Wonderful Bangkok Tour

Guide Kiki and driver Pat were very nice and accommodating to our needs. They took care of the elderly in the group very well and were very responsible. Guide Kiki was also very knowledgeable and friendly, sharing with us the interesting facts of the different places of interest in Bangkok. Highly recommended. 👍👍👍

Informative and friendly tour of Bangkok monuments - at our pace, customised to our interests

Katty was an amazing guide and Pat drove us effortlessly and patiently through Bangkok traffic. We really liked the info on the history of the places we visited, the quirky stories and the spiritual connect with the monuments and temples. It was lovely to discover commonalities in Indian and Thai mythology, and the individual interpretations in each culture! Katty must have been tired answering our questions in the crazy heat, but her smile was as wide as ever when she dropped us off! We felt it was great value - Aircon commute and seeing the best bits of the city with the back stories. Her recommended lunch and Thai foot massage were great!

Great one day tour!

Kiki was an excellent guide and Pat was a great driver. They picked us up from our hotel near the airport, which was nice of them to do. We drove in a clean car with AC. Kiki was very knowledgeable of Thai history and showed us many great spots. She incorporated the spots we wanted to go to seamlessly. The restaurant she suggested was incredible not costly. We’re very thankful we had such wonderful people to show us a day in the life Bangkok and Thai culture.

Customisable Bangkok tour

Katti was a knowledgeable and friendly guide who offered suggestions as to locations yet also worked around our requests. The boat trip suggestion and feeding the fish was great fun. The bonus of an air conditioned car was also welcome in Bangkok . Lovely local food sampled at an excellent restaurant for lunch. Great way to see lots in one day.

Our Guide Alice gave us a great tour of Bangkok!

We actually took this tour on 2 consecutive days. We visited the Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Temple of the Dawn (Wat Arun), Temple of the Reclining Buddha, Baan Baat, the Royal Barge Museum, Khlong Bang Luang Floating Market and Canal Tour, Artist House, Giant Buddah, The Golden Mount (Wat Saket), Tang Toh Kang Gold Shop and Museum and more. Our guide for the 2 days, Alice, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Everyone was easy to work with and helpful.

Fabulous Guide, Excellent Tour and Genuine Thai Kindness!

I have enjoyed this area of Thailand for years...Kiki, our guide was without a doubt one of most kind people I've met here..She was very knowledgeable about the sights we choose to see..Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Boat Ferry and Chinatown since we are close to New Year for them.....Two in our party were 88 and 89 years old, respectively..Yeah!...Did I mention how kind and patientshe was!!! Transportation was Excellent!! Custom Van, Air conditioning and very, very clean....Driver was professional, opened doors, moved seats, etc.. No question we'd hire this company again... Great Job, all around! Kiki our guide was tremendous!!

Horrible

The tour was OK, but the transportation from the cruise ship terminal into Bangkok was a disaster. We were confirmed to be picked up at 7:00am . Driver showed up at 8:45am and we didn't leave the port until 9:45am. Unable to contact tour operator. Horrible customer service.

Not recommended..

There was miscommunication where to meet us. Guide did not announce himself to front desk at hotel to advise he was in lobby waiting for us, we passed him few times in lobby not aware he was our guide:( 30 minutes later we meet up he seemed frustrated....after many calls to company. We never discussed a customize itinerary just felt like we drove around Seeing sights. I requested to see market with long boats was told no time. Tour stopped at 4:30 we did not get the full 8 hours of touring.... He was conversing mostly with the driver, not explaining to as different sites. English very poor would not recommend

Great way to see Bangkok on tight sked

Mr Somchai was very good knew a lot of history and shared valuable insights. He and our driver navigated the city with ease and comfort... drinking water and snacks provided too... we visited the Golden Buddha, Wat Po, river, Kings Palace, Chinatown, Money Museum and Gem Gallery among other members. Would ŕecommend this private tour service anytime for those wanting to maximize sight seeing on a tight schedule. Thank you for a great 1st visit to Thailand.

I loved that I was able...

I loved that I was able to make this my own! I would recommend, the major attractions are pretty spread out , so there is nothing like being driven around with AC and not having to walk far in the HOT HOT sun.

Fatalistic Private Tour for a Day in Bangkok!

This tour was just what we needed to close out a long vacation in SE Asia. We had a day in Bangkok and wanted to focus our time at the Grand Palace, Wat Pho to see the Reclining Buddha, and take our time for lunch and shopping at MBK Shopping Center. We were picked up promptly at our hotel at 9am, and spent the day with our tour guide, Jack, who verified what we wanted to do for the day at our pace. Jack was personable and informative, and we also had a very good driver and clean, air conditioned mini van to get us from spot to spot. We returned to the hotel when we were ready, which was at 4pm. Overall, a great day doing what we wanted at our pace. Simply fantastic. I'd recommend this for couples or small groups of four or six to make the most of this service.

Best Day Ever!

My tour guide was kind and patient! She did everything I wanted. She took all of my pictures in the hot sun with no complaints and helped me find something to eat. The driver was kind as well. The van was very nice and luxurious! I had the best day in Bangkok because of this activity. 10/10. Definitely book it if you want to customize your tour.

One can do this alone too

2 men came. Guide and driver with new Isuzu SUV. This was very comfortable, because I could talk with the guide while driving and we never needed to search a parking lot. The guide speaks English well.

Wonderful Day!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Janey was an amazing guide from start to finish and kudos to our driver for maneuvering us all around the busy city She reached out ahead of time to help us plan our itinerary and was organized, thoughtful, flexible, knowledgeable and sweet. We had a fantastic day in Bangkok. Having this tour enabled us to see and do so much in one day, with the convenience of relaxing in the air conditioned van between stops. I highly recommend this tour, you win't regret it. Ask for Janey if possible!

Not great

Car was very old and dirty and guide was very hard to understand. Not worth the money that we paid. I would not recommend.

Customized Private Tours are the best!

Why have other people take you to places they think you want to see, when you can literally create your own tour of where you want to go? We returned to Bangkok after a week in Chiang Mai and Koh Samui, wanting to check out several places before we headed back to the States, but unable to find a tour that would take us to them. Then we saw this tour option. We booked the tour, told them the places we wanted to visit, and two days later, we were doing exactly that. Chanin, our guide, was just so helpful getting us around, and giving us the freedom to explore on our own.

I believe the name of our tour guide was Ken and he was wonderful. He was very friendly. He checked on a daily while we were in Thailand. He was very knowledgeable and his tour was amazing!

Excellent tour experience!

Ken was an excellent tour guide! He spoke English well and was able to tell me facts about the country’s history and point out the beautiful aspects of the Thai culture and people! I enjoyed spending the day visiting several historic sites and got to do some bargain shopping too at a small floating market and the sprawling JJ market! Ken ensured I got back to my hotel at the end of the day even though it was a bit later than the original end time. He also took me great pictures, which I really appreciated since I was traveling alone. It was great to capture some of the sights. Ken went far and beyond by keeping in touch with me the next day and helping me arrange for a car to pick me up and drop me at the airport. He stayed in touch to ensure I got to the airport on time. Thanks to Ken, my trip to Bangkok will remain memorable! I highly recommend his services if you are visiting Thailand!

A must do when in Bangkok

VISIT BANGKOK YOUR WAY!

Wear your most comfortable pair of walking shoes because Chris and Ann will make sure that they take you EVERYWHERE! We showed him a list of places we were interested in seeing and he advised on the best days and times for some of the sights and put the rest in an order that made our outing easy and memorable. If you love taking pictures, Chris will make sure you get plenty of great shots at the best places including the temples. Do not not delay. Put your list together and get ready to learn, relax and have fun. In one day we visited 3 temples, went to the floating market (first time on a boat) and had a late lunch.

Wonderful tour

It was a lovely experience. Chris took his time to explain every part of the tour and made it a memorable one for my husband and I. We went to see the Golden Buddha, several temples, took a nice boat ride with the city view and still had time to go shopping. It was the best one yet.

Nice Trip

Excellent trip, our guide advised us the good places to visit and explained the places very well. The wat pho temple, grand palace and other temples were beautiful structure construction and paintings.

got to see more than i thought we would. guide was knowledgeable but a little hard to understand. be prepared for traffic unfortunately but no way around it as major temples do not have nearby metro or bts.

Good one-day sight seeing tour in Bangkok

They came to pick me up on time, luckily Piu borrowed an umbrella for me at the hotel because the sun was intense! Car was very clean and AC worked perfectly! Good schedule to go see the 4 main attractions in the city without so many people and in a short time (6 hrs approx). Wish he would have told me more about the story of the different places... It was more a trip of going to see the pretty things rather than learning a lot but I enjoyed it a lot! Definitely paying the 20baht for the boat ride to Wat Arun is worth it!

Explored a lot in Bangkok, visited museum, temples, walking streets and had boat ride. Learned Thai Culture, History and traditions. A lot of fun ... Great Bangkok walking tour with our guide Tusid

Visiting Bangkok the first time we were so happy to see beautiful points of interest with Tusid, who was our guide. He knows Bangkok inside out, presented his city with a great sense of humour: The Grand Palace, the reclining Buddha in Wat Pho Temple, the Wat Arun Temple of Dawn... filigreed with a lot of information and little stories about the culture and history of Thailand and the royals. We liked to experience Bangkok by longtailboat...Tusid organized it within few minutes as well as a ride on the tuktuk as well as medicine we needed from a nearby pharmacy. Taken as whole not only a tourist tour but a day with a friend. Thanks a lot for that wonderful and exciting day.

What a disaster

The tour company that marketed this private customizeable tour 8 hour tour of Bangkok on VIATOR is apparently located in some remote country and did nothing to prepare for the tour. We were 4 originally and we changed it to 6 people. I discussed the size of the vehicle and the places we wanted to visit with the booking tour company ( we spent about $800 US which included a ship pickup). The vehicle arrived late and of course was too small for the 6 of us plus driver plus guide. Eventually they got us a suitable van but the tour operator was not the company we booked with. It seemed the original tour booking company subbed out this tour to another tour company ( that seemed to specialize in booking stuff for backpackers). They had no feedback from the original tour company about what we wanted. They tried hard but the day was a bust. I do not recommend this tour.

This was our first time using Viator...

<p>This was our first time using Viator and we were prepared for anything. After this tour I am a believer in Viator. Poopay showed up right on time and we set off for the most enjoyable day I have ever spent in Bangkok. It was more than we could have imagined. It was a holiday Songkran which meant crowds, some things closed and many holiday activities. Poopay took this into account and made sure we got the best of everything and we became participants in this holiday, not just spectators. The day was spent doing what we wanted. Poopay even helped us plan our evening. We wanted to hear Bangkok jazz and Poopay made sure we had an intinerary that worked. I have been to Bangkok before and felt I knew my way around. I could never have packed so much into one day with out Poopay. This day was one of the highlights of our 3 week vacation and was certainly on of the best bargains we encountered. Poopay is a unique and talented individual who will forever be part of our memories of Bangkok.</p>

<p>In general, we had a great day. Our tour guide, Poo-pay was very polite, attentive, accommodating, and offered suggestions to help us determine the plan for the day. He went out of his way to answer our culture/custom questions. One disappointment was there was no water in the Van, although we did stop and the guide did purchased some. In addition, we did not realize that our guide could not enter the Grand Palace as he was not a certified guide for this site. Upon arrival he helped purchase our entry tickets, at our own expense, and then directly us to the entrance. He did not orient us to the layout inside the palace nor explain any of the features and where we should focus our efforts. As a result we missed seeing the emerald Buda as we did not understand that it was located in one of buildings inside the palace perimeter. In regards to our shopping requests, we were taken to a silk store that did custom tailoring and a gem store. Although neither place was pushy, it was clear that the guide would benefit from any purchases we made, so this was a bit uncomfortable.</p>
