From Austin: Hill Country BBQ & Wine Shuttle

Great Experience

We took the BBQ and Wine tour, and it was great! Our first stop was at the Salt Lick, and the food was delicious. We visited both Fall Creek and Duchman winery, and both were awesome! Our tour guide, Kelty, was super fun and made the drive so smooth!

BBQ and wine get ya feelin fine

Kelty was an excellent tour guide. Tons of laughs, local knowledge, and good times. Salt Lick and the two wineries were great.

Our tour guide Connor was...

Our tour guide Connor was friendly and very knowledgeable. The food and wine tasting experience was excellent and I would recommend this to other people as well.

Great trip outside the city

Had a delightful time. Met at Austin Visitors center based on clear instructions before departing, Connor was our guide, very friendly and fun to communicate with during the ride. The BBQ was delicious, limited choices on sides however. Learning about TX wine was a treat. Would recommend the tour especially if you have a beautiful weather day like my friends and I had for our excursion.

The barbecue was terrific. The wineries were great!!! Conner was very personable and got the group to have a great time!

It was such a fun experience! We loved it! The tour guide was knowledgeable of everything Austin. E made new friends and enjoyed each others company.

Our tour was excellent all the way around. Headed to great BBQ place, were served quickly, then visited 2 lovely wineries. Ike is a fantastic guide.

Nice day in Driftwood

The food was delicious at SaltLick, big portions! The two wineries were nice, well organized and staff were great at explaining the different wines. David, our guide was great! We did carpool karaoke on the way back to Austin. Would recommend this trip and guide.

We’ll be back for another tour!

Fun and casual outing for BBQ and wine. Food and wine were great, and the shuttle was super clean and comfy. The driver, Rich, was super awesome! He was patient, never rushing the group, had a great positive attitude, and helped create a fun atmosphere! The group was a good mixture and had great vibes too. We all had a great time! We’ll definitely try one of the other tours next time we’re in town. It was worth it not having to worry about driving so we could kick back and relax.

Our Tour Guide, Ike, was amazing. Loved how he created a custom play list for our ride home. BBQ was so good and wineries were great.

Such a great trip! An informative way to see the city, the Hill Country, and also eat great BBQ and drink delicious wine! Our tour guide Jax was AWESOME! She had tons of inside info to make our tour and even the rest of our stay super enjoyable!

A not to miss excursion to BBQ

We had a fabulous tour with Trace as driver & guide. It was great to the area outside of Austin. It gave us a nice change of scenery. Trace, having grown up in the area, knew so much about the history of Salt-lick BBQ we loved hearing it all! He made sure we arrived ahead of the lunch crowd! We had the best BBQ. He then took us to 2 excellent wineries for tastings. We weren’t crazy about the first but all the wines at the 2nd were fabulous! Trace was so thoughtful and attentive to our safety & comfort. He also took great photos of us. We’d definitely recommend this fun tour and Trace as a guide.

Amazing BBQ spot, we tried the brisket burned ends and the bison ribs. Texas wine is ok, but worth the adventures

High point is the BBQ at Salt Link. Awesome brisket you can cut with a fork. Pork ribs just as good.

Fun Times!!!

I shared this experience with my adult daughter. The ride was very comfortable and the tour guide, Kelty, was very knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. She made the experience very enjoyable. The food and wine were fantastic. I definitely would do this again.

Amazing

Jax was are guide she was amazing and very knowledgeable. The group was awesome met so many people and enjoyed the fun and laughter. In addition special moment when the group song happy birthday to my mother on the bus ride. That was definitely a nice of gesture 🙌. I will highly recommend this winery trip to family and friends.

Great venues. Guide de a nice job. Timing was good - long enough but not rushed. Visitor center was clean and friendly.

Fun with new friends!

I couldn’t get my photos to upload! But we had a great time with all different groups of people! Friends, family, couple, coworkers! We even met up with most of the crew later that night and enjoyed Rainey St. 🤠 Ike was the best!

Bach & Boozy

Joey was great! BBQ great. Fallcreek Winery was first stop after lunch and we would not recommend. Also let Joey know so as to not schedule for future tours. Fallcreek wine was very uninspiring with flat falvor. Duchman was the second stop and had fantastic and robust notes that made the trip worthwhile. Definitely recommend!

Fun day

It was a very fun day with our guide Max. He kept us entertained and interacting with each other. We did a “ice breaker” on the way with each other. The barbecue at Salt Lick was great, as were the two wine tasting venues. Max made sure that we all had everything that we needed throughout the day.

Fun tour. Food was yummy plus wines. You will enjoy. I went solo and had a good time. Would recommend our tour guide Joey was great.

Fun afternoon

Max was very friendly and did a great job on the tour. BBQ was delicious and setting is very pretty. The wines were ok but the wineries were friendly and overall it was a great experience. Fun to get out of the city and see Hill Country.

Barbecue and wine experience!

Tour guide Jax excellent. Very knowledgeable and made the trip fun. We were on barbecue and wine tour En route she pointed out some Austin sights as well as shared some history She engaged all of the guests with questions and their wine preferences and what they had done their time in Austin!

My thoughts

Brent , our host, was amazing! Nonstop laughs and history of Austin. Such a great a great experience we’re coming back! If you’re looking for something to do while in Austin, do this, you won’t regret it.

Austin Hill Country & Wine tour with Rich!

We enjoyed our time in Hill Country! The BBQ was delicious and the wineries were great! Rich (our tour guide) was the absolute best! Would request him every time!

Texas BBQ, wine tasting, and Jax for the win!

My wife and I needed to find something to do before the big Texas-Georgia game and took a chance on this tour. And we’re both so glad we did!! Everything was perfectly organized from check in to start and itinerary. The best part was our tour guide Jax. She rocks!! She really took interest in getting to know each person in the group and making sure everyone was having a good time. Highly recommend this tour.

Definitely a must do!

We highly recommend this tour!!! Even if you do not like wine, it’s a great trip out of the city. Since it’s pay as you go, you don’t have to buy wine tastings, etc. I strongly recommend requesting Ike!!! He was the absolute best guide. So friendly, personable, he tells great historical stories and makes this a memorable experience. You will not be disappointed!

Very nice feel good trip.

What a fun trip ! David our tour guide was super. Our little group of ten was from all over, including over seas. We thoroughly enjoyed each other's company and the stops on the trip. David got us all to tell him a favorite song and he made up a playlist for the final leg of the trip.....what a great idea to let us see the preferences of fellow travelers! Highly recommended sightseeing trip.

Fun bus tour!

The best intro to our tour were Rich and Nick our guides! They were terrific ! We stop at Salt Lick for great BBQ and from there we stopped at 2 wineries. Our group of 7 turned into a party bus on our way back to Austin. One of the best tours I’ve taken.
