Great experience learning how to cook classic Thai meals, including the famous mango sticky rice! Gift is a great instructor...very patient and happy to answer all our questions. I'll be going for another class on my next visit

The cooking Class with April was much fun and very interesting. We've cooked four famous thai courses and April gave us a lot of informations about the ingredients and thai cooking style. We were only 8 people and had enough time for everything.

Must do in Bangkok!

This experience was amazing, the food was so easy to cook and so tasty. The chef did a good job at going slow so we could all keep up! Bear in mind that the kitchen upstairs where you cook is so hot, but you’re usually only up there for about 5 minutes at a time and then downstairs is lovely and air conditioned!

A great time learning cooking

Gift was a great instructor and gave really interesting and clear explanations on how to cook and shop for the ingredients.

I am not a cook, but this was my best experience in Thailand.

One of the best experiences on our visit to Thailand. April, our tutor, was genial, engaging, forever smiling, informative and empathetic. We prepared four Thai dishes, Thai green curry, pad Thai, mango with sticky rice and a chicken salad. The course was extremely well organised and the explanations and demonstrations were precise. Some of the spices were new to me but April described them and their purpose well I was very proud of my efforts, which were the result of the excellent tuition of April and her staff. I loved it and I cannot cook (Well, perhaps a little now)

Not good.

The tutors explanations were too superficial, not detailed enough. The venue was not very clean. I could see a mouse running in the kitchen and ants on the toilet tub pad.

Horrible experience for something that I paid for and didn't get to do. School switched my class to another location and I wasn't able to find the correct location and no refund for this. Horrible service and it's a scam don't waste your time and money here.

Dont bother

"The class was not as organized as we had expected, we had to wait quite a bit in the morning and again at the class before we could start since everyone had to come separately. The market tour was extremely disappointing as we were only shown two shops and didn't properly learn about any of the ingredients. As for the cooking, we were split up into groups and didnt get to fully cook any of the meals. We didnt even get to assemble the mango sticky rice (which was what i was looking forward to the most). Even though I had specified my dietary restrictions earlier as requested, I was told the dishes ""must have"" chilli inside and was left not being able to eat the dish due to my allergy. The instructor was rude to most of the participants, shouting most of the time, complaining about her boss a lot which is rather unprofesisonal and just wasnt clear at all. Overall I would highly not recommend this tour. I was shocked at the disappointing service given the reviews but we all left extremely disappointed (us and the people that sat around us as well). "

Fabulous

This was a great morning! May, our instructor, was fun, knowledgeable, and helpful. My mother, who is in her 80s, had her best day yet in Thailand. Everyone helped her carry her ingredients tray up and her food down the stairs. She loved trying all the new foods and now has the recipes to try at home. I highly recommend!

We had a great time and...

We had a great time and our instructor, April, made it fun and interesting. We enjoyed our time getting to know the others in the class as well. We left with a new appreciation and knowledge of cooking Thai cuisine. We would recommend it to others who enjoy other ethnic food and cooking.

Delicious Recipes

This was one of the best experiences I had during my Southeast Asia trip. Everything we cooked was fabulously delicious. Our chef instructor, April, was knowledgeable and in charge of her students and the kitchen. Highly recommended!

Such a fun experience

I can’t say enough good things about this cooking class. The lead chef, May, was AMAZING! She is so knowledgeable and has such a great personality. The staff that take care of the kitchen and prep work are highly efficient and so lovely. I did this cooking class with my spouse and 15 year old nephew. We each have different levels of experience with cooking. However, this class was easy enough for us all to follow along, and challenging enough that we each learned new and valuable skills. The flavours in every dish were incredible. I highly recommend booking a cooking class with this cooking school. You’ll be lucky if you get to learn from May. She and her staff made the experience exceed our expectations.

Very accommodating staff

Fantastic class! The staff was very accommodating and able to help aspiring cooks of all levels. We appreciated the step-by-step instructions and the extra care that was taken to ensure we prepared lovely and delicious meals.

Delicious & great value

We had a great class with Chef April! Delicious recipes to make & eat. It was almost private, just us & 1 other couple so we moved a bit faster through the dishes and were done in about 2h 45m. We made tom kha soup with shrimp, pad thai with shrimp, green curry with chicken, and mango sticky rice. The menu for the day is available on their website (we booked through TripAdvisor). Each dish was your own individual portion in a wok, which was fantastic for adjusting to each person's individual spiciness preference. We spent as much time as possible in the heavily Air Conditioned 1st floor space talking about ingredients & prepping our mis-en-place, then we walked upstairs to the no-AC 2nd floor where a bunch of work burners were set up. We went back & forth for each course, so we ate the food when it was fresh & hot, then had a little gap while we talked about+prepared the next course. It was perfect to have the breaks both from eating & from the heat upstairs. Overall highly recommend!

You cook four dishes from scratch. You eat 4 dishes. Lovely instructor and great support staff. Would highly recommend it if you are in bangkok

Great cooking class - also for vegetarians

Great cooking class. The staff was very friendly. We first went grocery shopping and afterwards learned how to make some classic Thai dishes. We were shown some vegetarian alternative ingredients at the supermarket to substitute fish based ones. The recipes could be adapted to a vegetarian diet. The class was very well organized. Overall a great experience.

Good fun and great food.

We’re three good friends looking to experience Bangkok and choose a cooking class as we like Thai food. It was fun, good teacher and staff, and the resulting meals surprisingly good!

Super!

I've had a great time when participating in the cooking class. Everything was well organised and the host (April & Gift) where very friendly and enthousiast! I've learned a lot about the dished we cooked together and the food we cooked was super tasteful!

Not much to do here….

It was just ok. Not really a real cooking class, as much was prepared and what hands on we did was very contrived. We didn’t know that we had to find our way back after the class, as we were ferried there in a tuk tuk in the morning. It was somewhat entertaining, that’s about it.

Absolutely must do when in Bangkok

Chef May was phenomenal! She is so personable and hilarious. Really engaging with the entire group and did an excellent job teaching us about the various spices as well as providing cooking tips like rice to water ratios without measuring cups. The entire ordeal was an experience and I cannot wait to return to Bangkok for the class again. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyable activity

This was an amazing experience in Bangkok and a great introduction to Thai cuisine. We had it at the new location at Sukhumvit 4 which was easy to get to. We had the morning class and Gift the teacher was amazing. It was enjoyable and the food was very delicious. Would highly recommend it for an easy-going activity away from the heat :)

Nice and easy, central location

Nice straight forward cooking class, not too complicated, tour of local market to start in the morning. Eat what you cook. Note there are stairs between the food preparation area and cooking area.

Better experience it so can make similar taste afterwards.

All staffs are friendly and helpful. Instructor, Gift, speaks clearly and gave us many advices. And enjoyed my delicious Thai cooking. I'll recommend this to other people. Maha Nakhon class was small so I changed to Sukhumvit class it's more spacious and can relax. I'll recommend Sukhumvit class to my friends. Thank you

Fun and delicious!

I was 15min late so I missed the market tour in the beginning but luckily I got to wait in the air conditioned dining room for the group to come back. The instructors and food was all fantastic! Highly recommend!

Our guide/ instructor was wonderful! She explained all the ingredients at the market tour as well as at the cooking class. The attention to detail and preparation made the entire experience memorable

Wonderful experience

This class is so worth it. Starting with a visit to the market to look at the fresh ingredients to the preparation and cooking. May, our instructor was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, funny and easy to follow. We loved cooking all the dishes and enjoyed eating them even more. If you're considering a class in Thailand, this is a great one to go to.
