Barcelona Picasso Walking Tour with Skip-the-Line Museum Entry

A great walk -- and informative too!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Picasso walk guided by Nicholas (Niko)! He was fun and informative, helping us to much better understand the city and Picasso's place in it. It was great to learn so much before touring the museum (he showed us where everything was before we entered). He's a great tour guide; we'll definitely look for him next time we are in Barcelona. His native English language was especially useful to us, but he fared very well with some French speakers in our small group who also understood English. His other language skills were admirable. We had some children in our small group and he accommodated all of us very, very well.

Must do this tour

Walking the street in gothic center is a must. You feel the neighborhood ways back 100 of years. Our tour guide was amazing

Underwhelming

Vale C. did a great job with the presentation and the information, but I felt like this experience was underwhelming. There just isn’t much to see regarding Picasso’s life in Barcelona.

Eoghan is an amazing guide!

Eoghan is the best! He was so engaging and shared so many fun tidbits about the gossip and drama that surrounded Picasso's life. He also gave us many recommendations for other activities and food that were wonderful!

Picasso Tour and museum

Very knowledgeable guide who told many stories and took us around the streets up to the museum. We bought a painting from a historic art gallery that was a stop on the tour.

A pleasant walk in the footsteps of Picasso

The trip was generally nice. It started with a ~1-hour walk during which the guide (Andres) showed us places relevant to Picasso's life and professional activity. The walk ended at the museum, where the guide gave us our tickets, provided some useful information about visiting the museum, and said goodbye. I liked the overall concept of this tour, the walk, and the museum, but I think the guide could have been better prepared. He didn't seem to know history (especially art history) very well and focused mainly on sharing interesting facts about Picasso's life. Additionally, if we had been equipped with headphones, we could have continued listening to his story while walking

Andres is a great guide

Andres was wonderful and very knowledgeable, loved his stories and his input about Barcelona was very helpful. Loved learning about Picasso’s early life and his periods!

Interesting tour and beautiful art

Interesting tour led by a very knowledgeable guide. We especially enjoyed the freedom to go through the Museum at our own pace after the guided walking tour portion.

Friendly fun & informative tour

Our guide, Andres, was fantastic! Upbeat, friendly, and helpful for any questions. He made sure to take some time with each party in the tour during the walking. The tour itself was very informative and fun, with a more intimate feel than some of the other tours l've been on. Entry to the museum is a bonus. :)

Interesting Picasso tour

Perfect length and information for someone who didn't have much knowledge of Picasso prior. Some background before visiting the museum makes that experience better.

This was a very interesting tour that included bits of history and architectural info, as well as the Picasso content. Valentina was personable and knowledgeable. We both enjoyed it thoroughly.

Great Tour

Andres was a 5 star tour Guide! He is very personable and had the whole group feeling comfortable with each other, a great Host! The tour was very informative and stopped at highlights of Picasso's life in Barcelona, including the very early years. The tour was capped by visiting the museum that is filled with art work and photos of the artist. A very memorable tour ☺️

Informative and interesting

Interesting and informative, guide was very friendly and informal and interactive. I would have preferred a break between the walk and the museum as the walk was quite tiring by itself. The museum is huge and needs at least two or more hours to get through. Facilities are good, rooms are large and airy. Highly recommend our guide Daniella.

10/10 for th Picasso tour

At first, something had gone wrong with our reservation, but Daria managed to get us in anyway. What followed then was a very nice walk through the narrow streets of old Barcelona, with a very enthousiastic guide who gave a lot of interesting background info on the life of Picasso. We learned a lot in the most pleasant circumstances 😊.

Andres was an amazing way to look into the life of Picasso. He was very descriptive and entertaining. We really enjoyed the walk through the area.

Just okay

Can’t control the weather and we got drenched but we’re left without our umbrella as you cannot take them in but we were not given a map and had no idea how to get back to our meeting spot.

Great Overview of Picasso and the Museum

Amazing tour!! EOGHAN was amazing! Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and he made a point to chat with me everyone! The information about Picasso before the museum was fantastic and really created a good intro before the art. The museum itself is brilliant- great space and great collection. Highly recommended!!!

VERY DISAPPOINTING

Couldn’t find meeting place..need a specific location address or store name, not”next to bike rack”..missed tour and Viator and local operator not communicative in a timely manner…wouldn’t recommend!

One of my favorites!

This was one of my favorite tours! The guide was very knowledgeable- you discover so much about Picasso’s life throughout the Gothic Quarter. You end the tour at the Picasso Museum with skip the line tickets. When our cell phone was having issues connecting to collect the tickets, our tour guide was super helpful and waited and scanned us in at the entrance. Highly recommend!

We adored our guide, Valentina. She explained in lay terms the meaning of cubism. We now have a different perspective on Picasso.

Very interesting tour

C. Andrés gave us an interesting history of Picasso’s life and how it impacted his art. Picasso’s style is not my personal favorite but I enjoyed the tour much more than I thought I would and I’m very glad I went.

Great introduction to Picasso and the neighborhood

Daria gave us a great walking tour to introduce us to Picasso and orient us for the museum. She was warm and welcoming, knowledgeable about Picasso so the museum made much more sense. We loved her gelato recommendation too!

We wanted to have our tour of Picasso Museum done in Italian language. Vale C was our tour guide and she was amazing. She was patient and explained things in details.

Learning about Picasso in charming streets of old town in Barcelona

The walk is very nice, Daria did a very good job, her speech is interesting and informative, and she backed up her information with pictures, which is really helpful. I learned a lot about Picasso's youth. The pace is just right, not too fast or slow. The only thing we don't like is the gathering site, which is not easy to find, especially when we don't know the city at all.

The walking tour was excellent. Daria, our guide, was very knowledgeable and shared her knowledge in a great way along the walk. She was happy to answer questions and everything went smoothly. The museum was wonderful. Overall, we were very happy with this tour.

Great debut.

Hard to believe it was Zeynep’s first time hosting the tour? She was great. Her obvious enthusiasm for the subject matter was contagious. We went into the museum searching out the works that she told us about and for which we now had a muck deeper understanding of. Anyone who goes on her tours will be happy they did.

Friendly but fast

Nicolas was great! Very friendly. Worth every penny for the skip the line option. A bit too fast paced for some in our group who had difficulty keeping up though he did check on their well being.

Missed the tour....

Missed the tour. Instructions to complicated for our taxi driver and locals. Some locals just dismissed us.

Insightful and interesting

A gorgeous tour around the old streets following the footsteps of the rogue that was Picasso! Nicholas took us on a wonderful journey and gave us insights that I’m sure you wouldn’t get in the museum (wink, wink). Thoroughly recommend.

Quick Picasso Experience - Recommend

Great, quick, informative tour with Daria. Would recommend for anyone who wants a little history and art, but not a complete (long) classroom lesson. Perfect for us, and would recommend.

Meeting place difficult to locate

I could not locate the guide for this tour. I asked several other guides in the area where the designated meeting place was, and they did not know the street. When I chatted with the tour operator on line, they suggested that I go to the subsequent stops to meet up with the group. I did that, but could not find them. The tour operator would not refund my money and was not able to reschedule the tour while I was in town. They offered to give me credit for another tour within three years. I visited the museum on my own the next day ...

Interesting and Informative tour with an enthusiastic guide!

My husband and I were very glad we decided to participate in this tour of young Picasso’s life history and museum tour. Valentina shared her wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm about Picasso and his life in Barcelona. The museum had a vast collection of his works. Very impressive. Highly recommend!

Informative walk through the life of Picasso in Barcelona

This was an amazing tour by Thomas learning about young Picasso and his time spent in Barcelona. Thomas was very knowlegeable and engaging. He is a fantastic guide! And my favorite wines in Spain are from Roberto del Duero. We do not see a lot of the producers in America.

A Must-Do for Picasso fans!

Our guide, Callum, was such a great guide. His knowledge of Picasso, his life and the City of Barcelona prepared us well for the works we saw at the Museum. I highly recommend doing this lovely walking tour before you visit the Picasso!
