The history about the area and the food we tried was wonderful. Alexandra made the experience very enjoyable.

Fantabulous food tour.

A great kick off to our Greece trip . Our guide Katherine took us on a gastro expedition around the tourist area. Plenty of food and she kept us entertained the entire trip. Her knowledge of the food and culture was great. The stroll through the fish and meat market was a plus and unique experience. I highly recommend it to get the flavor of local cuisine.

Perfect afternoon with the locals

Alexandria was an amazing tour guide. She was so sweet and told us personal stories of what the food meant to her growing up. The restaurant were a great mix of sweet and savory bites. The taverns we stopped at allowed us to try so many local bites that we don’t even have room left for our gyros!

Real Greek food experience!

Yum!!!

We absolutely loved this tour of food. We got to escape the heat of outside - a little - with every stop. Our tour guide walked us through different restaurants and we sampled A LOT! We walked through fish, meat, and fruit markets. Our guide was soooo knowledgeable, he knew how many generations owned the restaurant previously.

Fun and informative tour showing where the locals shop

A fun way to taste a lot of really yummy food and to visit the places that the locals shop. Delicious pastries, coffee, souvlaki etc - don’t have breakfast or other meal before you go. Dorella, our guide, was very knowledgeable and a lovely young lady too.

Absolutely wonderful! Nicolletta was the most amazing guide. She took us to fantastic places with the most wonderful food. She gave just the right amount of information and with a wonderful sense of humour. Our group were great people, such fun and we laughed so much. Highly recommended. We certainly did not need dinner. It was a wonderful finish to our Athens trip. Go Nicolette - we will always ‘flirty flirty’ across the road from now on! You are a special lady!

Fun & Delicious Discovery Tour

We had a great time with Argiro. She had lots of knowledge of the food, history, and the city. We enjoyed every one of the six stops. Every restaurant was friendly and a great host. Love it!!

Delicious food tour in Athens

Adele really made sure to share the history of the food at each of the stops and was very attentive to each of the tour guests. She was funny, charming and very knowledgeable and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend!!

Be very HUNGRY!!

What an amazing experience and Nasos our tour Guide was the best. They say no food 3 hours prior… I would say 6 hours….. you eat so much. Tour was super fun went with 14, 21 and 22 young adults and they loved it!!! Again you have to be up to try all …. It’s a Spartan experience!!! Esfaristo Athens🇬🇷🩷

Amazing!

We really love using food tours as a way to learn more about the local culture in a city! Annabella, our tour guide, was an amazing host as she showed us the amazing food and city of Athens. She was knowledgeable and attentive to our extended family’s needs. She made the trip enjoyable for all ages (13 through 60)I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic Tour

We had so much fun on the Athens Food Walking Tour. Our tour guide was Adele, and she did a great job explaining Greek food and traditions. Show up hungry, because you will receive a lot of food on the tour.

Do not miss this!

This was the best food tour we have ever done! Nassos our guide shared his knowledge of Greek foods, culture, and the region. We went to places and ate food we would have never ventured to try on our own. The selected location were family owned, hand crafted, fresh, and delicious! So glad we experienced this walking tour and we left so very full!

Fantastic Food Walking Tour

The Greek Food Walking Tour by Dimitria was hands down the best tour we’ve done on any of our foreign vacations. She took us to a wide variety of local shops, cafes, and food vendors, including olive oil and vinegar tasting, a tavern where we shared tapas and Greek beer (optional of course) and ending at a local dessert place. Come very, very hungry!!

We loved the walking food tour and recommend it. It has the right balance of walking and sitting to eat. The guide has it all organized.

Helpful

We enjoyed Adele and her knowledge of the city. She helped us to know what foods are local which is really helpful when thinking about what to order at restaurants. The food we had was good but it’s hard to remember all of the places we stopped at.

Nasis was amazing. Fun and insightful. The restaurants were all family owned and great food. I did the private tour with our 17 and 20 year old and they also loved it.

Amazing food and cultural adventure

Our guide, Ana, was amazing. She explained everything about the unique and delicious food that we tasted. She also provided informative facts regarding the history of Athens as we walked thru each of the neighborhoods. Plenty of great food that we would have never tasted on our own. Highly recommend this tour and especially this guide.

Great Greek food walking tour

We had our Greek food walking tour with Nikos Charalambpopolus on the day we arrived. Ge made us feel so welcome and took us to the greatest spots. He provided history commentary as well while we walked. We had stops for olive oil tasting. Greek coffee, traditional foods and sweets. We ate and at the end, we felt we had sampled so many Greek favorites. Dint miss this tour with Nikos.

Experiencing foods and places that we would not have experienced had we not taken the tour with Dimitra. She gave us so much interesting information about the city areas.

Good tour for food & culture!

Delicious food, including special dishes we would not have known of otherwise. Was nice to have some history of the city and culture along the way. Nice tour of Psyri and central Athens market area. So much food to eat, and drinks too! Go hungry!

My husband and I booked a private food tour. Sylvia was an awesome tour guide! She has a beautiful Greek name that translates to silver. So to keep it simple for us Americans we were able to call her Sylvia. She took time with us and knows all about the area and the best of what Athens has to offer. She is super friendly and we never felt rushed at all. It was great getting to know her and what her life is like as a local. The tour was amazing! We endulged for almost 4 hours (10am-13:30). After our tour concluded I felt comfortable navigating the streets solo knowing where I am. We highly recommend adding this to your trip itinerary! Everything was so delicious & they cater to any dietary needs.

Great way to see local lifestyle and try many different foods. Guide was great, fun to talk with, and lets the group try many different tastes from local restaurants.

Amazing food tour in Athens!

We just recently took a trip to Greece with Athens being one of our stops. While there we went on the food tour and had such an amazing time. Nicoletta was our wonderful tour guide. She took us to the most amazing places to try lots of different foods of Greece, so definitely come hungry and she had lots of great stories to share. This was one of the best tours we have ever taken. Highly recommend if you find yourself in Athens!

Do it. It’s phenomenal. Worth every penny!

Our ENTIRE tour was so enjoyable, largely due to our exceptional guide, Maria. She was knowledgable, personable, and genuinely wanted us to love & appreciate the greek culture. (Mission accomplished, Maria). Not only did we eat AMAZING food (every greek dish your heart could desire), but we also got acquainted with Athens, & learned some history along the way. We especially loved going to many of the local markets (for meat, fruit, cheese, etc.) that we never would’ve found on our own. We can’t speak highly enough about this experience.

Adele is an excellent guide,the food was great, love the wine tasting, only recommendation is do the Donuts and coffee at the end saved for last after the food.

Wonderful first tour in Athens!

Nicoletta was amazing! She had so many stories and facts - took us the “the best “ all around Athens. Do not eat before you go! The food was never ending and portion size big! We highly recommend this tour and guide!
