Private Tour: Bangkok Temples and Grand Palace

the tour was excellent. our tour guide was very responsive and knowledgeable. we spent good time at the temples and palace. would definitely recommend the private tour.

They never showed up

We payed for a private tour to the temples of Bangkok, 8 am morning pickup. They never showed up and never contacted us after numerous attempts to reach them. Only form of communication was through Viator app. Calling phone number only let to unfunctioning line. After waiting an hour and a half we made alternative arrangements. As this was our last day in Bangkok, the only time to see the Temples was in the afternoon. We were intentionally trying to avoid this because of the extreme temps (~ 100 degrees F). We went anyway but cut tour short because the heat was unbearable (I know, Bangkok in March, but still). Never heard from company. Only bright spot was that we got a refund (After calling Viator - but it wasn’t a given). I rarely write negative reviews (if you don’t have anything good to say etc). However, there are a lot of options for tour guides Bangkok, don’t go with these guys.

Great tour with Lunch experience

The private tour is worth it with your own guide and vehicle. Lunch at a local restaurant near the grand palace was excellent too!! Our guide arranged it and was included in the tour. But be prepared to navigate your way around the temples with your guide around too many tourists 9

A must for first time visitors to BKK

Our guide P’ Amika was excellent—knowledgeable, friendly and professional! And our driver was great too. We learned so much about Bangkok, the culture and history. Finished up a little early and that was fine with us. Would definitely recommend!

Fabulous day and made me decide to live here and get out of the UK

We let the tour go on without us. We sat in a cafe in the temple grounds, had coffee, and as my friend is Thai, we went to speak with some of the monks. It was a fab day all round

Great tour of Bangkok

We only had 2 full days in Bangkok and wanted to see quite a lot so booked this trip and it included most of the things we wanted to see. We were ready early so decided to head to the lobby to wait which was great timing as our guide was also early and we were able to set off before the scheduled pick up time. The trip included the Grand Palace, Golden Buddha and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha and our guide was very knowledgeable and really informative which helped us to get more out of the day than had we ventured out on our own. Booking a Sunday and being there early also meant that some of the roads were quieter and we were able to get around quite easily. Our driver was great and kept us stocked up with bottled water. For lunch we ate at one of the food courts near our hotel so only had a couple of minutes walk back. If you've not been to Bangkok before I'd definitely recommend this trip, it's so much easier than navigating your own way round and the guide really helps to get the most out of what you're seeing.

Very personable and knowledgeable guide.

Our guide was Ms. Maliwan. She was extremely knowledgeable of any subject matter related to the Temples. Many people along the way knew her, so she is obviously a very experienced guide. Highly recommend her and this tour.

Great guide

This was a really good half day tour. Our guide was informative and friendly. We visited the grand palace, temples and Buddhas and finished with a lovely lunch in a local restaurant. We also saw the Kings Son during our visit to the palace. Highly recommend. It’s great having a private tour.

Great day out

Our tour guide was cindy who was great and spoke good English. This tour was great and we saw kids in a short space. The restaurant she took us too was lovely and the food was delicious. Bangkok is so vast and public transports not the easiest and doesn’t cover the full city so this was a great easy way to do it. No waiting in lines for tickets etc. She even arranged for us to be dropped off wherever we wanted after the tour.

<p>Ask for Cindy when you book! She was the best guide we had on our trip. She was early to pick us up, made sure we always had food and water, gave us excellent information at each sight and was beyond kind. We had planned to go to the weekend market after our time with her and she wanted to make sure we got there quickly because we had limited time due to a flight out that evening so she took us to the subway station, helped us buy our passes, and rode with us to the correct stop to make sure we got there. She even sent us on our way with treats. She went far above and beyond and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. This tour was perfect to see all the main points in one if you have limited time. Highly recommend!</p>

Best Tour while in Bangkok!

My wife and I booked a private tour guide through the Withlocals app. We were very happy we did same as it ended up being the best tour we experienced while in Bangkok. Our tour guide was named Sammy and he planned our tour based on our interests. Sammy came right to our hotel and we started out in the morning by doing the Golden Buddha, Chinatown and then did a couple other temples in the downtown area. Sammy took us to an amazing restaurant near the naval base and we then finished doing the last of the temples after lunch. Sammy is a registered tour guide and was a wealth of knowledge. He was very open to answering all our questions whether it was about the history of a temple, his country or the Buddhist faith. Thank you Sammy for an amazing day!

<p>This is why a private tour is sometimes the only way to go. <br/> Oddi, our excellent tour guide, was on top of everything throughout the day.<br/> She made sure we got to see the temples we chose and she even recommended<br/> how we should do it. She knows exactly which part of the temple to see first to avoid the crowds.<br/> Her command of the history was exemplary as she was able to answer all of our questions.<br/> She even helped us with suggestions for the rest of our time in Bangkok. <br/> Unfortunately, the crowd was overwhelming at the Grand Palace. Thousands of Thai people wearing black<br/> paid homage to their recently deceased King. Other than that, the temples were amazingly resplendent in gold color<br/> and the architecture a treat for the eyes.</p>

<p>What an experience. We met the guide at the allotted time and she showed us all of the sights outlined in the itinerary. The guide was fantastic and made the day for us. She didn't rush us from one palace to the next but took her time in explaining the history. We had lunch and ended up at one of the major jewellers. The whole day lasted for more than 8 hours and in my opinion was money well worth spending. Highly recommended</p>

Trip to Thailand

Enttäuschende Tagestour

Diese Dame Sunny hat uns Verarscht. Das Mittagessen hat Sie uns Bezahlen lassen und die Rückfahrt zum Hotel durfen wir auch Bezahlen. Zwischen unsere Tagestour ging die Dame Sunny Shoppen, ohne das wir das wollten. Die Tour war Ok, aber Sunny machte einige Sachen nicht OK. Sunny ist nicht zu Empfehlen!
