Great food, even better people

Our tour guide Jibbs made the whole experience. Her passion for her home really came through and made the food all that much more special. Two words of advice: 1) come HUNGRY, you will eat a ton, and 2) ask for Jibbs. She seriously did an amazing job showing us the hidden gems of her city.

Jazzi is one of a kind

This tour was great. The food and the tuk tuks were an experience that is unrivaled. We learnt about the language, we learnt about where the food comes from and how it should be consumed but more importantly we learnt about the passion behind the food through the amazing tour guide jazzi. Would recommend this over and over again.

Wonderful tour!

What a great 4 hour tour! My guide Sasa was wonderful, so helpful in explaining Bangkok history, Thai culture and Buddhist traditions. Turk Turk drivers friendly and very good. Food tastings were so numerous and interesting, the dinner on the river was a terrific locale. Couldn’t have been better.

Awesome experience

B was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made us feel immersed in the local culture in a safe and interesting way. Highly recommend this tour, but go with an empty stomach!

A great culinary and cultural experience

Net, our guide, was delightful. She spoke excellent English, and encouraged us to try numerous items. Clearly she did not have a set agenda and selected different items for us to try including grasshoppers. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Do not miss this tour!

My husband and I came to Bangkok as part of our honeymoon. We had the pleasure of doing the evening food tour with "P". He was an amazing tour guide and brought us to the hidden street food gems of Bangkok that we would have never found without a local, including a Michelin recommended noodle vendor. As avid foodies we had many amazing meals across our 2 week trip, but the food we had on this tour was the best. Highly reccomend!

A Memorable Food Tour of Bangkok

We had a wonderful time and our guide“P” (that’s what he goes by) did an outstanding job and his English is very good; Great food including a stop at a Michelin recommended food stall; Lot’s of good information about the food, an unscheduled visit to the flower market which was beautiful, and a really fun Tuk Tuk ride through the city.

Great night of food and sights!

P was a wonderful guide who shared his love of Bangkok street food with us! Not to give away too many of the surprises, let’s just say this is a great tour to experience both the sights and food of Bangkok. It was a great thing to do when we were only in the city for two nights. And the “smiliest tuk tuk driver in Bangkok” was amazing too. Highly recommend this tour!

Spicy side of Bangkok!

Spicy! Hot! Delicious! Fun! (And educational, informative, well-organize and interesting). My husband and I had the best time with P, eating satay and soup, chicken and chilis. Highly recommend!

Tony is the man - amazing food experience!

We ended up being on own private tour as most people take the tour that includes the temples etc…but if you really want to experience real Thai food with the locals and try things you could never imagined then this is the tour for you. We zipped in and out traffic, went to local side street vendors and tasted some amazing food…we have never been so full, and to see how the locals eat and how truly cheap it can be is just crazy… So much food, and our guide Tony and driver Seksan were so lovely… My husband is a foodie and a big eater and he loved every minute of it. I’m not adventurous at all, but surprised myself by trying things and they were so delicious. We have done both the night tours with Expique and this one was definately our favourite!!! Thanks guys!!!

Super fun, authentic food experience

Such a fun tour! Mr. Phi was fantastic and showed us all his favorites foods. We even got to see a picture of his cat! Cannot recommended highly enough

Enjoyable Tour!

We couldn’t fault this tour. From booking to getting back to our hotel. We met at our Hotel and took the BTS to the meeting point. This is our 4th trip to Bangkok and have learnt that at peak hours taking the train will get you places a lot quicker than taxi. Our guide was Net and she was wonderful. A great grasp of English given my Thai is non existent. Even though this was a food tour we managed to see a couple of historical sights and went to the flower market which had a stunning array of colours. Our first food stop was at a local market and simply somewhere we wouldn’t go because it’s out of the way. Here we tried chicken skewers of different types, a butter type pancake, and a few other things which were divine followed by a hotpot (we did have a choice to go to a restaurant with air con). Next stop we were off on the tuk tuk and pulled up outside a dark alley which we walked down to a place on the Michelin guide for chicken and noodles- YUM. After this we headed to China town for more food. I didn’t realise it would be so busy. This just added to the experience. Our driver Mr Seksan was very obliging letting us take photos with his pimped out Tuk Tuk. Much appreciated! I would highly recommend this tour and suggest you don’t eat that day before going lol!

Incredible time touring around Bangkok and eating a ton (and I mean a TON) of food. Bring your stomachs on empty because you’ll be full by the end of the night. We had a great time with Jib as our guide. She has a great knowledge of Thailand and Bangkok and gave us a food tour we will never forget.

An unforgettable food adventure in Bangkok

We did this as a corporate team building experience and had a blast! Riding to the local markets in the tuk tuk was a highlight. Talking with our fantastic guide we learned food and culture of the Thailand people; Tried snacking through the market (lots of opportunity to try things we wouldn’t have ever thought of!); ate delicious meals at various hidden places on the sidewalk or alleys that were even Michelin rated! Being foreigners our guide was very helpful with ensuring what we were trying was safe to try. She provided sanitizer, wipes between stops. Our tuk tuk drivers stayed with us from start to finish while providing water, smiles and laughs has we motored through the streets as a group with chances for pictures of one another. It was an adventure we all walked away with saying it was unforgettable!

Food tour Bangkok

Booking easy with clear instructions to meet the team. Guide P and Tuk Tuk drivers were excellent. All the food was delicious, hard to choose a favourite! We also sampled toast and sweet tacos and walked around the flower market. Tuk Tuks were a great way to see Bangkok at night, highly recommended!

Could be better

Jazzy was amazing, she gets 5 stars. Food was not very good, having done other food tours this was not as good as them. I feel there is better food tours out there and this one needs to up its game to compete.

Tuk tuk terrific!

Our guide was Pim and she provided us with an exceptional experience! The food of course was delicious, but Pim's information about the temples, architecture, history and food is what MADE this trip. Pim was knowledgeable, bubbly and enthusiastic. Thanks for a great tour!!

“A” our tour guide was super fun and took us to great spots to try foods we had not tried before. Be forewarned, it’s a lot of food! But it’s all so delicious!

Great food, great guide, great time!

Our tour guide Jesse was phenomenal with such energy and passion for Thai food and Bangkok generally. The food was amazing and we felt like we were learning the entire time. Your was carefully planned with a variety of foods and locations throughout the city. Great for exploring less common Thai food that we otherwise wouldn’t have known about.

Wow!! Better than expected!! Elena was a fantastic tour guide. She shared such a variety of flavors, and didn’t rush us at all. She even stopped at picturesque spots for photo opps. She kept going til no one had any room left!! Thank you, Elena 🙏

We took the tour with 2 other couples. Great experience. Food was very good, we saw a lot of the city too and the guide (Bee and her team) were excellent.

More than just a food tour…

Great way to see Bangkok and eat some tasty food. You don’t need to be too adventurous with your tastes to enjoy this trip. Our guide Elanor was excellent as she explained the history of each dish as we zoomed through the streets in the tuk tuks. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the meeting point bc of Bangkok traffic.

Amazing time and great food with our guide Net

We had an amazing time with our guide Net! She was the best and took suck good care of us. We were able to try and taste up to 20 different things across Thai Cuisine. This is a tour you should not miss - so worth it and you get to travel between places in style, Tuk Tuk ☺️

The best experience ever!

Can not recommend enough. We went as a group of 14 and had the best time. The ride was brilliant, so much laughter. The food was plentiful and delicious. We saw so much of Bangkok. Memories made forever! A special mention to Jazzy, who's personality made the whole evening.

Amazing food and tour

This was my second food tour in a week and was by far the best. We went to amazing places we would never have found on our own, and our guide Jazze was the best.

Terrrific tuk tuk food tour.

Our guide Bee was terrific and brought us to a great selection of food options. The tour was very well planned out and even included a Michelin recognized noddle stop. Perfect food choices and a great experience.

Fun tour and delicious food!

Our tour guide, Bee, and our driver, Jack, we’re excellent! Bee was witty and charming. The stops on the tour were all so unique and equally delicious. The Tuk Tuk’s we’re always right there to take us off to our next stop. We saw so much of the city and got history too. Was a great introduction to Bangkok since it was our first night here. Loved it!

Great experience, even with the unexpected

Our trip took an unexpected twist. Our daughter had a stomach virus that started the day prior. Early in the tour it was clear we needed to call an audible to go to a pharmacy. Our guide, Eliana, was fantastic. She was unfazed and got us what we needed and back to our hotel, all while teaching us about Thai food, history and culture. Our tour was much shorter than planned but we still learned a lot and enjoyed the food. The logistics were impressive and Elana was a rock star. When we come back to Bangkok we will finish the tour and I highly recommend it.

Fun tour , good to go !

Our tour guide Jazzy is very eloquent and very fluent in English . Was a very pleasant evening with Jazzy . He’s also witty and has a passion for food . He’s also knowledgeable and knows the population of Thailand at the tip of his finger . Go for the chicken noodle instead of pad Thai. The chicken noodle is just so good and we get to visit the kitchen too . Pad Thai queue is just too long .

Fun and Great food

What a fun night. Riding around on the Tuk Tuk was awesome. Great food, and our guide was very engaging. Most amazingly, 5 minutes in, we realized that the other couple and I went to the same high school 5 years apart. Can't make that up. Just bring some toilet paper as the available restrooms don't stock it. We did this excursion on our first night in Bangkok.

Brilliant food tour

Had an amazing time with our guide Jazz on this food tour. The food was amazing with a variety different foods try throughout the evening. It gave us the opportunity to do things that we may not have felt comfortable doing and ordering if we were in our own. Highly recommended!

Not your average dinner out!

This tour gave us the opportunity to eat like locals. We visited a street food market, a hot pot restaurant, a noodle shop, and food carts in Chinatown, for a unique sampling of native specialties. Our guide, Naila, was knowledgeable and fun. I have dietary restrictions, and she was conscientious about making sure that the food was safe for me.

Awesome tour!!!

Bee was awesome!!! As someone who used to live here I hadn't been back in almost twelve years. Was great to have her show me what had changed in my favorite city in the world!! Would recommend to anyone who wants to see the cool parts of Bangkok....

Great local food experience.

Great evening out. Bee our guide was excellent. We tried various local dishes that are not what you’d normally eat in Thailand, well worth taking the tour.

Our guide Elena was absolutely the best! We felt she was very knowledgeable and was able to take us to all the best locations. The food was absolutely delicious and our tuk tuk driver was also very pleasant. Overall my daughter and I had one memorable night. Highly recommend.

Personalized experience for all tastes

We chose this private tour for a corporate team building event for five and it didn’t disappoint. Meetup was relatively easy. Our tour guide Net was enthusiastic and agile, taking us to places and introducing us to foods we wouldn’t have found on our own. while also tailoring the tour in real time to our diverse interests, tastes, and energy levels. Like kids in a candy shop, if we had requests or saw something we wanted, Net made sure we got it, in what turned into an “all-you-can-eat” experience. The team also dropped us off after at the location of our choosing. A little more expensive than some of the other Tuk Tuk food tours on Viator, but the personalized experience was worth it. Want to do it again with my wife!

Fun evening

JoJo was a great host. A fun way to spend an evening in Bangkok. The tuktuk drivers were lovely and it was good to see Bangkok temples after dark.

Tuk Tuk Food Tour in Bangkok (Sept 2022)

Elena was an excellent tour guide, and gave us a uniquely local experience that I could not have hoped for on my own. Really interesting food choices, very interesting sights, and a safe Tuk Tuk ride in between the stops. Never felt awkward, always felt welcome.

Perfect way to see the city!

When you only have one night in Bangkok, this is a must.

The food tour was amazing. We had a fantastic guide Jip who was very knowledgeable about both the cultural history of Bangkok as well as the different kinds of food we tried.

The food was amazing, I have always wanted to try street food but I was worried about getting sick. But Jessy guided us to the best street food.. so delicious and clean. We learned a lot about Thai culture too. I highly recommend the tuk tuk food tour .

A brilliant experience for local street cuisine

A fantastic experience and great way to see a less-touristy side of Bangkok. Our guide Elena was a delight, as she shared not only her passion for regional food and street vendor specialties, but also the culture and history of Thailand. Hot tip - Don’t eat for at least four hours beforehand, there is so much food to be experienced on this tour! Highly recommended!

Unmissable tour for foodies

An amazing tour of the best Bangkok has to offer in its endless supply of street food and night markets. The food was amazing, the Tuk Tuk riding super fun, Expique was extremely accommodating with regards to our numerous personal requirements, and our guide Ned was honestly one of the best guides we’ve had in any tour ever.

Best food tour ever? Definitely!

We had an excellent time on this tour! Our tour guide Jib was ah-maz-ing! She was extremely knowledgeable about all types of Thai food and cooking methods/ingredients. We tried so many things that by the end of the tour we had to start saying no to things we could try because we had no more room left 🤣. It was also an excellent way to have a tuk tuk experience without having to haggle. We all have very fond memories of feeling the night air on our faces on the way to our various destinations in the open (covered) tuk tuk. So many of the vendors remarked to Jib that they were so happy to see as it was the first time in 2 years because of covid. We also did this tour on our first night in Bangkok which really helped guide us in selecting dishes during the rest of our trip. I cannot highly recommend this tour enough - sitting here 10 days later and I’m wishing it was what we were doing tonight! Take this tour, do the private one like we did if you can swing it as it’s so much more personalized and arrive very very very hungry!!!
