Both tours meet our expectations. The two ladies who were our guides are very knowledgeable and professionals. Everything was as scheduled. It was a very nice experience.

Magnificent

Thoroughly enjoyed our city sightseeing tour with the Parthenon and the history of past events. Early arrival ensured pleasant atmosphere and walking trails and views of each ruins. Magnificent sites to the mere human eye

Excellent morning in Athens; skip the afternoon.

We went on this tour October 18, 2023. We thoroughly enjoyed the morning component with your guide Vicki. The visit to the Acropolis and Acropolis museum were definitely the highlights. Vicki was lovely and an amazing wealth of information. We greatly appreciated the “whisper” technology that allowed us to hear her commentary clearly. If we had a do-over, we likely would have skipped the trip to Cape Sounion. It was a little underwhelming after our fabulous morning experience and our afternoon tour guide had little personality and seemed disinterested. On the bright side, the drive afforded us a look at the coast south of the city. Overall worth the cost and a great introduction to Athens.

Long day of doing both tours

Did the double tour with city sightseeing and then Sounion. It was a long day and I’m not sure if I would recommend doing both. The city sightseeing was perfect but the trip out to Sounion is long and coming back we were dropped off at a hotel that wasn’t ours. We were so tired we got off anyway and walked back to our hotel.

DORA IS THE BEST

We had an amazing experience, especially during the tour of the Acropolis. Dora was very knowledgeable about the history of Greece in relation to the Acropolis, as well as all of the sites we passed along the way! There was some fuss about the static in the devices that allowed you to hear the guide from the back of the group, but that is expected with the number of people around in separate groups who had similar devices. (I suspect hearing aid interference as well.) All in all, Dora is the standard at which we will hold any future guide, and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour!!

Athens overview

This tour was a good overview of Athens. We were only in the city for a day. We were able to see the highlights of the city.

It was great! People were super nice and we had time to see everything we wanted to! We did the all day package that included Acropolis, the Museum and the Cape. Great way to have an amazing overview!

Joy (guide) and Dimitri...

Joy (guide) and Dimitri (driver) were amazing! Loved that the bus was air conditioned and the admission tickets were included. Highly recommend if you want to cover a lot of ground in one day. Tip: wear shoes with gripping soles. Marble is slippery.

Great foundation to start your visit

Other than miscommunication about transportation back, it was a very good tour. Lots of historical information.

Great Tour!

This was a great full-day tour! We covered a lot of ground throughout Athens! Our tour guide, Joy, was very friendly and knowledgeable. While we didn’t enjoy waiting in the long lines in the heat at the Acropolis, everything else was nice. If I had to do it again, I probably would skip the Cape Sounion portion of the tour. It was nice, but the 1.5 hour drive there and then 1.5 hour drive back didn’t make it worth it, in my opinion.

Great time

Acropolis was amazing and tour guide awesome. Poseidon Temple was good with an amazing view but the van was cramped and did not make for enjoyable ride. Need to do briefing to ensure passengers do not recline if using small van. Acropolis trip the bus was hot.

Waist of time and money

What a waist of time and money, a lot of lecturing with almost nothing to see. The entry to the acropolis and the museum cost €25 only. The trip to cape sounion take 90 minutes each way to see a couple of columns at the top of a hill. Not recommend at all.

Saw a lot

We had a good experience doing both tours but it did make for a very long day. The only negative I had was there was very little time for lunch by the time our Athens tour ended. The Poseidon’s Temple tour was a separate group from the Athens tour. We had less than 40 minutes to find a place to eat before we had to return for the next tour.

Wonderful multipart trip.

This was a great trip. The morning excursion to the Acropolis was magical. Loved the Acropolis Museum. Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon were unexpectedly moving.

Our tour Director was absolutely wonderful! He knew all the history we wanted to know. He made the trip a memorable experience. and thanks again to all of you!

Scenic sights, but disorganized bus tour

Yes, you’ll see the Parthenon. And yes, there’s a scenic drive to the Temple of Poseidon. But this is a standard bus tour with grouchy tour guides and passengers bewildered by the confusing instructions and lack of organization. This is a combo of two separate tours with different vehicles and guides, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The pickup locations are unclear and I could not get a response from the office prior to the tour.

Half Day Athens and Cape Sounion

The Temple of Poseidon was amazing! Our tour guides were very informative and gave us plenty of time to walk around and view everything.

Disappointing

Our guide spoke too fast and in monotone, very boring. We left the tour and didn’t finish, we went off on our own. Waste of time and money!

Spectacular Acropolis!

The tour of Athens was good and the Acropolis is spectacular, but the tour guides speaker system did not work well, meetup instructions were very vague, and you need to be able to walk quickly to keep up with the guide. The slower walkers in our group were simply left behind. Cape Sounion is interesting but the drive is long for what there is to see.

Absolutely terrible

We were extremely excited for this trip but unfortunately it was the worst experience we had as the tour guide lady, Illia, was one the most racist person we met in Greece. She was trying to guess from which country we were from and trying to humiliate by saying "Are you allowed to wear these clothes in your country (just a top and skirt). Ohh I thought you are wearing burkas in your country" (she was trying to mock). She was absolutely the most ignorant person we met in Greece and it is even a shame for Greek people to have this lady as a representative of their country. It is even surprising that the ministry of tourism of Greece even allows this kind of people to be tour guides. Additionally, Illia gave so little information, lucky we had a background on Greek architecture and history but the historical information part was a disaster. We would never ever recommend this trip as long as the tour guide, Illia, guides this tour. It is very disappointing and unfortunate.

Loved!

This was a great tour!!! I learned so much about the ancient Greek culture and architecture. Getting on multiple busses in multiple locations was a bit confusing but we still enjoyed the AC bus with WiFi. We had lunch at the Plaka after the morning tour and then hopped on the bus to finish out the afternoon tour. Sounion was beautiful but a very long ride (over an hour 1 way) and the view was beautiful but it just made for a very long day. So if you do this tour, be sure you’ve had plenty of sleep because it’s a full day of fun. I loved the tour guides (Zeta and Dmitra, I think)- they were so smart, friendly, and beautiful. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes for the Acropolis-it’s very slick and I saw multiple people fall and slip on the marble.

The experience was wonderful! Vicky (sightseeing and acropolis) and Mina (cape sounion trip) we’re both fantastic and knowledgable guides. I had a wonderful time and would recommend.

Wonderful, informative tour

We really enjoyed the trip to the Acropolis and Cape Sounion. Our tour guides did a wonderful job of keeping us on schedule and on task. I would highly recommend this tour. It was a great value for the limited time we had to spend in Athens.

Excellent tour! Terrible bus!

The ancient ruins on the tour were quite captivating! However, the poorly working AC on the bus only exacerbated the heat index on the bus!

Best deal for your money

The whole tour is great for what you pay for. Cheaper than other tours. Our tour guide Iota(her short name) made sure she didn't lose anyone.. Great experience over all. Would highly recommend this tour. Miralyn Toronto

Acropolis and museum

Awesome tour both of Acropolis, and the museum with Avekios. The tour started and ended on time. Very professional and knowledgeable.

We loved our tour guide! She is was so nice and knowledgeable. The views were beautiful. I highly recommend! The bus was also comfortable.

This tour was amazing...

This tour was amazing with views of all the sights. The tour guide was knowledgeable and fun and included everything. If time is limited in Athens, you could skip the Temple of Poseidon portion and still feel accomplished.

Save your money

If going on the full day tour you should know that you don’t get back until about 6:30pm. Overall, the tour was boring and not very informative or organized. One positive was skipping all the lines but there was a lot of time just riding around on a bus. It would’ve been cheaper to go to all of the sites on our own.

Educational & Efficient Overview of City

The morning part of the tour was a great way to get a nice overview of Athens very quickly. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us understand what we were looking at so that we could visualize what was there hundreds of years ago. The afternoon bus ride out to Poseidon's Temple was filled with beautiful scenery followed by a concise explanation of the area and its significance.

Thank you Dora, George and Effie for the tour. I really enjoyed it. If you choose all the options like i did, you will go on two tours. 1 in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

Great opportunity to learn from amazing guides!

My family booked the half day Athens city tour and a half day trip to Cape Sounion. Both tour guides were amazing and their personalities fit perfectly for the type of trip. One thing to note is that it really is 2 different tours so you have to check in a few times but really that wasn't that bad! I would have loved to spend a little more time in the museum but because it was the end of the 1st day and we needed time for lunch, we weren't able to spend more than 15 minutes wandering around after the tour concluded.

Great tour, and include the cape sounion if you have the time!

This was a very well organized tour and got a lot accomplished. Make sure you pay attention to what they stop at and what they pass by. I was aware, but others weren’t on the tour and complained about why we weren’t stopping at certain things. Those are probably the people who leave bad reviews. Probably their first time going on a group tour as well. The guides were very friendly and provided great information. In fact, they provided too much information at times. Not like that’s a bad thing, but sometimes it’s nice to not have to wait forever and move on with the tour. Least of my worries. I added the additional trip to cape sounion, which I loved. You have about an hour and a half break in between to grab some lunch. The ride is about 90 minutes there, and maybe 2 hours back due to rush hour. It was not during sunset, so you’d have to book a different trip for that. The drive along the coast is gorgeous and while some people find Poseidon’s temple boring and not worth the trip, I disagree. The views are worth it alone. Great price for everything you get to see and lines you get to cut!

Bring umbrellas, fans anything to help cool you off they stand smack dab in the sun We were a group of 6 ages 18-37 but too much info for us on Parthenon tour Poseidon was much better not too bad

Wonderful tour

It was a wonderful tour in its content and the guide was super experienced and knowledgeable but she tried to impart too much knowledge to us and over whelmed us with detail. The whole day tour was well worth the money and we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon drive to cape sounion with a different guide.

Beautiful day in Athens

The trip is beautiful and a great way to travel. The application for speaking in the museum is time delayed and very hard to hear. The guide was fine when we listened without the app.

Great experience!

I love Greek history and traveled solo to Greece. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we saw most of Athens. Seeing most of the ancient history of Athens and the Acropolis Museum was absolutely incredible and a great introduction to Ancient Greek history. We passed by a few temples I would've liked to spend time in (the Temple of Zeus for example) that I went to during my free time at lunch. I think as an introduction it's an amazing trip but you definitely need a bit more time to really dive into Athens if you're a history buff! Thank you! (August, 2018)

Amazing

Wow! Visiting theAcropolis, then seeing it at the museum was amazing. Demetra was our guide and Costas was the driver-great morning and on time. Cape Sunion with Nancy and Costas was breathtaking. Pickup and drop off included and well worth the price. However, TripIt had noise interference so we just stayed close to our guide.

Amazing Experience

Visiting the Parthenon was incredible and my favorite part of the trip. Our tour guide. Nancy, was very informative of all of the sites we were seeing. I learned so much and would definitely recommend this to someone who is visiting Athens!

Great tour

Private tour w your guide to mueseum which gave me lots of info. Then to accropolis n tour to top, both had free time on own too. Tour of sime sutes in city was nice w some insights. Loved it, still 5 months later, still have great memories

Athens sights in one day.

Two part your, first half day at Acropolis and Acropolis museum and city drive past etc. Tour guide Dora was just magnificent, fountain of knowledge delivered in an engaging manner, could never have done this ourselves. Second half day was your to Cape Sounion, this basically 3 hours driving in round trip and 1 hour at ruins. Good to have drive along coast, but unless you really are into archeological sights, not really worth the time. Different guide did your in English and French, so if you lost concentration, sometimes did not realised she had changed back to english.

Beautiful seaside views

CHAT Tours was the tour group. Weather for great for excursion both am and pm. The guide for the AM was very knowledgeable and shared great information regarding history, got us to areas when people volume low. Advised us on best areas at sites to do pictures. Excellent guide for the Archeological Museum. Gave very good instructions for meeting back at bus. Afternoon in Sounion was picturesque. Beautiful seaside views from Athens to Sounion and back. The afternoon guide provided good info & communicated meeting places.

Great history lesson

Guide was Very knowledgeable and funny. Really enjoyed the tour. Was a long trip to Temple of Poseidon I'd recommend doing something else there not just the temple.
