Greece Trip!

George was outstanding! We could not have asked for a better time while visiting Greece. George coordinated everything perfectly from start to finish and treated us like family. I cannot say enough about his hospitality. 100% five stares and would give more if I could. Thank you George!!!!

I don’t ever want to visit Greece without George!!

We did two separate excursions with George. Our group had a variety of needs and George met and exceeded them all. We had an experienced diver, a few snorkelers and a few that needed additional assistance and George was knowledgeable and prepared for it all. The boat and equipment were well maintained, he took us to secluded and beautiful locations that fit all of our needs and always had our safety in mind. The second day with George took us to cities that were highly recommended by him and other we spoke to and definitely would not have been on any other tour website. He was funny, engaging and full of information. It is very evident that he not only loves his country but also loves his job. I’m already working on plans to return with my daughter and will absolutely be booking him again.

First time snorkeling with excited girls.

Great experience. Everything was done safely with our small girls. They had a blast. They took us out to a secluded cove that was protected by the waves and had a small beach. They even brought a SUP to play with. Then we went to the temple of Poseidon which had magnificent views. George and skipper George took very good care of us.

Amazing Experience

The private cruise was an amazing experience. In the e-mail exchange before the event George was very helpful and gave me great tips and suggestions. On the day of the cruise, everything ran perfectly. The cruise was well-structured and engaging. George and his skipper took us to different interesting places, were we could swim and snorkel. Throughout the event, the crew was highly customer-oriented. They always made it clear that us having a great experience was their highest priority because they always asked our input for what we want and were available to answer questions and provide assistance. George and his skipper were very professional, easygoing and likable. If you want to take a private cruise that is highly customized to your wishes and liking I would highly recommend the provider “Athens by boat”.

Worth it

I have another review under "Extreme Divers". George, Evan and Amelia were *terrific*. Easy to work with, fast replies to emails, details of the trip are worked out in advance (with great clarity) and fun. George is a terrific guide - full of information and patience. You'll find the organization is honest, reasonably priced and worth your time and money. Please give this event serious consideration - you can't go wrong. NOTE: They adhere to strict COVID safety guidelines. We even got a Rapid Test the morning of the event in accordance with local / state guidelines.

Highlight of our Trip to Athens

My family of 4 (two teenagers) spent the day snorkeling with George and his crew on our way to the Sounio Cape. George was AMAZING and very knowledgeable. He and his crew are completely trustworthy. We were able to tailor our trip to meet our needs and requests. At the end of the day, George dropped us off at a recommended restaurant with the best views of Athens, and the food did not disappoint. By the end of the day, we had made a new friend, and we will definitely book this trip again with George and his family run business when we return to Athens. I highly recommend this tour! Thank you George for showing us an amazing time!!

Great activity!!!

We took the private tour with a group of 8 friends and it was very well organised. We were picked up at our hotel in the center of Athens. There was a lot of swimming and snorkling during the tour and the two guides took all the time for us. I would definitely recommend to do this trip.

Amazing Day, Loved every minute!!!

My 2 young adult children and I had an amazing day at sea. We had a windy day and I was a little worried if that would interfere with our day, but George took excellent care of us. He knew all the places to visit on a windy day to ensure our safety and comfort. He picked us up at our hotel, had plenty of water and yummy pastries and fruit for us. We ended up driving to Poseidon’s Temple to explore the ruins due to the wind, so we could maximize our snorkeling time. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Greece. He speaks excellent English. George recommended a great local restaurant basically unknown to tourists, and due to them not offering an English menu he came up with us, made recommendations, showed us the freshest best fish to order and helped us order. We had an amazing meal looking over the city of Athens. We would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience

This experience was so worth it. We were a group of 7 and had a great time. George was so friendly and knowledgeable. They truly make the day about what you want. We felt safe the whole time and had a blast. Definitely recommend for people that want a private day on the ocean away from the crowds.

Beautiful day on the water!

We booked this tour on our first full day in Greece, and it was the perfect way to settle into our vacation! George met our group, which included five children ages 4-15, at the hotel. He made it very clear from the start that it was our day, and activities could be tailored to our preferences. The group opted for more swimming and snorkeling time, so we spent the day anchored at various locations doing just that. George was the perfect guide. He was warm and informative, and open to answering questions about our surroundings and about his country. He even got in the water with an underwater camera to shoot pictures and video of the kids, which he emailed to us later. It was easy to see that he loves spending his days on the water! It was also obvious during our time together that safety was George's primary concern, and both he and the skipper were always aware of the wind and (on a few occasions) the distant sound of thunder. After a delicious late afternoon snack of fruit and pastries, we docked the boat and took a scenic drive down the coast to the cape, to visit the temple at sunset. The kids really enjoyed this part of the trip as well. The day was definitely one of our most memorable of the entire trip. It was fun and informative and relaxing, but above all, we really felt that we lived and experienced the best of what Greece has to offer. Would highly recommend!

This was a GREAT cruise!! George...

<p>This was a GREAT cruise!! George was such a fantastic host. He was warm and friendly, prompt and full of information on our drive to the RIB cruise. George brought his little son with him which was fantastic as I was a mom travelling with her 2 sons 19 and 12. The language barrier didn't matter as the kids all played and jumped hundreds of times from the boat. Beautiful stops to swim, snorkel and to have fun. George made it very clear that the boat was ours and we got to call the shots of where to go and when to go. He also brought along a wonderful melon we all shared. After a couple of hours, we were ready to head back and do the Poseidon Temple which we chose to do by car. Beautiful. George also recommended a restaurant and dropped us there for dinner. They had us a wonderful table with fantastic food even though we looked exactly like we were swimming all day and coming off a boat. All in all, the tour, George and everything about this day trip was super special. We as a family enjoy a little privacy and not having to make memories with hordes of tourists. This is exactly what we wanted and how we wanted to spend the day. Some final thoughts, the skipper was professional and safe George's driving was safe. Eat a heavy lunch before as you will only be snacking during the boat tour or bring snacks. Bring a change of clothes as the tour is like 6-7 hours and if you take George up on his recommendation for dinner you won't be sorry! Book this trip and know you are guaranteed a great day in the Aegean Sea. Thanks George!</p>

What a great day, don't want to miss this tour!!!

We were a group of 8, our first trip to Greece with our adult children. You couldn't have asked for a better tour or guides, Evan and George were wonderful!!! Evan picked us up on time in an air condition van, spoke excellent English, he had everything well planned. It was the first time snorkeling for some of us and they made it effortless, so glad we tried. The water was amazing..We ended the day at the Poseidon Temple which was also a don't miss. Evan's and George's personality made this trip. Gave us so much insight of their country and way of life, treated us like family. Wanted to take a countryside tour with them but ran out of time. I know this, if we ever get the opportunity to visit Greece again, I know who we will tour with. Thank you for a lifetime memory.

Awesome day at the sea

We were two families with kids 10-13 yo. We had an amazing day with these guys! George is a wonderful host. We got picked up at our Airbnb and taken to the boat (an hour drive) during which George was super chatty and interesting. Then we were given two options: go snorkeling, come back, drive to Poseidon temple and see the sunset there OR go to Poseidon temple first with the boat, climb the mountain by foot, then go snorkeling and see the sunset from the boat. We chose the first because it was better for the kids. It was amazing to snorkel and see fish and sea animals. George had pastries, fruits, and water on the ship (though I think he underestimated the appetite our growing boys have!). After our visit to Poseidon temple George recommended a local seafood restaurant with an amazing view of Athens. We needed dinner and that seemed like a great option. We arrived there at 10pm and even tho the kids were exhausted we had a wonderful meal. George took us back to the Airbnb after dinner. We arrived at 1am. It was an unforgettable day. Highly recommended!

Whatever you do, DON’T pass this up!

We were four friends traveling to Athens and to Paros this month and we contacted George several months in advance because of his fantastic reviews on TripAdvisor. He was So helpful in making sure we stayed in a quiet area of Athens to relax after our time in the city,helped to choose the island we traveled to, (Paros) made sure we stayed on the ideal part of the island, and he arranged our ferry! That was before we even arrived! When we did arrive we were met by George and his son who presented us each with a rose. We had our first Greek culinary experience at a restaurant he chose for its local appeal, and started a trip-long love affair with Greek food. What I know is this, thanks to my experience with George, Athens is a real, living place for me. The fresh air out of the mountains. The Aegean with schools of fish falling like leaves through impossibly clear water and Poseidon sea grass waving, it lives inside me now. The sun setting at the Temple of Poseidon after a day in the sea will remain one of my best experiences, but it’s hard to choose just one day as every day he arranged was perfect, we trusted him to guide us and reaped the benefits! Are you reading this because you want to Experience Greece? If you are, like I was, see Greece with George, see the Aegean with Nikos as your skipper. You will remember the experience long after the souvenirs have faded. As an American from a young country, seeing Athens, the birthplace of civilization as we know it was incredible. Seeing it (and Nafplio, the Corinth Canal and Mycenae!) while just talking to George about it, not reeling facts like a tour guide but conversation with an interesting friend with a joy for life and a wicked guitar. On the water or on land there is no way to experience a city like you can here with them. Our dinner overlooking Athens with fish and shrimp speared that morning, our walking tour of Athens that gave me a feel for the city I know I could have gotten nowhere else, the taste of fresh picked apricots, the neighborhood farmers market. None of that would have been possible without a passionate interested guide who can show you the Greece of the Greeks, not the guidebook. I can tell you everything we did, but that isn’t the point. The conversation, the Overall experience, being with a local and having the local experience, That is the point, and if that is how you wish to see the places you visit, this is the place for you. Don’t pass up this opportunity!! I’m still thinking about many of the things we talked about as we traveled and I’m sure I will for years to come. Thank you George, Nikos, Evan and of Course Panayotis for an unforgettable first experience of Greece, it will certainly not be the last.

Fantastic boat trip, good mix of sites, swimming, snorkelling and boat ride

We’re a family of 5 kids aged 15, 13 and 10. We had a great day. Pick up from hotel, 40 minute in air conditioned van, George told us a lot about the area. Then on to the boat and 25 minute trip to temple. Great fun in the rib across the bay. 15 minute walk to temple. Great views. Back on boat across bay. Snorkelling in cave, then on to a remote beach for more snorkelling. Savoury and sweet pastries and lots of fruit and water on the boat. We had a really great time. Thanks George. You were a great host.

<p>We had such a great time with George and Nikos! We snorkeles in an amazing cavern and sailed to interesting rock beaches. We all had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the trip. They were very accommodating and friendly. It was the favorite activity for most in our group for our week in Athens!</p>

<p>On the day we took this tour, Athens had record breaking heat: High hovering around 115 degrees F. Despite the brutal heat, our driver picked us up on time. The van air conditioning worked great. We were escorted to the office where paper work was completed and were were briefed on our excursion. Also, necessary gear for snorkeling was provided. We then traveled to the place where we would board our boat. Evan accompanied us on this drive, telling us lots of interesting things about sites we saw along the way. We then boarded the boat, where Nicholas was waiting for us. After the boat was loaded with gear and refreshments, we took an amazing tour on the water. Thankfully, it was much cooler on the water! Both Evan and Nicolaus were great tour guides, showing many interesting sites and sharing a bit of history about the areas we visited. We stopped as many times as we wanted to swim and snorkel. We had great refreshments when we wanted. One of our stops included a snorkel into a cavern. Evan accompanied us and pointed out interesting things in the cavern. This was a wonderful way to spend a hot afternoon. The boat was well equipped and had plenty of shade. We saw lots of interesting things from a different perspective-a view of the coast and the Poseidon Temple from the water. Evan and Nicolaus went out of their way to make sure we all had a great time. And we did! After disembarking the boat, Evan drove us the the Temple of Poseidon. The sun was setting and the views were magnificent. Evan welcomed us to take as much time as we wanted there, before getting back into our van and the drive back to Athens. This tour was a highlight of our trip. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a taste of Greece from the perspective of the Mediterranean Sea. Both Evan and Nicolaus are certified dive instructors. We always felt very safe, both on the boat and in the water. Be prepared: It is quite a distance from the Temple of Poseidon to Athens City Center. But it is well worth the extra driving time.</p>

The cruise was fast and smooth, and everything was timed perfectly. This was most certainly the best experience of our trip to Greece. <p>I was traveling with a group of 6 friends and this was the highlight of our trip. George and Nick are the best guides I've ever come across. They go above and beyond to make sure you're having a good time and genuinely care that you do. Everything was as described. The snacks, fruits and bakery items, were absolutely delicious. The rib boat was comfortable and quick in getting us from location to location. We were able to go to four different spots to snorkel and swim, all were fantastic. The entire time, George and Nick treated the group like we were friends and made us feel so at home. At the end, we also wanted to have time to eat a meal and George recommended and joined us at a fantastic restaurant right below the cliff with the Temple of Poseidon. It was a perfect day. I am really eager to go back to Athens and spend another day on the water with George and Nick.</p>

Outstanding Vacation Day/ Birthday

Georg hat einen ausergewoehnlichen Job geacht. Er war immer hilfsbereit, super flexible und sehr gut vorbereitet. Georg hat sich ganz unseren Wuenschen angepasst. Wir haben auf dem Weg zum Poseidon Temple mehrere Stops zum Schnorcheln gemacht. Das Wasser war angenehm warm (Oktober Zeit) und sehr klar. Der Poseidon Temple war auch sehr interessant. Georg konnte uns viel ueber die Geschichte und die Kultur erzaehlen. Ich kann die Poseidon Tour jedem herzlich weiter empfehlen. Am Ende des Tages hat uns Georg noch zu einem sehr schoenen Restaurant gefahren. Es war ein unglaublicher Tag :) Birthday cake hatte Georg fuer mich auch organisiert gehabt. DANKESCHOEN.
