Unique and enjoyable

This was a very unique experience. The serenity at the museum was great. In contrast, the thrilll of the speed boat ride to the beach was exhilarating. This tour had the best of both! Niranya Burchardt from TripGuru was our guide who was informative, helpful, and funny. We had a great time in her company. June was probably not the best time to go though because we found it hot and humid, coming from Canada. Recommend winter months for visiting Bangkok / Thailand

The perfect 1 day trip to Pattaya

I would like to say we had THE best tour guide. She was very informative, sweet, and kind. Me and my finance were staying in Bangkok and were looking for a quick tour of Pattaya without putting much thought and planning into it. This trip included a view of the city, a trip to an island were we spent hours relaxing on a beach with drinks and food, and we summed it up with visiting the sanctuary of truth. Our guide picked us up from the hotel, planned the entire thing and had us beat lines and overcrowding to feel the best experience. I would definitely rebook if I return to Bangkok.

Memorable one day trip to Pattaya

I am very pleased with this tour mainly bc of our tour guide Cherry. She planned the trip very well so that everything went smoothly. I thought we were early to the meeting point but she was way ahead and waiting for us before we get there which made our lives so much easier. Instructions were very clear and on schedule. She even helped coordinate with the driver to drop us off near our hotel which was not in our itinerary. Great day trip and awesome experience. Thank you Cherry.

We enjoyed this trip a lot. Very interesting. Cherri( not sure if I spelt the name correctly) is friendly, fun too and was very good, organizing everything. Things went smoothly and with ease. The driver did a great job too.

The universal human appeal of decency and truth

The Sanctuary of Truth was spiritually rewarding experience, without bias to any religion, just to a person for more positive roles in society. Few places are so universally acceptable and timelessness in their message. The messages are universal and even if the prominent persons highlighted for praise are all from Asia, no one can blame the effect of personal exposure but all the selected eminent souls are worth of the honour given to them The construction of the whole structure in intensively carved timber is itself a message: trust in what is perceived as perishable but in fact can serve eternally. The detail in construction encourages devotion and care.

A nice tour overall

Nok was a really nice tour guide and I was so grateful she waited on me while I was running behind and even came and got Me when I was lost. The tour is jam packed with lots to do so make sure you’re prepared. Also the boat ride to the island is very choppy feel free to take some motion sickness pills if need be. A nice tour overall

Pattaya is chaotic - this tour makes it much simpler to experience!

Our guide was really helpful and ensured we got to and from Pattaya with minimal fuss - including taking us to the right places and suggesting the options for activities and buying food and souvenirs. Recommend Tripguru to make the trip simple and enjoyable 😉

Amazing temple and beach day

Make sure to eat a big breakfast beforehand and bring snacks because you don’t eat lunch until around 12:30 on the island. Took about 2 hours to get to the temple from Bangkok and we took a bathroom break after the first hour and stopped at a convenience store beforehand for snacks. The temple tour was incredible! Full of tourists though and has a little construction going on and it’s super hot! About an hour and a half. It’s hindu and isn’t as strict on clothing. They allowed shawls and knees showing. We had maybe 2.5 hours at the beach. Enough time to eat lunch and go on the snorkel activity. Lunch prices were decent and we paid 100 bhat for a chair and shade with bathrooms included. The tour doesn’t give water, lunch, or snacks so bring lots of cash. Snorkeling was 600bhat for as long as you want. A boat picks you up and picks up any others along the beach and takes you to the end of the beach where the coral is so it takes some time going there and back. The visibility and fish wasn’t nearly as good at phi phi islands but still decent snorkeling! At the end we went to the viewpoint for 10min and then the bathroom anout an hour into the drive back again. Got home around 7pm. Lots of traffic to get to hotels on the way back. Great day overall. Pop was a decent guide. He did a good job keeping us together!

Great day trip with lots to see!

A day away from Bangkok with amazing sights. Truly much to see and experience in one day, especially with a great guide like Jacky! We had so much fun and would recommend this tour to everyone!

Great tour!

Sanctuary of truth and view of pattaya city. Jackie and the driver were good. It was the heat and staying too long on beach is reason I have 4 stars. We were roasted and bored since did not participate in any water activity due to heat. I think just 1-2 hours would have been suffice, would rather spend an hour strolling in the city. We just passed by the city and stopped at top for view and pictures. We did go to a shop to buy some souvenirs so that was a plus. Sanctuary of truth museum was very good. I would recommend this tour but check the weather first ( which I did not)

Beauty in the sun!

So much to see and do in Pattaya but Jackie our tour guide made it all feel effortless. Beauty all around from Coral Island to magnificent mountain views and unique one in the world temples! Would advice all to take this tour.

Great experience and thoughtful guide

I like the agenda pretty much: 2-3 spots in one day, not so stressed, and these destinations are carefully selected to make the trip memorable. The Sanctuary of Truth and the Coral Island show different aspects of beauty of Pattaya: exquisite carving arts and crystal clear sea water. Personally I recommend the temple more cuz the beach was a little too crowded on the day we paid a visit. And for services, I believe you guys would be lucky if you had Jack as your tour guide. He is very talkative and helpful, making the trip extra fun with his knowledge about the country.

This trip was absolutely fantastic. Honestly, it could be sold as a VIP experience considering how well we were treated and looked after by our guide Cherry, and our driver. The journey from Bangkok to Pattaya was quicker than expected (approx 1h45) in a very comfortable private vehicle - just myself, my girlfriend, Cherry and the driver. We were at The Sanctuary Of Truth for around 60 mins in total, with Cherry making all the necessary arrangements for us to enter, experience the English language tour, and be picked up by our driver the moment we were ready to leave. Seamless! We then had a short (10 min?) drive to the pier, where Cherry once again made all the arrangements with the local speedboat company to take us over to Ko Lan (20 min on the boat) for the afternoon (approx 11.30am - 3pm). Ko Lan is beautiful, and such a bonus if you only have one day to play with for an island trip from Bangkok. And essentially being chaperoned door-to-door with such knowledgeable and friendly locals made the whole experience so much more straight forward. Cherry kept us updated as the afternoon went on with regards to timings of our return boat trip. We were then met by our driver at Pattaya Pier, got straight into the car, made a short visit to the viewpoint overlooking the city & beach (5 min drive, 15 mins there) and made our way back to Bangkok. We were back at our hotel before 7pm, after having had the most incredible day. Fully, fully recommend.

Coral island

It was nice to lay on the beach under an umbrella. The view of the bay was fay. The temple of truth was remarkable and absolutely stunning. Wee, our guide was wonderful

Nice experience

The sanctuary of Truth was a beautiful and the guide explained everything very nicely. We did not go to coral island but to another island . The beach was beautiful.

Waste of money

It’s not worth it , it’s basically a transfer business to Pattaya, the tour guide has no idea about the local attractions. Unfortunately it was waste of money.

Dude tour guide

As a solo traveler, my tour was not only not knowledgable about the tour she was giving, but also racist and rude.

Bad experience

Tour guide was nice but had no knowledge, unorganised and pushy. The whole experience much cheaper to do it by yourself, it was very overpriced.

Fun trip out of Bangkok

I really enjoyed this tour, as the Sanctuary of Truth has to be one of the top 3 temples I have seen. The craftsmanship on display there is extraordinary. The view of the city from up high was a picturesque shot. And the 3 hours we spent relaxing on the beach and eating food was a great change of pace from the city feel of Bangkok. Kul was a great guide who always kept us on track and if we wanted to spend more or less time doing things he was happy to accommodate.

A nice day out at Coral Island

Overall trip was nice. Coverage of the trip is good. We loved the museum, the Significance of Truth. The lady who explained the different sculptures and the corresponding meaning, and relating to the lives of the people is really good. Coral island is undoubtedly great, this is the second time we visited Coral island and we enjoyed to the fullest. Interesting part was the ride specially from Coral island to Pattaya mainland while returning. The ride was quite choppy because of the heavy winds but we enjoyed it. Lastly, Paichong, our guide is a nice person. Only point is that, it would have been better if we could get a pick-up directly from our hotel. While, I understand, it is not within the designated zone, but I was staying at JC Kevin, Sathorn which is near only.

Skip the beach, go for the Sanctuary.

Mixed feelings on this one. Nancy was a knowledgeable and experienced guide, but if you are looking for deep knowledge or info about the sites on the itinerary, we didn’t get that. The beach was incredibly crowded and getting to the island was very hectic. I would skip the beach tour. See if you can do just ‘Sanctuary of truth’ - a truly amazing place.

Abit Chaotic but a good day!

Honestly it was abit chaotic at the start when waiting for the boat. The boat ride was lovely though and the views were amazing. We spent about 1 to 2 hours at coral island swimming. I wouldn't recommend doing the jet skying or banna boating as you spend barely 1min on them, but we had alot of fun swimming and finding nice food to eat. The highlight of the tour was the wooden temple. The art work and craft put into the building was spectacular, id love to go back and see it again. Our guide was extremely friendly and helped us with all out needs.

The WORST tour I've ever booked!

This tour was horrible. First, they offer a hotel pickup for an extra fee, and a soon as you book, they will email you that there is NO pickup (with no refund). Then, they sent me the wrong address to meet up, which was an enormous hassle. When I finally arrived, there wasn't any clear indication on where to 'meet'. After everyone in the group eventually arrived, we headed out late. On top of that, our English speaking guide did NOT speak English. During the duration of the tour, it was the most unorganized 'plan' I've ever seen. Our guide had NO clue where to go next, and he would give us awful instructions on where/when to meet throughout the day. We ended up NOT getting to complete the itinerary that we paid for because of it. I do not recommend this tour to ANYONE. I would have given it a 0/5 if I could have.

Sanctuary of Truth and Pattaya

Definitely recommend this trip! Sanctuary of Truth was extraordinary! Beautiful and serene! Arrived at a Pattaya and booked sea walking excursion. Bring cash. There are many water activities. Fun and fun packed activities!

Day away from the city

August is extremely hot. Now that that's out of the way. This was a great tour except I would have liked to stay at the beach longer. The Sanctuary of Truth was pretty cool, but I wish we spent 30-45mins less here to enjoy the beach longer. If you don't have the appropriate clothing, you can leave a deposit which you get back after you return the items. We then headed to the speed boat which took 20 mins to Koh Larn. Once we got to the beach, we were hungry and had to venture to find food. (which took away from our beach time), but food was delicious and you get to use the bathrooms without a fee. The beach is beautiful, but be aware you're swimming with all the engine fumes from speed boats and jet skis. If we had an additional 30-60 mins, that would have been great for us. we had 9 in our small group. Three of them were happy with the amount of time on the beach, while the rest of us could have stayed just a bit longer. If you set your expectations, then you'll be fine. Great tour and guide!

Awesome Trip

I took the package on 18 Nov 2023.The most amazing part was our tour guide Cherry, who is cute and adorable lady. She was funny and warming. The tour went great with fantastic people who I meet in the group.We had fun and enjoyed a lot. The only thing I want you to improve is the meeting point which was little confusing especially for new people in the city. Other wise very very good trip.

Waste of Money -- Bad Boat Experience.

Do not book, whatever you do. The tour was absolutely not worth the money and I’d give it zero stars if possible. $150 USD for two people for essentially a car ride. There are many reasons why I'd steer clear. 1) The van that picked us up was infested with swarming mosquitoes. The driver had opportunities to remove them when we left but he did not. It was a total of four hours round trip from Bangkok and we had to suffer through getting bit. Do not count on getting sleep. 2) The guide made disparaging comments about certain races/peoples that she's given tours to in the past. She also did not “guide” us on anything and spoke to us about herself, not the region we visited. The guide made sure to point out every single "sexy show" in Pattaya and it was highly inappropriate as this is not what we came to tour for. 3) We were stranded on a boat, during very stormy weather, for over 30 minutes. I developed severe nausea and was distressed by the mismanagement of the situation. Boat company had engine failure before we left Coral Island and they still brought passengers out to sea. 4) Pattaya beach is extremely commercialized and smelled awful, of gasoline. The whole time we tried to enjoy the beach, we were bombarded by people selling things. Not relaxing. 5) The driver of the car smelled of cigarettes. 6) Finally, when trying to submit a refund, TripGurus and Viator did nothing to make things right. Needless to say, this tour is not worth booking.

Mean and driver were absolutely fantastic. You can’t be grumpy with their friendly energy. The truth sanctuary is truly awe inspiring. The coral island swimming was fabulous. Eng secured us a spot in the shade before arriving via speed boat. Very easy. Family of 4 with 2 daughters, older, was perfect. Spent about 3 hours on the beach. Bangkok traffic never fails to amaze and Meng and driver played us American pop music to kill The time. It was so fun. Highly recommend

Long journey and day but well worth it.

Love the beach at Coral Island and speed boat trip. I am not a museum person but the Sanctuary of Truth was Amazing and must see. Also did my first ever Sea Walk 👍

Alec is great! He is energetic, charming, funny, and caring! He is knowledgeable and showed us a great time! I hope to see him again. The beach was pretty cool until it rained but our guru got us back safely. The sanctuary of truth was fantastic!!

Nice trip, but make sure you take some speeding money

The day trip from Bangkok to Pattaya proved to be an extraordinary escape, offering a welcome change of scenery. Our adventure commenced bright and early at 6:30 am when our amiable guide picked me up at the hotel, then made stops at other hotels to pick up fellow travelers. Upon reaching Pattaya, we boarded a speedy vessel that swiftly transported us to the serene Coral Island, where we could bask in the beauty of its sandy shores. It's essential to have some cash on hand, as virtually every amenity on the island, from beach chairs and showers to culinary delights, beverages, and a range of activities like snorkeling, jet skiing, banana boat rides, and parasailing, require payment. I seized the opportunity to experience parasailing, an adventure that left me exhilarated. For a fee of 1000 baht, I soared high above the pristine waters, taking in awe-inspiring panoramic views before safely descending to the boat. It was an unforgettable and pulse-quickening adventure in this tropical paradise. We luxuriated on the beach for approximately three hours before returning to Pattaya and then heading to the awe-inspiring Sanctuary of Truth. This remarkable wooden temple, constructed without the use of any nails, featured astonishing wooden carvings that left a lasting impression.

Educational/Adventure/Relaxation

Amazing day out. Beautiful temple. Beautiful beach with tons of activities to do. Went under sea walking which was amazing. There was a storm on the way back from the beach to the city but thanks to google on an iPhone we made it back safely. Our stuff that was on beach chairs was safe and no need to worry about them - our tour guide Pinyo Vijarn was amazing.
