David Chacon, was our guide. He truly was handpicked from God for us. Each spot he brought us to was described historically so beautifully that you felt you were there when Gaudí created it. The tour was perfectly paced and when we left I felt I had a rich history lesson and an appreciation for something I never knew existed. Rosa is an excellent story teller. An superb experience. Sort of like having a friend with an interest in history guide you though the cathedral. Just perfect. Our 13 year old son loved it, too.

A wonderful guide for our family tour of Sagrada Familia!

Rosa was a terrific guide for Sagrada Familia! She was extremely knowledgeable about all the history and architectural aspects of the cathedral, and she made the information interesting and accessible for our family, including our 8 and 12 year old children. Not only did we learn about Gaudi and his work on Sagrada Familia, but also the other artists and architects that have contributed to this amazing architectural work, which we learned was an important part of Gaudi’s vision. We highly recommend Rosa if you are looking for a private guide!

Family tour of Segrada Familia

Our guide could not have been more well educated and informed about the history and intricacies of this cathedral, and the life of Gaudi. We spent an hour with him prior to even entering the doors, and learned so much more than from our two prior visits. He was exceptional.

The Sagrada Familia is stunning and thanks to our tour guide Luce this was an exceptional experience! She was delightful company and extremely knowledgeable. We learned about the history, the religious symbolism, the vision of Gaudi...and so much more. Being first time visitors to Barcelona, Luce was able to give us insight and information about the city which was very helpful in planning the rest of our time. We have used Viator on past trips and have been very pleased.

Terrific tour of Sagrada Familia

David gave us an awesome tour of Sagrada Familia! He brought all of the details to life and helped us appreciate Gaudi’s vision. My husband, 21 yo son, 19 yo daughter, and my father all enjoyed the tour. A private tour is the way to go if you like to ask a lot of questions! David also gave us a terrific restaurant recommendation for lunch and it was delicious! I highly recommend David and this tour.

The astonishing temple with the expert coments of David to know it’s history and specially the inside stories amd curiosities he knows make the visit a great experience. Great Private Tour

This was a very nice tour. My wife and I had visited the Sagrada Familia several times previously and this tour allowed us to just focus or refocus on those issues that were of most interest to us. This great Cathedral is continuing to near its 2026 completion and is truly spectacular.

Great Flexibility

Took this tour in Oct 2019 (family of 3). This was a private tour and had the flexibility to schedule it around other tours we had that day. David was the (owner / manager) who arranged the tickets and Lupe was our site tour guide. David was able to get the Sagrada Tower tour tickets which we would highly recommend in addition to the tour. And Lupe was the guide we met. She was awesome. Very interested in sharing her knowledge and patient to answer questions from our 14 year old. Would highly recommend this tour and tour company (great experience)...

Sagrada familia skip the line private tour

We just had a marvelous and informative tour with Guadalupe. She was prompt, kind, passionate, and very knowledgeable. She gave us a good sense of Gaudi’s history as well as the ongoing life of the church. She showed us all the symbolism in the carvings and colors as well as the geometrical structure of the church. We could not have fully appreciated this masterpiece without Lupe. Also, not having to stand in line or listen to a monologue on headphones was a big plus. Thank you very much, Lupe!

Guadalupe was our guide and she was amazing!

I highly recommend booking this tour. We did several tours in Barcelona and this was by far the best. Guadalupe's insights and historical content was amazing. She made the place come alive. And even though we were at Sagrada Familia on a cloudy day, she described what different ambient external light would do to the interior color. She took her time and answered all of my husband's questions (many) and even went with us through the small museum exhibit as well. If you are planning on seeing Sagrada Familia you should book with Guadalupe.

Guadalupe was FANTASTIC

Our private guide was a lady named Guadalupe--she told us to call her Lupe. She was extremely knowledgeable and so passionate. She spent all the time needed--did not pay attention to the time allotment really. She just wanted to make sure we had a great experience and we did. Ask for her and enjoy a wonderful tour of this magnificent structure.

A Great Experience

I am always apprehensive about booking a tour on line in a foreign country. But Guiding Barcelona's 1.5 hour guided tour of the Sagrada Familia was outstanding. Our guide (Alexia?) was absolutely delightful. She was at the meeting point 15 minutes early, which i appreciated because we came early to afford time to correct any confusions that might arise. She expedited us thru security, and paced the tour wonderfully, ending at precisely 90 minutes after we began. My catholic wife was entranced by the iconography, knowing all of the biblical and liturgical references that Gaudi incorporated. She could have spent much more time examining the carvings of scenes, people and references with which she is familiar. Me? Not catholic. So I was struck by the Sagrada as an engineering marvel. How the weight is supported; the interior so light and uplifting compared to northern european cathedrals. I was impressed by Alexia's ability to add to both of our appreciations of the structure. If you're reading this, you've probably decided already to visit the Sagrada. Whatever your perspective, Alexia will make the most of your experience.

Amazing building and fantastic guide...

Wow, what an amazing place! This really is one of the most interesting buildings we have visited and with David as our tour guide, it really felt like we got the most out of our visit. David was waiting promptly at the location provided in the confirmation email, and we got started on our private family tour right away. David started off with some detailed explanations about the progress of the construction, and then provided more details about the exterior facade and towers. We opted to purchase some Tower tickets which David facilitated. Entry to the interior was through the private guide entrance and was pretty fast considering how busy the place was. We then moved inside and again David provided great details and facts along the tour. He also had a tablet with lots of pictures providing more information about the construction as well as showing off how the interior looks during different times of the day and throughout the year. We visited the relocated schoolhouse and the museum which lets you look down on Gaudi's tomb. David, left us to travel up the towers ourselves as they had a small line and we had already spent nearly 2 hours with him. Don't let the lack of reviews put you off, this was a great tour and David did an amazing job.

Excellent tour of an absolutely amazing masterpiece

We were met by our guide David Chacon outside the official gift shop. It’s was extremely hot and busy at the Sagrada Família, right from the start we were very happy to have pre booked our tour. David was very friendly and professional. The tour was informative and an amazing experience. We could have spent the entire day at Sagrada Família. This is a must see when in Barcelona. Would recommend booking a tour before hand, if you can the private tour is the way to go, with the best guide David.

Great visit

David was a great tour guide. We had a group of 7, where 3 of them were under the age of 4. There were obvious times when our kids would be fussy, but David still handled the tour well. We found the information on the tour very interesting and David delivered it with enthusiasm throughout. Would definitely recommend this tour

Fantastic tour and guide

Fernando was exceptional! We were a group of 8 and were very well attended to by Fernando. He was patient with all our questions (3 engineers in our group) and spent a good amount of time showing us the Sagrada Família. He provided many details of Gaudí and of the project. Definitely recommend taking this tour!

Sagrada Família family tour

David was fantastic! He taught us so much about the details of the Sagrada Família - things we would have absolutely missed if we had done the tour on our own! Even the less enthusiastic ones in the family loved it! And it was a huge bonus to be able to skip the lines on a super crowded day!

Excellent Decision

My daughters and I made a last minute decision to travel to Barcelona and found ourselves scrambling to find a tour of the Sagrada Familia. After searching through multiple travel sights, we stumbled upon this tour and, I have to say it was an excellent decision. On the day of our tour the weather wasn't great (colder and raining), but our tour guide David did not cancel and even waited for us despite us being several minutes late. David did not just provide a full, in detail background of the church, but he gave us a through explanation of the architectural history as well as insight into the life of Gaudi. He was very kind, helpful, and my daughters and I can say with confidence that we learned a lot from him. The meeting location was very easy to find and David made the big crowds and unfortunate weather seem inconsequential. I would definitely recommend this tour to any family, group, or individual because it is worth the money a great way to explore this historical landmark.
