Fantastic way to see old Bangkok!

We had a fantastic tour with Jobe, our guide. He kept us very safe and guided us through the local alley ways and canals of old Bangkok. We stopped at a huge food market, a small refreshment spot, a temple and had lunch by a busy riverside. The owner Adrian waited for us since we were quite late arriving due to traffic. Don’t miss this tour!

A great way to see the Bangkok most tourists won’t see. Highly recommend.

What a great afternoon this was! Hard to believe we were still in Bangkok. Arne was an excellent guide, we had plenty of stops for things to see plus refreshments and the cycling was easy in that it was flat but challenging in terms of some narrow tracks and 90 degree turns.

Super fun bike ride through beautiful neighborhoods to see west side of Bangkok- great stops for local coffee and treats from local market -we walked through guide explained fruits and other foods/very interesting explanation at temple about the old to new and Buddhist and beliefs of Thai people in everyday life- great lunch at a fun restaurant on canal-

Fun adventure

A fascinating look into the lives of ordinary citizens of Bangkok, far from the normal tourist spots, along the canals, railways & narrow passageways. Loved the fresh market..every kind of veg, fruit, animal, fish & mineral I could imagine. Arne was a kind & insightful tour guide. The bike maneuvering was trcky in some places took nerve, steady hands & balance.

Bangkok cycle ride.

Annie was an excellent guide. The ride was at a leisurely pace and the sit up and beg bikes were kept in very good condition. A lot of the ride is in back street lanes and along canals so you see a lot of Bangkok that you would never otherwise see whilst on holiday. There are a few short stretches on busy roads but Arnie made sure we were safe at all times. We stopped off at various points including a food market and a temple. We also had a very nice coffee stop and a light Thai lunch by the canal. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Great tour. Very authentic experience. Arne the owner is very helpful. Polly our guide was lovely and full of knowledge. Lots of fun especially feeding the catfish on the canal !

Backstreets of Bangkok

This was an amazing view of the backstreets of Bangkok. So much that you don’t get to see from the road. Interesting houses on stilts, intricate canal routes, some funky art, good insight into the way people live. I absolutely loved this tour. It was my first day in Bangkok and really opened my eyes.

We could see parts of Bankok that most tourists do not see. The backstreets where people live. You should have some experience in bicycling since many the paths are narrow.

Great way to explore the hidden gems of bangkok and to see how some of the locals live. Great guide Polly had lots of information for us and we had some nice stops, a floating market , lunch along the way and then an afternoon break by the canal which was beautiful.

Great Thanks to Polly,our guide and Arne. A great welcolme when we arrive, a pleasant bike tour in quiet places. We have discovered a real part of the Thaï life. So different as other proposal as we have used before. We had also a great moment of fun and exchange . Bycicling on small allees was funny also. No risk and now we drove as Thai¨people. Just a recommandation to Arne, add more details as to find your location. Need more. Per chance local people knows and there so gentle, It's help a lot. We wish you the best

A Great Experience

What a great experience! I am so glad we booked this trip as, like other reviewers have mentioned, you get to see a completely different side of Bangkok. Our guide, Polly, took us through back streets, on canal paths, though markets, down alley ways stopping at various points to explain places of interest. We visited a beautiful temple and a small local factory where some incredible craftsmen made the most beautiful bowls. At no point did we see any other tourists which was great! Lunch was delicious and the cycling very straightforward. Our bikes and helmets were great and the whole trip was very well organised. Thank you Arne and Polly for an unforgettable experience in Bangkok.

A good half days ride with a local Bangkok resident.

I had a great ride with Arne through the back alleys and streets of Western Bangkok.This is not a highlights of Bangkok tour, but gives you an idea of how ordinary people live.Relaxed and easy riding.

The tour was amazing!! Spent a couple hours biking in and out of the backstreets of Bangkok. My tour guide was very passionate and knowledgeable of Thailand.

See Bangkok from its tranquil side

A wonderful experience that lets you see Bangkok from its more tranquil side. The cycling pace is pretty chill so even if you're a couch potato like me, you don't need to worry, it's perfectly manageable and cold drinks are provided throughout the tour to help you deal with the heat. Great value for money overall.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok

Absolutely outstanding experience. We certainly saw a side of Bangkok we would never have seen. It was a very easy pace and anyone who has not been on a bike for a while should manage as the route is very flat. Our guide was very friendly and was able to give us interesting facts at our stop off points. We can throughly recommend this experience to families and people wanting to see a different side of Bangkok away from the huddle and bustle. Brilliant day thanks

Best day in Bangkok, jobie was very knowledgeable and funny, an unforgettable day, some of the tracks certainly get a bit hairy at times but it just adds to the excitement and you definitely get to see the other side to the city

Afternoon bicycle tour with lunch

We booked our trip late afternoon for the next morning. This trip appeared to be full. Arne, the owner , with more than 18 years of experience was quick in his reply and offered us an alternative for the afternoon. The starting point and office is just of the main road and has good bathroom facilities. The solid bikes were in a good condition and suitable for tall people. Arne lead our tour ( we were lucky with a small group as only another couple from Amsterdam joined) The narrow pathways will need some cycling skills. The tour was located where locals live, also no touristy sites. We visited a local Wat. We had a great lunch (4 choices) at a tiny place in the middle of know where. Best pat thai. The tour was very safe and we made some tactical stops to avoid the rain. The small local market was very interesting and tried some fried bananas. On our way we saw a massive lizards swimming in the canal. On our return we were welcomed with a glass of fresh orange juice. We have done other tours but this is definitely one of the better ones.

Amazing bicycle tour through back lanes of Bangkok

Arne took us through the back streets of Bangkok. Visited some wats, market, saw different view of Bangkok. Crossing many bridges over the klontgs. Had an excellent lunch. Really a must do attraction, and Arne is a great guide.

A great experience

It was great to see the backstreets and canals of Bangkok and how the local people live. Polly and Jobe were super guides and Arne and his wife were friendly. It was good to see a more authentic side of Bangkok. We had a tropical deluge at the end which added to the experience!

Fantastic bike ride “behind” Bangkok

We were 4 adults (incl. 2 Young adults age 18 and 20) We had an amazing trip around areas in Bangkok, You do not normally see as turist. Our guide was excellent and gave good background info about Bangkok during the trip. We can deffently recommended this trip. Nice thai lunch included.

Jobe was our tour guide and he did an amazing job. Extremely knowledgeable of local Thailand and showed us around unique spots. Great experience and highly recommend!!! Good directions were given to get to the bike place and we were helped getting a taxi on the way home.

Backyard tour of Bangkok.

A "behind the scenes" look at Bangkok. Rode thru alleys and trails away from the usual highlights (passed by shanties & canal homes, saw food market & local pagoda temple, ate lunch by the river, shared coffee in a local shop). Owner of bicycle tour is Swedish ex-pat now living in Thailand for 20 years. A different type of city tour which nicely complements the more touristy sites.

Great "behind the scenes" tour of Bangkok.

This was a great tour to give you a picture of Bangkok that many tourists don't see. We were truly immersed in the local area and didn't see one other tourist during the entire tour. The guide was great and she passed along a lot of really good information and knowledge. We stopped at a local house to eat lunch and also took a mid-morning refreshment break in a very small cafe that overlooked the canals. You are navigating some tight areas and if you go off the path you will go straight into a canal so make sure you are confident riding a bike.

Don’t pass up this opportunity

I had high expectations from reading previous reviews … expectations that were exceeded by this terrific experience. Despite heat well in excess of 100 F (38 C) degrees, we had a good time, with informational stops and a wonderful lunch at a little cafe-style venue on one of the canals. Our guide made sure everyone had everything we needed, including fruits she bought at the market for snacks. It was a great way to see daily life in Bangkok and meet new people at the same time.

Highly recommend bike tour when visiting Bangkok . So much fun. We went on Sunday and roads were pretty empty . Which I think is good thing if you like me not ride a bike often

What a lovely tour! If you want the big, splashy, tourist magnets then this is not for you. But if you want a fun jaunt through the back alleys, klongs and bucolic corners of this otherwise bustling city, take this tour. You are very well looked after, our guide Arne who owns Bangkok by Bike was friendly and knowledgable and I would not hesitate to do it again...

Great tour of hidden Bangkok ! Rode along canals, saw Mango fields, beautiful Wat (temple) and best Pad Thai ever at the “Restaurant from NoWhere”! Polly was a great informative guide. Highly recommend.

“Moniterin” lizards Living in Bangkok’s watercanals. This cresture about 80 cm long. Getting up to 2 meter long eating fish’es all day long.

Fun way to see the real Bangkok

This tour was very fun. I would not recommend to anyone who doesn't ride a bike regularly as there are some tight turns and some hazards such as uneven sidewalks, open edges and some busy roads to cross, but the guides kept us quite safe and it really exposed daily life in Bangkok in a way a more traditional walking tour would not. If you like to bike, I highly recommend it!

Lovely bicycle trip

If you are interested to know more about local Bangkok culture, love riding a bike and visit some places different than the tourist common attractions this tour is for you. We had an amazing morning riding bikes and being immersed in the local life of Bangkok. The owner was an incredible tour guide with his 20 years of experience living there, I am sure he has enough knowledge to make you fall in love with this bicycle trip. Make sure you have a good balance to ride the bike in small spaces. We visited the local floating market (try sticky rice with mango 😋), some traditional temples and we had local lunch. Feel like a child riding a bike while you are immerse in a part of Bangkok. Highly recommended this tour.

Our guide was very friendly and the trip was well-planned. Nice way to explore old Bangkok instead of cycling on the busy roads. We rode small paths and saw local life. We will kindly recommend this trip!

Very experienced tour guide

This was a great tour and the owner/guide we had was very knowledgeable of the area. He clearly loves what he does and has a passion for Thailand. I would however say that you should be pretty confident and competent on a bicycle for this tour. This is NOT for beginners on a bicycle as one moment of balance loss could send you to a steep fall. If your good on a bicycle I would recommend this tour.

A must-do in Bangkok!

A must-do activity in Bangkok! Excellent tour and guide. So fascinating cycling through the alleyways and neighborhoods of this area which is so far removed from the chaos of the traffic. Very peaceful and very green. It really was like being in another world. Highly recommend!
