Christina was such a great tour guide, very knowledgeable of the local eateries and so helpful at giving us recommendations for dinner. She made the whole experience stress free and leisurely, giving enough time at each venue to enjoy the food and learn more about some local history. I would highly recommend this tour as it’s a fantastic way to familiarise oneself with a new city and the best places to eat.

Athens Street food tour wows!

Dimitri made the Athens Street Food tour more like visiting the homes of his relatives rather than just walking the streets! He was super engaging, personable, and knowledgeable! The food choices were very good and filling and the commentary as we passed different places rounded out our experience. We could not have asked for a better way to spend an afternoon in Athens.

Fantastic food tour

Fantastic food tour, way more food than I was expecting for the price so definitely come hungry!! Our tour guide (Pascal? I think, sorry it has been over a week now) was very knowledgeable and understanding of the needs of the group. Definitely recommend this tour.

Very good experience! My wife and I had a lot of fun! Food was delicious. Many varieties of tasting. Maybe even too much :). We were hungry before the tour and the whole group was really full at the end! Highly recommended.

We’ve done a lot of food tours in Europe, including some really great ones with the larger food tour companies but this tour was awesome. Our guide Anna was knowledgeable and passionate. 5 places with tons to eat and also inckded some alcohol. Price to value ratio is off the charts. 9 people total, so a nice small group. The company is local which is even better. Support them, they’re great!

Best company!

Best company I’ve worked with! I let them know I couldn’t make my tour due to my flight delay and they were able to accommodate me on another tour since the one I originally booked was sold out the next day. Tour itself was very well done. Sampled a large variety of tasty treats and our tour guide Demitri was very nice as well.

Great value and experience

Great experience! Our tour guide was sweet, she made sure we understood the reasons why we ate at certain places, the history, and where to go if we wanted to explore more. It was a small group of 5, we walked to different areas and sampled foods. It was great for me because i did not do any research on what to eat. This helped give us a flavor on local foods. I went on a tour in Rome, and the Athens tour was better because we sampled alot of foods. It was a great deal and experience.

Anna was a brilliant guide and was very experienced and knowledgable which kept our family with two teens enthralled. She is a credit to your company. This food tour was a highlight of our Athens visit and an unforgettable experience. Thoroughly recommend. Great characters along the way including Stella in the souvlaki shop!

Become street food-wise

The tour was very good. We were taken to areas of Athens we hadn't visited, which were lively and full of locals. Food was plentiful and varied (although most of it was carb loaded!). Fotis, our guide, was friendly, professional and informative. We enjoyed his guidance and detailed explanations of the ingredients, preparation and cooking processes as well as the occasions when the different foods are eaten.

Our tour guide Elenee (I know I’m spelling that wrong, sorry)🥰 She was such a good soul. We had a nice time. Good food , never felt rushed overall relaxing and pleasant experience.

Great way to experience street food

Had a great tour with Christina. She really knows her Greek food. We ate foods for all meals of the day as well as dessert. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend Christina as your guide.

Excellent Tour

Anna was a great guide to some of the best food I’ve eaten. She took my family of four to eight sites. Koulouri, bougatsa, honey, a meat store, gyros, peinitli, loukoumades, and fish market. She personalized the trip by remembering our names and food preferences.

Fabulous authentic experience

Fantastic tour, amazing food. Our guide Christina was wonderful, energetic and enthusiastic - it felt like going on a night out with a friend We ate incredible food from some off the beaten track places (souvlaki!) and loved it all. Highly recommended.

Come Hungry!

We had a great time walking around the city and trying different foods. Most of them you could find on your own (gyro, lukumades, spanakopita) but a few were unique and gave us great ideas and recommendations to find on our own. Our guide gave some history and was very nice. There was a LOT of food included but luckily we were able to box up our leftovers at each stop to take with us.

Friendly companion for eating street food

We had a lovely lunchtime tour with Heleni (probably not spelling correctly). On this tour, you aren’t so much paying for the food but rather for the guidance and background information provided by the guide. Heleni was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, the food, and how those two things come together. We enjoyed souvlaki, koukouri, spanakopita, peinirli (pizza), and Loukoumades (donut balls). We also walked through the open air markets which was an experience.

This tour was amazing and Cristina made it so fun to step out of my comfort zone to try a wide variety of foods. Everything was delicious and roaming different neighborhoods around Athens rather than staying in the central tourist areas was great!

Great few hours of walking, talking and of course food.

We had a great time trying some local specialities. Christina was very informative and clearly knows a lot of history on Athens, and it's food. Highly recommend. But don't eat anything before you go. So much food.

Delicious little stroll

Christina, our guide, showed up ahead of time and gave us good directions as well as a photo of the meeting point to be clear. Once underway, we walked through the square and nearby back streets to a selection of hidden gems serving quality foods. Christina also told us about the history of Athens, some info on Greek mythology and excellent recommendations for her favourite restaurants, best foods to try and top rooftop bars in the city! Definitely recommend and we'll worth the price and time!!

Food tour of Athens

Great tour and we enjoyed all the foods sampled. They were all delicious!!! Our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about the Greek cuisine. I would have rated it a 5 but because of the late time of the tour, many culinary shops along with the meat and spice markets had closed or were in the process of closing. I would have enjoyed touring them as well.

Great experience! Our guide, Penelope, brought us to wonderful places and we truly got a taste of Athens. Good value for your money with all of the food you get to try. Our guide was very accommodating to physical limitations of one of the group members. This is a wonderful way to explore Athens.

Food tour

This food tour was a great way to see the local neighborhoods and try the local food. By the end of the tour we were stuffed, so this is plenty of food to be considered dinner. Our guide was awesome too!

Fantastic Food Tour

It was really a fantastic experience. We made the tour on our first day in Athens and got to know many spots where to get supreme street food. Visited most of the spots mulitple times thereafter. Thanks for that experience, we can only recommend to everyone.

Highly recommend to any foodie!

Yiota is such a great tour guide with an amazing knowledge of Athens, the food we ate and, when appropriate, it's historical origin. Loved the experience so much when I participated last September that I took the same tour again with my husband this time we visited Greece. The food choices were great and filling! No worries if you are a vegetarian, you were still able to eat a variety of items indigenous to Greece. Take this tour in the beginning of your trip so you get acquainted with parts of Athens, its history and, great places to eat!

Great food, Great guide, left stuffed

I highly recommend this food tour. Pascal was an excellent guide and we were stuffed by the end of the tour. If you book the 1200 tour, do not eat breakfast prior. Pascal did a great job of offering us food options we had not tried yet and everything was delicious. Even my 6 year old who is a very picky eater tried most things. Pascal really tried to accommodate him. Even though we were already on our 3rd day in Athens, we were still able to try a bunch of new foods and venture into areas we had not yet discovered. Definitely worth the money! Thank you Pascal!

Mind-opening! So memorable

Make sure you start the tour hungry because the food starts pretty much straight away! All tastings were delicious, and we tried foods that we wouldn’t have normally tried and would not have even known to try. Highly recommended!

Fun tour, good stops

We enjoyed the tour, and tasting a number of Greek foods we had not yet, even after several days around Athens. We had a number of local specialties - street foods, pastries, drinks and more. Be sure to attend hungry, and don't plan for much dinner afterwards!

DEFINITELY worth every penny! We had a ball and had more food than we could possibly eat. We really enjoyed how Christina gave us the background on all of the amazing Greek food, coffee and drinks. You can tell she has a great passion for what she does and wanted to make sure we had a great time.

Full and happy!

I had a great tour with Pascal! He took us around and despite being only myself and my brother on the tour, we had lot of interesting conversations. After we told him that we had already some of the Greek street food, he has kindly changed some of the dishes to allow us to have things we never tried! Lot of food and definitely enough for us to be full. My favourite was the yogurt with honey and walnuts at the end!

Pascal was an awesome guide. He greets us warmly with food in his hand. He answers all our questions. He enjoys what he does. His English is great. The pace and schedule was just right. The number of different places and foods was fantastic. Even after spending two weeks traveling the Peloponnesian peninsula and Saronic Island, I was still exposed to new culture and foods.

Super fun personable tour

Pascal was really great! He knows a lot about Greek food and everything about the city so it was really great walking around and hearing everything from his experience. Most places we went to, food and drinks were waiting for us, which he gladly told us everything about :)
