A great day trip to the Pyrenees and Andorra

Our tour guide Antonio was excellent. Very knowledgeable about Andorra (and the whole area between Barcelona and Andorra). The day was uncharacteristically snowy - especially for March - but Antonio managed to get us around safely and we still saw many sights throughout our tour. Interesting churches, beautiful vantage points and a chance to see the picturesque towns of Andorra. This was what we wanted.

Antonio was a great guide. Andora is about 3 hours from Barcelona but worth it. We liked this tour because tour was personalized to us. We visited several towns. He is very informative on the history and we learned a lot. There is a lot to see but this gives you a quick snapshot off the country. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful restaurant and had som Andorran dishes. Highly recommend.

Melhor maneira de conhecer Andorra When i was searching how i would plann my trip to Andorra from Barcelona, my bigges issue was, i only had 1 day, so ineould have to maie the most of it. So i found With locals, that proposed a private tour where i could costumize acording to my needs. Thats exacly what happened. We where able to reach diferent parts of Andorra, not only the main city, we went to pictoresque smaller villages and scenary. Tony knows the place as the palm of his hand, so you make the plan and he makes it happen. If you dont have many days to spare, and you really wanna know the country, not just the shops at the center (wich we still did go by the way), i believe this is your best option!

My Bucket List Item!

This was on my Bucket List since I was 12 years old! I am so glad we did it, and having Sebastian was great. He was very accommodating and easy going. I would highly recommend...and he is also a warehouse of stories and information. We enjoyed his company...which is nice when you have a 3 hour trip!

Ivana is the best person to show you Andorra. Ivana is a fantastic customer service and good listener.

Ivana, our guide and the car operator made the whole trip excellent. She was very punctual and extremely knowledgeable of what to see where to eat. She knew lots of historical facts. She knew this area between Spain and Andorra very well. She was very sweet, caring, and always trying her best to accommodate our request ad she did. The only tiny suggestion I have to the tour operator is please provide big car with comfortable seats, as I and my family were tall people the car was very small and my back started hurting after some time. I don't mind paying more money to have a big comfortable car. Next time when I book cross international border tour I will ask for a big car and comfortable car seats and without it I won't book any future tours.

Taking a private tour is the way to go!

The views were amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Andorra! Antonio is a wonderful guide! He is an excellent driver and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing both the city and the mountains in such an interesting and unique place. Great day trip from Barcelona.

Sebastian was a great driver. Ride was comfortable and informative. He was able to give us lots of good advice about things to do in Barcelona.

Great tour

Antonio was excellent. He provided history, information and tailored the tour to our interests. He selected a nice restaurant for lunch and gave us good recommendations for what to order.

Kind of boring

Long ride with little to see and visit. Andorra is charming and there are a few interesting structures, but nothing worth the 3 hour ride each way. Our driver/guide was pleasant enough but he talked constantly and in a low voice so he was hard to understand over the tire noise in the car. A couple of times he strayed in to political territory which is a no no for a tour guide. I would skip this one unless you just want to get a small country off you list.

Beautiful place to visit - long drive in small car

We wanted to go to another small country in Europe. It was beautiful to be up in the mountains. Our driver Sebastian was very easy to understand and friendly, and flexible on where we wanted to spend our time. Be aware that we could not access mobile data in most areas which prohibited us from finding the church. There are some free WiFi options in certain areas but spotty. Recommend downloading map information before going. As this was a very long time in the car, it was a bit uncomfortable with 3 women travelers in a small back seat of a small car. Be sure to ask what size vehicle you should expect depending on the size and weight of your traveling group.

Horrible tour operator and tour guide- rude, demeaning- stay away.

Antonio confused the day of our tour, even though on Viator the date was correct. When requesting a refund, Antonio and the tour company refused even though I had an email of Antonio confirming the correct date of the tour. He then harassed me via Whatsapp when I asked him for a refund because he had, "rented a car." He was demeaning, spoke down to me, and I would never, ever, work with him or the company again. Because it was within the 24 hour window, Viator refused to give a refund. I will never be booking with Viator again.

Unforgettable

Our Guide, Antonio, was knowledgeable about the area and was able to answer all of our questions. He took us to some great historical areas and was able to facilitate an authentic lunch. It was an amazing experience.

Day trip to Andorra from Barcelona

We spent the day with Antonio and had a wonderful day. He customized the day for us based on our interests and we had a lovely lunch on the side of a mountain at a very small local restaurant. We were three women traveling together and felt very safe with Antonio.

Fantastic journey

Wonderful drive, showing us nature highlights. Lunch at a local restaurant was fantastic. Antonio went out of his way to get our son”s passport stamped. Antonio’s knowledge of the region helped make the whole experience much more than just a regular tour.

Beautiful Andorra

Very relaxing day visiting Andorra and an excellent lunch at a family owned restaurant. We had ample time to visit several of the cities and the Capitol. Our guide was prompt, informative and friendly. We had a Ver enjoyable day.

Outstanding Day Trip to Andorra

Visiting Andorra with Antonio was a perfect experience from start to finish. We were looking for a way to experience the beauty of the Pyrenees, the culture and history of the country, with some hiking along the way, and this trip delivered on all accounts. Antonio is extremely knowledgeable and interested in making the day exactly what we wanted. He is high energy and we had great conversations in the car while going to and from Andorra. We visited Andorra la Vella as well as some other small towns and took the audioguide tour of the old Parliament building. We were quite surprised with how well organized and interesting our visit was to a very old church with accompanying museum. We made it high up into the mountains to an incredible lookout, and we hiked a short/medium trail with beautiful views of the mountains and lakes. The trails are easily modifiable based on how much hiking you want to do. Would recommend doing the restaurant option for lunch to try some authentic food at a quaint restaurant up in the mountains. Couldn't believe how much we fit into one day! Thank you, Antonio! Will definitely take more tours with you during future trips to Spain! Jeff, Sara, Jennifer, and Matt

One of our favorite tours

We thoroughly enjoyed this private day trip to the tiny principality Andorra. Our guide Antonio was knowledgeable thoughtful personable and with his guidance we felt that we really covered many of the top things to see and do in this country. Don’t miss the beautiful tiny church where, through the use of technology, Frescoes come to life in video mapping. Antonio also took us to enjoy typical Andorran food, to see the various miradors and sweeping mountain sites and hike some lakes. He was generous with his time and knowledge. I’m all we spent more than 12 hours on this tour because we wanted to and Antonio was willing to share as much with us as we could. The down side of this your is the time spent getting to an from Andorra but for us it was the only way we were likely to see it and it was well worth it.

The worst tour EVER!

DO NOT GO ON THIS TOUR! First of all no one contacted us to confirm the trip the day before like most companies do. So we were panicking and trying to find contact info. Antonio was our guide. He unfortunately forgot his wallet, which caused and panic about crossing the border and awkwardness regarding money. Antonio was completely flustered the entire day which made the trip unbearable. He would mumble things and point things out that had zero relevance. For a example, “look a cow”. Also, the two museum admissions and lunch weren’t included in the tour. He didn’t really have a plan for us. At the end of the day, after driving 6 hours total we had to go to his house so he could pay us back which added an additional 30 minutes to this LONG car ride. This is a completed OVER PRICED experience. LITERALLY all you’re paying for is a ride and some weird facts. I wish we would have just rented a car and gone ourselves.

We didn't get to go but...

While we didn't get to go on our trip to Andorra with Antonio I definitely feel he derserves a great review. We were scheduled to fly into Barcelona the day the riots started and thankfully Antonio reached out to us because there was very little news coverage here in the States. I am so glad he informed us of what was really going on because if he hadn't we may have ended in stuck in the airport, on lock down in our hotel or even worse. Thank you so much again Antonio for putting our safety first! We hope to rebook our trip with you soon.

Day Trip to Andorra with Antonio...AMAZING experience!!

We did a day trip to Andorra with Antonio on 4/16/2019 and have to say it was outstanding! From the start of the trip where Antonio was prompt in picking the four of us up and ensured the vehicle was large enough to hold us, to the 2 1/2 hr. drive to Andorra and the scenic route we took and small stop in country side to visit a quaint town and taste some local coffee and morning sweets and visit a church and the city all the way into Andorra. One can tell that Antonio knows his area and his history of what he is showing. He speaks Spanish and English fluently so there is no issue there. He has a very detailed knowledge of the history of Spain and current scene going on as well. He pointed out many areas along the drive to Andorra as well as when we arrived and visit several areas of interest there that he suggested. We also had time for a bit to eat an do some shopping there. Again, Antonio has done his homework and he knows how to get around and where to go. On the drive back, we took a different route and stopped for a late-night snack of sandwiches and such which were very tasty and hit the spot just perfect. As well as his driving is great and he was very safe the entire way there and back, never once did I feel that he was not paying attention to the road or did not have our safety in mind. All in all, I will be in touch with Antonio again when I return and hope to see him again! A+ Service!

Antonio went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule with a last minute day trip. He's very knowledgeable, professional and easy going - and crafted a perfectly relaxed day in Andorra.

Awesome tour!

Antonio, the happiness designer, is amazing! We saw about as much of the country of Andorra as we possibly could in a day trip, thanks to him. The little shop where we tasted sausage, cheese, liqueurs, and beer was a great start; seeing the capital plus many of the smaller towns, all while learning the history and culture of Andorra was exactly what we were looking for. And the 3-hour trip each way went quickly, as we engaged in lively conversation about a wide range of topics. Strongly recommend, if you can book him!

Que belleza de lugar!

Llegar a Andorra, a pesar de haberme informado de lo que era, fue una sorpresa impactante. Ver los Pirineos en todo su esplendor y, aunado a eso nevados, ya que el día anterior a mi llegada había caído la primera nevada, creó unos paisajes de postal. Y con nuestro guía lo disfrutamos al máximo recorriendo muchos lugares aledaños. Como diría mi abuelita, “quedé convidada a regresar”

Fue una excelente eleccion. Antonio nos realizo un tour donde conocimos de forma detallada a Andorra, sus parroquias, su arquitectura y sus atractivos turisticos, especialmente el museo de la miniatura, unico en el mundo por sus caracteristicas y belleza de su coleccion, la capilla de meritzell,bellisima y las pistas de esqui,formidables con unas vistas espectaculares. Estando en Barcelona quisimos ir a conocer Andorra, pero teníamos sólo 1 día. Viendo la opción de Withlocals su precio y calidad era muy conveniente. Antonio, fue el host, y realmente adapto la visita a nuestra necesidad, incluso hicimos un desvío hacia Monserrat cuando mi esposa le preguntó si podíamos ir. Muy buena experiencia
