Loved Tapas Tour

Our guide, Sofia, was great. She had a lot of energy, and made the experience fun . We tried a variety of Tapas and went to 4 Tapas places, each unique.. Highly Recommend!

A worthwhile experience

I find it a truly fulfilling experience. It went far beyond with my expectations. Learned a lot about the foods, drinks and history in Barcelona .

Great tour, slightly mismanaged by Devour

Jordy was an excellent guide. An hour into the tour it began to pour. The group was game to continue, but Jordy did trim the walking a bit for the sake of our comfort. A couple venues were overcrowded because of people getting out of the rain. The only negative for Devour was letting a couple book the tour online at the last moment. Their late and disruptive arrival was unfortunate for the good of the group. Our group was bigger than the tour had arranged with the bars and restaurants prior to their late booking, so every venue was overcrowded. Let's not mention the behavior of the late couple.

Tapas and wine, with a little history

Very enjoyable tour with great food and wine. Knowledgeable guide on the area and local history. Food was amazing with ample portions plus good quantities of sample drinks

Great Experience

The tour guide, Johnny (pronounced Chawny...lol) was very entertaining. My overall experience was great!

Great tour, great atmosphere and brilliant host

First time of taking a tour. From the start of the tour meeting our host Ewan, we knew we would have a good time. Hubby and myself didn’t know what to expect so went with the flow. There were several other couples and some single peeps. We met at the first bar and had drinks and different tasters, this gave the group chance to get to know Ewan and each other. It only went up from there, visiting different locations, learning history while eating and drinking. We could not believe the amount of food, tasters and different drinks that were on offer. Great price, great food and drinks, great host. We ended up staying for more drinks after the tour had finished with everyone. Would highly recommend. Thanks Ewan for a brilliant tour

Overall great experience.

Johnny is a great host and alit of fun. Tapas and sangria muy delicioso. The other guests made the experience even more fun.

Happily Unexpected

Our tour was great! Food was more than expected and we enjoyed a different drink with each stop. The places we went were intimate and not places you would think to go. Our guide even gave us a recommendation for a restaurant for dinner that was amazing and definitely not a tour spot. Highly recommend.

Spain May 2024

Our flight was delayed and we were late to our meeting. But with a little help from our taxi driver we were able to arrive with time to catch up, and Im glad we did. He was amazing! Everything we ate, everywhere we walked it was like a dream. I would definitely schedule this tour again when I return to Barcelona!

Host with the most!

We had to dodge raindrops with our Tour Guide Joni for the Tapas Tour - was great - especially liked the test kitchen - met the chefs - they were incredibly hospitable. Joni was able to share Barcelona history as we ate and drank our way through town.

Awesome tour

Great tour to try some great tapas, Vermut, Jamon iberico and sangria. Nice added bonus of some history of Barcelona as well!

Fantastic Experience

This was a fantastic walking tour, experiencing amazing tapas and drinks. Our guide Ewan was engaging, knowledgeable and we learned so much about the area as well. I highly recommend this walking tour. If we ever come back to Barcelona, we would do this tour again. Thank you

More of a food tour

Sally was a decent tour guide. I wish there was more historical attractions on the tour however. Seemed more like a food tour.

A cheerful time in Barcelona

The tapa bars had excellent food. Our tour guide was well versed in the history of the area and traditions. I had an amazing time engaging in conversation with people in the tour.

My friends and I had a great food tour with Andrew our guide. He was very knowledgeable and all the stops along the tour were excellent

Average experience.

It was a good Tour and I met other solo travelers like myself. The Group was a bit too large for my liking and Felt Preset/buissness-like while they tried to sell Other tours the Company offer.

A great afternoon of food, drink and laughs.

A really fun afternoon. Our guide Diana was very good making the history interesting and enjoyable. We tried some tasty tapas along the way with some great drinks too including vermouth, wine and sangria. One of the eating places was the Volana Test Kitchen - very much off the beaten track, but a beautiful building and lovely food. We had a great time with a really great group of people.

Excellent tour!

Andrew was very nice and offered small tid bits of great history info throughout the tour. The food and wine offered were dishes that we would’ve probably haven’t gotten to. Felt very authentic. Our group was small and intimate. We all sat together after our tour and chatted. 10/10

Average food.

We’ve done a number of taste tours around the world and we were excited to do one in Barcelona. Our tour guide was great but the food was very average. We thought we’d get paella and Spanish donuts and more famous dishes to try but we didn’t. Lots of alcohol though. Which was more traditional.

Excellent Barcelona Food & Wine Tour

Went on the Barcelona Tapas Walking Tour; Food, Wine & History tour in the Gothic Quarter of town. Our tour guide was Jony and he entertained us with the sights, history and cuisine of the Gothic Quarter. He made sure that we as vegetarians were totally taken care of. And the drinks were plentiful. Highly recommend this tour and hopefully you’ll get Jony as a guide.

Great way to see the city and taste the local cuisine

Our wonderful tour guide Diane was exceptional! Such a chilled out day, history was interesting and the general tour was perfect for our friends trip abroad. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Our guide was excellent and explained the intricacies of Talas as well as the drinks. He was also knowledgeable abt the culture and some history that makes Barcelona unique. Enjoyed the tour very much

Great fun!

What a great time we had! The food, beverages and tour were exceptional! We saw parts of Barcelona that we wanted to see and learned about them while having a fun time with others. We met some very nice people, and the tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely do this tour again if/when we get to Barcelona again.

Excellent Night in Barcelona

We had a great night with our tour guide, Juan Carlos,who was a dual Barcelona/USA guy. He had a quirky sense of humour which made the tour a lot of fun. He knew all the history, the social side of it as well, and it was a super fun night with a bunch of peeps we'd never met before. The Gothic Quarter at night is amazing!

Wonderful tapas tour!

Joni was a great tour guide! We loved all the history he told us about Barcelona. The food at each stop was delicious and the portions were big! We highly recommend this tour!

Great tapas tour!

Absolutely fabulous time!! Our guide, Joni, was great. We had a great group & everyone was so friendly. We easily found the meeting location, and that's where we started. We had vermouth and tapas- my favorite was the toast with goat cheese, sausage, and tomato on top. He talked about cultural history on the way to next stop. Next, I had white wine and tried mussels (first time eating them) and they were great and other items good as well. The two next stops were good... especially the last. Ended the night on a high note. I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for one in Barcelona.

This was the second time...

This was the second time I have done the tour and it is worth the money. Food is great and we even went to a test kitchen that was one of the best meals I had the whole trip. I would for sure recommend doing this tour. Our guid was amazing and gave us lots of information and history on the food and even when walking around.

Fun tapas tour.

This was a fun tour. Jenny was a great guide and everyone on the tour was very friendly. Plenty of food and wine.

A fun walk through the Gothic district and home-made Sangria

The guy in the photo was our guide - and was an expert for the tour. Raised in America but living in Barcelona his English was perfect which made things slightly easier. Unlike other walking food tours we've done, this was 4 sit-down experiences. We were definitely full at the end and got a flavor of the real Barcelona - all the stops were authentic 'local' places that you might not find on your own.

Memorable tour - 5 stars!

Amazing way to spend the afternoon. We had a wonderful tour guide. Ewing was the goat! The food was unique and tasty! Each stop was different and fun. Would recommend as a great way to see the city and experience its culture.

Good tour

This was good tour for people who eat a variety of meats. I am limited and had informed the tour company of a couple restrictions previously but on the day of the tour, they were unaware so I did not get much replacement options. The tour guide was very good and kept the group very engaged. We met a lot of lovely people from all over the world! There was a lot for my husband to eat thankfully! There were 4 stops on the tour, the third stop was least interesting and didn’t offer much in terms of food or drink however but all the other places were great, especially the test kitchen!

Fun Night tour with lots of food and wine!

We taxied over to the Las Ramlas area to join a walking food and wine tour with Joni, our guide. He was so nice and very informative.  We started with Tapas, pinchos, and Vermouth we had several, and we tried them all. Then we went on to walk the area and get a little history. We stopped at the spot where Miro, the artist, lived and worked. And then walked over to a couple of squares. We stopped off and had some aged Iberian pork and Manchego cheese.  Then off to see another square and then to a private cooking area with Sally, short for her real name but can’t remember.  The food was excellent! And would have loved to join her for a pallela night. Then, off to a little bar, we made sangria and had lots of meatballs and potato brava. Joni was a great guide and was so much fun, and the real of the group helped in having a great time.

Great night out in Barcelona!

A delicious and fun night!

We had a great time on this tapas and wine tour! It was a great group led by Joni who was so knowledgeable and entertaining! He shared his knowledge of history and art and took us to places we would not have found on our own. All of the stops had delicious wine and treats, with the amazing test kitchen which offered delicious sautéed mushrooms, garlic shrimp and chorizo. At our last stop we made sangria and Joni sang for us which was a real treat!

A WONDERFUL tour to not miss!!

This tour was GREAT! Johnny was an awesome tour guide and was so knowledgable about Catalonia and shared so much with us. This tour also allowed us to make new friends from all over the world! The tapas from all the different restaurants we went to were amazing, along with all of the traditional Spanish drinks we tried! I especially loved the Sangria making!! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Barcelona, and DEFINITELY recommend!!

A lovely way to spend an evening

Our guide was great. Charming. The guests were super nice and interesting. Food was great. Wines were great. All in all a really nice evening.

Well prepared tapas colorful food for the eyes. We walked through the Gothic quarter with our guide that explained the history of the area. Recommend this tour.

Definitely Do It!

Our guide was terrific. He knew all the ins and outs of the Barcelona food scene as well as the history of the city. This was a wonderful experience for my husband and our adult children. I highly recommend it.

Johnny was an awesome tour leader. Full of good history, art and food!! He even saw us later in the evening and went out of the way to say hi!! Tapas were awesome too ….great way to sample a variety!

Great introduction to Spanish Cuisine and Drink

Ewan is a fantastic guide, very laid back, accommodating, personable and engagingly answered all the questions from young to the not so young. The tour offered a wide range of tapas, food and drink within a historical context. Wide range of beverages which was closed out with Sangria. The test kitchen was interesting and offered touristic flavors of Spain with a twist, minus the garlic shrimp that was plain and overcooked.

We enjoyed our walking...

We enjoyed our walking tour. Our guide Juan Carlo was fun and informative. We are a retired couple and found the younger participants fun to be with.

Waste of money

We’ve done several food tours over the years before including the ‘SecretFood Tour’ of Barcelona a few years ago, I’ve done them in Dublin, Rome, Paris (twice) and Malaga (Food Sherpas) This one was very, very disappointing and to be fair to the food purveyors it was nothing to do with them, the food was very nice, especially at the Test Kitchen, Volana. My/our issue was with our guide, I believe his name is Andrew.. When I do a food tour in a foreign city I expect my guide to be a local AS ADVERTISED. This gentleman would have been a local in New York. He has very limited local knowledge to impart and was more interested in cross selling other products (a boat trip, multiple mentions) and a new bar venture he’s opening. Your ad CLEARLY says a local guide would be providing the tour, I feel this is 3 hours of my life completely wasted and actually I’d like a refund.
