Two Days Tour to Meteora with Local Small Size Tours from Athens

Bus without air conditioning

We starts the trip from Athens train station in a very clean bus , comfortable without music or movies ; appropriate for sleeping or each one enjoy whatever they want in the trip . They were always on time . Our guides in Meteora Katherina ( sunset tour) add Evan ( walking tour ) were more than wonderfull . Very well prepared , kind and fun . We learned a lot from them . Great experience in Mereora thanks to them . The hell was coming back from Meteora to Athens in a bus without air conditioning in one of the warmest days in Greece hearing Greek music for 5 hours . Totally disrespectful for all turists treated very poorly by the bus company which I am not sure are directly managed by Visit Meteora but made all the experience very poor at the end .

We did a sunset tour of some monasteries day 1 and a morning tour of the rest of the monasteries day 2.

Meteora is an amazing experience and honestly Visit Meteora travel is the only people I would book with. Everything went smoothly and the tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Honestly one of our best experiences while in Greece! Thank you Visit Meteora!

Disappointing tour, require more organization and communication

We were disappointed with this tour. It lacked a lot of communication and information. We were not aware we would be left +4-5 hours on our own at the hotel, each day. The hotel was not close to the center and quite a walk. The itinerary was as such: Day 1 - we went to Larissa station for bus pickup. We were dropped at the hotel in Meteora around 12:00 and were told to be at the lobby at 4pm for the sunset tour. So we were basically left on our own for this duration. We were not aware of this prior to booking the tour. The sunset tour was okay, but I was slightly disappointed with the experience. The next day, we opted for the mini-tour bus. The pickup was at 8:30 and finished at 13:00. We were then left on our own until 17:30, for the bus pickup to go back to Athens. Having known all this and considering the tour cost, we would not have taken the 2 day tour. However, Meteora is beautiful and a must visit, but this tour was not worth the price paid.

Amazing view

What an amazing place to visit. Dimitris gave us an amazing private sunset tour and Tolis and George did a wonderful job with the site seeing tour on the second day. Some of the monasteries have a lot of stairs to get to them so be prepared. Also make sure to have a plan during down time on the second day. We visited the natural history museum and had a lovely lunch in town.

100% Must-see

Meterora site is magnificent regardless of a tour agency you choose, BUT! This specific tour and the travel agency was worth every dollar it cost. Arrangement in terms of time scheduling was perfect, for example on the 2nd day we arrived at Grand Meteora Monastery right at the time it opened, thus we avoided a huge crowd of tourists arrived just in 15-20 mins past us. The same applies to other sights visited. Coordination between travel agency staff was perfect as well. Once you book a tour they send you a detail and very clear itinerary with timing and locations for each specific step. I didn't need to contact anyone not a single time, neither I had any question of where and when to be. 3* Hotel accommodation was great, even better then I expected. For the second day activity I chose mini-bus tour, it slightly coincide with previous day sunset tour, but still super interesting as gives you a chance to visit Monasteries.

Exploring a truly holy place

The sunset tour was as perfect as could be with Katalina. It rained during the next morning’s tour but we still had a fabulous time!

A trip that is well worth it

We had a great time. The sunset trip was spetacular. In fact, stops before the last one (viewing sun setting in the mountain) were even better. Great opportunities for taking amazing photos of the monastries bathing in the soft and golden sun light. The morning hiking trip was also amazing. We saw many beautiful scenes, some are hidden gems. We had two different guides. Both were friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke perfect English. Strongly recommended!

Great 2days tour in amazing Meteora

We had sunset tour and a hiking one. Both were amazing, and both guides were perfect, pleasant, highly engaging and educated. Smooth organization and flow. We took 3stars option hotel and it was more than enough for a night, clean, comfy beds and great sleep. Highly recommended!

Incredible views and guides

The Sunset and Hiking tours were absolutely worth it! Very educational and with the most incredible sights. Visit Meteora really goes out of their way to make sure its guests enjoy their time in Meteora. Our tour guides, Katerina and Evan, were incredibly knowledgeable about the history, flora, and fauna of Meteora. They encouraged us to take as many pictures as we wanted and often took us to the best possible viewpoints/monasteries. Overall, a wonderful experience that is unique to mainland Greece!

Great experience

Amazing views and excellent, knowledgable and friedly guides. I did the sunset tour one afternoon/evening and a hiking tour the next morning. Very different tours where we saw very different views and visited different monasteries. Well worth it.

Highlight of my Greece & Italy trip

Would strongly recommend two days in Meteora so you can do the hiking tour on the second day morning. The hiking tour at Meteora was absolutely the highlight of my twenty days trip in Greece and Italy. Chris was very professional with great local knowledge and insight! Being able to spend a whole hour at Varlaam in the morning before the tourist buses arrive was abolutely amazing. So serene!! Thanks Chris! Was great to meet you. :)

Two beautiful days in Meteor

The only downside of this tour was that due to the devastating floods, it was a bus tour. And it's a long drive from Athens. Other than that, everything was perfect. We opted for the Sunset Tour and the Hiking Tour. Our guides were wonderful, and the logistics were well organized. I especially liked the fact that the hiking tour involved real hiking, with some elevation gain that got us to the top of several towers for great views. We had time to explore Kalambaka on our own, rather than having every hour of the day scheduled. I always consider my first trip to a place to be a reconnaissance mission. After visiting Meteora, I know I'll be back. And the next time, I'll bring my climbing gear!

Unique rock formations, cliff-side monasteries, and spectacular hiking

This tour was spectacular! Even though we had to take the bus from Athens instead of the train (no Tran service due to the devastating floods that occurred a few months ago) there was still plenty of time to explore. I loved learning about the history and geology of the area and viewing all the monasteries. My favorite part of the trip was the hike we took on the second day with our guide, Chris. I loved seeing all the rock formations up close and Chris had so much knowledge about the area and the landscape. I highly recommend this tour to future visitors!

Perfect 2 days experience of Meteora from Athens

We booked initially for the train journey (which I had looked forward to) but due to train track issues, the company organized a bus instead. I was worried cause sometimes I get car sick on long journeys but the bus trip turned out to be very smooth and pleasant! We booked the package with 3* hotel, sunset tour, and hiking tour. The hotel was ok, with a highlight of balcony view towards Meteora. Our sunset tour guide, Katarina, was amazing. She’s a local and very passionate in telling us stories about the region and herself. Especially love her story with the hermit monk! <3. The hiking tour is equally amazing too. Our guide Kristus is also very passionate with nature and happy to point us the unique things about the hike. And of course the hike view is breathtaking! A little note, it’s not a difficult hike but do wear good shoes and bring appropriate clothing just in case. Everything is also very well organized so we can just relax and enjoy Meteora!

Escape the city for natural and manmade astonishment!

Excellent communication from company. No problems with transportation. Friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating tour guides were excellent. The two day trip gave us time to enjoy the local town and see meteora from the road and trail. Definitely recommend staying at least a night! The rail is down, which required a bus ride instead of the train - but it wasn't a problem and it was totally worth the journey.

Everything was fine. Very friendly stuff. Only one minus, was that the sunset tour guide was very knowledgeable, though was difficult sometimes to understand his pronunciation….🤪

Just what we were looking for

We looked at other tour options and this 2 day tour to Meteora was exactly what we were looking for. I'd rate it a 4.5 stars if the option was available only due to some minor communication breakdown with the tour operator, but nothing that was overly stressful. First, the transportation method was changed from train to bus 2 days before the tour due to heavy rains and flooding that prevented the train from going from Athens to Meteora. The tour operator notified us in advance and gave us the option to back out of our commitment at no charge and we appreciated that. The bus still departed from the train station so it did not screwup our lodging plans that were made in close proximity to the train station. We did not receive any correspondence on when the tour actually began on day 1 and day 2, but others on the tour had the info so we didn't miss anything. The guides on day 1 and 2 were very good. Note that if you hike on day 2, be sure to wear very thick soled shoes as the trail is rocky. Day 1 tour by minibus had lots of stops so plenty of opportunity for great pictures. Same on Day 2. Meteora is a cool little town. We would have liked to stay a third day, so if you're looking for a place to kick back and relax, I'd highly recommend it.

There is no better service in the tourism industry than this company. PERIOD.

Hiring this company was the best thing we could have done. Originally scheduled to take the train from Athens for a two night stay, our trip happened during the 'phenomenon' as the Greek called it, of a flood. The trains were stopped, but George figured out a way to get us to Meteora. He sent a private driver/guide, Evan, who was unbelievable. He was safe, friendly and well-versed. He lives in the area and knew all of the back roads. When we hit a road closure at the half-way point, the company found an ocean-front villa for six of us. We thought we were on an episode of 'Lives of the Rich and Famous"! Evan brought in an authentic Greek meal of soulaki, Greek salad, bread and tzatziki. It was THE best meal of our entire two week trip. The owner of the villa provided some nice wine. The next morning, we were able to drive the rest of the way on various back roads. My friend and I did the sunset tour the first day and the hiking tour the second day. It was truly the highlight of our two week vacation! Out of this world experience that I will never forget. When it was time to go back to Athens, George drove us to Thessaloniki to fly back to Athens so we wouldn't have another long trip. He accompanied us to make sure all went as planned, and had a driver waiting to take us to our Athens hotel upon arrival. He lived up to his word of taking care of us. He is a GOOD man and his employees are GOOD people. I am telling everyone I know about this tour. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Really wanted to love this trip

Really wanted to love this trip. Tour guides were great with an impressive depth of knowledge. We had a rather large group both days with people of varying abilities. Guides were always aware of the slowest people and adjusted the pace accordingly. We booked the 3 star hotel based on previous comments. Unfortunately, you have no idea what you’ll get. Our hotel ended up being the Hotel Meteoritis. Hard beds, one flat pillow/person. Small room and bathroom. Hotel did have a good breakfast and was clean with good AC in the room. If I had it to do over again I would book the 4 star (my fault). Biggest gripe and the reason for 3 stars was the second day bus transport. Hike ends at Approx 1 pm. Bus back to Athens doesn’t leave until 6 PM. Approx. 5 hours of dead time that we had not expected, putting us back in Athens after 11 pm. This may be a result of the alternate transportation (train system is inop). To make matters worse, the back of the bus was hot. I’m ok with sweating when the AC doesn’t work. In this case, it did work but the driver didn’t think he needed to cool it off. After the second request to cool it off, he suggested I move to a different seat. Unfortunately, the bus is packed (no open seats). So I sit here sweating and writing reviews.

Amazing Experience

Beautiful experience! Still enjoyed quite a bit of walking and climbing steps without doing the 1/2 day hike. The driver was very experienced and the guides were very knowledgable. Loved our time with Jim and learning about Greek Orthodox history.

Highly recommend traveling to Meteora despite the train being inoperable due to flooding

I would highly recommend taking the trip with Visit Meteora. We just came back from the 2 day trip from Athens to Meteora. Due to the recent flooding the trains were cancelled and we had the option of taking the company rented tour bus. The comfortable air conditioned bus took about 5 hrs versus 4 hrs by train so it was about the same time wise. The bus stopped halfway for a restroom and snack break. In Kalabaka we transferred to a shuttle bus which dropped us off at the excellent Boutique Plakias Guest House. We had time for a late lunch before our 4 hr sunset tour. The sunset tour was beautiful and the guide was very informative explaining a lot of the local history and Monastery life. We visited one monastery and saw the others from scenic viewpoints. The guide was practically our personal photographer strategically taking shots with amazing backdrops. The next morning we opted for the 1/2 day hike which took us to a different monastery which was even more elaborate and stunning. The guide was super knowledgeable and interesting- he engaged everyone in our group. The 2 day Meteora trip was definitely an amazing trip and was worth it. Tip: bring cash for entrance to the monasteries and to tip the guides/drivers. Long scarf for women entering the monastery.

Meteora is gorgeous!

We loved this trip and the beautiful Meteora area. The tour guide's knowledge was impressive on the sunset tour. The 5 hour tour was a little long for me, but it was nice to be driven around in an air conditioned van. My husband did the hiking tour the next morning, which was another 5 hours. Recommend paying for first class train tickets, we were bumped into second class on the way back to Athens and the air conditioning didn't work in our car for a while and our seats were next to the door that was malfunctioning (opening and closing constantly), so we were pretty uncomfortable. The boutique hotel was comfy and the staff were very kind. Viator could have provided clearer info about the tours, but overall we had a nice visit and were glad we did this trip.

Lovely views and amazing area

We loved the entire experience! It was very well organized with a shuttle to and from the motel and train station. We loved the Sunset Tour. It was very informative and we loved the views. My favorite part of the trip was the Hiking Tour. We loved hiking through the oak forest and seeing the native tortoises(!). It was great to get away from the crowds and even though it was a hot day there was plenty of shade along the trail. Our guide for the hiking tour (Evan?) was very knowledgeable about the area and very patient with the slower hiker in our group. I would highly recommend the two day rail tour!

Amazing

I loved Meteora and I loved my stay in Kalambaka. The pickups and dropoffs at the train stations were organized and I appreciated them immensely. The tours were wonderful! The guides (I had Vasily and Dimitrios) were so knowledgeable and friendly. And the views are simply incredible; I have seen many things but this was truly a unique experience. The local food was wonderful. The hotel was clean and the staff were lovely. I stayed an extra night to eat at the amazing local restaurants. Everything was very organized and I would definitely return to Kalambaka. It gets very hot in the summer though, so be prepared!

A Great Two Day Trip!

We loved our 2 day Meteora tour! Visit Meteora was great to work with, very responsive and all our travel plans were smooth! On day 2 we opted for the hike, which was led by Chris. He was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and plants and dropped interesting facts about the area, and the area's history during our 4+ hour hike. He was cognizant of everyone’s ability and tailored the hike, which was challenging and uniquely beautiful. If you find yourself in Greece or a neighboring country, do yourself a favor and get to Kalambaka and have Visit Meteora take care of showing you around the stunning scenery.

travelling with 13 yr old daughter. We love the 2 days rail tour to Meteora. The Meteora hotel is a 4 star lovely, cute hotel and has an amazing view of the rocks. I wish it’s closer to town but I guess you can’t get both view and close to everything. The sunset tour and the hike was amazing (friendly staff overall) esp Jim! he was wonderful, knowledgeable and funny, you can tell he loves his work! totally recommended Sunset Tour

Not enjoy at all

I booked this 2 days trips with 4 stars hotel and 1st class return train ticket. The four stars hotel is terrible, serving breakfast on some freestanding multi tier book shelves. Not on smooth or stainless steel surfaces. They provide hot plate but obviously all the food were in room temperature. Imagine the sausages bacons and eggs etc placed in room temperature? Bacteria grow most rapidly in the range of temperature between 40f and 140f. I felt so sick. Also the whole hotel atmosphere is strange, i over heard the supervisor/ manger / hotel owner shouted with her staff around 11:55 am for more than 5 mins . Until I walk downstairs. And she stoped shouting . The decorations of the hotel , not just my my but everywhere are so tacky. About the 2 tours, it is because I didn’t enjoy the first day tour ,so I didn’t join them on the second one. The tour guide was too talkative it is not necessary. For example under the suspended Monterey, we walked on hill and standing in front of a small area but no stunning view , just some old and suspended house on the rock. Imagine we all standing there for 20 mins and listened to his personal thoughts and some unnecessary history information. I will not forget, it was about to rain and many flies , mosquitoes all around us. Killing me. So I gave up the second tour because of him. I just want some quiet moment to enjoy the view but no luck.

Wonderful experience

This was a wonderful experience. The company did an excellent job of arranging train tickets, a hotel, transportation, and tours. The tour groups were small. The guides were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, & entertaining. I would highly recommend this company.

Guides were really good. I really enjoyed and was amazed by all the history of the place and how those mountains were created and how those monasteries were built by monks.

Best way to visit Meteora

Meteora is an extraordinary place - the sandstone pillars are an amazing site and the monasteries are fascinating. The Travel Company was wonderful. We tried to arrange our own trip, but the Greek rail system was recovering from the accident. The company arranged for train tickets, pick ups, a fine hotel and two great tours with a wonderful guide. I'd recommend doing both the afternoon sunset tour and the morning tour - we saw four Monasteries and amazing church and much more. We stayed in Kastraki, which is quiet but perfect.

Highlight of our trip to Greece!

Our two day tour to Kalambaka/Meteora was the highlight of our trip to Greece! The whole tour was very well organized (including train and hotel reservations); the sites and history incredible to experience; and the half-day hike was both extensive and beautiful. And the tour guides were amazing, very knowledgeable, and gave their all to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. We highly recommend the two-day stay at the very least, and we will most likely return in the future.

Excellent tours and guides - a must do!

The sunset tour was excellent and our guide was fabulous. Absolutely spectacular views and expert knowledge. We stayed the night and went on a half day tour the next morning and it was also great tour, going into the monasteries and taking in the views again magnificent. I would say however, the only thing that would of made it better for us would be some communication from the organisers which was lacking, we weren’t told pick up times to railway and our accommodation was out of the town.

2 Days Is A Must!

Day 1 included a comfortable and amazing driven tour with many picturesque stops along the way, including a walkthrough of 2 monasteries. Tour guide was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and was extremely helpful with auxiliary needs like taking photos. Day 2 we were given the option of a drive to different areas or a hike. We chose the hike and really felt this gave us a more intimate exposure of Meteora. Again, our tour guide was knowledgeable about the history and geography. We toured another monastery along with hidden areas only a hike could provide. It was safe, comfortable, and fulfilling. We are in our 30s, but a group of 4 in their 70s accompanied us with no issue. 100% recommend the 2 day experience. Also, tour guides restaurant recommendations were spot on.

Highlight of our Greece Vacation!

My husband and two sisters and I absolutely loved this tour! First of all, we took the metro from our apartment to the train station. We got on at the Ambelokipi station and it took 30 minutes to get from that station to Larissa. When you exit the Larissa metro stop (going up the stairs to the street), the train station is just right there! It was so convenient. We paid extra for first class on the train from Athens and it was so worth it. The private car for our party was so relaxing (the seats recline so much!) and comfortable. Since the train ride was scheduled for a little over four hours originally but then we had a delay of at least a half hour, it would have been uncomfortable to be seated in regular seats for 5 hours. We had time before the sunset tour to drop our things off at the Kalastraki hotel (so beautiful, comfortable, and just WONDERFUL) and walk two or three minutes down the street to a wonderful taverna for lunch. Unfortunately, as the sunset tour began, the clouds rolled in and the rain came down. Fortunately, our tour guide Chris kept everyone in good spirits and shared so much knowledge about the area’s history (he was great) that we were still happy to be on the tour. Then, like a miracle, just as we were getting ready to go to the great sunset rock viewpoint for pictures, the sun came through the clouds and it was GORGEOUS. We were SO happy. By the time we got back to our hotel it was 8:30pm and we walked back to our lunch taverna and had a marvelous dinner. We slept well in the Kalastraki (comfortable beds, clean, and so quiet). The breakfast the next morning was out of this world. So many options and everything we tried was delicious. We had chosen the half day tour so a different guide picked us up and took us to different monasteries. Since this tour was more about us walking around in the monasteries and mess about the bus ride/guide’s tour, it felt different than the tour the night before (as in, we didn’t felt like we just did the same trip twice). It was great! We had plenty of sun for this day’s tour. The monasteries did have skirts that could be purchased if women did not wear modest clothing but we knew ahead of time and had taken skirts to put on over our pants/shorts. Also, I only remember one toilet stop each day on the tours and they were both squatties. These tours were amazing and we loved them so much. We highly recommend them!

Stunning scenery-a must from Athens if you have the time .

We liked that the train , hotel and tours were all arranged for us. The guides were very knowledgeable and the tours went at a good pace . We loved the hiking tour with Chris getting away from crowds and the hiking was beautiful . Would definitely recommend this tour .

Wonderful trip and experience

I booked two days train tour from Athen through “Visit Meteora Travel”. Trip was well organized and I was fully informed throughout the trip, all activities matched the descriptions, it’s all good and no surprises. Meteora truly is an amazing and beautiful, a must see places. Package Included two half days tours, both tour guide Jim & Katrina (?) plus the most friendly driver Konstantin are top-notch, they’re all friendly, knowledge and tentative. Beautiful adventure

We had a great trip. Train was comfortable. We upgraded our hotel and had a beautiful view. The Grand Meteora was wonderful. Our tours were great, we enjoyed Our guide Jim who was a wealth of knowledge. Meteora is something you must see to believe.

Amazing!

All transportation was efficient and timely. The Boutique Holy Spirit was excellent. The hotel manager was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. He went above and beyond. The sunset tour was wonderful even though the weather was rainy and cloudy. The drivers and guides were knowledgeable and friendly. It as an amazing experience and well worth the trip.

Excellent Tours of Meteora

We did the two day rail tour from Athens organised through Key Tours in Athens. Meteora Travel provided the local tours in Kalambaka. We did both the sunset tour and the morning tour. The two tours are mutually exclusive and there is very little duplication. The local guides Jim and Chris were outstanding both in terms of their knowledge, their explanations as well as their flexibility in terms of when we visited the monasteries or viewing points. Their local knowledge was clearly a great asset. Both tours included very nice walks through the forest. The evening tour included the bonus of a visit to the Church of Dormition on the edge of town where Jim was able to give a lot of relevant contextual information too. The comfortable minibus provided on both tours was excellently and safely driven. Thank you

Good value. Hits all the highlights.

Great views. Liked that we went to four different monasteries - that's enough. Multiple photo stops, nice guides and drivers. Well-organized and on time. Hotel basic but clean with friendly staff. Manageable group size.

Excellent option to visit Meteora

We faced the train strike in Athens, but the operator managed to organise a bus in no time. Excellent service. Friendly and helpful team. The bus was very comfortable, with professional drivers. I took a 4 star hotel and the room and breakfast were very good. The guides explaining during the sunset and morning tour were excellent. This is a very recommendable tour, I would do it again with no doubt.

Very good tour to Meteora

We enjoyed this tour very much. The drivers were professional and helpful. The hotel, their staff and the breakfast was very nice. The guides, Chris and Chris, were both excellent, very informed on the history, and we appreciated that the groups on the tours were small. We could stop the van for photo shots as often as we liked. The hike was spectacular and not difficult; Chris was so well informed on all the flora and fauna and birds, he is obviously very 'at home' in that landscape. After our five-hour sight-seeing or hiking on day 2, it would have been nice to find a place to eat but, perhaps because we were there in March, few places seemed to be open until late afternoon. We did manage to find something to eat before the van picked us up for our trip back to Athens. We would recommend this tour as the way to explore this amazing place.

Beautiful Meteora

We received our train tickets by e-mail. Took a quiete and breathtaking view train for 4 hours. Then our guide was there. He brought us to our beautiful hotel. After we went for a discovery trip to meteora. Very knowledgeable guide. Back at our hotel for dinner. Next day pick up after lunch for another great day. Back for evening train to Athens. Wow I highly recommend you pay the little extra to get this trip with a guide.

The perfect way to explore this hidden gem outside Athens

The perfect way to explore this hidden gem just 4 hours by train from Athens! Both Maria and Jim were excellent tour guides, giving their own views on the rich history of Kalambaka. One note: there is only one train returning to Athens (leaving after 6pm - arriving after 11pm) so don't make the mistake we did and book an early morning flight (we had to leave our hotel at 4:30am)!

Wonderful experience at Meteora

The tour consists of to and fro train tickets, 1 night hotel stay, mini bus transport and 2 tours, 1 sunset tour on the first day and 1 morning tour on the second day. The weather was superb on the first day and we managed to see the landscape and the magnificent sunset. It was foggy on the second day morning but we still enjoyed visiting the monasteries and the fog did cleared for a little while and we took the opportunity to take photos. We visited 1 monastery on the first day and 3 monasteries on the second day. Our guide Chris from Vist Meteora was professional and friendly. He shared many interesting facts about Meteora and was very informative. He also knew all the good photo spots well and gave us enough time to take photos and explore the monasteries. The 3 star hotel in the package was Hotel Kaikis, it was a simple hotel but very clean and tidy. The breakfast at the hotel has quite a variety too. Transport wise, the train was ok and the mini bus transport was very comfortable. There is even wifi on the mini bus. Overall, we enjoyed the trip very much. Thank you Visit Meteora!

Meteora and Delphi from Athens

Please note: this review was for our trip that was 2 day Meteora and Delphi from Athens by rail Fantastic tour, great way to see the sites of Meteora and Delphi. EXCELLENT guide for Meteora but sadly the Delphi portion would have been better with a guide and definitely more time. In hindsight would have chosen a 2 night 3 day tour to appreciate Delphi more completely since we’re history buffs. The 3 star hotel was perfectly adequate, good breakfast. No issues with any of the transportation. The only reason we rated 4 out of 5 was we felt strongly the Delphi portion needed more structure and more time.

Great way to see Meteora

My wife and I had a great time on this tour. The guides were well informed, and answered all our question. We especially liked seeing and having the frescos in the churches and monasteries explained. The trip was very well organized. We were met at the train station in Kalambaka and taken to our hotel were we were able to check in before the sunset tour (and change clothes for admission to the Monasteries). The sunset tour was beautiful and informative. Then we were taken back to our hotel for dinner on our own. The following morning we checked out and were picked up with our luggage for the half day tour. When it was over we were taken back to the office to drop our luggage so we could explore Kalambaka on our own., Then we went back to their office, picked up our luggage and given a ride back to the train station. It was a great and carefree experience.
