Wonderful 5 star experience!

Omid was an amazing tour guide! Before I arrived in Barcelona, I had a question and when I asked through Viator, I received a response promptly. When I was here, he had excellent communication and let me know how close he was to pick up. He was so kind, and knowledgeable about everything. You can tell that he is very passionate about the area and really put in a lot of work preparing the tour. I only wish the tour was longer, as it felt quite rushed in the Dali Museum. I would have liked to stay at least another hour to wander around on my own. It was not Omid fault though, as the museum was packed full of people and other tours. If you are visiting Barcelona, I highly recommended you to stay a couple nights in Girona as it is so beautiful and less crowded than Barcelona. Next time I visit, I plan to book a few nights here so I can explore some more, hopefully with Omid again :) I highly recommend!

Great Experience

Luis picked us up from the hotel lobby. We appreciated the text message from the night before and when he was on the way in the morning. He was highly knowledgeable about the history of Girona and Figures, as well as Dali museum. We also really appreciated leading us to clean bathrooms. I highly recommend Luis.

An eye opening experience

Omid is excellent! I’m impressed by his preparation and deep knowledge in this area. We are so lucky to have him as our guide today!

A real fiasco

The tour started with an already delay due to the faulty scheduling of pick-ups. It then worsened with a flat tire that caused us to wait in the highway for more than an hour and a half. The result was running the rest of the trip. The most amazing thing was the lack of feedback to 2 emails I wrote to the company. They didn’t think they should take any responsibility for the unpleasant trip. It was a complete waste of an entire very expensive day in Barcelona. Very annoying.

Girona and Dali

We had a wonderful private tour with Ventura. Our pick up was on time and we were promptly on our way. The first stop was at Girona, a beautiful historic town. Ventura pointed out and explained the most important sites. We had some free time to shop and had a drink at a cafe overlooking the cathedral. Then onto the highlight of the tour, the Dali Museum in Figures. Ventura arranged a dining reservation for lunch and our timed entry tickets. The museum is vast, but Ventura made sure we saw the most important works of art. A wonderful day!

He had a great sense of humor and also gave us a great recommendation for lunch! We really loved every bit of the trip and how there were only a few of us on it; it felt so much more personable.

This was the first time booking through Viatar and we were very pleased. Luis was a fine guide. Girona was very interesting and the Dalí Museum was amazing. While it is a long day, it goes by quickly… a great balance of guided tour and free time. Highly recommended!

Luis contributed to an amazing Dali Museum experience. He showed us the most precious artworks of Dali’s that catapulted him to his fame. There were pieces of art that he explained explicitly how to decipher the artist’s work, so invaluable lessons that one never knows just from looking at a painting. Truly, we realize how Dali was a genius in every aspect. Definitely, you not miss this tour! It was one of THE best experiences in Barcelona!!!

Excellent day trip to Girona and Dali Museum

Vincent is absolutely the best tour guide! He provided so much information it makes this trip both entertaining and informative. We were picked up at around 8am and dropped off around 6pm. There were 7 persons in our group and it was just right. He was very communicative and helpful. I highly recommend this day trip!

Must-do!

Experience was great! Despite the full day, the itenerary did not feel tiring not rushed. Anatoli was extremely informative, professional and fun all at once. We had ample time to roam around on our own time when we weren't together as a group. Highly recommend for solo travelers!

Unexpected private tour with a passionate pro

This was my third visit to the Dali Museum and second time in Girona. Anatoli was a superb guide and driver who further educated me on Dali, Catalonia and so much more. Truly blessed to have him be my dad and I’s private tour guide since we found ourselves lucky enough to be the only ones to book this particular tour on this day. Felt like I got way more than my money’s worth. This won’t be the last time I do this tour thats for sure!

Marvelous Girona and the Peculiar Dalí

Marcelo was a great tour guide! He exhibited great enthusiasm for the history of Girona and the life of Salvador Dalí. Pickup and dropoff times were as expected and the drive was a great way to see Catalonia outside of Barcelona. The experience allows for an opportunity to eat in Figueres with some options near the Dalí museum. We highly recommend this experience if you love exploring medieval architecture and you are a fan of Dalí's work. The Dalí museum was unlike any other museum we have ever been to. It's very much a theatre that houses a collection of his works. It's a chance to get inside the mind of the great and complex artist with a number of paintings, sculptures and curiosities. There's also a great gift shop to explore at the end!

Compact Girona & Costa Brava trip

If you're looking for a condensed trip with great information on the areas of Costa Brava and Girona, then I would recommend heading for this tour!

Great time at Girona and Dali Museum

We had a great time on the tour with Luis our guide. The tour started with hotel pickup right on time. Luis explained the history of Girona and we visited the Jewish museum there. We had lunch - very good Italian restaurant near Dali Museum. In the museum Luis gave great insight to special features of Dali's work showing his genius. We had about an hour free time to see the rest of the museum which was enough. Everyone in our group got along well. Then we.were dropped off at our hotels.

The Dali museum is worth a journey

The Dali museum is excellent and the guide was very good. Learnt a lot about the relation to Picasso and how obsessed Dali was with wife Gala. Girona was so-so, the story is important but the visit did not really add anything. Wonderful to do the trip with daughter, daughter-in-law and best friends.

Perfect combination! Girona was beautiful and interesting and the Dali museum blew our minds. Luis our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Dali’s art and gave us a lovely detailed tour.

Excellent tour of Figueres/ Dali Museum and Girona

This day trip from Barcelona is a must do excursion! The Dali museum was incredible, and Girona was a beautiful, historical town Vicente, our guide, was a walking encyclopedia of information and delightfully funny. The driver, Joaquin, did a great job transporting us everywhere. I highly recommend this tour for a day trip from Barcelona!

Dali Museum Worth the Trip!

Girona had a fun wall to walk around the small town. There were a couple of beautiful cathedrals as well but not much else that we saw other than shops. I would have liked more of a detailed tour of the area including the history. There was a small tour at the beginning for Girona but would have been nice to know more. For Figueres, again, it would have been nice to get some information about the town and why it’s well-known etc. the Dali museum is definitely worth a visit though - surprising and unlike most museums.

This is THE Dali day tour!!!

This was an amazing tour! Gaspar was so knowledgeable, he spent our drive up to the Museum giving us Dalí and Spanish background then gave us a truly incredible tour while in the museum. His Dali knowledge made this experience worth absolutely every penny. The rest of our day in Cadaqués was perfect and he knew all the best spots and how to make the most of our experience. The touch of genuine care and interest in what our small tour group wanted to learn more about was so great. Gaspar unexpectedly had two different languages on our tour and he was a champion making sure everyone understood in both English and Spanish. It was seriously impressive. Our group was made up of 4 couples, we are in our 30s and were on our honeymoon exploring Barcelona. This is the Dali tour you MUST take.

Great tour guide and sights!

Great experience with Vicente and a savvy tourist that can navigate thru difficulties. The tour van broke down before pickup and we had to wait for a new van. Despite the delays, we made up for the lost time. Great tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide who had an in depth knowledge of Dali and Girona. If it wasn’t for Vicente at the Dali museum, we wouldn’t have known what we were looking at and which paintings to focus on when we had time on our own. Vicente knows Dali very well! 5 stars for service, knowledge, and the sights!

Wonderful Tour

The tour was wonderful. Marcello took great care of us, answering all our questions and sharing fascinating stories about Dali. He recommended a very good restaurant for lunch. We met some amazing people in our group. I wish we had exchanged contact information with the girls from Georgia—they seemed wonderful, and it would have been cool to stay in touch. We had a fantastic time that we’ll always remember. We highly recommend this tour!

We had a great time today. Our driver came on time. He was very punctual. We've gone to Gerona and he showed us very beautiful places. He is very knowledgeable. After that he took us to Dali museum. Highly recommend!

My daughter (31) and I (51) attended together and loved everything about it (the options below to say who we were w/ does not include just family, so I chose family teens, though my daughter is an adult). Girona is a beautiful city, w/ breathtaking midieval buildings. Our tour guide Miquel was excellent, very knowledgeable, personable, entertaining, and a very good driver. The Dali museum was well worth the visit and so very interesting. My favorite painting was "Portrait of Galarina" - I will never forget seeing that painting of Dalis wife, Gala, in person, it was absolutely exquisite and made me emotional. We highly enjoyed the passion our tour guide Miquel had in sharing his expertise on the artwork and history of Salvador Dali.

The day trip to Girona and Dali museum was wonderful. Marcelo our driver and guide picked us up from our location drove us to the locations and back very safely. Along the trip he shared great information with us. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience!

The tour is wonderful! Well organized, with a nice transportation, right time planning for sights visits and for free time as well. Our tour guide Marcelo, was attentive and took care of each of us. He is friendly, knowledgeable person with a great sense of humor. The small group tour has its advantages, as one can enjoy more personalized experience. The Dali museum is a must do, even if you are not an art lover, the place will amaze you; and Girona with its medieval charm will create another memory of your trip.

This was a great day trip…Girona is so cute and I wish we could have been there longer. The Dali Museum is unique and displays the artists creativity very well.

Lovely day trip out of Barcelona

Miguel kept our attention and was full of good information during both the walking tour of Girona and the personal tour of the Dali Museum. Our tour group was 12 people, so we were split up into 2 vehicles for transportation but it did not affect our tours of the locations themselves. Miguel knows the history and art of Dali very well and did a great job of spreading his enthusiasm!

A week spent day outside of Barcelona!

We had a great time in Girona and at Dali Museum. All the positive reviews you read about Luis are accurate. Very good guide and very knowledgable about both locations. You can feel his passion for the history of Girona and his deep knowledge of Dali and the importance of Gala!

Great trip

Great trip. Very informative guide. Not enough time at the Dali museum. Good hints for lunch spots. There was some time lost in Girona when our rendezvous spot was blocked by bridge maintenance work.

Dali!

Luis was great! He picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at the end of the day. He was very patient with the slower people in our group. He is very knowledgeable about the area. The best part is Luis’ knowledge of, and passion for, Dali! His tour was filled with all kinds of info you won’t get from a book or any other guide. We highly recommend Luis!

Good tour but much too crowded

Luis was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our trip. However, both Girona and the Dali museum were SO crowded, it was overwhelming. I'm glad I went but wouldn't go again.

Go see Girona and the Dali museum with Miquel!

Miquel was our guide and he was the was the perfect one for this trip because he obviously loved Dali, was clearly passionate about his job, and hilariously funny. We had a group of 7 people total, two of the guests were from Brazil and I was amazed by how quickly Miquel switched between English and Spanish to ensure everyone in the group understood. It’s also important to note that his English was very clear and his driving skills were very good. We deliberately chose a “small group” tour and it helped especially when we were in the extremely crowded Dali museum and he was able to provide a back story to Dali’s most important pieces of art. It was also a nice perk that he was able to jump the long line of other visitors. Unrelated to Miquel, we also lucked out with the other members of our tour…3 lovely people from Fresno and the 2 aforementioned people from Brazil who didn’t speak any English but that didn’t stop them from trying to communicate with us! Everyone was so nice and friendly. One last thing worth mentioning…it was especially nice to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Some other tours make you meet at a central location. I would highly recommend this tour.

A surreal excursion

The Dali museum was wow and Girona is beautiful. Luis, our guide, was very informative and revealed and explained many Dali nuances - in his paintings and related to the museum building and Dali's life.
