Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour

It was fun!

I joined morning group and was happy to be able to go to the market and learn to choose ingredients. It was fun and interesting, well organised, clean. I learned to cook 4 dishes and everything was yummy 😋 I recommend this school to everyone to learn more about Thai culture.

The whole experience was amazing! We started off with the morning market where we “shopped” for groceries, and we got to see how the real Thai local market operates. We then walked to the new cooking school, and we started off with cooking the Tom Yum. After the Tom Yum, we ate and then cooked the Pad Thai, followed by Green Curry and ended the meal off with mango sticky rice. Really thankful for Cho’s guidance, patience and enthusiasm! Would highly recommend this class to anybody.

Fun and authentic Thai cooking class

We had a wonderful morning visiting the local markets for ingredients and then cooking up a 4 course meal. Cho is a great, friendly and entertaining teacher and the school facilities lovely. The dishes we cooked were authentic and delicious. If you do the morning course, do not eat before you go!

Lots of knowledge shared, and yummy food to try. Great experience, clean kitchen, fantastic host. A very memorable day out And be sure to check out the Indian Temple at the end of the street.

Fun learning and well worth it !

Excellent experience. Efficiently run class with a tour of the local market and a 4-course classic Thai menu for hands-on cooking experience. We started the class by walking to a local market to explore what was on offer and to buy some ingredients for the cooking class. We then headed back to the cooking school - which is a nice, pleasant and clean space (looks new!). It also was a space that provided us with a nice air conditioned respite from the sweltering heat outside. Our instructor Chó was the perfect blend of giving us good, clear instructions and demonstrations to follow while at the same time keeping the tone funny and friendly. She and the staff were very efficient and well organized and it felt we fully optimized the 4-hours we had. The dishes were prepped well, and we cooked and sampled our cooking in batches. The instructor let us each do our own cooking while keeping an eye out for any course corrections along the way. I was pleasantly surprised as to how well the dishes turned out to be - a testimony to the instructor and her approach. During the class we learnt a few tricks of the trade to file away for later use, along with a recipe book that we got to take with us for future reference. All in all, a very nice experience and worth taking a half day to do an experience like this away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Highly recommended to check it out!

Amazing experience and delicious thai food

It was first time attending such an experience and I must admit exceeded my expectations. My friend recommended me Tingly cooking class and I couldn’t choose a better place to be. Morning shift started with good vibes and introduction about next steps. We started with morning groceries in the market and coffee, which I loved. Once we started the cooking process, Chon (our chef) explained everything into details and helped with the flow of the 4 dishes we prepared. She is very professional and she loves what she does. Overall, I had an amazing experience and super delicious thai food. Pad thai and mango sticky rice were my fav dishes. On top of that, at the end of the class they offered as a souvenir: chopsticks and a lil book with all thai recipes. Highly recommended!

My favourite day in Bangkok

Wow - this was my favourite day in Bangkok. Tingly Thai took us though the market to purchase fresh produce, fruits and herbs to go back to their cooking school to make 4 delicious dishes. I was so impressed with how easy the class was, and there were people with all different experience levels in the kitchen. My only regret was not doing a second class!

Morning cooking class

Such an awesome outing. The market tour is nice and concise, a really great intro into Thailand markets! The cooking is well structured and really easy to follow. The instructor (Song) was so fantastic, friendly and energetic! Awesome course all round!

The morning market tour was very exciting and it was super interesting to get to know the thai kitchen directly in bangkok. We enjoyed the group and the energetic teacher, it was so fun! Me and my sister had a great time! Thank you for the experience😊

My favourite memory in Bangkok

It was my first cooking class ever, but ended up being the Highlight of my Bangkok stay. The class was fun, entertaining and didn't require any prior cooking experience. I've especially loved our teacher's energy and sense of humour. I can't recommend this enough!

Excellent cooking class! Song was a wonderful teacher. We made Pad Thai, Tom Yum Kung, Massaman curry, and mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious and very easy with all the instructions

A fantastic morning, walking around the market to get the ingredients and then on to the class. A professional and fun experience, preparing and cooking the dishes.

Must do -experience !

This experience was brilliant!! We went around the market with Cho then back to the stylish cookery school to learn how to make 4 courses! Cho was a fantastic teacher and the background staff quickly cleaned and set up for the next course whilst we sat eating and enjoying what we had created -this is so well organised as a 3 hour experience and I thank the team for a great time!!

Great and Well Organized Cooking Class

I can't imagine a better cooking class! It went like clockwork as we each had a plate with all the ingredients, while the expert explained how to do things and what each ingredient added. We were able to make things non spicy, if we wanted. While we ate each dish, her crew cleaned and set up the next plates for our next course. My favorites were Pad Thai with shrimp, Mango sticky rice, and curry with chicken. They even gave us a recipe booklet at the end. We got there late, due to our taxi driver, so we missed some of the market shopping, but the cooking and eating was wonderful!

Fabulous Thai cooking class!

Loved this cooking class! Definitely go for the 8.30 class so you can also do the market tour. The cooking space is bright and airy and very well organized. The food was delicious and really well taught. Bring your appetite! Four courses is a lot of food. I can't wait to try these recipes at home. I highly recommend Tingly Thai if you're visiting Bangkok.

Cho leads a fun and well-organized cooking class

The Tingley Thai cooking school was so much fun! Our instructor Cho, was excellent. She was very organized and provided clear instructions, so everything flowed seamlessly. Cho also had a fun sense of humor, which kept the experience entertaining. The recipes were delicious. Everything about this class was well thought out and well executed. This was one of the highlights of our visit to Bangkok!

Now I understand the thai kitchen better

I highly recommend to come with an empty stomage because you will eat 4 dishes and they will be all delicious. It ia also a good idea to do this cooking class in the beginning of your thailand trip, so you have an overview over the classic thai dishes and know what is eatable or not. Our teacher Sho was also very funny and explained everything very well. The organization was also very good. While we were eating everything was cleaned and prepared for the the next dish upstairs.

We had an amazing time at Tingly Cookery School this morning! We started at their previous centre, ventured to the local market for ingredients, and then headed to their newly opened cookery school (Dec 2023) which was very cool, to whip up a fabulous four-course meal. It's the tastiest experience since arriving in Bangkok, and our teacher and a great group of classmates made it the best activity we've had in the city so far. We’ll be making three of the four back home. Mango in UK just isn’t the same as here in Thailand!

Fantastic cookery course in Bangkok

We would highly recommend this cooking course. Our guide and teacher for the day was wonderful. So funny and had us all laughing. She took us around the local market to collect the needed ingredients, whilst explaining what to choose. Then back to the kitchen to prepare and cook 4 separate dishes and enjoy eating. This experience I would do all over again. Worth every penny.

My Tingly Thai cooking class in Bangkok with a morning market tour was undeniably the highlight of my trip. Our instructor (so sorry I forgot her name), a sweet and patient guide, made the session incredibly enjoyable. Not only did we gain hands-on cooking skills, but we also received a little m cookbook to recreate the magic at home. Any leftovers were neatly packed, allowing us to enjoy the flavors later. Enjoy a local Thai market and cooking school

We had an amazing experience with Tingly Thai cooking school. We were given a tour of the local market where we picked up ingredients to make three delicious meals: Tom yum soup, Panang curry and mango sticky rice. We enjoyed learning about Thai food and walking away with a recipe book. Highly recommend! It was a lot of fun and a great way to learn more about Thai cooking techniques.

Great cooking experience and value for your money

I definitely recommend going in the morning since it gives you the opportunity to explore the markets with the instructor. This cooking class was awesome! You get to experience cooking local Thai dishes and taste them afterwards! After cooking each dish, you go downstairs and eat what you've made (during this time, they will set up for the next dish that you will make). They are very organized and prepared! Love the instructor's sense of humour and by the end of the class, I was so full! I also like how they give you a recipe booklet so that you can try to make the dishes at home! Definitely a 10/10!

Amazing cooking experience! Great for anyone!

Fantastic from start to finish, our instructor Cho was knowledgeable, funny and helpful. We enjoyed this as a couple’s activity but any age of culinary skills would enjoy. The school was extremely clean and organized. This exceeded my expectations and my only regret was eating breakfast before class!! Thank you again!

The basics of Thai food

Great host and very informative. The market tour in the morning is definitely recommended. Classes are simplified for beginners but with good insights for the more experienced.

Best experience of our Bangkok visit!

We recently spent our morning cooking with Cho at Tngly. It was absolutely amazing! Cho is full of energy and really went out of her way to make our class enjoyable for everyone, from Liam (aged 8) to Grandad (aged 65). We cooked Tom Yum Goong, Red Curry, Phad Thai and Mango with sticky rice. All our dishes were amazingly delicious, especially because each person could add as much "spicy" as they like. Truly a memorable, fun experience that I can highly recommend.

Great Food Experience

Awesome experience. The walk through the Morning Markets close by was wonderful sensory experience. The sights colours and smells. The cooking school was beautifuly setup (lots of stairs though) Chom out instructor was wonderful (so patient). Excellent experience Thoroughly Recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great fun culinary experience, absolutely recommended

The course, given by Cho, was an absolutely fantastic way to spend the morning. Her great sense of humor and attitude made the terrific culinary experience also really fun! The market tour was very brief, but it was good considering that we spend most of the time cooking (and eating what we prepared). They also handed out fresh water, which was great. After the course, they also gave us a cook book with all the recipes included in the course, as well as a pair of really nice chopsticks. In all, an absolutely recommended experience! Make sure to go on an empty stomach, though, as otherwise you might have to take your own food to go!

Spice up your life!!!

The class is easy to find, and booking in at the office is simple and quick! I opted for the morning tour, so I also got to go round the market with the class. The kitchen is modern with new equipment and really nicely decorated! Our chef, Cho, took us round the market and explained to us what dishes we would make and why we needed specific ingredients to put in each dish. She even gave us our own bamboo baskets to carry the ingredients in! Cho did a great job of making everyone welcome and part of her cooking team. She was always warm and smiling and also making lots of jokes! Well done, Cho! We made four dishes in all, Tom Yong soup, pad Thai, red curry & mango sticky rice. However, some dishes vary depending on the day! We were also given a goodbye gift and a recipe leaflet covering all the meals we made! I would 110% advise you to take this class, it really is amazing.... Well done, Tingly Thai team... 5 Stars!

Simply a must do activity!

An absolute must when in Bangkok! We chose the morning class with the market visit. The whole experience was excellent. The food delicious and the teachers and staff fun and friendly.

Was a fabulous experience . The teacher was informative and funny and really engaging . The setup of the class was extremely professional and the recipes were all very easy to be able to make back home .

First cooking class experience

This was my first cooking class and it was worth every €. The teacher was really fun and energetic and she gave us a lot knowledge about Thai cousine. Every dish we were preparing was so good and I can't wait to prepare it at home. If you're looking for a cooking class in Bangkok you should defenitly go to Tingly! :)

Great way to learn how to make fresh Thai food

This class was so fun! The food was delicious and made from fresh food we purchased at the market. we each made four dishes - there was a lot of food so come hungry!

Excellent Cooking activity in Bangkok

It was such a wonderful experience especially with Cho, our guide. The lessons were simple but the foods “we cooked” tasted fantastic. Would recommend this activity with Tingly Thai Cooking School to everyone!

Exceptional experience to learn how to cook your favorite Thai dishes

This cooking class was my first and one of the better things I did in Bangkok. I arrived early and waited for group and made small talk with Sho, class instructor, I had mentioned I had a peanut allergy beforehand (playing with fire here I know lol) but the instructor took great care in ensuring my station was free of peanuts and the recipes adjusted to exclude peanuts (for only my meals, I can be around peanuts just fine). Once everyone arrived we made our way to the morning market - we were able to try some fresh fruit, breakfast dishes, and collected ingredients to be used in the cooking class. Sho also helped us with the locals to order some milk tea, which I saw everywhere but hadn't tried yet. Once we got back we started our cooking journey. The stations we sparkling clean and the ingredients neatly presented for cooking. Sho told us about the various ingredients and why certain ingredients make for better Thai food. She also outlined some alternatives in case you don't have the specific ingredient. The cooking was fun and straight forward, its amazing how easy and quick it is to make things like Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup once you have the ingredients. The best part is you get to each everything you make, but this is a good time to say you should arrive hungry as you will be stuffed full by the end. Eating gives you a break to sit and talk with everyone else in the class. The class is finished off with Mango Sticky Rice, I would sign back up for this class even if it was only for the sticky rice. You leave with any leftovers you couldn't finish and a small cookbook outlining the recipes you just made and others. This location is a bit far from certain areas of Bangkok (I was staying over by the palace) and its too far for the tuktuks so be ready to flag down a cab/car to get you over to the location, it will be well worth it!
