Sailing Cruise in Barcelona led by Young & Local Captain

No Go!

Zero experiences. The cruise was cancelled 30 minutes prior to sailing. Understandable due to weather conditions all day. We were already at the dock when notification was receive. No consideration for expense — taxi or time wasted. I agree with the cancellation, but the captain should have let us know earlier so we could have made other plans. We are very impressed with Viator on other excursions, this sucks however!

Seeing Barcelona from a unique perspective

The views were amazing. Arnau was the best captain, he gave us drinks and snacks. He played some music and let us jump in the water. We took so many nice pictures❤️You wont regret taking this cruise. Many thanks!!!🤩

An amazing sunset experience!

Our skipper David was an absolute pleasure to sail with. He was very knowledgable, kind and had a great attitude! It was very nice to have refreshments onboard as well. I would definitely recommend this experience for all visitors coming to Barcelona! Five stars!! Cheers!

Great boat experience

David & Oriol we’re amazing host for the boat tour. The gave us a tour, played good music, and have good conversations with us ladies. As an American it was a nice mix of locals and travelers. Plus we got a Polaroid of the experience, great location for food and drinks after the trip. I’ll definitely be back one day soon!

Sailing Barcelona

We did the sunset tour and even though it was too cloudy to see the sun, we still had a great time! Our group and especially the captain were very open and welcoming. We started with a tour near the city, where we got a lot of knowledge that you wouldn't pick up on a typical sightseeing tour, for example about different ships in the harbor. After that, we went further out along the coast, learning even more about the city and even almost seeing dolphins. Throughout the whole tour, we always felt taken care of - there were a lot of different drinks, snacks, and because it got a bit cold, we also got a blanket. We definitely recommend this to anyone seeking a different and unique sightseeing experience.

Fun and beautiful!

Our guide and sailor was amazing! So fun and beautiful! It was a little cloudy but the sun came through some and we had a great time and met some nice people. Cava was good too!

Perfect sunset cruise

From initial inquiries to post trip check in the Vela boat crew we're amazing. Really good customer service, a wonderful trip around the harbour and tracking along the coast watching the world go by. Gorgeous sunset, snacks, drinks and hospitality provided. Thanks. Definitely recommend

Great experience!

The sunset cruise we took (we opted for the earlier one) was amazing! Not only was David friendly and welcoming, he gave us some insight into Spanish architecture and history and even some fun things to do while we were in town. The trip lasted around 2 hours and was a bit chilly on the day we went. We had snacks and drinks and they even gave us a blanket. Overall, 5 stars!

Great view of Barcelona

Really nice time. David was super nice, and they were very prepared. 2 hours was a perfect amount of time, and we got to see a great sunset. Highly recommended!

Amazing and incredible trip! Probably the best sailing experience in Barcelona. The perfect way to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon during the sunset. The captain and hosts were excellent and very welcoming. I really recommend it!!

Great sunset trip on the water

Great boat trip. We got lucky in that we had a very small group, only the two of us plus the captain and a helper. It was a full 2hrs on the boat. Not much wind so we're we're under power vs sailing. Light snacks (crackers/nuts) and red wine to drink. Would recommend to others. Be aware there's nothing else around the marina so it's kinda hard to get to/from.

Last night of our Europe trip!

If you are looking for a wonderful evening on the ocean, this is your thing! We had a fantastic experience as the last night of our 5 amd a half week tour of Europe ...David was fabulous, knowledgeable and taught us all how to captain the yacht! A must do!!!

The most beautiful, amazing and special experience, one that I would definitely remember! Stunning sunset views, so relaxing, an amazing playlist (which I now have saved to remember the trip!), great options for drinks and a Polaroid picture to take at the end to remember the experience! Best way to relax in Barcelona

This was a perfect way to spend a couple of hours relaxing in the afternoon. There was seven of us on boat which left plenty of room to move around. There was very little wind so sailing was difficult, however this made for a better swim stop which was very nice. Alessio and Lis were very accomadating but also allowed you space to relax. When we return to Barcelona we will be sure to try their pizza evening!

We took the sunset sail! It was so beautiful and peaceful. The cava was great and the sunset was gorgeous.

Lovely sunset boat trip

Me and two friends went on the sunset boat trip with the captain David. It was so nice and cozy - even with the crazy waves the trip was so fun and nice! We will definitely come back and visit when we’re back in Barcelona☀️

Scenic, relaxing and fun with friends and family on this sunset cruise!

I booked the sunset cruise as a mother daughter trip with my girls and my friend and her daughter and we had the very best time! Our daughters had a blast and we loved getting to relax and enjoy wine and the scenic views of Barcelona. Lis was the sweetest captain and we just adored her! We could not recommend this experience more and it will be one that our children are talking about for years to come. Thank you!!

Mediterranean dream

We weren’t able to book the 7:30 trip because it was full, so we took the 4:30 trip and we are SO glad we did!! David greeted us with a smile and informed us that we were the only 3 on the boat for our 4:30 trip! We had the boat all to ourselves. Private boat trip!!! Prepared with some snacks and wine (and offers of beer), we set sail. The view of the Med from Barcelona is beautiful but the view of Barcelona from the Med??? You don’t want to miss it! We had full sun and perfect winds, and David encouraged us to make full use of the boat. My husband stayed with David to enjoy the shade (and David’s easy conversation), and my daughter and I took our wine to the bow for the remainder of the 2 hours. It was pure relaxation and gorgeous views. Don’t hesitate. Book this trip and get away from it all for a couple of hours.

Lovely sail with views of Barcelona

This was a very relaxing sail. Although we didn’t get much of a sunset due to the smoke from the Canadian wildfire smoke, we got some great views of Barcelona. I would highly recommend this trip if you want to relax and enjoy a sailboat. I will say that when they mention light snacks on board, that just means some crackers, but the beverages will be plenty.

What an amazing afternoon and with so many trips to choose we definitely made the right decision. David looked after us brilliantly and was so knowledgeable of the area which makes a massive difference. Beautiful boat too and felt very personal as there were only 5 people on the trip including my family of 4. Would absolutely recommend. Amazing

The Captain was very polite and accommodating. I was running late and he waited which was amazing because this was the one thing I was looking forward too. We explored the whole Barcelona coast and he showed the historical points. There was only 4 of us including the captain, this made the experience better because we where not squashed, unlike some of the other tour boats I saw. Overall definitely recommend, your missing out.

Great trip with Captain Danni. This is a much more engaging sail on an actual sailboat (vs the large party catamarans with loud music etc). We went out on a cloudy evening but still very enjoyable on the water , returned to port under a beautiful sunset and we’re treated to a rainbow as well. Highly recommend for couples and families looking to enjoy a quiet sail and hear about Barcelona from the local captain.

Great experience with the Vela team!

Great experience with the Vela team! Booking our 2-hour sea getaway was really easy and the welcome was very warm. We spent two hours on the sailboat with a super nice and always smiling captain. We enjoyed quality drinks and appetizers (ham/fruit chips, etc.), and even got to take the helm and maneuver the boat in open waters because the conditions were favorable. We will gladly do it again and highly recommend trying this unique experience. Thank you, Vela team!

A must if you are...

A must if you are visiting Barcelona and want to experience it to the max!! Went there with my girlfriend and had an amazing time, not only enjoying the view and sail but also conversing with the skipper, David, who was an wonderful guy. He explained everything we were looking at as we sailed, let us ride the boat and made us feel really comfortable and welcomed. He definitely added to the experience. It was unforgettable! We loved the sailing experience! Álvaro, Alessio and Alison were wonderful hosts, went to find us in the harbour, and kept us great company during the whole trip. We loved the whole experience! The view of Barcelona from the sea is stunning! We had wonderful weather and beautiful pink sky sunset! Highly recommended!

Alvaro was awesome; friendly & knowledgeable captain and host. We saw the most beautiful sunset and the rising of a full moon. It was magic. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something really special!

Absolutely a must when visiting!! Not only did we make new friends but Alvaro was extremely nice and accommodating! Felt very relaxed and easy going plus very knowledgeable! We had so much fun and really enjoyed the Polaroid photo. The snacks and glass of wine was a nice touch.

Great experience

The wines and snacks were great during our sailing experience in Barcelona. Although the temperature was a little chilly, we sailed under a blanket and that wasn't a problem. It was a nice and cozy experience.
