A good piece of advise would be if you are heading for hot food , wait until they refill the container when empty as that has been sitting there a while , bring ear defenders for the singer, and avoid the chaotic rush to board. Dont expect flowing beer taps its made quite difficult.

Chaotic mixed bag

Ok, this is a mixed bag. First the boarding process is absolute chaos. Although they managed to get us on the right boat, the process was crazy and uncomfortable standing in a huge line. The entertainment was mostly good. The guy who was singing should never be allowed to sing in public again. It was like the worst karaoke you can imagine. The female singer was good and the traditional Thai dancers were beautiful. The crowd highlight was the ladyboy show. The show was good and they really went out of their way to take pictures and be welcoming to guests. The food was disappointing. The Larb was good, but as reported by others, most of the food was cold and inedible. The sushi and shashimi was just ok. The crowd swarmed the buffet like locusts and getting food is a downright unpleasant experience. If you sit on the upper deck you will see some amazing sights, but if you sit inside, although the air conditioning is nice, you will miss most of the sites while eating. The top deck is where you want to be for sightseeing, because there is no need to be there for the food. I would do another dinner cruise but nothing this big, chaotic, and with a buffet. There are cruises that offer sit down table service dinners. Do yourself a favor and book one of those.

Tourist Trap, skip ALL dinner cruises

Horrible food, we couldn’t even eat it. Worst pad Thai ever. Lower desks are super loud and unpleasant. We couldn’t wait to get off the boat. They played “happy birthday” for 10 minutes straight. Do yourself a favor and skip. I wouldn’t wish this on our worst enemy. Horrible. I’m sure all the boats are the same.

FREE BEER

I had a blast dancing with the 40 year old Asian ladies also I don’t remember reading there was FREE BEER I sucked back like 9 of those puppies

I had a blast dinner time with my friends. They loved it too! The food was good, the musical band played so well & she had a good voice. Food was a lot and they kept on filling it out. This his a budget cruise and so worth the money.

I chose this cruise for sights from open upper deck. Seats were assigned. This was not explained. I was in middle of lowest deck next to buffet line Could see nothing Went to top deck after dinner not really even anywhere to stand. Food was good. Entertainment. Very loud all night all 3 floors. Would recommend if you can ask for top deck. Otherwise spend money on nice rooftop bar with view of major landmarks. Also. Booked once through. GetYourGuide.com for night of arrival. Flights delayed and they did nothing to allow us to reschedule

Love cruising in Thailand!

Very efficient staff. Clean boat. Nice entertainment. Good food and a wide variety to choose from. Great value for money.

High Expectations but low outcome aside from the entertainment and views.

The pros are the magical views from the top tier of the boat along the way and the entertainment which was spectacular and very well done. The cons were the buffet which was very lacklustre and we struggled to find something we wanted to eat. The organisation of getting to and on the boat very haphazard and confusing.

Great time but go early as the emails for directions are bogus

The food was OK. But I didnt go gor the food. The entertainment was great. Especially the ladyboy dancing and the traditional Tai girls with the traditional outfits. I bought a bottle of wine for 1500 TLB then found out the beer was free. It was clean and the service was stellar. BUT BE WARNED. There is a very good chance you will miss this. We got there just on time. We could not find the nplace to get the tickets. We couild not download them. We were sent on a wild goose chase. Had to take a water taxi then found out it was going in the wrond direction. The online meeting points led to nowhere. We found the sales desk and they could not give us a ticket. They sent us somewhere we could not find. I had almost given up and went back to sales desk and insisted on help as we had 20 minutes to departure. She brought us to another ferry that would take us to the boat. So I suggest to get there 2 to 3 hours early just to find out where you need to go.

Great experience and wonderful time

Enjoyed the cruise and the shows. Had a great time. Food was average but everything else was wonderful.

I had a magical experience during the cruise. The staff were friendly and helpful regardless of whether I was travelling solo. The food tasted good and the music excellent. A great night.

Lovely experience! Entertainment and food on board are great.

One of the best way to spend an evening with your partner while cruising through some of the majestic attractions of Bangkok along the Chao Phraya River. The variety of food was excellent and there is so much choice. The soup was excellent and they made more when I asked! On the night they had free beer which was nice and drink as much as you can. Overall a fantastic night on this budget cruise. You must try this when you visit Bangkok.

Not recommended!

Where do we begin? We don’t normally write reviews, but we thought this deserved one. Complete chaos from start to finish. We were herded like cattle with hundreds of other passengers waiting to get onto other boats. There was very little direction from staff on the jetty and a complete lack of signage. Once on board, the welcome drink was a very small glass of squash. We then queued for a free beer… then queued again for the food, which was plentiful, but cold. The entertainment, especially the ‘cabaret’, was anything but professional. We couldn’t wait to get off the boat. Not recommended.

Just ok

Great views of Bangkok at night. Food was ok, cold when we got to it. No organisation ao food was a messy free for all. Pushing and shoving was part of the experience. We werw on the 2nd floor so the experience wasn't great until we went and found a spot to sit outside after dinner. That was great. Muaic was too loud and tacky for us. Not the experience we were looking for so if we were to go again, I would definately find another boat and check what entertainment was happening.

Disappointing

Trying to find the registration office and the entertainment venue. We chose to stop looking for the show location and went home.

A lovely trip on the river

Booked through Viator before leaving UK. Easy ticket collection in the Asiatique centre. I requested a table upstairs on the boat by e mail with the retailer and was over the moon at our allocated spot. Decent buffet (plenty of choice)free draught beer and a bit of entertainment while sightseeing with pleasant, attentive staff - a perfect combination. Highly recommend.

Random seat assignment

1 star. Seating is random- my wife and I checked in early 1.5 hours to be ahead of the line just to find out we were seated inside lower deck in middle aisle. Asked to be relocated but was denied. My point - random seating was NOT mentioned anywhere in my booking details nor under 'what to expect ' or FAQ that I read. This was a major disappointment because we cannot see anything due to reflection. SO... Unless you can guarantee a table on top deck, blow your money else such as rooftop bar. One Star rating because the only reason I booked cruise dinner was for a top deck seating. I would have been happy to pay double/triple for top deck seating and be able to choose my own table. Wasted time and money.

The most beautiful views

An amazing experience, the food was fine but for us it was the experience of the views and entertainment as well as fireworks display was nothing like I have experience I ended before. I did book about 2 months in advance on klook and saved some cash and requested an upper deck seat which I think makes a big difference. This liner has a fully open upper deck level which was amazing as most other liners were partly closed at the top. Would definitely do it again if I am in Bangkok again

Below average

Was average …..they way to find them was very difficult inside the iconsiam mall . We got seating in the lower floor , wish it was upper floor inspite of paying so much for the new year dinner cruise . Wish it was better … but we managed to think positive and not spoil the new year eve. Food was very average .. entertainment was very average . Fireworks was good which they didn’t organize it was for general public . They charged exorbitantly high for this normal dinner ….

Disappointing

Poorly organized. Also, the directions for obtaing tickets not at all clear. The entertainment was a singer but the volume wasextremely loud.

Mediocre food, bad "entertainment" good views (but not if you're below deck!)

White Orchid's sunset dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok was an interesting experience with hits and misses. On the one hand, there is fairly mediocre food (and the buffet line took about 20 minutes to get through!), very questionable music selections, and people seated in the cabin interior have far worse views than people seated up on the deck. On the other hand, there were some incredible sights, and an unforgettably surreal sunset! (Unfortunately, the windows in the main cabin -- if you are lucky enough to see out of one -- are scuffed and don't offer sweeping views. The people seated on deck are the only ones that get to enjoy this for the whole cruise.)

Very Good Cruise but Veg Food with almost no options.

Cruise was very good but the only point of concern is that there was no vegetarian food option, Only French Fries was there. I would request the company to provide an option for food choice while making the booking so that they can also know how many guest are there who wants vegetarian food. Rest the experience was very good.

This is a Scam

A horrible experience. I was over charged twice the promoted price. The staff was rude, and worst food I had in Thailand.

Good fun but no Thai Cultural Show!!

We enjoyed very much. Plenty of food and drinks included price. Unfortunately we couldn’t find the Thai Cultural show after cruise at Asiatic!!

Wonderful dinner cruise

This was a very good experience The food was plentiful although time you sat down it wasn't hot but still very nice Gabby the cruise compere was excellent getting people to dance and enjoy themselves Free beer all trip and even gave our daughter a birthday cake and sang happy Birthday Lots of landmarks all lit up as well as the bridges The evening ended with a cabaret show which was entertaining Overall was a great evening We booked with tickets2 attractions before we arrived good price and we had best seats on boat would recommend

Shocking

Shocking from start to finish. So poorly organised from.meeting on the peir to getting everyone on the boat. The buffet was horrible. Not organised on the boat. Entertainment was laughable. I never normally complain this much but it was a joke.

We went on our first night in Thailand, it gave us a great view of the city at night. The entertainment was varied and lasted most of the experience

Disappointed with the waiting time

Just sailing down the river is the best part the entertainment was really fun.. the only thing that spoilt it was we got there at 6pm as of request that was 2 hour standing around in the heat and no seating at all we still hadn't boarded by 8 pm .. As I had to stand around all that time my bad knee had swollen when we came to leave I actually fell down the stairs no one was there to ask if I was ok

Bring ear plugs

The boat is nice enough, but the crowd was extremely loud. Not the fault of the cruise line I know, but something to be expected generally in this location. The food was acceptable and the was free-flow Singha and Chang.

Honest

Was very entertaining. Garlic bread was stale, all other buffet food was great. We have done this activity 3 times now.

wash out!

Start of well, good seating position on top deck. Just as food was serving, the rain came down. We had to go below, but there was no room on second level and had to go to water line (third level) Here there was no food being served, and had to struggle upstairs, with children to get food. Spent whole trip inside as the DOORS were closed stopping people from getting back onto the main deck to take photos. We have a good collection of photos with the window rain and no live music.

Enjoyable evening

Terrible service by the agency, chaos at the boarding dock.

This was the worst. You buy your tickets at Viator. They don't provide you with the actual tickets, but give you a location to pick them up. You arrive an hour early to pick them up, but nobody is there. You search for White Orchid, and it turns out you have to be on the other side of the canal. Once you arrive there, it turns out you are not on the list and they can't do anything about it. Only words they know: contact your agency. Your agency/Viator doesn't answer, the cruise leaves and you are exhausted and 150 euros poorer.

Nice views at night

Lovely to see Bangkok at night, was beautiful seeing all the lights. Food wasn’t great but get what you pay for.

Absolutely stunning! Everything from entering the ICONSIAM to the actual Cruise, it's astonishing good. Food is also decent on the Cruise with some much choice. For the past reviews the food in Asia is never boiling hot like in western countries. White Orchid can heat this up if you want, we asked it was no problem. The real cake is the Entertainment show of the Cruise. This is the best way to end Bangkok trip!

Dinner Cruise

The cruise was relaxing, the entertainment was good, the view of the city was lovely, and the crew were all friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the food that should have been hot was completely cold.

Unremarkable

The menu was over sold as an international and seafood buffet; however, it was just basic Japanese with charcoaled shrimp and muscles. I was expecting more. I was expecting lots of variety. It did not deliver.

Too many people , food very low standard very hard to eat ! Not much seafood as they advertise lots of seafood.

We waited to avoid the crush of people running for the banquet and completely missed out on some of the food. We assumed more food would be brought out but that was not the case. By the time we were ready for dessert there was none available.
