Lovely Athens!

We had just a short time to spend in Athens, but our guide packed it all in for us! We got to see everything that we wanted to see. We even squeezed in a delicious lunch at a sidewalk cafe. He shared history with us along the way and also gifted us with a book about Greece. Highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic quick view of all of the wonderful historical sites in Athens. Our guide even directed us to a sidewalk cafe where we had a delicious meal. Best tour guide!!!

We actually used this company for not 1 but 2 tours! They were also our transportation from the airport and to our cruise ship. I can’t recommend them enough. Very professional and communication through out was amazing. Our guide Jon was right on time and took us to see everything we wanted and recommended a fabulous restaurant for lunch. What an incredible tour. It is hands down a must do. Not only do you get to see the best in Athens you learn something along the way. Rene our guide was extremely knowledgeable and a very articulate. The history she knows will blow your minds. John the drive is a maestro behind the wheel, he got into all the best places and really limited the walking. Our party of 7 loved the entire day. If you book one tour while in Athens this is one to do.

Wonderful private tour of Athens!

This tour was an excellent way to see the sites of Athens in one day. Our licensed tour guide Helen was great! She was so knowledgeable about Athens and its history. Very experienced guide, as she knew exactly how to keep our group on time to see several sights without feeling rushed. Her ‘notebook’ was very helpful in offering visuals which added to the presentation. In addition, H.P. Tours always responded to my inquiries quickly and clearly, and pre-purchased our entry tickets to save us time. I highly recommend this private tour!

Incredible tour of Athens.

We had a wonderful tour of the Acropolis and museum, the olympic stadium, the changing of the guards at the Prime Ministers building, the ancient Agoura and a delicious lunch at a "non tourist" greek restaurant. The driver (Jimmy) and the guide (Vasso) were incredible. We learned so much about the area and the history - I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see this area.

A Splendid Experience

On the recommendation of friends, we booked this tour and a 5 hour tour to the Temple of Poseidon. Frank/Fotis, the owner of the company, was extremely helpful in recommending tours and managing our bookings as well as offering recommendations for Katakolon and Santorini. We had a wonderful day with Anthony. He had great knowledge on every place we visited. He was kind and courteous and enjoyable. Everything went off without a hitch. We did the full day Athens to Sparta group tour. An excellent service from start to finish: Frank responded to many of our email and WhatsApp queries/requests instantly. Our tour guide and driver were so informative, patient and kind. Our group consisted of 3 teachers and 21 adult students. All of us were so happy with this company. Great way to see Athens in a day

This is a good way to see some of the prime sights in Athens in one day, such as the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Acropolis Museum, the changing of the guard outside the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You can tailor it your own specification varying the time you spend at each site to suit you. Michaelis was a great driver who gave additional insight to each place we visited and made the whole day enjoyable.

A fantastic tour with an exceptional guide

Our tour guide Frank was exceptional! He was incredibly engaging, knowledgeable and did a great job of taking care of us. Frank made the experience fantastic by customizing the day to fit our needs and interests. For example, my family eats a vegan diet and he made sure to recommend a restaurant that could accommodate our needs and even went out of his way to take us to the neighborhood where NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo grew up as we are huge fans. This all day tour is a great way to experience the must see sites within Athens. I highly recommend the private tour and when booking ask for Frank, you won't be disappointed.

A comfortable but full of activities fun day for family

The whole day tour is packed with many great landmarks in Athens and it’s a comfortable tour for a family. The tour guide, Panos is very knowledgeable, nice and accommodating. We got lost in one of our visits while he was waiting in the car and he even had a video call with me all the way until we found our destination. He even brought us in souvenir shops when we requested. I would recommend Panos for a private tour.

Amazing day tour at Athens

We had a memorable tour with Viator on the full day Athens tour. The driver Mr Panos was extremely courteous and gave us a lot of insight about the significant spots in Athens. Our family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Athens at One Glance

Panos was amazing, a great guy who is super accommodating. We got lost in finding the pick-up point for our tickets but he was patient enough to guide us. The Tour was generally nice. Not too tiring but you get the most out of the tour since there are many scenic spots in Athens that you get to see and discover.

Excellent experience

It is the third time we use Hellenic Tours on trips to Turkey and Greece and we highly reccomend them for an Excellent service at all times. Perfect Full Day tour covering all of the highlights.

We were a group of 9 co-workers ranging in age from 23 to over 70. Michael and Paris led our team and every one of us agreed the tour was spectacular. The Mercedes van was spotless and comfortable. The communication from the tour company, exemplary. Pick up at 8AM on the dot. The taverna for lunch was perfect. They had umbrellas for an unexpected shower and picked a perfect waterfront spot for afternoon coffee. These were the nuts and bolts that made the day go smoothly. What gives this tour 5 stars was the extraordinary care Paris and Michael gave to our group and the depth of knowledge mixed with humor they both delivered. The ancient sites are extraordinary, but Paris gave us a full appreciation and understanding of what our eyes were taking in. Highest Recommendation.

We really loved being able to tailor the tour to our interests. Nancy was very helpful and informative. It was a truly enjoyable experience. We learned so much about the city. We would reccomend the tour for anyone with just a day to spend in Athens.

5-Star Experience: Full-Day Private Tour Athens

We did the full-day private tour of Athens for a party of 6. We arranged for a van with driver and a tour guide. The tour guide was well worth the money because she could join us at the different sites and provide a lot of insight and history. The van was comfortable and the driver was a pro. I wouldn't want to drive in Athens due to the traffic, crazy drivers and lack of parking spots. I would book with Hellenic Private tours again without any hesitation.

Excellent tour with great driver and guide

We were a group of 14 friends on a 1-week visit to Greece and Hellenic Private Tours did an excellent job handling all our arrangements. The full day private tour of Athens was a great way to hit all the highlights of that amazing city! Our guide Paris was knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor, and our driver Evan was beyond compare! He was polite, professional and skillfully navigated the crowded streets of Athens, getting us around safely and quickly.

Jimmy is an excellent guide!

We were guided by Jimmy whose extensive knowledge of Athens and its history was remarkable. Easy-going and gregarious, Jimmy was able to guide us to the top attractions and give us enough time to soak in the rich history of the sites. One suggestion would be to move to the museum a little earlier as there is so much to take in in this magnificent edifice. Please request Jimmy for your private tour…you will not be disappointed!

Athens, yes please!

Thanks to this tour, Nancy (our guide) and our driver, we were able to see the highlights of Athens in a short period of time. We really appreciate how Nancy seemed to get us to our destination before the crowds! She thought of everything and remained flexible when a snack break was needed. We able to get an early start which was perfect because it was during record heat. Nancy brought us to a local restaurant which we loved....it was a great day catered to our family.

Our Day in Athens

This was a fabulous tour. Jimmy, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave detailed history of Greece and the historical site we were to see. We went through the sites at our own pace. Recommend a Greek restaurant that was very reasonably priced and delicious food. We had such a great experience. Highly recommend. We started early and would suggest that strategy.

Perfect Day in Athens

Our group of 13 family members ages ranging from 9-75 had the BEST day with our private tour. We were picked up conveniently from our cruise ship, had a brand new beautiful tour van and the best guide. We saw all of the major highlights of the city in a day. Our guide was fantastic, he made sure we all were comfortable and enjoyed our experience. We saw the Olympic stadium, changing of the guards, many ancient landmarks, city sites, acropolis with pre paid tickets though the tour made it very easy. We ended with an authentic Greek meal at a wonderful restaurant with reservation accommodations made thought our guide. We then were dropped to our hotel where we stayed after our cruise. I can not say enough good things about HP Tours, their communication and their guide, top notch. I would book this tour without hesitation.

Good tour, great guide, questionable lunch stop

We visited Athens during the brutal heat wave this summer and I have never been so grateful for a private van in my life! Our tour guide was Panos and he was great. He spoke with lots of knowledge, information and patience to our family as we toured for the day. The van was cool and comfortable and we even enjoyed the presentations on the video screen before stopping at different sites! The reason we went to 4 stars (almost 3) was the meal stop. I believe it is a tour owner favorite, family connection or there are kickbacks for the drivers. Because, for the life of me, I can’t understand why the estate ant stop was where we visited. Honestly, although it was locally owned and nostalgic, there must be 100’s of better options. The food was so so at best. The server forgot two of our meal orders, and then delivered a pasta with shrimp that were dirty and uncooked. He then seemed annoyed that we did not want to stay and order dessert. Do your research and visit a side street cafe near the Agora, or anywhere else. We almost did this and it is our only regret that we didn’t push for OUR choice of stop. It’s your tour - do your research prior and make it what you want.

Fantastic!

This was simply Amazing! Michael made this day really special for me and my kids. We went everywhere and saw everything we wanted and more! Michael recommended a great restarant for lunch and gave us great tips for getting in and out of attractions easily. Totally recommend!

Athens private all day tour!

HP Tours was amazing and very knowledgeable about the history of Athens. This private tour was excellent and we enjoyed every moment with them! They were also flexible with the time and we were able to see some other areas. Lunch spot they recommended was also very good and quiet. We also would with them on getting us transportation to the airport the very next day. What a great service! Highly recommend this tour!

Panos was our tour guide and did a fantastic job of navigating and providing history of Greece, including a pull down screen with a slide show. It was great to learn the information and then get out and see if for ourselves. It was an incredibly hot day and he always had cold water and air conditioning available. All of the communication prior to the tour was accurate and complete. I knew exactly what was and was not included and how much money to have in Euros to pay for tickets and our museum guide. We purchased tickets to skip the lines and we also had a private English speaking tour guide for the Acropolis Museum. I highly recommend this! Myrto was incredibly knowledgeable and was able maximize our time in the museum. Otherwise, we would have wandered through feeling as if we needed to read every plaque. We are a family of 4, with 2 young adult children. No one was bored and Panos and Myrto kept our attention the entire day. Highly recommend this activity!

Believe the 5 stars! Their communication before the tour was quick and complete. Instructions of what to expect, how much things would cost, and how and when they would arrive was easy to understand. Our driver Mamo (unsure on spelling) was great! Very nice and unbelievable how well he handled the van in crazy traffic! We had a private guide who was educated in archeology so gave us a very informative tour and was very friendly. Lunch was at a small local restaurant so we got to try traditional meals at very reasonable cost. Another great part of the tour! Would highly recommend this company!!
