Great value trip

Great value for the money paid. Worth visiting both rail and floating market, unique things to do. Tour guide was great, easy to talk to. We would recommend the trip to everyone!!!!

A tour with no tour guide

The tour operator Kiyzo is more like a pick up and drop off transport company. These people hardly speak English and don’t communicate among themselves. Hard to reach prior to the tour start date. Won’t recomend this to anyone. Viator website does not describe this as a half day tour

RIpoff, don't book online, or at least not the $80 version of this tour.

The actual market was disappointing, but that was largely a problem with the aftermath of the COVID19 pandemic. My issue with this tour is that is a ripoff. I paid $80 through this site, but people in my tour group, who were doing the exact same activities I was, paid only $25 or so (the last $5ish at the market for the row boat) by booking in person. DO NOT book through this site, wait until you get to Bangkok and book there, there are little tour office around. It's also not 6 hours, more like 8+, depending on the order you get picked up and dropped off.

Should try this!

Our guide was nice! Pick up and drop off was offered to our hotel. Our minivan was comfortable and the driver was nice! Definitely a one of a kind local experience! Would recommend it! The only downside was you don’t receive any communication from the operator via WhatsApp ahead of time about the reservation and pick up so I had to reach out multiple times via viator app to coordinate pick up.

Don’t spend your time and money on this!

Don’t spent money and your precious time om this! This is just one big tourishippo - unfortunately. We were told by the guide so many time that this was where the locals did their shopping - severals time of the day … I hope not. 80% of the products were souvenirs and just the same that are sold everywhere else in Thailand. It was exiting to se how the sellers managed to move everything from the track at the railwaymarked, but it’s sad to se that we the tourists are the biggest challange. In the floating marked we where placed in the charming boats - but the trip was anything but charming … The sellers were very pushy and grumpy. The bustrip back to Bangkok took over 2 hours because of the trafficjam. Not a good experience.

Floating market bangkok

This tour was organised by Big country vacation and the tour guide was Sarah. I have to say that thanks to Sarah that the four of us in our group were impressed with the whole experience. We cant praise Sarah enough. Her knowledge and ability to get everyone in our group of ten to try the local produce was excellent. We can thoroughly recommend anyone to try this tour. beyond my expectation

I was really looking forward to the floating market more than the railway but turned out the market was super crowded and was hard for me to get perfect photos, overall the boat experience was great, the railway market was best, i enjoyed more there..

Worst experience ever!!

It’s like you sometimes read in the papers but it never happens to you. The guide - he didn’t tell or guide anything- and the driver (who talked with his friend during driving) tried to make extra money, otherwise they would drop you off the car somewhere far from your hotel going back! Horror: People paid!! Some showed their reiceipts that they paid for transfer but the guide just took away this paper! At the floating market they ask for extra money, too otherwise no paddle boat. (Was included on voucher,Too) we fought and only got 10 min boat instead of 30 min. Especially the Koreans where easy targets for them because of their bad English. Oh we were shocked and can only tell you: Never book a tour with this company as long their guide and driver works for them. They got rich only with this 1 Bus one tour! Worse than Mafia!!

I would recommend this trip. The guide spoke good English and was helpful and informative. Both markets was lovely!

"touristic but enjoyable"

A drive was like one and a half hour away from Bangkok, very nice experience,extremely touristic and crowded, our guide was very informative, i enjoyed most the boat ride , the food seem more priced tho, we did have independent time to walk without a guide following, the other market we visited nice to see train passing through,it was a good day all in all.

Fun trip to the markets

Market tours are as described. It is a 2 hour drive to arrive at the floating market and about another 20 minutes to the railway market. Guides/drivers speak limited English, but are able to give the needed information. There are 2 boat rides at the market. A small boat thru where the venders on boats are selling their products. The second boat ride is a larger motorized boat around the outside of the market. You will be on your own to tour the markets. We are independent travelers, and ok with this tour, but if you want to be guided thru the market by a guide this is not the tour for you.

Amazing Tour

The best tour I've had since i visited Bangkok, the highlight of the whole tour was the floating market. I have never seen so many activities happening on those little boats floating on the river. i really loved the authenticity of the market, the fruits and veggies were all very fresh and tasty. I booked this tour, and got loads of new experiences in Thailand, i was picked up from my hotel on time, the guide was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable about her country. I highly recommend doing this tour if you decide to visit Bangkok.

worth visiting the floating-train market **morning time best

Great day Boating at the floating market,delicious food and plenty of souvenirs,make sure you get your bargaining skills sharpened:) Afterwards we headed to the Maeklong Train Market , we arrived at the right time and watch the train entering the station.Make sure you catch the entering very interesting .. Highly recommend this tour

Great day out , amazing experience !

We booked this to try and get some experience if Thailand Beyond our few days in Bangkok and were not disappointed. We received booking confirmation, contact via WhatsApp to confirm and the day before a WhatsApp message to confirm pickup from our hotel. We were picked up promptly, experienced the risky train, markets and floating markets, coconut factory. We were treated by Lin to a smoothie each , bought ourselves some lunch .... Had lots of pictures and memories from the hectic and busy floating markets. Would highly recommend , and early start but back to the hotel by 1:30 , thanks for a great day Lin.

Day strolling at the Floating Market

The floating market was beautiful, I've never seen anything like it before. they do almost anything on those little boats, they cook, sell fruits, vegetables, and fish. It was a wonderful experience, there are also many cheap souvenirs sold everywhere. The guide was very good in explaining and translating. Later on we headed to maeklong railway market. Now that is what i call authentic, it was nicer that i ever imagined.. Thailand is such a beautiful country and i will definitely come back. PS. If you hear the train horn then step into the nearest shop and get your camera ready.

Great experience

Totally loved it Traditional market , delicious food and fruits , natural environment with ancient houses style. It is a bit crowded but nice to experience local lifestyle and culture Kiyzo guides were very reliable and knowledgeable Highly recommend

Leuke markten

De drijvende markt is erg toeristisch. Er waren veel Chinees toeristen en we voelden ons alsof we in giethoorn waren. Er waren nl meer toeristenboten dan boten met handel. Maar evengoed een leuke ervaring. De treinmarkt is bijzonder want die markt is echt een markt voor de inwoners waar van alles en nog war wordt verkocht. En dat alles tegen de rails aan. Elk half uur komt de trein er aan getuft en dan moet de hele handel, inclusief tentzeilen worden ingeklapt en naar achteren. Dat is een bijzondere ervaring die ik niet had willen missen.

Die Reise war super organisiert und alles hat wie am Schnürchen gezogen geklappt... von der super pünktlichen Abholung bis zum Abliefern im Hotel. Der train market war ein kleines Spektakel und eines meiner absoluten Highlights in Bangkok. Der floating market ist wie gewohnt touristisch, aber immer wieder schön. Ich kann die Tour und auch vor allem die Organisatoren wärmstens empfehlen. Mir gegenüber zeigte sich der Organisator äußerst kulant und professionell. Ich habe versehentlich falsche Angaben bezüglich des Hotels abgegeben und war fälschlicher Weise sehr erbost. Man verhielt sich sehr freundlich, professionell und suchte nach einer Lösung, um mir kulanter Weise entgegen zu kommen. Nochmals vielen Dank dafür.
