. What an amazing way to see Barcelona and learn so much of the history, culture, and heart of the people. The bikes are comfortable and navigation was easy.
