Seeing the amazing...

Seeing the amazing changes to the church since I visited over 50 years ago. Our guide did an excellent job describing the story of the church and a lot of the wonderful symbolism of the art work.

Amazing tour guide

Everything about the tour was superb!! Our tour guide MARC was amazing. His English was perfect and he was extremely knowledgeable. He was prompt and we maneuvered many crowds and queues so we were always able to see and hear his commentary.

Decent Tour, a better tourguide would make it exceptional

The tourguide was late getting to the meeting place. Then she proceeded to wear her microphone in a position that made her voice muffled and hard to understand, even with the earphone transmitters on a little on the high side. She was already hard to understand with her deep accent. I guess its part of the "memorable experience". Other than the tour guide, touring the La Sagrada Familia is worth it. Its history in the making (hopefully they'll finish it soon, lol). Its a beautiful basilica and the interior colors from the outside sunlight is on another level. The weird thing is you can only capture the light colors through photos.

Illuminating and fantastic.

Our guide, Marc, was fantastic! His knowledge made the tour memorable. When we had been in 2019, we had just gone to see the inside. Marc’s ability to bring the cathedral to life was incredible.

Difficult to understand guide

Knowledgeable guide but accent was strong and difficult to understand. Beautiful place and I loved just being there though

Our tour guide Ana, was prompt, and gave excellent history and description of the tour. I’m would highly recommend this tour especially for the small group and good speaker reception.

Wonderful Guide and Tour

Our guide Roberto was so passionate about the Sagrada Familia, his goal was to make the experience transformational - and he succeeded. He emphasized everything that is outside is inside (not explaining it as well as he did).. Loved it!

The tour came on time, had much helpful information to enjoy the visit. Totally recommend it to any English speaking tourist.

Loved it!

Aranzazu was a lovely and very knowledgeable guide. She included so many details about the sculptures outside, the stained glass inside, the overall architecture, history, and progress of the cathedral, and the life, death, and vision of Gaudí himself. She was eager to answer any questions. Her stories of the progress she and her grandmother have seen over the years really brought the whole thing to life and made me understand how exciting and important this is to do many in Barcelona. Thank you for a wonderful tour! To those thinking of the towers part of the tour, you take an elevator up and walk down a very narrow and very winding stone, spiral staircase. If you don’t like tight spaces, I would advise you think about doing a tour with that part included.

Terrible Experience

The absolute worst experience ever! CityGroup tours! Horrible! Took our money$200. Tour guide location was very difficult to find, no identifier of tour guide I e flag or colored uniform. We never could find the guide. Reached out to your company and they said, “Sorry!” No help in large area with hundreds of people and variety of guides. Very disappointed that no rebate or other tours offered. TripAdvisor— better vetting of guides required!

A great tour of Sagrada Familia

What a great tour of Sagrada Familia. Our guide Roberto was so knowledgeable. He described and showed us all the little details that we would otherwise never know. Got to skip the line too.

Amazing work of art

It was a little frustrating trying to find the tour's meeting point -- the map produced by the Get Directions prompt indicated a 13-minute walk from the church. Sagrada Famlia, though, more than made up for the confusing start. Gaudi's designs make Sagrada Familia an incredible work of art -- so different, but no less spectacular than the treasured churces in Italy. Walking to top of the tower offered a great view of the city, though 400 steps down was no minor obstacle in a tight stairway.

No show

Guide never showed up, what can you do? If you only have one shot at something, it’s sad you missed out on it.

What a breathtaking tour...

What a breathtaking tour this was. Our guide, Iris, was incredibly knowledgeable and very fun to be with. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour to La Sagrada Familia and would definitely recommend this tour to those wanting to learn more about this amazing structure.

Great guide and tour. Beautiful. Make sure to get to meeting with enough time to find guide. Bit tricky to find with so many other tourist around.

Tour guide left

After arriving early to our meet up spot, our tour guide told us we were able to go get water and return back. Upon our return our tour guide was no where to be found. When trying to call the number presented on our ticket we were met with a "user busy" tone. Minutes later we saw our tour guide already in the Sagrada while we were still outside. When asked to come retrieve us he shrugged his shoulders and said that he couldn't. Our tickets went to waste and we ended up having to spend more money to buy a regular ticket to go see Sagrada. Our group was confused as to why the guide would allow us to go get water and then leave all while knowing we would be returning back.

Towers closed, slow refund

Sadly the towers were closed so we were not able to take this tour. It took a month to get our refund, which was not great. Hope others get to go up the towers.

Fast Entry & Lots of Information

The number of people visiting the Sagrada Familia is overwhelming. Thus it was excellent to have fast entry to this special attraction and not to have to queue for tickets or wait in a long to gain entry to this attraction. Our guided tour was very enjoyable and our guide gave us a wealth of information about all the pertinent features of this attraction. Having access to the Tower was a bonus. The views across the city were stunning.

Simlpy amazing

Barcelona is a great city, but our experience was definitely enhanced by our visit to its landmark building, la Sagrada Familia. Simlpy amazing. Muchas gracias Ioanna, our truly wonderful tour guide !!!!

Excellent Experience

City Wonders Tours was recommended to us by a family member for our trip to Rome. We were delighted to find the company also offers tours in Barcelona. We were originally scheduled to take the full day Montserrat and Sagrada Familia tour during the week but called to see if we could reschedule the Sagrada Familia portion to add our daughter. The City Wonders staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We were even more delighted to enjoy the tour with Ara. Her enthusiasm and understanding of the Sagrada Familia history is great and her personality is fantastic. We highly recommend this tour, with City Wonders and Ara!

Excellent tour well worth it. Our guide was amazing, had great knowledge & was very passionate. Tower visit was well worth the add on.

Moving experience

Our guide was so wonderful! She told us stories about Gaudi and the building as well as future plans. Of course, the windows were jaw dropping but when she told us the intentional layout of colors, I became more appreciative of all the work. This is not to be missed!!

Fascinating building

Booked this trip via Viator. Booking process straightforward . Meeting point easily located in a very busy area directly opposite the group entrance which is clearly identified. Easy to get to this attraction via the metro. Tour guide informative and able to answer questions that people in the tour asked. Headsets worked! Inside and outside the building you see what has influenced the architecture with a mix of old and new influences depending on when each area/facade was built. Security type checks and long queues to get in for the afternoon trip - maybe less busy in the mornings. Plenty of cafes to eat/drink in the local area. Did not feel rushed although the tour , relatively short, lasted approx 1.5 hours. Unfortunately the towers were not accessible and having paid to go into one of the towers, was disappointed but a technical issue prevented the group from entering the towers. Viator refunded the money very promptly for this which i thought was excellent service.

Stunnning place, great guide

Sagrada Familia is a must see! Having a tour guided by Ara was a treat! She is a wealth of historical knowledge and her passion for her Catalan heritage is clear! We did not get to up the tower due to weather. Arantxa was very sad for us and apologetic, but it was not her fault, it is a policy. I have already received a partial refund for that, definitely a great service from the company. Would book again!!!
