Should learn to cook Thai dishes before eating

Great experience to learn local cuisines together. Also, learn how to choose fresh ingredients in the local market. While preparing and cooking, you can smell familiar Green curry and Pad Thai. Despite being rushed to cook, must try.

Fantastic experience

Absolutely amazing experience. Easy steps to follow and great host (pimmy). This is a must if you are in Bangkok. The market tour was a great start and we made some brilliant food and will take the lessons learnt home with us.

A Fun and Tasty Class

The staff was so good. Pimmy the lead teacher was funny and very informative. The meal was great. It was fun to prepare the ingredients and cook and the helpful staff made it easy for me. The market was a great addition. I learned a lot!

Food Experience - Character Building

During one of our recent trips, I booked a cooking class through Klook without realizing that children were not allowed. It would be helpful if the app could include an option to specify whether the class is suitable for kids. Additionally, I felt that the teaching style of the instructor was more suited to a Western Caucasian audience rather than Canadians of Chinese descent like ourselves. Upon arrival, it would have been preferable if the instructor had taken aside the adults to inform us about the no kids policy, rather than mentioning it in front of the children. This way, the children wouldn't have been left with the impression that they weren't welcome. Furthermore, my husband had no intention of attending, as he had not signed up for the cooking session himself. He became disgruntled when he learned about the no kids policy, and a disagreement ensued between him, parent of another child, and the instructor. Considering it was my child's birthday the following day, I didn't think asking us to leave was a fair solution after an hour into the class when kids are curious and hand questions about the methodology and ingredient. While I understand that options like visiting the aquarium or the water park are available for entertainment, experiencing daily life and cultural activities is also important. Despite the initial setbacks, we managed to complete the course. However, I felt that the instructor lacked enthusiasm in teaching the finer details. Children have a lot to gain from learning about the history and culture behind the food they prepare. It would have been great if the instructor had shared more of this information. It's unfortunate that the instructor seemed unhappy from the start but improved towards the end. Nevertheless, when faced with a challenging situation during our travels, it's important to make the best of it. By finishing the course, we demonstrated our genuine desire to learn and complete what we started. I hope the instructor's issues were unrelated to our experience, and I genuinely wish them the best in their future endeavors.

Lots of FUN!

It was my first cooking class overseas. I had such a WONDERFUL time! I LOVE Thai food, which is one of the reasons my husband & I decided to vacation in Thailand. It was only logical for me to take a cooking class. The school was a short walking distance to a local open food market, which made it very convenient. The instructor was very thorough in showing us the different Thai produce & spices & how they differed from those in our home countries; she even explained how to differentiate between fresh & not so fresh seafood. The instructor & her helpers were very kind & had prepped many of the ingredients, but they taught us how to properly mash the chili peppers with the mortar & pestle, chop the lemon grass & galangal, etc. Thai cooking uses different parts of the spices, like the root of the coriander. It was loads of FUN & I learned a lot. The students were all very friendly, as we were all there to have a good time & the food turned out really YUMMY!! I found out later when I was telling my friend back in California about the class, she said the Pink Chili class was a good bargain in comparison to the ones offered by the hotels!

Pink Chili Didn’t Disappoint

Fun experience. The four star is because it was difficult at times to understand our leader and bowls that are cracked really should be replaced instead of being used.

Best Thai experience in bangkok

Had a truly amazing time, the hostess took us to the local market firstly to sample the ingredients we would be using for the cooking and then step-by-step we learnt how to make 3 separate Thai dishes. Highly recommend!

Thaï food cooking can be a lot of fun!

Really nice afternoon cooking and learning a lot about Thai cuisine. We had a lot of fun, being a small group of 5 and having at least 3 or 4 persons helping us out. The recipes were fantastic and I can’t wait to go back home to try them out by myself. The only thing I would change is the start time of the afternoon class from 2 pm to 3 pm. Since we ate what we had cooked, we ended up eating a big meal at around 4:30-5:00 pm, which is a bit too early. Most of us could not finish our meals, which probably ended up in the garbage.

Really fun class and we made such delicious food, honestly an afternoon well spent! And don't go on a full stomach as you'll want to enjoy the dishes you cooked

Great learning experience!

We had a great time doing a variety of activities, with a mix of learning, preparing ingredients and cooking. We also got to know some other travellers which was fun. We started with a trip to the market where our host explained the different types of herbs and how to use each. We had 10 minutes time to explore the market afterwards. We prepared 4 different dishes on the day. For the ones we didn't prepare ourselves (such as the sticky rice, which takes very long), our host explained the process in detail and gave us the recipes so we can replicate dishes ourselves at home. We spent most of the cooking time preparing our vegetables and herbs and grinding our chilli paste to use in a curry chicken dish. It was also great to experience first-hand how simple it is to make an amazing dish like tom yum soup. The kitchen part (stir frying the various ingredients) was fun and didn't take too long, note that this room didn't have air conditioning and so was very hot! Overall a 5/5 experience and strongly recommended.

Pink chili

The chef and her staff were very welcoming, even though we were late for the class. The ingredients were all fresh, and we got to taste them before using them in our cooking.. We also received printed instructions and recipes.

Beautiful Experience!

I have taken many cooking classes and this one is probably my favorite yet! Everything was so clean and organized. Everyone there was so helpful and friendly. The walk to the market was a beautiful experience. Love how she explained all the vegetables! I would absolutely recommend for a friends and family activity!

Amazing experience learning about ingredients and methods of Thai cooking. Welcoming, supportive and fun. Really enjoyed.

Great cooking class with a bad outcome

The cooking class was well organized and we had a lot of fun. Recipes and guidance was clear, however we all got food poisoning (reason for an average rating) afterwards which was not a nice holiday start, even though the food was delicious. The only reason for this could have been the chicken, since everything else was fresh and didn't smell bad.

Best Thai Cooking Class Experience

This was a lovely experience where we learned a lot. We started by going to the market to learn more about the ingredients used in Thai cooking. This was a really special part of the experience. Then we headed back and got cooking. This experience was very hands on with really helpful feedback and instruction. The cooking class teacher was really passionate, clear, and answered all of our questions. The rest of the staff were kind and helpful. The food we learned to make was amazing!!! We made four dishes, and it was a really perfect experience.

Don’t miss this great cooking experience

Fantastic cooking experience. Pimmy was a good instructor. Great proportions and lots of chopping and cooking. Food was delicious. I’ve done cooking classes in Hanoi, Seoul, Tokyo, Barcelona, Mexico, etc and this was one of the best. Great value for the price and a way to get to know Thai culture that is a little off the beaten path.

Must-have hands-on Thai cooking experience

Definitely recommend to everyone visiting Bangkok. The chef is super nice and speaks perfect English, she showed me around the local market and introduced lots of useful tips for shopping fresh ingredients. The cooking is guided step by step with hands-on work that is taken care of. Solo or with friends and families, this is a wonderful experience for sure. 这次授课只有我一个人，主厨非常细心负责，在当地市场为我讲解了许多，成品超级好吃！And you can eat what you have cooked, it’s wonderful!

Great experience, and tasty food

We were a little late so met the group at the market and learned how to select fresh shrimp. We had to listen carefully to the instructor as her English was ok but still a little broken. She was great and was impressed with the organization and meal portion size! We'd definitely recommend to anyone!

Amazing authentic cooking class

This was the best cooking class I’ve ever been to! They really help you learn the selection of ingredients and how to prep the authentic dishes. The pad Thai was the most delicious pad Thai I’ve ever had! I have celiac disease, and they were very accommodating for gluten free, at least their menu for Mondays was completely gluten free. I definitely recommend, this was a really memorable experience and the food was delicious. The market tour at the beginning was also a fun touch.

Thai chef class

Nice small class with personalized instruction. Instructor spoke good English and very helpful showing how to do the techniques correctly. The three dishes we made were as good or better than you can get in a Thai restaurant! Highly recommend this class! Tip: they cook different dishes on different days. Would recommend a consecutive 2nd day if possible!

Couples cooking experience

Very well organised and educational experience ! The food was great and we had fun cooking. My boyfriend and I are not the greatest cook and still managed to create tasteful dishes !

Nice cooking experience

The experience wasn't bad but I was expecting another type of interaction. Despite being very friendly, the entire staff did not speak English and as such some parts of the explanations were lost. The time passed well but I didn't love it.

Terrific Thai Cooking Class!!

We absolutely loved this class from start to finish. Exploring the market to learn more about the ingredients (and Thai food in general) was a fantastic start to the morning and we had plenty of time allowed to explore it ourselves too. Pimmy leads the class and is wonderful, with perfect English and a great sense of humour. Most importantly the final results we cooked up were delicious! Would highly recommend.

Good

It was quite okay. The food was good. Sadly it wasn’t really about the technical aspect of the Thai kitchen nor the receipts, really. You just followed orders, the entire process of cooking was a sheer chaos, so you actually couldn’t follow the receipts yourself. I would still recommend it

Close to Bangkok airport

Friendly teacher at this Thai cooking school. She was very good. The shopping at the market before the class was a good experience. Best school given its proximity to the airport. Doable if you only have a half a day in Bangkok.

Educational and Exceptional

Super fun experience. All the instructions were very concise and well put together. This was a very authentic experience and I learned so much! Pounding the chili paste was great and the 3 ladies who helped us were so kind and great. The 4 hours went by very quickly as we were constantly entertained and doing things. The best part: the food!! It was the best food I had in Thailand and I made it!! Amazing flavors and so fresh. The market was very cool and local as well. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Best souvinir from Thailand!

Loved the market, wouldn't have found it otherwise. Recipes were simple yet so delicious!! All the cooking was doable and understandable, even for non kitchen people.

Overall, very interesting experience in a relaxing atmosphere. I would probably appreciate a bit more explanations during the market tour, but overall it was well done.

Super great so cool. I now know how to handle lemon grass. My teen girls had a blast too. You do enough cooking/ prep to feel part of it but not so much that it overwhelms. Air conditioned class room, open air cooking. Made accommodations for Special site Needs. Highly recommmend.
