Floating Market an Unesco site tour

Neera is excellent guide. We had a lots of fun. I also felt very protected and taken care off. We had a great time together. I definitely suggest this excursion for people who like markets.

Vacation

Does not really matter what boat you hire because it's a must do either way. Everything is for sale and bargaining always fun. Lots of color and action everywhere. Great pictures and great for the entire family.

Highly recommend

Tour was great, Richard our tour guide was professional, funny, informative and so accommodating. We were picked up from our hotel on time in a very nice car, taken to the floating market, then to the train market, had lunch at the train market, then driven back to our hotel. Really enjoyed, might just suggest a different place for lunch, as the food was only okay. Highly recommend!

The attractions were good, but the rude racist guide ruined our day.

We booked online with Viator and their local partner Amazing Asia Tours booking ref.: BR-753953946. When booking online on Viator I saw start time of 8.30 am so I paid for this tour as we wake up late on holidays. Again to double confirm start time our hotel concierge called the local agent's office 2 days in advance and fixed start time at 8.30 am, which was confirmed by the local agent's office. But our tour guide came at 7.30 and we came down at 8.35 she had an argument with us and was rude with me. At the train market we asked her to give her phone number in case we got separated, but she refused to give her phone number even after repeated requests. I don't understand how a tour guide can have such a bad attitude. Don't tour company rules require their guides to share her number so that if visitors get separated, they can call the guide to rejoin? But her manager said it was her personal phone and she can decide to share or refuse. But I couldn't see the rationale in such a policy as what would a guide fear from an overseas family (my wife was with me) flying home after 2 days, and we were polite and decent. Then after finishing from train market, in the vehicle it was very hot and I asked her to increase cooling. She refused saying it will take time to cool and if cooling is increased later it will get cold. I said she should increase cooling now as it is very hot and later she can change temperature back to "medium" from "high". But she refused and quarreled with me. I had to stretch forward and increase AC to high myself. She was unfriendly and said "you _________ are not nice and want your way"...and this in response to a request to alter air-conditioning as the vehicle was hot. This is clearly a racist remark, and this lady could have got into trouble if she were in the US as racism is a crime. I was shocked that a tour guide could be rude, racist, unfriendly, arrogant, and have a negative attitude with her tourist clients. Tourism is a service industry, and first principle is to make tourists comfortable and happy.

No water or snacks

The tour was good. Our guide took us the the floating market explained how it all started. He also gave us the option to see the elephant and lion sanctuary. We decided to go and took a picture with a tiger. We made it to the train market in time for the train to come thru. The tours were good but we were never given water or a snack through out the tour. When we got lunch, drinks weren't included so we had to by them. Overall we got to see what we wanted to see but we didn't get any of the extra perks, food and snack, we were suppose to get for booking the private tour.

Terrific experience

Definitely recommend! Jimmy was an awesome guide and gave us a local's view into the train market and the floating market. He likes durian and it was the first time I tried it (yuck! haha). The pick up and ride in the van was very comfortable. There was good communication with the tour company.

Amazing Day at Floating Market, Train Market & Feeding Tigers with Sam

We booked the tour very spontaneously the night before with our hotel. Our tourguide Sam was AMAZING!!! Super funny, charming and an amazing singer ;-) Was just a fun show the whole ride to the markets. We had a big bus for us 2 , it was clean, comfortable and modern. The train market and floating boat market are a must see! Great experience and unique in the world. Sam showed us the local fruits, explained everything very competently and helped us with more questions about our upcoming trip to Phuket. He even provided us two sim cards with Internet . We couldve not asked for a better tour guide! Definitely recommending Amazing Asia Tours with guide Sam to everyone!! THANKS AGAIN!!! SAWADI KHA!

Excellent tour, professional guide and great driver

The Private Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and Train Market Tour was exactly as described and much much more!! Lucky (the guide) and the driver were on time, super friendly, very knowledgeable, communicated well and all around were professional caring hosts. I would highly recommend this tour, English-speaking guide and driver to anyone wanting to carry-out this excursion.

Mercado del tren

Realmente único! Muyyy loco y por más que te expliquen no se le encuentra el sentido.... pero realmente cuando hay que tratar de meterse en un hueco entre los pescados y las frutas para que no te pise el tren es loquisimo! Los colores y olores son inigualable

Nous avons visité le marché flottant et le marché au train un tour privé très bien avec une guide au top c’était fabuleux dépaysant et surtout privatisé un vrai bonheur !!!!! Merci à Amazing tour Asia et surtout à notre guide elle était super

Beh, non lo rifarei. Molto particolari i mercati, anche se ormai sono solo turistici e poco naturali. Pessima la fermata, del tutto inutile e insensata, al Chang Puak Camp.
